Which players have some regression to the mean coming? This could mean more or fewer touchdowns, a much lower yards per carry or more receiving yards. First, we have a lot of news and notes (4:40) coming out of OTAs including some updates on quarterback competitions. Then we'll kick off our regression discussion by talking about the Lions (10:00) who led the NFL in scoring in 2024. Are basically all Lions players being drafted too early, or are we fine with their ADPs? ... Touchdown regression is coming for Baker Mayfield (19:05) and James Cook (21:25), but are they still good picks at their price? We also talk about Terry McLaurin and Tee Higgins (29:40) and a trio of tight ends (38:40) who could see much different TD totals in 2025 ... We've talked about TDs, now let's talk about yardage regression (52:10). Derrick Henry and Saquon Barkley top the list ... Passing touchdowns are going to influence fantasy football scoring quite a bit, and, unfortunately, they can be relatively volatile year-over-year. On Episode 993, JJ talks through just how unpredictable touchdowns are, and he explains whether you should avoid quarterbacks coming off of seasons with really high touchdown rates. Hey there, weather warriors! Dustin Breeze here, and let me tell you, we've got a Memorial Day forecast that's gonna make you want to drop everything and soak up some sunshine! I'm bringing the heat - meteorologically speaking, of course!Let's break down this New York City weather playbook. Today's looking like a total touchdown of a day - mostly sunny with temperatures hitting a crisp 69 degrees. That northwest wind's gonna be cruising around 5 miles per hour, which is basically a gentle breeze doing a victory lap across the city. Now, it's time for my Weather Playbook segment! Today, we're talking about wind dynamics. Think of wind like a football play - it's all about direction, speed, and how it moves across the field. Just like I used to read defensive formations, meteorologists read wind patterns. Today's northwest wind is basically executing a perfect screen pass across New York City!Tonight, we're looking at partly cloudy skies with temperatures dipping to a comfortable 58 degrees. Light and variable winds - which means the wind's basically doing some casual stretching between plays.Three-Day Forecast Blitz:Tuesday: Partly sunny, 70 degreesWednesday: 40 percent chance of afternoon showers, maxing out at 62 degreesThursday: Potential scattered showers, temperatures climbing to 68 degreesAnd hey, speaking of wild weather, we might see some scattered showers mid-week that'll make the sky look like it's doing a touchdown dance! It's gonna be WIIIIILD out there, folks!Don't forget to subscribe to our podcast! West winds will still be in play, hanging around 10 to 13 miles per hour. Now, let's talk about our Weather Playbook segment! Today, we're breaking down the concept of "isolated showers" - it's like having a few unexpected blitz plays in your weather game. These are scattered precipitation events that don't cover the entire field, just popping up here and there. Imagine a quarterback throwing some surprise passes - that's what these showers are doing!Three-day forecast coming at you like a perfectly executed play:Sunday: Mostly sunny, high near 67 degrees. Hey weather warriors! Dustin Breeze here, coming at you with a forecast that's gonna be more exciting than a fourth-quarter touchdown! Today in New York City, we've got a meteorological matchup that'll keep you on your toes.Alright, folks, let's break down today's weather playbook! We're looking at a mostly cloudy day with a high near 61 degrees Fahrenheit. And hey, there's a 30 percent chance of showers after 2 pm - talk about a plot twist! The wind's gonna start light and variable, then pivot west at 5 to 10 miles per hour. I like to call this the weather equivalent of a strategic play change!Speaking of plays, let me hit you with our Weather Playbook segment! Today, we're talking about something called wind shear. Think of it like a defensive line in football - it's when wind speeds or directions change dramatically with height. Just like a quarterback reading the field, meteorologists read these wind patterns to predict everything from thunderstorms to tropical systems. Boom! Weather science, touchdown! Now for our three-day forecast - and I'm calling these plays like a pro:First Down - Saturday: Mostly sunny, high near 62 degrees Fahrenheit. West wind 11 to 13 miles per hour, with a 20 percent chance of showers after 10 am. It's like a weather quarterback keeping the defense guessing!Second Down - Sunday: Mostly sunny, high near 65 degrees Fahrenheit. West wind around 11 miles per hour. Clear skies, clear path!Third Down - Memorial Day: Mostly sunny, high near 70 degrees Fahrenheit. This is the kind of forecast that makes you want to spike the football! And a bonus weather joke for you - why did the cloud break up with the wind? Because their relationship was too turbulent! Immer wieder Solingen.
Luke had a mini-showdown on a recent TV shoot that almost required him to wear a camera on his head. Plus, he's all fired-up about a recent obit that seems disingenuous. And Andrew got a new phone, so he's in a weird place right now.
