It's a call to embrace positive thinking, self-reflection, and  reminding you that your angels support your spiritual path and manifestation of your dreams.  Today we are turning inward to connect with your inner glow.  In yoga philosophy and ayurveda, tejas is the sanskrit term for your inner radiance, brilliance, or spiritual fire. tejas is the subtle glow of clarity, intuition, and vitality.     DAY TWENTY-SIX April Mindful Minutes challenge:YOGA NIDRA FOR DEEP SLEEP WITH AFFIRMATIONS (26 minutes)Welcome to Spiritually Fit Yoga!  This is Amelia Andaleon are we are on Day 26 of our April Mindful Minute challenge!  How were the last three days of your meditations?  I know some of you mentioned the longer silent parts are a bit challenging AND that you dropped into deep relaxation and insight.  Congratulations! Consistency is key, to condition your muscle of mindfulness.    And, if you arrived here for the first time , welcome!  Feel free to begin this meditation challenge with Episode 216 or join in for this 26 minute meditation!  Today's episode is intended to guide you into a deep sleep with affirmations. This is a little reward after working so hard in this meditation challenge! Let me put you to sleep !  This is a yoga nidra with affirmations to feel safe, calm, loved, peaceful, and grateful. Practice this laying down on a comfortable foundation, in your bed, and make yourself as comfortable as possible.  You will be invited to repeat affirmations as the body relaxes and mind becomes calm.  This track ends in silence allowing you to drift into a deep sleep.“Deep sleep is a sacred moment.”CHECK-IN: Before and after each practice check in and rate your stress level from 0 - 5.  Note if the number changed after your meditation.0 = low5 = highDid this meditation put you to sleep?     DAY TWENTY-THREE April Mindful Minutes challenge:SETTLE INTO STILLNESS (23 minutes)Congratulations! You're in the final week of the April Mindful Minutes challenge!  It's time to level-up and experience longer periods of silence to truly practice cultivating a meditative state of mind.  I started you with baby steps with ONE MINUTE on Day One, leading you in “high guidance” mindfulness sessions. The meditations slowly got longer with “medium guidance” where I slowly lengthened the periods of silent meditation.  Now this week I am introducing TWO 10-minute stretches of silence with a brief intermission. You will hear the sound of bells, my voice, then I'll guide you back into the second 10-minutes of silent meditation.     DAY TWENTY-ONE April Mindful Minutes challenge:BODY SCAN FOR SLEEPIn today's episode is another meditation for sleep, with a longer body scan than in yesterday's yoga nidra.  Sleep is elusive for many.  Can't have too many meditations to rest and sleep, right?BODY SCAN SETUPLay downCreate this time and space to be undisturbed or uninterrupted.Make your room as dark and quiet as possibleIf you are listening to this for a nap, consider setting an alarm because this meditation ends in silence.  CHECK-IN: Before and after each practice I will invite you to check in and rate your stress level from 0 - 5.  Note if the number changed after your meditation.0 = low5 = highLet me know if this meditation put you to sleep!⁠⁠Follow along daily for 30 days to create a meditation habit. ⁠⁠⁠⁠ Start anytime! To experience the cumulative benefits, practice daily, ideally at the same time every day. As each meditation gets longer, you can choose to follow the daily meditation or repeat a previous meditation. Choose what helps you best stick to a daily practice. If a one minute mindfulness practice feels like all you can do right now, then repeat the day one meditation for 30 days in a row.     DAY TWENTY April Mindful Minutes challenge:YOGA NIDRA FOR SLEEPIn today's episode I'll guide you into a Yoga Nidra state of mind, which is yogic sleep.  The intention of this type of meditation is for your body to be as still as possible, lying down comfortably, and mind awake and aware, listening to a body scan and pauses to repeat your affirmation.  AND, you may choose to listen to this meditation before a nap or a good night's sleep.  YOGA NIDRA SETUPLay downCreate this time and space to be undisturbed or uninterrupted to allow the mind to enter the Yoga Nidra state of mind (eg. theta or delta brain waves)Make your room as dark and quiet as possibleIf you are not practicing this in bed to go to sleep for the night, consider setting an alarm because this meditation ends in silence.  CHECK-IN: Before and after each practice I will invite you to check in and rate your stress level from 0 - 5.  Note if the number changed after your meditation.0 = low5 = highEnjoy!
