Ethan Khoza is a player development coach in State College PA, he's not your typical PDC. He does things "against the grain" and steers away from the more traditional approach on-court training, but what separates him the most is his passion for and ability to communicate with his athletes and figure out what they need Ethan talks a lot about emotional intelligence and what exactly that means for both coaches and players, why it's so important to both possess and nurture emotional intelligence. Possessing extremely good emotional intelligence and being able to communicate extremely effectively alone will make you way better a lot of the coaches and trainers out thereYou can know all the X's & O's but ultimately if you aren't able to communicate it properly and effectively to your crowd in a manner that they'll interpret it and apply it to to the court then none of the knowledge and experience you possess really mattersCheck out Ethan on social and make sure to check out his podcast as well:IG - https://www.instagram.com/visiondrivenbasketball/YT - https://www.youtube.com/c/VisionDrivenBasketballPodcast - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-vision-driven-basketball-training-podcast/id1508830824

On March 3 1994, a major storm belted the eastern states, heavy rains fell along the east coast and heavy snow piled up in the interior. As much as 30” of snow buried parts of central PA. This intense storm resulted in the establishment of many seasonal snowfall records in the region. The snow was accompanied by frequent thunder and lightning in some locations. These thunder snows, acting much like downpours of rain in the summertime – gave downpours of snow that mounted up, in some places to 4-5 inches in a single hour. Along the East Coast, on the I-95 corridor, there was more than 2” of rain accompanied by wind gusts over 60 mph and urban street flooding and flooding along streams; 25 foot waves crashed on to Cape Hatteras, NC. A snow avalanche buried 5 cars under 20 feet of snow, trapping the occupants for 28 hours before rescue in the Pennsylvania Mountains of Clinton County. 28" of snow fell at State College PA; 24" at Lock Haven, PA. “Will it be a trick or a treat?” It's the most popular question in thousands of children's minds come Halloween season. But in the minds of State College, Pennsylvania police, and the family and friends of Korean girl Hyun-Jong Song, the question “What happened to Cindy Song?” has been eluding them since Halloween 2001. Cindy is that 21-year old Korean girl, a junior co-ed at the Pennsylvania State University. And for almost 2 decades, the answer to the question has always been, “She vanished.” As years pass and memories fade, the details of her vanishing on October 31, 2001 have become muddled. It drew national attention, but ultimately faded into a cold case. Thus, the Cindy Song disappearance remains one of the most notorious in central Pennsylvania.
In this episode, your host, Pioneer Territory Manager, Emily Allegar, takes listeners on a walking tour of Penn State Ag Progress Days. The event is held annually in State College, PA.

EP 36 - Welcome to summer and being in the GREEN! In order to escape the yellow we head to an area where things were just beginning to turn around. My co-host, Jen and I head up to State College for some dine-in eating, Trader Joe’s, ice cream, and light shopping for “inappropriate” grilling accessories. We discuss the day’s delights outdoors at my house as well as my new discission to become sober. Something a little different, rather than a Signature Drink we have a Signature Treat. It's called a Dole Whip and to make your own you will need: 1 bag of frozen pineapple I can of full fat coconut milk 2 TBSP of sugar or sugar substitute Ice cream maker (optional, but recommended) Whipped Cream (optional) Blend all ingredients in a food processor or blender until smooth. You may want to soften the frozen pineapple chunks just a bit. Pour into ice cream maker and process for about 5 minutes. You may opt out of using the ice cream maker, but your whip will be less smooth. Freeze any leftovers for future serving. Top with whipped cream or enjoy plain. State College, PA is a show that goes down in history as a fan favorite. Being the final show of the first leg of the 2003 US tour, the band decided to pull out all the stops to make this one of the longest shows in their history. 3 hours and 37 minutes later, the band made good on their promise. This is a set list where strength is less in numbers and more in... well, strengths. It's proof that going by the book and playing common songs in common spots is never a bad recipe for a Pearl Jam show. Within 36 songs lies 4 separate sets with an incredible encore 3 that lasted for about 45 minutes. Funny enough, it's the rare content that has its tough spots in this set. Songs like Mankind and Satan's Bed hadn't been played in some time, but both songs (which were played due to fan requests in encore 2) had a rough go of it that night, even if the band was out there having fun with them. They are memorable moments from this night, but will we give it a pass because of it? Patreon donor and friend of the podcast Patrick Boegel joins us for this show talking about his experience on that night. An artist and art teacher in New Jersey (for real), Nick is a die hard fan. On this episode we talk about coming online during the early 90's, growing to appreciate Load/Reload, narrowly missing the MSG S&M performance, a highlight of the 9 shows Nick has been to, the influence of Pushead on his work, how to submit for the individual show posters and, of course, the Metallica show in State College.
