The boys are back once again this week with a little extra excitement in their voices. Josh and Dante jump back into the show this week, once again, with talking some college basketball. Dante has another team this week that he is putting on ALMOST fraud watch. The boys break down this team, some of the power 5 conferences and who they're excited to see face off in their respective conference championships. To cap off their college hoops talk this week, they name a few teams they believe will turn some heads over the next few days and who could make a run in the tournament beginning next week. Moving into the football talk this week, the boys dive into the first headline of the week being Justin Madubuike's MASSIVE contract extension with the Baltimore Ravens. The all-pro DT coming off his best year as a pro got broken off in a big way to remain in Baltimore for the next four years. Josh and Dante break down what this means for Madubuike, why the timing of the deal was so important, and how Eric DeCosta can approach the rest of free agency. After the Madubuike signing, the new league year began with the “legal tampering period” on Monday afternoon. The Ravens lost a number of players, including some key starters including Geno Stone and Patrick Queen, who went to division rivals. Josh and Dante break down the loss of players for the Ravens this week and how they'll fit in with their new teams. The Ravens also made a HUGE splash signing, finally getting their guy and adding Derrick Henry after many attempts over the years. The boys break down how they felt about the signing of Henry and ultimately how it will impact the team this year. Josh and Dante also take a look at some of the big signings of free agents around the league this week, and which teams have undeniably gotten better since Monday. Moving on from the NFL, the boys stop and take a second to admire the grand slam Jackson Holliday sent into orbit last week. They also put their latest plea into the universe for Mike Elias to have Jackson on the opening day roster. To wrap up the show this week, Josh and Dante introduce a new segment! The boys over the coming weeks will spend some time at the end of each show dropping some songs or albums they want to share with all of you. This week, Dante throws out a couple tracks he's been bumping in preparation for Miami Music Week, and Josh gives some Subtronics after seeing his show this past weekend, as well as some other albums and bands as well. Thank you all so very much for coming back each week and rocking with us. We love you! Cheers and happy St. Paddy's day to all of you!

Our expectations, both external and internal, have a huge influence on our experience of our reality. With mega conferences being formed more and more by the minute, the question becomes are we expecting too much of student-athletes? More importantly, where else do these expectations show up in our life? This quick hit deals with the reason for Athletic Programs jumping from conference to another and the real reasons why the are doing so. Yes, it's about money, not the money you all think about. The thirst more live Sports/content is feeding budgets of B1G time athletics. As we know sports are the true last reality TV. To see outcomes as some bet on games. For some it's the ties of our fandom. More than ever college administrators are using large media deals to make their Athletic Depts self reliant , but also 2-4 hr long commercials for their to recruit. Not to recruit Athletes, but regular student body and the brightest minds. Winning championships has been shown to lead to more student applications building your alumni base which can lead to more donations and more endowments money. School are not only to win on the field, but in the research world. To be ranked, just like their athletic teams. They are not only fighting to get in the B1G money deal media conference, also, the AAU. No, I'm not talking about basketball. I'm talking the Assoc. of American Universities. These are the top research schools in the nation. This also drives endowments and their incentives in the President of Universities contracts to obtain bonuses. By the way the endowments funds are control by Hedge fund managers. The whole of colleges has gone corporate.
