Everyone's pitching. Everyone's posturing. And everyone's got something to lose. In Industry Season 4, Episode 3 (“Habseligkeiten”), the tension ratchets up on both sides of the Atlantic as Harper and Yasmin maneuver through billion-dollar deals, media manipulation, and high-stakes personal drama. The theme? Sell it or sink.Brandon & Chanel break down this packed episode:Harper and Eric pitch SternTao to high-net-worth investors — and walk away with $90M (but at what cost?)Sweetpea brings the receipts (again!) — only to face Rishi, a box of shady Tender transactions, and major betrayalYasmin and Henry schmooze their way through a decadent Austrian merger mission — with Nazis, nepotism, and op-eds on “benevolent dictatorship”That final painting reveal? Hitler. Yes, really.Hayley confesses she slept with Dycker, the FinDigest journalist… and Yasmin's reaction? ChillingHarper's spinning: fights with Kwabena, fights with Eric, fights with everyone — and “Orinoco Flow” is on blastThe Jeffrey scene is pure procedural gold — and quietly one of the most haunting discoveries in the series so farHenry's pitch to Bevan goes better than expected, but merger turbulence is comingYasmin & Hayley's tension (and seduction?) brews in the background — and might be the next powder kegKenny's back! And still waxing poetic about sell-side servitudeThis might be Industry's most layered, morally grey, and narratively sharp episode yet. There are Nazis in castles, billionaires peddling trauma, women doing deals in the woods, and Harper spinning out in a haze of cigarettes, short positions, and heartbreak. Industry Season 4 is in peak form — and Brandon & Chanel are here for every backstab and Bloomberg terminal refresh.
Send us a textWe are BACK with one of the most dense, finance-forward, darkly entertaining episodes of Industry YET. With a title that evokes the theme of "belongings", this episode is all about who belongs in which rooms, who belongs to whom when it comes to control, and what are our characters willing to sacrifice to ultimately get what they want.We see Eric and Harper's short-only hedge fund struggling to get enough investor buy-in to get off the ground. As Jim Dycker prepares to publish his allegations about Tender's murky payments business, the episode leans hard into the real risks of short-selling; being right doesn't matter unless you have timing, proof, and a story the market believes. We unpack the real history of infamous shorts gone awry with the Ackman/Icahn battle over Herbalife in a mini-history lesson you won't want to miss. But just as much as Harper wants money coming through the doors, she struggles to open up to Eric and Kwabena, both of whom seek closeness on a personal AND professional level. Will Harper ever be able to actually let anyone in? Perhaps Sweetpea, with her mutual love of ethically questionable investigations, is her only true soulmate.Meanwhile, Tender seeks to acquire an Austrian bank in order to backdoor a European banking license, and the C-suite is forced to confront a bad actor with fascist sympathies. Yasmin takes control of Henry, pushing him to weaponize his trauma, managing regulators through political and media pressure, and inserting herself into rooms where she clearly doesn't “belong.” In Vienna, what looks like a merger charm offensive veers into something darker, both for the company and Yasmin & Henry's marriage. This is where the title's meaning lands with a punch. In the world of Industry, money, morals, and people themselves have become possessions that can be claimed, traded, and taken away.Shop our Self Paced Courses: Investment Banking & Private Equity Fundamentals HEREFixed Income Sales & Trading HERE Wealthfront.com/wss. Send us a textWhat does it mean to be "clothed with power from on high"? This question forms the heart of today's exploration into spiritual transformation and mission effectiveness.Looking out from Shakespeare & Company bookstore in Paris onto Notre Dame Cathedral, our narrative begins with an honest confession of missionary frustration. How do we become light in spiritual darkness? The answer wasn't found in grand strategies but in surrendering to God's power working through ordinary relationships. The stories shared transport us from the bustling streets of Paris to intimate moments of transformation—Kwabena finding God just days after arriving in a new country, Nam abandoning Buddhism for Christ, Mohamed coming to church seeking romance but finding salvation, and Christophe surrendering to Jesus in the shadow of the Grand Arch (ironically built to symbolize humanity's advancement beyond religion). Each story demonstrates how God's power works through faithful presence and authentic connections. At the core of this message lies Luke 24:48-49, where Jesus promises to clothe His followers with power from on high. This clothing isn't merely a covering but a complete empowerment that transforms our effectiveness. We discover that being clothed with power requires recognition of our