They also talk about the importance of language in describing pain and the practice of somatic tracking. Overall, the episode emphasizes the possibility of finding relief from pain and improving relationships through understanding and working with the body's sensations.Key TakeawaysPhysical and emotional pain are often correlated, and addressing emotional pain can help alleviate physical pain.Pain reprocessing therapy can help individuals understand and change their relationship with pain, leading to relief.Language is important in describing pain, and reframing how we talk about pain can impact our experience of it.Somatic tracking is a practice that involves getting curious about the sensations in our body and learning to be present with them.Finding relief from chronic pain is possible, and it can lead to improved relationships and a richer life.PPC has generously offered our listeners the chance to win a 50-minute consultation, along with a free copy of their new workbook "The Pain Reprocessing Therapy Workbook" . In this episode, Lawrence Joss interviews Vanessa Blackstone, the executive director at Pain Psychology Center, about chronic pain and its emotional and physical components. They discuss how chronic pain can be a result of parental alienation, estrangement, or erasure, and how it affects relationships.Vanessa explains the concept of Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) and how it helps individuals change their response to pain. They also explore the connection between emotional trauma and physical pain, and the importance of getting to know and understand the pain. The episode ends with Lawrence sharing his personal experience with chronic pain and expressing gratitude for the journey it has led him on.Key TakeawaysChronic pain can be a result of parental alienation, estrangement, or erasure, and it affects relationships.Pain reprocessing therapy (PRT) helps individuals change their response to pain by providing tools and psychoeducation.Emotional trauma and physical pain come from the same part of the brain, and our brain sends physical sensations to our body as a response to emotional triggers. It is important to get to know and understand the pain before trying to make it go away, as it helps us respond to the physical sensations in a healthier way.Chronic pain can be a result of unresolved emotional trauma or a type A personality that is constantly powering through.Slowing down, taking care of ourselves, and changing our response to pain can have a profound impact on our overall well-being and relationships.Pain Psychology Center - www.painpsychologycenter.comPPC has generously offered our listeners the chance to win a 50-minute consultation, along with a free copy of their new workbook "The Pain Reprocessing Therapy Workbook" . Slam the Gavel podcast welcomes Charlie McCready from London, UK to the podcast. Mr. McCready provides coaching services for parents experiencing Parental Alienation. Parental Alienation is where another parent, relative or carer is deliberately trying to DAMAGE the relationship with a Target Parent's child and this can even result in the Target Parent having NO CONTACT with them. Parental Alienation is insidious, counter intuitive, misunderstood and is traumatic for both the child and the Target Parent and their relatives that are being alienated. Charlie McCready teaches parents how Parental Alienation is having an IMPACT their children, why they are demonstrating particular behaviors, how to ADAPT their parenting styles and REBUILD those precious BONDS with their children they once had. An alienated parent will also be experiencing TRAUMA and some emotions that are specific to alienation, including GRIEF, GUILT, ISOLATION, INJUSTICE, WORRY, WALKING ON EGGSHELLS and FEAR. This emotional state affects all aspects of the Target Parent's life and can have a DETRIMENTAL IMPACT on the relationships with their children. Mr. McCready coaches parents in RESTORING their mental and EMOTIONAL WELLBEING which benefits them as well as helping them to provide the support that their children need so desperately from them. Slam the Gavel welcomes Tamara Sweeney to the podcast. Tamara is a "sur-thriver" of Domestic Family Terrorism, Severe Parental Alienation, Intimate Partner Violence, Narcissistic Abuse, Court Harassment, Incarceration and threats and ultimatums on her life. Tamara was with her husband for 20 years. When she was married , she was literally a single mother raising 4 children under the age of 5 and 1 child with TGA,(transposition of the Greater Arteries which is a severe heart condition). Also, her youngest had multiple open heart surgeries starting at his birth. However, Tamara's husband was never home, being gone for 6 consecutive weeks at a time, home on a weekend and then gone again. She had the Mother and Father responsibilities and she just did it all because she thought her husband was building a business and a life for their family. When she asked for a divorce in 2012 