Disappointing initially that none of the Workout routines were either Audio Described or had another way of finding out what actual exercises were being performed, I decided for now just to do my own exercises, and use the training and rest times in each Workout. As there is no actual exercises to do I the Treadmill or Bike Workouts, these worked as expected. If you use the Apple TV with the Apple Watch, your real time data comes up on the screen so you can monitor and see how others have gone with this particular workout. Each ear cup also contains the H1 chip and 10 core audio computational processor.     What they Sound Like:   Music is absolutely brilliant with individual instruments almost having their own space. Rich sound. Spacial audio sound is amazing with the music surrounding the listener. Not basie  at all, only when music calls for it. Excellent with Head Phone Accommodations that you can truly customise the sound. Lovely to listen to audio books or podcasts. Phone calls are clear, and callers report ease of listening. Video conferencing services such as Zoom worked just as well with audio quality. Noise reduction even better than that of the AirPods Pro, this goes the same for the transparency mode. VoiceOver is just as responsive with the AirPods Max as it is with the AirPods Pro. Hey Siri is very responsive.   Benefits: Extremely responsive with VoiceOver on iOS or Mac. Very comfortable to wear, even though weight is 380 grams. As reviewer is a voiceOver user, wearing the head set all day is not an issue at all. Telescoping arms allow the perfect position to be set, and take a little effort to adjust when is great as they then do not shorten or lengthen. Ear cups feel very comfortable over ears, and do not seem to cause sweating etc. When the AirPods Max are placed in to the Smart Case, magnets in the case put the head set in to a low power mode. Instant reconnection to an Apple device when placed back on the head. Just simply convenient to turn a dial or press a button. Easy to locate and use the Digital Crown (volume etc), and Noise Control buttons. Easy to locate lightning port for charging or plugging in the not supplied audio cable. There is a notch in the smart case to allow a lightning cable to be plugged in to the head set as well. The aluminium ear cups feel smooth and cool to the touch. Unlike some head phone cushions, these cushions have a whole magnetic housing which magnetically clips in to the ear cups. Works with Find My. Like with AirPods Pro, when playing media or dictating, AirPods Max does not turn this off when using Siri, which it does on Mac OS. When plugging head set in to a 20W UsBC fast charger, 1.5hours of battery is gained within 5 minutes. When plugged in to a standard iPhone charger (not a fast charger), from 0 to 95% is achieved in 2hrs. The aluminium used in the ear cups is the same in the iPod air or MacBook Pros, and is quite durable. The not supplied Lightning to 3.5MM audio jack cable is purely to connect the head set to older 3.5MM audio devices and offers no benefit besides the physical connection. Hey Siri and Announce Messages by Siri is also available.   Points to consider: Note - a few software issues, but the hardware is excellent, software can be improved upon. Supply own charger. Supply own audio cable. The 3.5MM audio cable takes its volume from the device, not the head set, maximum volume therefore on such devices such as the Victor Reader Stream, Victor Trek or the Envoy Connect are about half the volume that the AirPods can put out at maximum volume. Head set is not water proof. Smart case doesn’t offer that much protection especially if they are placed in a bag etc. How durable the mesh is at the top of the head set remains to be seen. Given the cost, strongly suggest Apple Care. I don’t review restaurants. I go to restaurants and make opinions on restaurants. I also write and the writing and the podcast work well together. Notable people: Merherwan Irani, Steve McHugh Podcasting versus writing: Do you pick out stuff from your podcast to put into your writing?: No, the interview allows me to get inspired and learn more about the chef. For example, I found out chef Steve McHugh had Leukemia from a couple minutes of interviewing with him and was able to get inspired by an article. Describe the Steps it took to get to where you are today: I’ve always been a writer and gravitated more towards food. When I was hired as a writer, I couldn’t get all the information I wanted. When I went freelance, I used the skills I was good at to create podcasts and long-form interviews Advice on freelancing: Reputation is the number one thing When I first started, I talked to my friends. My first 10 episodes were from my friends. I got better as I talked to my friends. As I got +90 episodes, I could go to a restaurant and ask “who reps them?” I can call the representatives and ask for the chef and I start to snowball based off of my guests Tips on making guests comfortable: Every podcast I listened to, I hope I speak less. I can only do two a day (I do these live). I don’t really know the nuance of the story. Everyone is different but we are used to our questioning as being a defensive mechanism. We’ve created an environment where we sincerely want to know why. The chef and culinary realm have a lot of profanity. My show is the one time we don’t need to clean it up. What is the most valuable thing you learned about podcasting: Podcasting is a new skill that made me stretch my comfort zone.  Advice on writing: don’t use drool-worthy or nom nom. The point of writing is to translate one sense to another sense. For example, translating taste to writing. Most of the time, relate to an experience or memory. Or describe the moment and environment and you can match it with the dish. FONA Flavor Course – Ancient Grain You can put connotation on descriptions. For example, icy can mean gritty like a slushy Umami – Sweet, Sour, Salty, Satisfaction Why does your food job rock?: I am so interested in the life of a chef Why do people like what they do base off of your interview on Southern Fork?: The need for approval. But also the compulsion of passion. The chef’s life is like being in an opera, golfing and a battle all at once. The best kitchens are completely silent. This is why there are more open kitchens.  What don’t you like about the front of the house in restaurants?: I want to feel comfortable when I eat. Service is super important. I don’t need bad service when plenty of restaurants have good service. Food trends: Done with Pork belly? A shift in service. The shift in service where the chef is giving you the dishes. It feels like you’re in somebody’s house. It heightens the experience I like off-menu item trends. For example, like a burger or soft serve ice cream or a surprise menu I like cured eggs shaved on salads, on top of fish dishes I like red wine: Mediterranean, Greek, Turkish. Wines that are getting on the list that are interesting and fun I like local/trash fish: Lion Fish, Tile Fish, Wahoo, Wreck Fish Tomorrow: Uni from Maine Adam’s pet peeve: eggs on top of things. He never was the head honcho. I ate his menu and I enjoyed him spreading his wings and I enjoyed it so much. Cured, Chef Steve McHugh’s restaurant in San Antonio, is a beautiful pale brick building sitting at the edge of bright green manicured lawn in the Pearl Brewery complex. Even at three on a recent afternoon when i chatted with the chef, it was hopping. That’s because it’s one of those places where you can linger for hours. The space feels good, the food is approachable and delectable, the bar is bright, and it’s a place to meet, a place to see and be seen. It basically has a killer vibe and Chef Steve McHugh is a big part of that! He has a clear vision of growing roots in a community, the roles chefs play, and how it’s important to have cheese curds somewhere on the menu at all times. The Wisconsin native has made San Antonio his home, and now he’s a finalist for the city’s first possible James Beard Best Chef: Southwest award.

It didn't take long for Mchugh to get picked up by the Besh Restaurant Group, where he excelled. Mchugh eventually relocated to San Antonio to open Luke, along side Besh Restaurant Group. Mchugh has overcame one of the most serious challenges life can throw at you; cancer. He has overcame! Today he is living his dream as the Chef/ Proprietor of Cured, located in Peal; San Antonios culinary center.