limitation, submission to Holy Spirit's leading, and faithful obedience in small things before greater responsibility. The imagery of fire recurs throughout—not just any fire, but one that creates sparks that fly outward, igniting transformation in others. This divine power operates not through overwhelming force but through one relationship at a time, starting in our immediate sphere of influence before expanding outward. The profound promise "I am with you" anchors everything. We're never alone in this mission because the very power we need is available through His presence. Will you allow yourself to be clothed with this power today? Take a moment now to surrender your limitations and ask for fresh fire that doesn't just warm you but ignites transformation in everyone you touch.Cornerstonehttps://www.cornerstoneaz.org/Follow Jesushttps://www.cornerstoneaz.org/follow-jesusLife Groups https://www.cornerstoneaz.org/life-groupsGiving https://cornerstoneaz.churchcenter.com/givingChurch Center App - Download then add Cornerstone Christian Center in Avondale, AZiOShttps://itunes.apple.com/us/app/my-church-center/id1357742931?mt=8&ls=1&ign-mpt=uo%3D4Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ministrycentered.churchcenter----Instagram https://www.instagram.com/cornerstoneazFacebookhttps://www.facebook.com/cornerstoneaz.orgTwitterhttps://twitter.com/cornerstoneaz.org

The victim was struck in the knee by a bullet while sitting in his vehicle at an intersection on June 27. We'll be right back Break 2: TOM WAGES STORY 4: New warrant reveals dolly, gardening tools seized from home where Gwinnett teen vanished A new warrant reveals several items were seized from the home of missing 16-year-old Asata Amun in Gwinnett County. Asata was last seen on a doorbell camera in February. Her father, Kwabena Amun, has been uncooperative and is accused of abusing his children. Detectives seized a dolly, gardening tools, shoes, and his SUV, suspecting child cruelty. Asata's mother, Jasmine Dominique, finds the warrant's contents disturbing and believes Kwabena is hiding something. Kwabena denies abuse claims. Police are still searching for Asata, but Kwabena has not been named a suspect or person of interest. STORY 5: The color of their swimsuit could save your child's life Before hitting the beach or pool, it's crucial to prioritize water safety, especially for children. One widely discussed tip is the "swimsuit color rule," emphasizing the importance of brightly colored swimsuits, particularly neon shades. These colors make individuals much easier to spot underwater, potentially preventing drownings which tragically remain the leading cause of death for children under 4, as per the CDC. Water can distort perception, making it crucial to avoid mistaking people for other objects. Organizations like ALIVE Solutions underscore the need for highly visible swimwear to ensure swift identification in emergencies. Alongside this rule, other precautions, including close supervision and basic water safety education, are essential for a safer day by the water. We'll be back in a moment Break 3: INGLES 2 STORY 6: What's filming in Georgia July 2024? Recently, several major productions wrapped up filming, including "Fight Night" with Kevin Hart and Samuel L. Jackson for Peacock, J.J. Abrams' "Flowervale Street" featuring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor, and a reboot of "Naked Gun" starring Liam Neeson. Also completed were Kevin Bacon's Amazon series "The Bondsman," David Corenswet's "Superman" movie, season four of Netflix's "Sweet Magnolias," and the final season of "Cobra Kai." Currently, few notable projects have begun production since late May, including reality shows, independent films, and unannounced series like "She the People" on Netflix and "G.R.I.T.S." for ALLBLK. The Georgia film office lists active productions, often under pseudonyms like "Cedar Lodge" for "Stranger Things" and "Oops All Berries" for the Disney film "Thunderbolts." STORY 7: LAKO: Smart financial moves: Managing children's earnings and inheritance When children earn money, whether through chores, jobs, or other means like acting or modeling, parents often manage it until the child reaches adulthood, typically 18 or 21. Banks may allow minors to have accounts with adult cosigners, but custodial accounts are necessary for owning stocks or mutual funds. A custodial Roth IRA is a smart investment option for children with earned income, capped at $7,000 annually or 100% of earnings, whichever is less. Parents often start with savings accounts, potentially growing into substantial investments like CDs or mutual funds by the child's teenage years. Transferring funds to a 529 Plan for education or a Roth IRA for retirement can optimize long-term financial growth, ensuring tax benefits and strategic asset management. Seeking advice from a financial advisor can help parents navigate these decisions and secure their child's financial future responsibly. We'll have final thoughts after this.
