There are many Minor Chakras in addition to the main 7 chakras that you may already know. This subtle energy centre of the Vagus Nerve, or Alta Major, Chakra rests at the base of the skull, where the spine meets the head. It is a sacred gateway between the physical body and the higher realms—a mystical threshold where intuition, insight, and divine guidance flow into form. In this meditation we begin to connect with this powerful energy that allows us access to deeper knowing, and deeper connection with our Subtle Body.Much loveRosanne To subscribe to the podcast and gain access to longer, deeper meditations and much more please visithttps://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rosanne92/subscribe Website - https://chakra-way.com/Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/yogawithrosanne/TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@thechakrawayFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/chakrawayyoga/YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@thechakraway9141/videos
Today's meditation is a little different to my normal ones. Today is a storytime meditation. We are going to gently explore our Subtle Body. I want to introduce to you the layers that lie within the Subtle Body and the best way I know to do this, is to illustrate it with a story… Within this episode I am launching my new course "Connect with Your Subtle Body" which is now available on my website. Understanding your Subtle Body, using the Chakras is a vast, beautiful map—one that can guide you to deeper alignment, to clarity, to a connection with something greater than yourself. If this resonates, if you feel the call to explore, I invite you to join me on a deeper journey.Much loveRosanne xxhttps://chakra-way.com/shop
In this transformative episode of the Finding Harmony Podcast, hosts Harmony Slater and Russell Case are joined by legendary yoga teacher and author, Tias Little. With decades of experience and a deep understanding of the spiritual path, Tias shares his journey, beginning with his introduction to yoga by his mother in the 1970s. Raised in a family immersed in comparative religion, Tias integrates the psycho-spiritual aspects of yoga into his practice and teaching, blending Buddhist psychology and the ancient wisdom of asana. Listeners will be captivated as Tias delves into the mysterious forces of prana, the subtle body, and how yoga is so much more than physical postures. He explains how breath, meditation, and movement align to release deep-seated stress and tension in the body, leading to greater awareness and connection to the self. Tias also invites listeners to explore the inner asana—what happens at a deeper level during practice, beyond the forms. Tias shares personal insights into the progression of yoga from physical rigor to inner stillness, offering wisdom on how practitioners can refine their sensitivity and explore the subtle rhythms of life. This episode also highlights Tias's upcoming Yoga of the Subtle Body training, which provides a unique opportunity to study with a master teacher and deepen your connection to the subtler aspects of yoga. Key Takeaways: The importance of prana and subtle body awareness in yoga Integrating meditative states into physical asana practice The progression from athletic postures to subtle, internal work How breath and movement connect us to life's rhythms The significance of slowing down and refining sensitivity in practice About Tias Little: Tias Little is a renowned yoga teacher and the author of Yoga of the Subtle Body. He has been teaching and practicing for over 30 years, blending Eastern philosophies with his deep understanding of the human body and subtle anatomy. Tias has studied with luminaries such as Robert Thurman and Swami Satchidananda, and his teachings integrate both the physical and meditative aspects of yoga. His work has inspired thousands of practitioners to explore the deeper dimensions of their practice. Tias teaches through his Santa Fe-based Prajna Yoga and offers online courses, including the Yoga of the Subtle Body training. This week's episode is a meditation practice in which we focus on fully feeling all the subtle sensations in our body, from the pelvic floor to the crown of the head. Beginning from a place of grounded awareness in the body, we are invited to explore the physical and energetic realms of our being. The practice gradually moves through our energy centers emphasizing direct experience over visualization, with the aim to be fully present with emotions and their associated sensations. This 40-minute meditation is divided into three stages. If you have 18 minutes, you can complete the first part (01:20 - 19:17). For 24 minutes, continue through the second part (01:20 - 25:20). With 40 minutes, you can experience the entire meditation.Discover a treasure trove of guided meditations, teachings, and courses at tantrailluminated.org. Hosted on Acast. In this meditation we examine the Gunas. These are the energetic forces of the Universe and all that is within it. The word Guna means strand or string but also means quality. When these strands of energy and their qualities weave together we can see that they are present in all things - within us, within objects, nature, situations, attitudes... Understanding the Gunas gives us another layer of understanding of our energetic body, our Subtle Body. The three Gunas are Tamas (inertia), Rajas (activity) and Sattva (consciousness). When we braid these together we have a balanced life but sometimes one is more dominant than the others. Being able to identify when we are out of balance can bring awareness to our energetic body and help us live a more harmonious life. Much love Rosanne xx

