This week on End Credits, we're back! After taking our annual summer vacation! We're refreshed and reinvested just in time for the fall movie season, but since we're not there yet we will have to settle for a summer release. This week, we're reviewing the new sci-fi comedy mystery on Netflix, The Cloned Tyrone, and on the occasion of his 25th birthday, we're re-visiting Blade. This Wednesday, August 30, at 3 pm, Adam A. Donaldson and Candice Lepage will discuss: Blade of Glory. In August 1998, New Line Cinema released an action movie based on a Marvel Comics character that almost no one outside of regular shoppers at the comic book store had ever heard of. Not only did Blade become a success in it's own right, but it established a new tone and style for comic book-based movies, a refreshingly serious one. Now, 25 years later, we will look back at Blade and how the Daywalker might have changed things forever. REVIEW: They Cloned Tyrone (2023). It's just another day in the Glen. Fontaine goes about his day like any other drug dealer, shaking down late payments and (literally) running over the competition, but then something weird happens... Where the story goes from there might be too good to spoil, so let's just say that it involves secret labs, government conspiracies, systemic racism, and lots and lots of clones! John Boyega, Teyonah Parris, and Jamie Foxx are caught in a trap, they can't walk out, but is it too much for us, or is it just right? End Credits is on CFRU 93.3 fm and cfru.ca Wednesday at 3 pm.

We speak to Nigeria right-back Tyronne Ebuehi, who committed to play for the Super Eagles rather than the Netherlands, and made it to Nigeria's World Cup squad. We ask how important is this factor of national teams getting players of mixed parentage to choose their country, and if players with mixed parentage are only choosing to play for African nations as a last resort.

Every guest of The Cinephiliacs has had their chance in the hot seat to be questioned by Peter on a myriad of topics, but never the other way around. In this very special 100th episode, it is the guests who have control of the mic. Friend of the show Keith Uhlich plays host for an episode to ask Peter about his first cinematic memory, how the podcast got started, and why he turned to film history. Along the way, many other former friends call in to ask their own questions about his favorite theaters, the films he just doesn't understand, and the lessons he's learned through the course of the show. Finally, Peter finally chooses the film and goes with John Ford's enigmatic biopic The Long Gray Line, a story of the military and America in a way that neither Keith nor Peter can wrap their heads entirely around, but find themselves in tears at the end nonetheless. Is it shallow patriotism, or is Ford crafting the most mysterious anti-war film ever made? 0:00-4:27 Opening5:12-1:38:44 Deep Focus — Peter Labuza1:39:24-1:43:24 Sponsorship Section1:44:44-2:18:11 Double Exposure — The Long Gray Line (John Ford)2:18:56-2:24:10 Final Questions / Thanks 2:24:12-2:25:54 Close

It was just a modest home in a poor part of London, but a previous resident didn't seem ready to leave it. Each and every day a little old woman would wander into Tyronne's kitchen and talk to his mother. The spirit seemed fairly harmless - though Tyronne's parents worried when the old lady fixated on their two-year-old daughter in her cot. However, when the family finally sold the property stories reached Tyronne that the ghostly former inhabitant was making life uncomfortable for any immigrants taking up residence. Had the ghost really taken her prejudices with her into the afterlife?