Jeff Blair and Kevin Barker break down the Blue Jays' 14-0 win over the Padres to win the series in Toronto! They take your calls and texts, and get right to the offensive outburst - even if you can't expect 14 runs every night, what about this explosion is sustainable? They also get into home runs from Nathan Lukes and Daulton Varsho, the left hip inflammation for Anthony Santander that had him removed late in this game, and Kevin Gausman's seven innings of scoreless ball. That northeast wind is gonna be cranking at 16 to 22 miles per hour - it's like Mother Nature is running a full-court press of precipitation!Let's dive into our Weather Playbook segment! Today, we're breaking down the concept of wind chill. Think of wind chill like a defensive coordinator - it makes things feel colder than they actually are. When wind moves across your skin, it steals heat faster than a wide receiver stealing yards. So even if the thermometer says 40 degrees, with strong winds, it can feel way colder! Now for our three-day forecast - our game plan, if you will:Friday: Partly cloudy with a high near 58 degrees. Chance of showers after 2 pm - like a late game surprise play!Saturday: Mostly sunny with a high near 61 degrees. NASA recently spotted something strange on Mars—a nearly perfect square-shaped formation on the planet's surface! At first glance, it looks like something artificial, sparking wild theories about aliens and ancient civilizations. But scientists believe it's actually a natural geological formation, likely caused by cracks, erosion, or volcanic activity. Nature sometimes creates surprisingly geometric shapes, just like hexagonal basalt columns on Earth. While it's not proof of Martian life, it's still an exciting discovery that makes us wonder what else is hiding on the Red Planet. Who knows? Maybe one day, we'll find something even more mysterious! Precipitation happens faster than a quarterback sneak!Three-day forecast, football style:Monday: Heavy rain play - 80% precipitation chanceTuesday: Shower blitz continuing - 80% chanceWednesday: Partly sunny defensive formation - 30% shower chanceAnd hey, by the weekend, we're looking at mostly sunny skies with temperatures climbing to 70 degrees. "What's up, weather warriors! Dustin Breeze here, and boy do I have a forecast that's gonna knock your socks off! We're talking about a weekend in New York City that's more unpredictable than a fourth-quarter Hail Mary pass!Let's break down this weather playbook. Overnight, we've got a cheeky 20 percent chance of showers - think of it like a light defensive drizzle. Temperatures are gonna hold steady around 67 degrees Fahrenheit with a southeast wind cruising at about 6 miles per hour. Now, Saturday's looking like a real weather blitz! Between 2 PM and 5 PM, we've got a chance of showers and thunderstorms - I'm talking potential lightning strikes that'll make your hair stand up faster than a quarterback's pre-game adrenaline! Temperatures will climb to a warm 82 degrees Fahrenheit with winds potentially gusting up to 26 miles per hour. Touchdown, precipitation!Weather Playbook Time! Today, I'm gonna talk about something called 'precipitation probability'. It's basically the meteorological equivalent of a game strategy - how likely are we to see rain? When we say there's a 60 percent chance of precipitation, it means if we played this scenario 10 times, it would rain about 6 of those times. Boom! Weather science, baby! Our three-day forecast is looking like a classic New York weather mix play:Saturday: Showery with thunderstorm potentialSunday: Cloudy with chance of showersMonday: More showers, especially before 2 PMAnd as always, it's gonna be WIIIIILD out there, folks! Hey weather warriors! Dustin Breeze here, and boy do we have some wild atmospheric action brewing in the Big Apple! Let me kick things off with our current playbook. Overnight, we've got a 40 percent chance of showers rolling through, with temperatures holding steady around 61 degrees Fahrenheit. Think of it like a defensive huddle with some light precipitation action. Now, for our Weather Playbook segment - today we're talking about precipitation probability. Think of it like football odds. Just like a quarterback reading the defense, meteorologists read atmospheric conditions to predict the likelihood of rain. When we say 40 percent chance, it means there's a decent shot of moisture hitting the field - or in this case, the streets of New York City!Speaking of moisture, let's break down our three-day forecast like a championship game strategy:First Down - Friday: Partly sunny with a high near 77 degrees Fahrenheit. Chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 pm. Winds southwest at 6 to 11 miles per hour. Probability of precipitation? About 30 percent - not quite a guaranteed touchdown, but definitely keep an eye on those clouds!Second Down - Saturday: Higher chance of weather drama! Partly sunny with a high near 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Showers and thunderstorms likely after 2 pm. South winds 6 to 14 miles per hour. Precipitation chance jumps to 60 percent - this is looking like a full-contact weather day!Third Down - Sunday: Mostly cloudy with a high near 69 degrees Fahrenheit. Chance of showers at 60 percent, with potential thunderstorm action after 2 pm.And now, our unusual weather watch: Keep an eye out for potential localized thunderstorm activity that might bring some unexpected rainfall amounts! It's gonna be WIIIIILD out there, folks! What happens when your entire identity and self-worth are wrapped up in athletic