This week's episode is Joanne's response to a request – to talk about Geometry and what it means in understanding the body. It's a fascinating exploration. Joanne's response includes a reading from her book Yoga Fascia Anatomy and Movement. She talks about how important Geometry is to our form – and how the ancient wisdom behind Yoga and the Sanskrit language (among other languages) is much incredibly sophisticated. It is really an invitation to appreciate how complex and brilliant the body is - literally and symbolically. We hear how, in the East (where the being and the body were not separated and segregated from each other) such a unified system incorporates sound, and the geometry that makes sense of our nature...Podcast produced and edited by Megan Bay DormanSIGN UP TO THE JOANNE AVISON NEWSLETTER Simply scroll down to ‘Join Our Collective' and pop in your details. For the 39th episode of the Integral Stage Authors Series, Layman cozies up in a yurt with Simon Cox to talk about his recent book, The Subtle Body: A Genealogy. Simon tells Layman about his history studying martial arts, including six years under a kung fu master on Wudang Mountain in China, and the path that led him to a deep, graduate-level comparative exploration of conceptions of the subtle body in Taoist and Tibetan Buddhist / Bon traditions. What are the similarities and differences between Eastern models of the subtle body and those we have inherited from the Neo-Platonists? How have these models been conflated in past scholarship? What did Crowley bring to the subject? What are the practical and onto-epistemological implications of a deep understanding of subtle body tradition and practice? What are some promising paths of future research? What does this tradition have to contribute to the rising interest in neo-animism in our time, or even the strange stories about interdimensional beings now circulating in the halls of Congress following the recent UAP hearings? In this episode, Noa discusses the effects of smoking tobacco and marijuana on human health, focusing on its impact on our chakras or life energy centers. We all know that smoking could cause asthma-like symptoms, hyperactivity in the immune system, but did you also know that nicotine's effect on the central nervous system contributes to addiction and creates blockages in the lungs that prevent the body from inhaling necessary life force? Nicotine Addiction and Chocolate SolutionNicotine is an addictive drug, partly due to the adrenaline rush that comes from smoking. The anticipation of smoking can cause the adrenaline to rush through the body, which can lead to an addiction to cigarettes. The adrenaline can also lead to eating disorders and weight gain. Using high-quality chocolate as a way to reduce the craving for cigarettes can help. Tune in to the full episode as Noa shares some tricks and tips. Menopause is the pinnacle transition for women. Society looks at this time as “the end” and it holds negative, self destructive images. Images of the dried up, wrinkled old women with nothing left to give. The cultural, and medical messaging is focused on how to “fix” it, mask it or prescribe it away. But menopause and the changes that come with it isn't a disease. It doesn't need to be fixed. You can't fix aging. Everyone does it every single day. This is a natural transition. But maybe we need to look at it with a different understanding of how our body naturally works. Peeling back the subtle layers, if you will. Today I'd like to explore the subtle body and its relation to menopause and how we feel in our own skin throughout this transition. It's time to stop working out and start working IN. Welcome to this conversation on the energetics and consciousness of yoga! What's the subtle body got to do with it?? I'm so excited to share this conversation with my dear friend Edward Sczudlo. A deep practitioner of yoga and Tibetan buddhism for over 20 years, Edward has completely transformed the way I see yoga by introducing me to the subtle body and the energetic dimensions of the practice. Before I started practicing yoga with Edward, I had no idea why I was doing the twists, backbends, and other yogic postures I had been practicing for so many years! Edward is so kind-hearted and generous with his transmission and I'm honored to have him on my podcast. In this episode, we cover: The role of the subtle body in yoga The innate clarity of the mind, and how to access it Using an awareness of past and future lives to focus our practice What it means to be a spiritual warrior Trusting the wisdom of the heart Reality as a projection If you want to work with Edward one-on-one, you can get in touch with him here: https://www.instagram.com/clear_light_mind/?hl=en You can also learn more about his nonprofit, the Maitri project, here: https://themaitriproject.com/
