Welcome to Day 3 of your 7-Day Neurocycle Reset—today's arc is GROUND. Yesterday we practiced Rest. Today, we stabilize. In this episode, you'll practice coherent breathing—inhale for ~5 seconds, exhale for ~5 seconds (no holds)—for 3–5 minutes to help reset your emotional state and calm your nervous system. Dr. Caroline Leaf calls the overwhelm and looping thought patterns "your mental mess." Today we use a simple, steady rhythm to interrupt that mess, anchor in the present moment, and create the clarity you need for your next step. In this meditation you'll: Ground your attention in the body Use 5–5 breathing to reset stress and steady your mind Practice meeting thoughts without getting pulled into them Leave with a calm, grounded baseline you can return to anytime Best time to listen: morning start, midday overwhelm, pre-meeting nerves, or whenever your mind feels scattered. This is day 3 of a 7-day meditation series, "7-Day Neuro Reset to Calm Your Nervous System," episodes 3444-3450. ABOUT THIS WEEK'S MEDITATION JOURNEY: Welcome to a brand-new 7-day series on the Daily Meditation Podcast: Neuro Reset—created for that very real moment when the New Year is still here… but your nervous system is already asking for a gentle reboot. Because Week 3 can be a turning point. The excitement of fresh starts fades, your routines get a little wobbly, and your mind starts opening extra tabs: What if I'm behind? What if I can't keep this up? What if I need to start over? If you've felt that, you're not doing anything wrong. It's simply your brain and body recalibrating. This week is designed to help you reset from the inside out—with short, practical meditations that support emotional balance, stress relief, clearer focus, better sleep, and a steadier mood. We'll work with simple tools that calm the nervous system and help you come back to yourself—again and again—without pressure. Each day has an arc and a focus, and today we begin with the arc of Release—releasing mental clutter, tension, and the "I should be doing more" energy… so you can feel lighter, clearer, and more supported moving forward. So settle in. You don't have to force calm. You're simply practicing a reset—one breath at a time. THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGE - "The 7-Day Neurocycle Reset Challenge" Every day: 10 minutes (2 minutes breath + 6 minutes guided Neurocycle step + 2 minutes journaling). THIS WEEK'S MEDITATION JOURNEY Day 1: Refresh Visualization Day 2: Affirmation: "Clarity and calm begin with each new step." Day 3: Coherent Breathing: Inhale ~5 seconds, exhale ~5 seconds (no holds), for 3–5 minutes. Why: A steady rhythm is one of the simplest ways to "reset the system." Day 4: Gyan Mudra for clarity Day 5: Fourth Chakra for compassion Day 6: Neuro Reset Flow meditation, combining the week's techniques Day 7: Weekly review meditation and closure Welcome to this special series: Refresh — a gentle, powerful reset for the start of a brand new year. If you've been craving that clean-slate feeling—not just on your calendar, but inside your mind and in the way you live—this is for you. Because a new year isn't only a date. It's an invitation. To clear what's been cluttering your inner space… to come back to what matters… and to choose how you want to feel as you move forward. Over the next seven episodes, we're going to refresh seven key areas of your life—not with pressure, perfection, or a long list of goals… but with inner clarity. Think of this series like opening the windows of your life and letting fresh air move through every room. Each day, we'll focus on one area—simple, practical, and deeply supportive. You'll be guided through: a short, grounding insight to create perspective a few reflective prompts to clarify what's true for you right now and a calming meditation to help you integrate the shift—so this becomes something you feel, not just something you think about This isn't about fixing yourself. You're not behind. You don't need to become someone else to have a meaningful year. This is about coming home to yourself—and gently updating the way you live, so your days match the person you're becoming. So wherever you are—making coffee, sitting in your car, walking outside, or curled up in a quiet corner—take a breath and let this be your beginning. Welcome to your refresh. Let's start the year with clarity… and create a life that feels clean, aligned, and truly yours. SHARE YOUR MEDITATION JOURNEY WITH YOUR FELLOW MEDITATORS Let's connect and inspire each other! As 2025 comes to a close, what if your most powerful health habit for the new year isn't doing more—but learning to slow down? In this reflective episode of Cycle Wisdom, Dr. Monica Minjeur explores how calm, sleep, nervous system regulation, and simplified care can dramatically improve cycle health, mental health, and fertility outcomes.Through a patient story and themes seen across hundreds of women this year, you'll learn why less intensity often leads to better ovulation, stronger luteal phases, and greater emotional resilience. Dr. Minjeur also shares a gentle, step-by-step reset to help you enter 2026 with clarity, focus, and hope—without overwhelm or unrealistic expectations.
