Career Q&A with Kristin Chenoweth. Moderated by Richard Ridge, Broadway World. Emmy and Tony Award winning actress and singer, Kristin Chenoweth, takes the lead in a career that spans film, television, voiceover and stage, effortlessly. She received an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on the ABC series Pushing Daisies (Pushing Daisies was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award and Emmy Award for “Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy.”) More recently, Chenoweth lit up the stage of McKinley High as a former student who returned to town with more than the baggage from her flight, on Fox's hit comedy, Glee. Though Kristin has often come into our livingrooms on hit shows such as The West Wing (where she starred as Annabeth Schott) and as a guest judge on both American Idol and Project Runway, she may be most remembered by Broadway lovers everywhere for her origination of the role of Glinda the Good Witch in Wicked, which earned her a Tony Award Nomination, and her Tony-winning performance in You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, for which she stole the show and many hearts in the process. Chenoweth will next be seen on-screen in the Universal film The Boy Next Door, alongside Jennifer Lopez, and in the animated Lucas film fairy tale musical Strange Magic, both set to be released on January 23. She will also be seen in the film A Bet's A Bet (International title: The Opposite Sex), releasing in January. She's completed production on the indie teen drama entitled Hard Sell and the Disney Channel's live-action original movie Descendants, in which she will play the classic Sleeping Beauty villain Maleficent. Chenoweth will return to Broadway, playing the glamorous film star, Lily Garland, in the Roundabout Theatre Company's 20-week limited engagement of On the Twentieth Century in March. In addition to her starring roles on stage and screen, in 2009, Kristin also wrote an upliftingly candid, comedic chronicle of her life so far, in, A Little Bit Wicked, which was released by Simon & Schuster, and debuted at # 12 on the New York Times Hardcover Non-Fiction Best Seller List. Kristin is also a passionate supporter of charities which dedicate their time and efforts to helping those in need, such as: the Kristin Chenoweth Art & Education Fund, The Red Cross, Broadway Cares EFA, The Point Foundation, ASTEP, breast cancer awareness, adoption advocacy and organizations supporting animal welfare. Chenoweth earned a Bachelor's degree in Musical Theater and a Master's degree in Opera Performance from Oklahoma City University. She was also presented with Honorary Doctorate degrees from both the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and her alma mater, Oklahoma City University. Kristin is an inductee into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, as well as the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame.

As former Gleeks, Rachel and Ty look back at all the cringe-worthy moments from McKinley High's beloved show choir. They explain why all of the teachers should have been fired and they tackle the question of whether a Glee reboot would be received well in 2022. At the end, Ty challenges Rachel to remember which songs Glee did or did not cover.

This is 4x01 - "The New Rachel." The new season begins with old friends and new faces, and a whole lot of storylines, as Glee attempts a soft reset. Back in good old McKinley High, the Glee Club is both competing amongst themselves over who will become the new Rachel (instead of just being equal players) and holding auditions for new members. Over in New York, Rachel Berry clashes with her new dance teacher (guest star Kate Hudson) and meets a hunky upperclassman who may or may not ever go to class, Brody. Happy Friday Wonderlings!, Angela Bowen, here the host of Looking Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast. Today, i'm covering S5E6: Triangle which aired on November 6, 1991. In this episode With a new girlfriend, Wayne actually becomes nicer and more likable. However, his new girlfriend seems to be more interested in Kevin. One lucky girl finds herself in the middle of an Arnold Bros Sandwich. Poor Wayne gets shafted when his new girlfriend who likes em’ young finds a soul mate in Kevin. Yeah, there’s no way that would work out, breaking a guy’s heart just to turn around and date his younger brother. Not to mention she already met Jack and Norma and I can’t see this situation sitting well with them either. Sounds like a plot in soap opera and ends with Who’s the baby daddy on Maury. Maury: “We asked if you had made out with Wayne’s younger brother, you said no. The lie detector proved that was a lie. In this episode I also talk about One Tree Hill for those of you familiar with Season 1 when Keith, Dan Scott's older brother gets drunk and sleeps with Dan's wife Deb and Dan walks in on it. Luckily for Kevin and Wayne this doesn't happen for them. It could have if Wayne walked in on Sandy kissing Kevin though. I also bring up the 1993 movie Son in Law starring Pauly Shore and Carla Gugino (Sandy)in this episode. I bring up Lindsey Sloane who plays Alice who I only recognize as BIG RED from the movie Bring It On and I also bring up Why, Charlie Brown, Why. A Peanuts short about Linus having a girlfriend with cancer. There are stills on the IMDB of the girl without hair. It's a little unsettling for a kid's cartoon. Join me next week when I cover S5E7: Soccer which aired on November 20, 1991. In this episode after being cut from the football team, Kevin finds out that McKinley High has a soccer team. He signs up for the team but soon realizes that most of the kids on the team are nerdy and un-athletic and the coach is a legendary former football coach whose best days have passed him by. Have a great weekend!!