her children were 10, 12, 14, 16 years of age. The threats and ultimatums and rage from her husband were very severe. He told Tamara that the children could murder her and get away with it because they are under age and SHE deserved it. The Narcissistic tactics at this point were a full on attack against Tamara, a SMEAR CAMPAIGN, the gaslighting, as well as the neighbors, friends, her own brother and parents, the judges, lawyers, therapists, police, priest, school principals were all AGAINST her. She was labeled "Bi-polar," "Mentally ill" and "Crazy." Her husband wanted her dead. Tamara was afraid for her life, so so she decided to put the truth out on social media and that literally saved her life and started an organization called #LoveDominates. She didn't want her children to believe what the Alienator was telling them. Tamara stayed local in town until my last child graduated HS, even though she was not part of their lives anymore. She wanted to role model to them, that her heart is filled with LOVE and NOT to accept this kind of abuse or behaviors from anyone. Tamara is hoping that she taught them to speak out for their God given rights and to follow their intuition. Tamara has come along way. Her journey, she believes is to sail around the world making awareness to #ParentalAlienation, #CPSCorruption, #ElderlyCareAbuse, #ChildTrafficking, #ChildAbuse, #HateCrimes, #DV, #IPV, #CourtCorruption and to spread the word of #AgapeLove. For every nautical mile she will sail it is for this purpose. She is the only solo sailor woman to sail around the world for this cause. Before Tamara set sail, she put out a video on her Youtube Channel called "AGAPE LOVE CHALLENGE". Tamara states, "this is to challenge everyone to do an act of kindness and video tape it because the more LOVE we have in this world the easier it will be to conquer the EVIL." https://youtu.be/ES5znTqKlrERally Up:For funding the safe homes and "sailing for therapy"https://go.rallyup.com/5d9e22#AGAPELOVEDOMINATES https://forecast.predictwind.com/tracking/display/SV-AGAPE/To Reach Tamara: all social media outlets under love dominates and what's app: +1-215-601-3234, Facebook Messenger and YouTube LoveDominatesThis episode of Slam the Gavel is sponsored by CPSprotect Consulting Services. "Support The Scene!" isn't just an old adage or a tired cliche'. Local Metal/Punk scenes aren't just a source of weekend entertainment. The "scene" is an important breeding ground for young talent to get their chops in before moving on to bigger ("better" will always be subjective). And it's a great source of weekend entertainment. But the scene needs to thrive to survive. So we all need to do our part. So this week we have a laundry list of Dos and Don'ts everyone should employ for the betterment of the scene. Some are obvious, some are a little more outside the box. But all are important. In our "News, Views and Tunes', we mark out over the new Wednesday series. Musically, we crank bunch of new tunage from Siege Of Power, All Out War, Dead Quiet, Phantom Spell, Carnal Savagery, Take It In The Blood, Phantom Killing and introduce Thunder Bay's(!) Alienator in the "Indie Spotlight". Horns Up and Stay Healthy! This Episode is sponsored by Trve Kvlt Coffee. Summon the coffee demons to possess yourself a cup today! On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Brad from Alienator a sludge/noise rock band from Thunder Bay, Canada who have some amazing new music which touches on just about every subject over the last couple years. Pipeman says looking at all their songs, he can't see anything that has been left out of the discography that the world needs therapy for. Brad says music is therapy and looking at his songs are like looking at his therapy sessions, but it's therapy for the listeners too who are dealing with similar problems. Pipeman talks about how one of the positives you can pick out of the pandemic is that the level of music we have seen since we have come out of lockdown is incredible. Brad says it allowed him to connect with his family, focus on what is important and work on his mental health. Pipeman asks about the different types of songs which are on the album and Brad says it was conscious decision when they started the band that they didn't want to be a band with one style. They didn't want to feel limited in what they were writing so they write however they feel. Brad explains the album deals with a lot of dark themes and reflects what has been going on in the world at the moment, like the erosion of truth in the public discourse. The don't want to be seen as a message band, but they do want to write about something so this is how that manifests itself. Be sure to check the guys out on social media, like Facebook and Instagram to keep right up to date with everything they're doing, and if you want physical copies of the new music, you can check the guys out on Bandcamp too. the band is ready to unleash their follow-up, entitled “Regrets,” which introduces new drummer Simon Paquette to the fold. The album is bleak and abrasive, with moments of calm, melody, and beauty to juxtapose against the ugliness. Raw, uncompromising, and dark, it is emotionally heavy music that reflects a chaotic time in history.