In this final episode of the series, we explore what it truly means to return to calm presence—not as a perfect state, but as a place you can come back to again and again. You'll learn why calm isn't the absence of disturbance, but the ability to remain grounded within it. Drawing on neuroscience, we look at how gentle repetition, nervous system regulation, and vagal tone help calm become a familiar baseline rather than a fleeting moment. Through a simple story and reflective guidance, this episode invites you to notice the quiet moments of steadiness already woven into your day. This is not about fixing yourself or chasing peace. It's about remembering the way home. Perfect for listening during a pause, a walk, or as a closing ritual to this journey. What if emotional balance isn't about staying calm—but about staying connected? In this episode, we explore the science of emotional regulation, the nervous system's role in emotional overwhelm, and why trying to suppress or "fix" emotions often makes them stronger. You'll learn how emotions are designed to move through the body, what actually helps them resolve, and how to restore balance without bypassing what you feel. Through neuroscience, gentle reflection, and a powerful story, Day 6 invites you to stop fighting your emotions and start listening to them—so balance can naturally return. This is not about controlling your feelings. It's about trusting yourself to feel them. Day 5: Nurture at the Root — Safety, Stability, and the First Chakra What if growth didn't require more effort—but more safety? In this Day 5 episode, we explore how true transformation depends on nurture at the most foundational level: the body. We dive into the first chakra as the energetic and neurological root of belonging, regulation, and sustainable change. You'll learn how the arc of growth bends downward before it rises, why the nervous system must feel safe before transformation can last, and how nurture is not a luxury—but a biological requirement for integration. This episode invites you to slow down, settle in, and discover how grounding practices, embodied care, and root-level safety create the conditions for real, lasting evolution. Because nothing meaningful grows without roots. Day 4 of the Emotional Reset 7-Day Journey focuses on grounding through inner stability. Building on the foundation of nervous system regulation, this episode explores how stillness, focused attention, and embodied awareness support emotional balance. You'll be guided through a calming meditation using Gyan Mudra, a traditional hand gesture shown to support focus and nervous system regulation through sensory feedback. Grounded in neuroscience and somatic awareness, this practice helps quiet mental noise and cultivate a sense of clarity that can be accessed anywhere. Day 4 reminds us that grounding doesn't always come from the outside — sometimes it's found in the quiet steadiness within. This week on The Daily Meditation Podcast, we're beginning a special 7-day meditation series designed to help you gently release emotional buildup and reconnect with a sense of calm, clarity, and inner balance. So many of us move through our days carrying emotions we never had time to process — lingering stress, emotional fatigue, or subtle tension that quietly accumulates. This series offers a supportive pause, giving your nervous system space to settle and your emotional world room to reset. Each day, you'll be guided through a short meditation with a specific emotional focus, following a gentle daily arc that builds naturally across the week. We'll move from releasing emotional residue, to resting and grounding the nervous system, to creating emotional boundaries, self-soothing, restoring balance, and finally embodying calm presence. You don't need to prepare, analyze, or do anything extra. Simply listening each day is enough. Each meditation stands on its own, while also supporting a deeper sense of emotional ease as the week unfolds. Whether you listen to one episode or join us for the full 7-day journey, this series is an invitation to slow down, soften, and reconnect with yourself. ALL ABOUT THIS WEEK'S SERIES This is day 1 of a 7-day meditation series, "Emotional Reset: Your 7-Day Plan," episodes 3430-3436. Prepare to embrace peace in daily life. YOUR WEEKLY CHALLENGE: "The Gentle Reset Challenge" Pause once daily. Hand on heart. Name the emotion. No fixing. THIS WEEK'S MEDITATION JOURNEY Day 1: Release Emotional Residue Visualization Day 2: Affirmation: "I allow my emotions to move through me with ease and