We’re back with another round of nonsense, and yes—Saudi Arabia literally rolled out a two-storey mobile Macca’s for Donald Trump. Only the best for the man with a $660 billion announcement! We also played a new game called Name Em, and let’s just say... it’s a terrible idea for a podcast. Glossys had us gagging over Kim K’s $10 million courtroom look and Demi Moore’s behind-the-scenes bikini demands. Plus, we give the Wednesday Wheel a whirl and dive into Spelling Bee!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

This was an excellent Saturday crossword -- with clue difficulty mostly ranging from scarily difficult to "you must be joking, Ms. Hoody". These sorts of puzzles make for a deeply satisfying solve (if you can), and no loss of face (if you cannot). Also, any crossword that manages to quietly work ICEPALACE, ICET, and SAMOVAR into the same grid clearly deserves some sort of praise, and here it is: a full 5 squares on the JAMCR scale. Bravo! Also in today's episode: our choice for JAMCOTWA, the Jean And Mike Crossword Of The Week Award. We kicked off the show with a sweet surprise — the Dutch breakfast classic 'Hagelslag.' Turns out, 750,000 buttered bread and chocolate sprinkle sandwiches are devoured daily in the Netherlands. Honestly, who needs avocado toast? Then, we unpacked the latest from Australian Idol before diving into the Glossys. Ariana Grande's already tipped for an Oscar nod in 2026 for Wicked: Part II, Chris Hemsworth is owning Byron Bay's 'Cyclone Swell,' and Take That got a shoutout at the Oscars for their track 'The Greatest Day.' Of course, Ricki-Lee went rogue about Meghan Markle's Netflix special With Love, Meghan — the bit where she insists on being called 'Sussex' by Mindy Kaling sent Ricki through the roof. And finally, things got heated with the Spelling Bee game — Joel reckons it's rigged, but we reckon it's just hilarious. What a ride!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

It's the season 8 premiere, can you even believe it? That's right, they let us get away with seven whole seasons so we decided to do another one! Speaking of doing another one, have you done today's Wordle? We all spent the holiday break commiserating with our families over the New York Times Games and how dumb the purple group in Connections is. Well this experience inspired us, so we're opening our season in kind. Without further ado, we ask the question, "Which NYT Game should become multiplayer?" Todd is ready to unpack some early-childhood trauma. Andrew is creating some middle-aged trauma. Matt's speaking in numbers and we're not quite sure what that means.
