Just when the NFL thinks it can one-up the USL Championship, the regular season fires out of the starting gates this weekend. The guys take time this week to try and debate what the Lights will do without a full roster to be found anywhere and contemplate how big of an influence LAFC will have on them this season. Closer to home though, we think we know what is going to happen in terms of a team sheet and the result. We'll see on Sunday just how close we were to being right. Soccer returns...sort of. The Co-Hosts of the My 3 Subs: A Soccer Odyssey Podcast present a special full-length radio broadcast style “match" (including pre-game, halftime, and post game shows) between two teams which have never faced each other, Las Vegas and Memphis. In honor of the home team Memphis 901 FC, the Brass Door pre-game will begin at 9:01 am (central) at My3SubsPodcast.com & other major platforms. While the contest is a virtual presentation, the passion for the game of soccer is 100% real. How? Memphis 901 FC television broadcaster & My 3 Subs Podcast Co-Host Tim Van Horn will handle the play-by-play of this fantasy match. WHBQ-AM Sports Talk Host Peter Edmiston will be the color analyst for the match. Edmiston, like Van Horn, has called television matches for Memphis 901 FC. Tim and Brodee have assembled an incredible team of local media talent in a safe, socially distant way, hopefully bringing a fun diversion in these very difficult times. Cast: Pete Pranica (Memphis Grizzlies TV) Corinne Kennedy (Memphis Commercial Appeal), John Varlas (The Daily Memphian), Jarvis Greer (WMC-TV Memphis), JJ Greer (Memphis 901 FC Broadcasts & Former USL player) Tyler Springs (Memphis 901 FC Broadcasts on ESPN+) Jeff Brightwell (University of Memphis Broadcasts) Mike Mears (The Grumpy Ref Episode) Rich Duffy (The GLUPRO Desk) Why? No advertising revenue was accepted for this soccer presentation. Instead, the Podcast team has given the “ad” time to local businesses who are part of the Memphis soccer culture and to MidSouthFoodbank.org (Memphis) ThreeSquare.org (Las Vegas) FeedingAmerica.org (Nationwide) While neither club was actively involved in this production, the Podcast team is grateful for the joy they bring us fans. Tim and Brodee hope they can help each city in some way during this Coronavirus crisis. Thank you for listening to this Special Memphis 901 FC vs Las Vegas Lights "Match". For world soccer news and compelling interviews, visit my3subspodcast.com . Support the show.
Tim Van Horn and Brodee Scott sit down for a chat with Peter Edmiston. Thanks to technology, each are in his own home during the podcast. Edmiston hosts a morning drive sports-talk show on WHBQ-AM 560 in Memphis, Tennessee. He is also a writer for The Athletic and performed color analysis for Memphis 901 FC soccer matches on ESPN+ & CW-30 (Memphis). Like Brodee (Arsenal) and Tim (West Ham), Peter's soccer fandom involves past triumphs but current heartaches (Newcastle). The three discuss a bit about the current state of their respective teams. Before tears can flow however, they move on to other topics. The trio discuss the report about the Premier League possibly playing the remainder of the 2019-20 season. Options include playing the remaining nine or 10 matches within 30 days and behind closed doors. They discuss its feasibility and whether the season should simply end now. Former Manchester United and England star Rio Ferdinand has suggested the entire season be null and void. This would leave Liverpool, clearly Champions-Elect, without the title. Peter, Brodee and Tim discuss the seriousness of Ferdinand's suggestion. Former manager Jose' Mourinho has been spotted volunteering, helping pack and deliver meals for the elderly. One former superstar isn't going out in public, but not by choice. Brodee, Peter, and Tim talk about Ronaldinho's time behind bars! You be the judge, but the guys think he might be having fun! Brodee and Tim ask Peter about his work as a radio host and writer, covering various sports. Thank you to Peter Edmiston for dropping in for a chat. Don't forget! Listen at my3subpodcast.com as Soccer returns on Wednesday, April 1 at 9:01am with the pre-game show! Memphis 901 FC hosts Las Vegas Lights FC. Check out the press release to learn more about this special presentation. Support the show.

The Golden Knights Watch Podcast is back for a guest double-header! This week Jack Manning and AJ Alexander were joined by two outstanding guests, J.D. Burke of EliteProspects.com and Tyler Bischoff, host of Technically Correct on ESPN 100.9 F.M. J.D. Burke Just before he leaves for his first prospect scouting trip of the 2019/20 season, we sat down with J.D. Burke, the Editor in Chief of EliteProspects.com, a contributor to The Athletic, and the new host of Hockey Prospects Radio on SiriusXM NHL Network Radio. “Krebs going at 17 [to the Golden Knights] was absurd. Just categorically absurd. He is one of the best playmakers in the draft… Krebs has the highest motor in the entire class, and has captain written all over him.” “Dorofeyev has some of the best puck skills in this draft. His hands are amazing. I think they really hit a home run with that pick.” -J.D. Burke Editor-in-Chief of EliteProspects.com Burke gives his expert opinion on all of the picks the Golden Knights 2019 draft picks (Peyton Krebs, Pavel Dorofeyev, Kaeden Korczak, Marcus Kallionkieli, Layton Ahac, Ryder Donovan, and Mason Primeau), and top prospects (Cody Glass, Lucas Elvenes, Jake Leschyshyn, Nic Hague, and Jonas Røndbjerg). Burke also talks about his new role with EliteProspects.com, including his upcoming article about the newest Golden Knight, Nicolas Roy. Tyler Bischoff Just before heading to the latest match for Las Vegas Lights FC, Tyler Bischoff of Technically Correct on ESPN 100.9 F.M. joined us to give some insight into his time covering local sports in Las Vegas. Bischoff has covered the Golden Knights since inception. "[Gerard Gallant] does a lot of comfort coaching, and this feels like a comfort re-signing of Deryk Engelland..." This conversation from just before free agency covers everything from roster changes to Nate Schmidt's unfortunate absence last fall.