Today's meditation is focused on the idea that we all hold masculine and feminine energy within us – regardless of your gender. It is clear when I am doing chakra readings that there is frequently an imbalance in many of us. Whilst it is clear that these energies, (that we shall call solar and lunar, to sidestep the issue of sex and gender) are useful for different moments in our lives, when we live with an ongoing imbalance then our Subtle Body, our Energetic Body is out of alignment, and this can show up in a myriad of ways.In this meditation all I ask is that you simple observe your mind and your body as you go through to see how balanced your feel at each of your chakras. We will wander up the Sushumna Nadi and visit each chakra in turn, noting the solar and lunar qualities that reside there. All you need to do is notice. Notice what feels uncomfortable, or easy, what feels solid and what feels illusive. It might be useful to make a journal entry once you have finished to note what you found. This information will guide you in your life, tell you if you need to soften and embrace your lunar side, get in touch with your inner goddess (and yes, men have an inner goddess!), or if you need to energise and motivate yourself to shine brighter, find your power and stoke the inner fire.If you are interested in having a Chakra Reading then please book yourself in via this page on my website. If you would like to book an hour's one to one session with me you can do so here. Or if you would like to have a FREE 15 minute chat to see if we are a good fit for what you need in your life then you can do so here. I look forward to meeting you!Much loveRosanne Hosted on Acast. Using our intention is very powerful when we are wanting to access our Astral or Subtle Body. In this meditation we set out the intention to clear any negative energy that is holding us back at each chakra. You may find that you come up against resistance within your mind or body as you go through the meditation. If this is the case, then take note! This is your Astral Body telling you that there are blockages! Continuing to work with the intentions is beneficial but if you would like to go deeper and find out exactly which part of your life, your energy body is out of balance, then please consider a Chakra Reading where we can find out exactly what is going on AND, most importantly, begin to find solutions to find balance once more. As promised here are the intentions so that you can use them as often as you like. Crown chakra - “I now clear all blocks stopping me from receiving divine guidance and any negative cords or attachments that are draining me of my vitality, now.”Third Eye Chakra - “I now clear all blocks stopping me from hearing and connecting with my intuition and inner guidance, now.”Throat Chakra - “I now clear all the energy blocking me from speaking my truth, now. I now clear all negative energy that I have absorbed through sound – through talking and hearing other people. I clear it now.”Heart Chakra - “I now clear all the energy that is blocking me from giving and entirely receiving love, now.”Solar Plexus Chakra - “I now clear all the energy that is blocking me from being empowered, and owning my space, now.”Sacral Chakra - “I now clear all the energy that's blocking me from exploring my emotions, my creativity, my desires and my passions, now.”Root Chakra - “I now clear all the blocks that are stopping me from being grounded and present, I clear all blocks keeping me from being rooted deeply in abundance, now.”Much loveRosanne Hosted on Acast. On this Episode, number 270, of the “Just Bein' Honest Podcast”, I have one of my FAVORITES on the show - Cynthia Abulafia!True fact: Cynthia graced my energy and presence the early morning of my wedding day. I shed so many past layers and false existences of myself + called in my true divine feminine. It was emotional and beautifully transformational. Thank you Cynthia : )Cynthia has been a yoga teacher for close to 20 years. She brings an eye for detailed instruction to her challenging and creative yoga flow classes, subtle body workshops, and Kundalini Shakti educational programs. Her attention to detail brings her class deeply into the experience of the body, breath, and heart in order to tune attention to its finest point– believing that the purpose of the practice is to simply notice ever deeper into the silence that is the root of all form. Her passion for biomechanics, non-dual self-inquiry, and the beautifully rooted grace of the yoga asanas themselves shines in her classes. In addition to teaching asana she teaches courses in yoga philosophy, subtle