The Miami Hurricanes have a chance to take advantage of a poor rushing defense from their Week Four opponent. The Temple Owls are 130th in America against the run. In their toughest game yet, they were gashed for 254 on the ground by Rutgers. The Miami Hurricanes were looking for consistency in their second scrimmage of fall camp. Head coach Mario Cristobal says “happy” is never a word that enters his vocabulary as a coach, but he did say he is “enthused about the progress of the program.” Canes running back Ajay Allen had another big scrimmage with 91 yards on 7 carries. We're officially into the off-season, and while we initially had the notion to visit with Ryan Tweedy about his documentary “Through These Gates,” it's not just Star Wars Day, but it's also his birthday. The Miami Hurricanes have added Nebraska transfer running back Ajay Allen to an important list of Portal visitors this weekend. Allen has all four years of eligibility remaining after suffering a season-ending collarbone injury as a true freshman in 2022.