performance, and suddenly that's taken away? Wesley Tucker, an offensive lineman at Baylor University, lived this reality when a devastating injury sidelined him just as he was beginning to rebuild his relationship with God.Growing up with sporadic church attendance, Wes had basic knowledge of Christianity but lacked genuine faith. By high school, football had become his god – dictating his sense of value based on performance. "I had a good game, I loved myself. I had a bad game, I hated myself," he recalls. Though he accepted Christ around age 15 after a powerful youth camp experience, that commitment faded as athletic achievement again took center stage.Arriving at Baylor as a freshman, Wes faced the jarring transition from high school star to bottom of the depth chart. Searching for validation, he made choices that pulled him further from faith. But God wasn't finished with him. Through Baylor's team Bible study, Wes gradually reconnected with his faith. Then came the defining moment – a catastrophic knee injury that ended his season. Lying on the field in excruciating pain, something shifted: "Okay God, it's yours. You want my attention? You have it."What followed was remarkable. Instead of despair, Wes found peace. The injury that stripped away his athletic identity became the catalyst for complete surrender. On December 17, 2024, surrounded by teammates, Wes was baptized – making "an outward profession of an inward transformation." Today, former drinking buddies attend church with him, inspired by his journey.Have you tied your identity to something as fragile as performance or achievement? Listen to Wes's powerful testimony of finding purpose beyond the field and discovering that no one is ever too far gone for transformation.Helpful links:One80, Contact UsBaylor UniversityBaylor Sports MinistryBaylor Sports Ministry DiscipleshipOhio State Football Team AwakeningESPN discusses football players faith being lived outAustin Football Player interrupts press conference to give glory to GodLet us know what you thought of the show!Follow One80 on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or our website.Never miss a One80. Monday was an ugly one in Navy Yard as the Mets routed the Nats 19-5 to split the series. Trevor Williams allowed five runs in just over five innings of work, but the bullpen really imploded in the loss. The 'pen then combined to give up 14 runs in less than four innings on the mound. Cole Henry especially had a rough afternoon, as New York plated five runs off of him in the top of the 7th.(13:30) The offense only scored in the bottom of the 8th in this one. Among the scoring was James Wood's 9th homer of the season, putting him just one back of the MLB lead. Nathaniel Lowe also went deep and this leads to a discussion about the trade that brought him over to Washington this offseason.(22:45) Al & Tim look at the recent emergence of MASN+, the new direct to consumer streaming option of Nationals & Orioles baseball. What does this mean for the team's broadcast rights long terms?

Send us a textA new era dawns for the Jacksonville Jaguars as we dive deep into the team's first draft under GM James Gladstone. After years of questionable draft strategies, there's a palpable excitement surrounding how the former Rams executive might approach building around Trevor Lawrence and transforming this roster. Our comprehensive mock draft reveals fascinating possibilities, from trading back to accumulate picks while still landing Ohio State's Emeka Egbuka as the perfect complement to Brian Thomas Jr., to the potential windfall of Abdul Carter falling to pick #5. We examine how Gladstone's Rams background might influence draft philosophy, particularly the emphasis on winning cultures and prestigious programs. The draft board falls surprisingly well for Jacksonville's needs across both mock scenarios. We identify crucial defensive backs who could stabilize a struggling secondary, interior defensive linemen who bring the violence needed against divisional running games, and offensive weapons that perfectly fit Liam Cohen's offensive vision. Join us as we break down picks round-by-round and imagine a draft that could finally deliver the supporting cast Trevor Lawrence deserves while building a defense that transforms Jacksonville into true AFC South contenders. Let us know your thoughts on our selections and who you hope the Jaguars target when the draft begins!Touchdown Jaguars Linktree James Johnson and Phil Smith bring you the best and most up to date Jacksonville Jaguars news. "Touchdown Jaguars!" is a tribute to the prospective ownership group "Touchdown Jacksonville!" In 1991, the NFL announced plans to add two expansion teams and "Touchdown Jacksonville!" announced its bid for a team, and Jacksonville was ultimately chosen as one of five finalists. In November 1993, the NFL owners voted 26–2 in favor of awarding the 30th franchise to Jacksonville. James and Phil have been fans of the franchise ever since and have had the honor (and sometimes dishonor) of covering the team professionally since 2017. The rest as they say, is history.

In July 1951, Communist and UN representatives began conducting peace talks. But the talks went nowhere, and the Communists broke them off on August 22. Meanwhile, throughout late 1951 and 1952, both sides worked to strengthen their defensive lines. The war changed from a war of movement to a mostly static, World War I style conflict. Still, the UN launched several relatively minor offensives during this time, including Operations Commando, Touchdown, Showdown, Pimlico, and many others.
