Let's go Washington football team
Baltimore Ravens vs. Washington Football Team Pick Prediction 8/28/2021 by Tony T. Ravens at Washington—NFL free pick is Baltimore Ravens -3.5. Won't get in front of the Ravens in the preseason. They have won 19 straight preseason games covering 18 of those games. Tyler Huntley saw all the snaps last week in their 20-3 win against Carolina. Trace McSorley is dealing with a sore back and looking to be ready by Week 1. Ravens have played good defense in the preseason holding opponents to 277 yards per game with 3.6 per rush. Washington quarterbacks averaging 5.7 yards per pass attempt. Taylor Heinicke, Kyle Allen and Steven Montez and have not impressed in the preseason. Football Team defensive surrendering 145 yards rushing per game for 5.9 per attempt. Play Baltimore -3.5.
Cincinnati Bengals vs. Washington Football Team Pick Prediction 8/20/2021 by Tony T. Bengals at Washington—NFL free is Cincinnati Bengals +5.5. Prefer the quarterback rotation for the Bengals in this spot with Brandon Allen, Kyle Shurmur, Eric Dungey. Allen and Shurmur combined for 19 of 29 passing last week in their win at Tampa Bay. Washington quarterback rotation is Ryan Fitzpatrick, Taylor Heinicke, Kyle Allen, Steven Montez. Football Team surrendered 179 rushing yards and 7.2 yards per rush to New England in their loss last week. Offensively their quarterbacks combined for only 5.2 yards per pass attempt last week despite throwing the ball 47 times. Cincinnati defense last week in preseason gave good showing allowing 159 yards to the Buccaneers. Play Cincinnati +5.5.
11:38 - Washington Football Team: thoughts on Kyle Allen returning to fully practicing, Curtis Samuel being activated, Washington releasing three players (including Kelvin Harmon) and more 25:45 - Washington Football Team: deep dive on the Dustin Hopkins situation, including how he compares to the rest of the NFL on field goals over his six seasons with Washington and Ron Rivera's latest comments on Hopkins' struggles 37:22 - Washington Football Team: commentary on Ron Rivera on a number of Washington players in the preseason-opening loss at the New England Patriots, including Steven Montez, Sammis Reyes, Samuel Cosmi, Saahdiq Charles and Jamin Davis 56:52 - Nationals: react to Joe Ross potentially needing a second Tommy John surgery and analysis of the Nats getting swept in three games by the Atlanta Braves 01:20:14 - Wizards: examining two key items from Tommy Sheppard, including confirmation that the Wiz didn't really want to trade Russell Westbrook 01:28:11 - Orioles: a proper marveling at the O's getting demolished in a three-game sweep at the Boston Red Sox Learn more about your ad choices. In the third hour, Tyler and DMac react to last night's preseason football games, which featured a breakout performance from Steven Montez and the debut of Mac Jones. DenverFan.com's James Merilatt joins the show to defend his criticism of Jerry Jeudy, KJ Hamler and Melvin Gordon after their humorous press conference. Mt. Polumbus speaks on who should ultimately make decision about who starts at quarterback for the Broncos this season. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Washington Football Team vs. New England Patriots Pick Prediction 8/12/2021 by Tony T. Football Team at Patriots—NFL pick is New England Patriots +2. New England has a strong quarterback rotation for the preseason with Cam Newton, Mac Jones, Brian Hoyer and Jarret Stidham. New England did carry three quarterbacks last year, but they usually don't. That means Hoyer and Stidham could be auditioning for other teams. With only three preseason games Newton could see action along with Jones. Belichick rebuilt the offensive line and defense. WFT coming off a division championship has veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick under center. Taylor Heinicke, Kyle Allen and rookie Steven Montez will backup. Football team has failed to cover four straight in week one of the preseason. Patriots have won and covered six of their past eight preseason games with Football team losing and failing to cover in six of eight. Play New England +2.

Standig Room Only: A show about the Washington Football Team and D.C. sports
The Athletic's Ben Standig goes hyperlocal and hopefully helps everyone get a bit smarter with guests Dan Hellie and Irwin Kishner. After Ben opens the show with some depth chart talk including a possible Taysom Hill role for Steven Montez, he talks about the latest reporting on Washington Football Team owner Dan Snyder set to buy out his minority partners and what this means for future control of the franchise (8:52). Then former NBC4 and NFL Network anchor Dan Hellie stops by to discuss the local sports media scene then and now, league-wide perception of Ron Rivera, Washington's free agency moves, and a Wizards reality check. Plus Dan drops an unreal live TV moment involving Dexter Manley (35:30)
In our week 10 preview we discuss how we expect Alex Smith to perform and what our "wins" of the week will be. We also discuss Dwayne Haskins and whether or not we'll see Steven Montez start a game this season.