compassion." Paul Preziotti, CPA and partner at Johnson Lambert, joins co-hosts Julia Patrick and Meico Marquette Whitlock to provide a grounded, real-time financial snapshot of the nonprofit sector in 2025. As Paul begins, “Each month, it's like, oh, that happened… now that happened,” capturing the fast-moving nature of today's funding landscape. The hosts and guest explore lessons learned from past crises and how nonprofits must evolve their planning models, including annual board and staff financial trainings, contingency-based budgets, and integrating cash flow analysis into strategic decision-making. Paul emphasizes that scenario planning is not a one-time task, but an organizational mindset: “You can't do this overnight… you need to build in review time at all levels—starting with the board.”The conversation digs deep into scenario planning—why it's essential, and how it gives nonprofits a flexible roadmap when the future is uncertain. Gone are the days of assuming government funding is reliable. Preziotti says, “Even if your agency isn't one of the ones in the news, I think you have to think about a scenario in the future where that funding doesn't exist.”The trio also address the communication gap between finance professionals and non-financial staff or board members. Paul and Meico discuss creating a budgeting culture that empowers all roles with the right knowledge and confidence to engage in financial discussions—without fear of judgment—adding that staying calm and building a supportive tone at the top helps organizations weather instability with resilience.Outsourcing is presented as a flexible and cost-efficient solution, especially for smaller nonprofits. Whether outsourcing payroll, the CFO role, or just the budget process, it's all about customizing help where it's most needed e.g.tailoring financial communication for diverse board members, using dashboards, infographics, or narrative reporting as appropriate.00:00:00 Welcome and Introduction 00:01:52 Meet Paul Preziotti from Johnson Lambert 00:03:14 Nonprofit Budget and Funding Uncertainty in 2025 00:05:22 Why Scenario Planning Matters for Nonprofits 00:07:18 Lessons Learned from COVID and Natural Disasters 00:08:54 What Non-Financial Board Members Should Know 00:11:14 How Smaller Nonprofits Can Manage Scenario Planning 00:12:00 Outsourcing Financial Roles as a Cost-Saving Strategy 00:14:50 Building a Culture of Budgeting and Communication 00:17:23 Training Financial Staff to Communicate Clearly 00:21:02 How to Communicate Finances to the Board 00:23:35 What Boards Should Really Focus On Financially 00:25:44 How to Stay Calm During Financial Uncertainty 00:28:16 Sector-Wide Warnings and Final Thoughts Find us Live daily on YouTube!Find us Live daily on LinkedIn!Find us Live daily on X: @Nonprofit_ShowOur national co-hosts and amazing guests discuss management, money and missions of nonprofits! 12:30pm ET 11:30am CT 10:30am MT 9:30am PTSend us your ideas for Show Guests or Topics: HelpDesk@AmericanNonprofitAcademy.comVisit us on the web:The Nonprofit Show

Theresa is an EFT Master Practitioner, Hypnotherapist, Podcast Host, Founder of Becoming More Me, and a mom of four boys. On top of all that, Theresa recently authored a book, "Becoming More Me: Tapping into Success - Subconscious Secrets of an ADHD Entrepreneurial Mom", which was born from her passion to help like-minded women to ditch anxiety, limiting beliefs, and past trauma. After living her whole life with high-functioning anxiety and being diagnosed with ADHD in her early 40s, Theresa is now thriving because she learned to address the root causes of her dis-ease. Whether it's limiting beliefs, nervous system dysregulation, or the inability to lose weight and achieve your health goals, you too can get to the root cause of your dis-ease! Remember ladies, balance is rarely realistic, but integration really is. As Theresa says, we can make so many strides when we understand the role our nervous system plays and when we love, accept, and forgive ourselves along the way. Let's do this! Key Highlights: Theresa's journey to nervous system regulation and elevated consciousness. What is high-functioning anxiety and how do you manage it? The secret to achieving your goals without forcing them. The science-backed benefits of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT aka “tapping”). How to overcome cravings (for good) with EFT. Releasing toxic positivity and negative emotions. The most effective ways to use affirmations (and feel real results). What happens when you make your goals too big.