body, human anatomy for yoga and yoga ethics. Cynthia created and leads Yoga Soup's 200 Hour Teacher Training and the professional program, the 300 Hour Teacher Training, is E-RYT 500, YACEP (she teaches continuing education), IAYT (Yoga Therapy), and Pilates certified, and holds a Masters in Nutrition. Cynthia believes strongly in educating students about Kundalini energy (not to be confused with the system of yoga in the same name). The poses of Yoga are designed to wake up our subtle body, and yet when this happens- as it inevitably does for many people- we often find ourselves without a compass or a safe community. How does the soul relate to the body? Through the ages, innumerable religious and intellectual movements have proposed answers to this question. Many have gravitated to the notion of the "subtle body," positing some sort of subtle entity that is neither soul nor body, but some mixture of the two. Simon Cox traces the history of this idea from the late Roman Empire to the present day, touching on how philosophers, wizards, scholars, occultists, psychologists, and mystics have engaged with the idea over the past two thousand years. The Subtle Body: A Genealogy (Oxford UP, 2021) is an intellectual history of the subtle body concept from its origins in late antiquity through the Renaissance into the Euro-American counterculture of the 1960's and 70's. It begins with a prehistory of the idea, rooted as it is in third-century Neoplatonism. It then proceeds to the signifier "subtle body" in its earliest English uses amongst the Cambridge Platonists. After that, it looks forward to those Orientalist fathers of Indology, who, in their earliest translations of Sanskrit philosophy relied heavily on the Cambridge Platonist lexicon, and thereby brought Indian philosophy into what had hitherto been a distinctly platonic discourse. At this point, the story takes a little reflexive stroll into the source of the author's own interest in this strange concept, looking at Helena Blavatsky and the Theosophical import, expression, and popularization of the concept. Cox then zeroes in on Aleister Crowley, focusing on the subtle body in fin de siècle occultism. Finally, he turns to Carl Jung, his colleague Frederic Spiegelberg, and the popularization of the idea of the subtle body in the Euro-American counterculture. This book is for anyone interested in yogic, somatic, or energetic practices, and will be very useful to scholars and area specialists who rely on this term in dealing with Hindu, Daoist, and Buddhist texts. What links Vajrayana Buddhism and Vajrayogini to Alistair Crowley and the neo-Platonists? A topic of speculation, desire and imagination, the Subtle Body, also known as the energy body, is an odd phenomena with deep roots in Taoism, Hinduism and Buddhism, but many are unaware that it has a rich history in European thought too. Simon Cox traces its roots in his recent work entitled The Subtle Body: A Geneology (Oxford UP, 2021). In our conversation we tackle multiple themes. Is it real or merely imaginary? Is it a feature of non-dual ontologies, or is more complex than that? Does Buddhism innovate the technology and practices of the subtle body? What happens to the subtle body in the New Age? Panpsychism, Monosomatic Normativity, Henri Bergson, Nietzsche, and much more. Simon Paul Cox, PhD, is an independent scholar and translator who works primarily in Chinese, Tibetan, and Greek. His research focuses on mysticism and the body. He is also a teacher of Chinese Martial Arts and collaborator at the Esalan Institute. He also has something common with me. As a hue-man being, "hue" being the light or halo, "man" who is here to master their mind, and being in this now moment, it's the power of your mind that sets the tone for your reality. 2022 has been a huge year of trusting your intuition, especially during the wild times we faced this year of massive planetary transits. Being a 6 year, the year of The Lovers, according to Tarot, and in the teachings of Kundalini Yoga and Tantric Numerology, this year was focused on the Arcline, the very source where your destiny, karma, and subconscious crap are stored. This halo of yours that's here to protect you is all about protecting your negative, positive, and neutral mind so that you can focus on your divinity. We've had to learn that we are not of this world, that we are simply passing through, so it's important not to be steered off course from our visions, goals, and desires and to stay the course and not be led astray, especially when the going gets tough. We went through challenging times because we've had to come face to face with the very areas in our lives where we've not been in our power or where we've needed to learn how to nourish ourselves better because if we're to magnetize the life we desire, we must address what's been blocking us. This is where our karma is stored, so if you're someone who needs to address situations from the past that you've been bypassing, working through those tests and challenges is the best way to reclaim your power.