This Washington Football Talk is gonna be quite informative and enjoyable for ya. To start, you'll get JP Finlay's 1-on-1 with Morgan Moses, where the O-lineman discusses how the franchise's vibe has changed under Ron Rivera and what it's like inhabiting Trent Williams' locker. Then, JP, Mitch Tischler and Pete Hailey catch up with Chris Simms, who has lots of thoughts on Dwayne Haskins as well as one QB prospect that he's already crazy about. Once those finish, you'll get the trio's live pod from the Ourisman dealership in Alexandria, where they're joined by new friend Martha, who's an encyclopedia of Burgundy and Gold knowledge. In that final piece of the show, the typical preview segments take place ahead of the Lions matchup, as well as some chatter about Steven Montez. If you like podcasts where Mitch tells a funny tale about an old English teacher and one beloved listener reveals a dream he had involving Mitch and JP, then this is the episode for you. And go order Famous Dave's, because we love them.

It is a big week here at The Scho Show, as Mark Schofield heads south for his fifth trip to the Senior Bowl. To kick off the week Mark breaks down the six quarterbacks who will be in attendence down at the big event. First up are two passers likely to hear their names called in the first round of the draft, Justin Herbert from Oregon and Jordan Love from Utah State. If you like arm talent, you'll like these two. The next two quarterbacks are probably Day Two prospects, but it includes one QB Mark is very excited to see. First is Anthony Gordon, a prospect from Washington State that has really caught Mark's attention this draft cycle. Then Oklahoma's Jalen Hurts, who certainly has a future in the NFL. The final two passers are probably more Day Three developmental types, but with a solid showing in Mobile both Shea Patterson and Steven Montez could secure a draft spot. In the latest episode of the Sun Devil Source Report Podcast, publisher Chris Karpman and host Rob Werner are joined by staff reporters Jack Harris and Max Madden as they analyze Arizona State's 28-21 loss at Pac-12 South foe Colorado, which was then-ranked No. 21. In evaluating the Sun Devils' (3-3, 1-2 Pac-12) first Pac-12 South loss of the season, they begin the show by revisiting ASU's critical fourth-and-goal play at the 3-yard-line early in the fourth quarter with ASU trailing the Buffaloes 28-21. The Sun Devils ran a fade to sophomore wideout Curtis Hodges, who couldn't haul in the touchdown. Was it the right play call there? How did the sequence of plays leading up to it impact what was called and ran? ASU and sophomore tailback Eno Benjamin seemed to have the running game working in full effect in the first half as Benjamin had 20 carries for 96 and two touchdowns. How did the offensive line and the play calling enable this? In the second half, Benjamin had eight times for just 24 yards. What changed for the Sun Devils' rushing attack and how did this contribute to ASU scoring just seven points while holding the ball for just over ten minutes in the second half? Senior quarterback Manny Wilkins was only sacked twice but both were very meaningful plays, one in the red zone with ASU trying to tie the game down 28-21 and another on ASU's last offensive drive of the game. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound senior from Novato, California, completed 12-of-22 passes for 222 yards and one touchdown against the Buffaloes, with long completions of 72, 40, and 30 yards on the day. How did Wilkins perform overall at Folsom Field? Colorado's sophomore wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. had quite the game with all four of the Buffaloes' touchdowns, including 13 receptions for 127 yards to go along with five carries for 13 yards. Shenault had two touchdowns as a receiver and two out of direct snaps in a Wildcat formation, and now leads the Pac-12 with 10 touchdowns on the season. Conversely, junior wide receiver N'Keal Harry, who suffered an apparent right leg injury in the third quarter on a punt return, hauled in three receptions for 63 yards and had one rush for two yards. How did the usages of both standout players differ? How much was Harry involved in ASU's game plan? The Sun Devils' defense didn't generate a sack and only forced five TFL's for a combined six yards in the losing effort. Junior quarterback Steven Montez had a nice game leading Colorado to victory, completing 23-of-33 passes for 328 yards and two touchdowns. Why couldn't ASU's defensive line get to Montez? The crew provide analysis on how Colorado's offensive line was more physical at the point of attack than ASU's front six. How did the Sun Devils' secondary fair against Montez, specifically sophomore cornerbacks Chase Lucas and Kobe Williams? Karpman further breaks down the situation involving senior linebacker Koron Crump who has decided to leave the ASU program, with hopes of regaining his explosiveness that he lost with his torn ACL. Crump is now working toward getting fully ready to take part in ASU's Pro Day. They review how the Pac-12 did in Week 6 to conclude this edition of the podcast.