“Regrets” is due out November 25, 2022.Album and Live Line Up:Brad King – Vocals, GuitarSean Skillen – Bass, VocalsSimon Paquette – DrumsBand: AlienatorRelease Date: November 25, 2022Label: Self-ReleaseDistribution: DistrokidTake some zany and serious journeys with The Pipeman aka Dean K. Slam the Gavel welcomes Jennifer Szeghi, M.A. to the show. She is a parent-child coach and parent coordinator, who specializes working with high conflict families. Her journey started two decades ago working with families in the mental health field in various settings, such as the psychiatric unit, juvenile detention, and outpatient settings. Jennifer's education consists of a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology, a Graduate Certificate in Children & Adolescent Psychology, and a plethora of trainings in working with high conflict families and parental alienation. Spending fifteen years of her career teaching psychology courses to college students, which included child and adolescent development, Jennifer used these professional interactions and recognized a need to help families who go through a divorce and developed programs in her Successful Parenting business to address these issues. Her Co-parent Coaching Program focuses on families developing the skills necessary to put up boundaries, have positive communication, and strategies to raise healthy children in their new normal. The program Rescue the Parent-Child Bond works with target parents and sometimes the whole family, to implement strategies to repair the parent-child bond and inoculate the child from future alienation. Also, Jennifer's podcast, The Alienator's Chess Game, discusses these strategies for parents to be able to be proactive and empower them in this situation. Recently she also launched The Checkmate Project, where target parents meet and are paired to work together on different obstacles target parents are facing and create long-term change in our society. To Reach Jennifer Szeghi, M.A.: http://www.successfulparentingllc.com/ http://beentheregotout.com/https://monicaszymonik.mykajabi.com/Masterclass USE CODE SLAM THE GAVEL PODCAST FOR 10% OFF THE COURSEFor 2022 PA Retreat: https://markdavidroseman.com/retreat-registration-form/ For more information, contact co-organizers:Maryann Petri at maryannpetri3@gmail.com Ann O'Keeffe Rodgers at okeefferodgers@gmail.com http://www.dismantlingfamilycourtcorruption.com/Music by: mictechmusic@yahoo.comSupport the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri)

This week Andy Rohr joins us for the third time. This time around we talk about The Oscars and some of the biggest snubs to have ever happened. Then he helps us review the brand new Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas film Deep Water and the late 80s Sci-Fi flick Alienator starring Jan Michael Vincent. Listen to new episodes every Friday.
Acomi and Turk182 Michael down their Vincent's as the watch the Fred Olen Ray sci-fi snoozer Alienator (1990). Usually, you can count on Fred Olen Ray to deliver some low budget, easy to please, 1980 VHS style entertainment. Something that's light on plot, but heavy laughs; whether intentional, or unintentional. The writer/director of classics like Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers, Prison Ship a.k.a. Star Slammer, and Cyclone (1987) with Heather Thomas and Jeffrey Combs. But, not this time. Barely entertaining, with a plot thinner than a spiders web, and characters that are so unlikeable they can't even be clichés. Braces yourselves and envision thoughts of Airwolf as you join Acomi and Turk for Alienator. Acomi and Turk182, along the occasional special guest, provide running commentary of awfulsome movie and TV shows. The hosts select movies that either one, or both, have never seen. All jokes and comments are improvised. NO PREPARED JOKES OR COMMENTS! During recording, the movies are watched at a low volume and with the subtitles on. Viewers may want to turn subtitles on as well to enhance the viewing experience. So, cue up the audio, ready the movie, and hit play when we say so. Note: This video is the commentary recorded by Acomi and Turk182, and selected screenshots. It is NOT a viewable copy of the film. The commentary can be enjoyed on its own, but if you want to experience the Let's Watch in all its glory, you'll need your own copy of the movie. Most of the movies viewed can be streamed online for free. #OMTWF #KorovaEntertainment #LetsWatch #LW #Acomi #Turk182 #awfulsome #Alienator1990 #FredOlenRay # Follow Acomi on Twitter at @AcomiDraws and on Instagram at AcomiDraws. Holy cow! Episode Zero! It's been a long day so let me know if there's anything I should have linked in the description and I'll fix that. Love you guys so much. - Thomas