Wow if you are listening to this podcast, you could ALSO donate to Hurricane Maria relief at mariafund.org and/or hispanicfederation.org The day is finally here! Opening night of McKinley High's drastically insensitive production of West Side Story! And who better to talk about it than self-proclaimed "slut for musicals" Rob Tiemstra (@The_Timestar) who joins Raina (@itsrainaingmen) to give his expertise and exasperation with the Glee version. We also talk about sex and racism as two good kids would. Be sure to check out Rob's podcast Bros Before Shows! Be sure to follow us on twitter @glee_podcast

With enough hairspray to blaze through the ozone and heels so high they reach Corey Montheith’s nipples, Erica and Emily go to the prom, McKinley High style. An extended GleeKap has the ladies digging deep into Prom Queen, digging so deep in fact that Skype almost pulls a Carrie White on them all. Thankfully, the Goddess of Fun Fun, Think About Fun comes through to save the recording, allowing the gals to get their robot on on the dance floor that is the feedback frenzy of awesome. Join the awesome by sending your thoughts to gleekast@gmail.com and visit the afterprom party at palavr.com. It’s tastier than a bowl of lemon punch mix, prettier than a pair of electric blue sheer sleeves and more fun than an awkward crowning ceremony, it’s GleeKast!More important than any chintzy tiara, GleeKast closes out the prom with a wonderful musical treatment courtesy of our dear listener Rainicorn, aka Anna of London of the fine and fascinating blog, www.gaychristiangeek.blogspot.com. What did we do for love? Why, come back for the season premiere of Glee’s sophomore year of course! Erica reveals the sordid secrets of her Big Gay Summer, Emily ponders the importance of Hot Topic, Erica confesses her hatred for unestablished single name stars, and for whatever reason, Emily just keeps talking about Hot Topic. We also discuss breast implants, vasectomies, human pyramids, human centipedes, and a whole lot of other topics that somehow have maybe something to possibly do with Glee (sort of kinda sure). Advanced apologies for a likely setback in audio quality, as the first few episodes of the season will be recorded sans high-tech microphones and via Skype. This does have one benefit, namely the fact that we can finally record while naked (maybe), our alone bodies slathered in bacon grease (Erica) or Cheez Wiz (Emily). Remember to loiter in the new home of the GleeKast forums over at Palavr.com (we know there’s supposed to be an E, but between Erica and Emily, we simply ran out) and explore the super duper other podcasts and discussion boards blazing a hole through the Internet. We encourage you to introduce yourselves (so we can stalk you) and answer our question of the week. Send your emails to gleekast@gmail.com and your sacrificial offerings to the angry ghost of the late Matt Rutherford, who now haunts the halls of McKinley High and on weekends, the top left ab of Mike Chang.

Go ahead, hate us! We’ve seen the first 3 new episodes of GLEE’s spring run to regionals.  That’s right, New Directions finally meets Vocal Adrenaline and McKinley High will never be the same. We tried to respect the no spoiler rule and tip-toed our way around the first three new eps: “Hell-O”, “The Power of Madonna” and “Home.” We don’t reveal the song choices, who sings what, major plot points, etc. but if you really don’t want to know anything at all, you’ve been warned… It’s an all GLEE edition of the TV Talk Podcast, destination: cramazing.
