Ich erzähle von den ganz frühen Jahren, den Reinhard-Mey- und Manfred-Siebald-Platten, die meine Liebe zu gesungenen Geschichten entfachen. Als Kind einer deutschen Familie und Sohn eines evangelischen Theologen in Österreich bin ich zunächst zwar Außenseiter, habe damit aber kein Problem. Die erste schwere Erschütterung: Der frühe Tod meines Bruders. Er beendet meine kindliche Vorstellung vom Himmel auf Erden. Das Liedermachen wird zum Beruf, Hochzeit mit Angela. Elf Jahre sind wir zusammen, 2009 kommt unser Sohn zur Welt. Krise, Trennung, Scheidung. Depressive Phasen, die mich heute noch manchmal erwischen. Doch auch Versöhnung, große Dankbarkeit und Momente tiefen Friedens. A conversation came up on Knife Talk podcast about Lego and if the world renowned company changed direction by minimizing  the creativity for the user and pushed for instruction/ kit based focus. It jogged some memories of the great Lego Riot of 1981 and the violence that ensued in my first grade class. Warum können die Aktienmärkte trotz geopolitischer Krisen, Inflation, hoher Energiepreise und hoher Unsicherheiten so erstaunlich robust bleiben? Das erklärt #Arne_Tölsner, Head of Client Group DACHbei Capital Group im Gespräch mit der GELDMEISTERIN folgendermaßen: Ihm zufolge sind kurzfristige Marktschwankungen durch Kriege, Konflikte oder Ölpreisschocks zwar ernst zu nehmen. Langfristig seien es aber vor allem die Unternehmensgewinne die die Richtung an den Börsen vorgeben.Laut einer aktuellen Global-Equity-Studie von Capital Group haben die Gewinne der weltweit größten börsennotierten Unternehmen zuletzt ein Rekordniveau erreicht. Gleichzeitig blieben auch Dividenden und Aktienrückkäufe hoch. Das habe auch damit zu tun, dass einige strukturelle Investmentthemen derzeit klassische Konjunkturzyklen überlagern. Dazu zählen vor allem: Künstliche Intelligenz als Produktivitäts- und Investitionszyklus Verteidigung und Sicherheit durch die hierfür steigenden staatlichen Ausgaben Die Energie- und Netzinfrastruktur, die weltweit kräftig ausgebaut werden. Die Digitalisierung, Automatisierung und der Ausbau der kritischen Infrastruktur robuste Geschäftsmodelle in den Bereichen Gesundheit, Industrie und bei ausgewählten Finanzwerten.Tölsner betont, dass KI nicht nur ein Thema für klassische Technologieunternehmen ist. Entscheidend sei vielmehr, welche Unternehmen KI tatsächlich nutzen können, um Produktivität, Margen und Ertragskraft zu verbessern. Profiteure könnten daher entlang der gesamten Wertschöpfungskette liegen: Halbleiter, Rechenzentren, Stromnetze, Industrieausrüstung, Software, Gesundheitswesen und Finanzdienstleistungen. Ob andererseits Aktien aktuell schon zu teuer sind müsse man differenzierter betrachten: Die Bewertungen seien teilweise anspruchsvoll, aber die Kurse können aufgrund steigender Gewinnerwartungen durchaus gerechtfertigt sein. Man müsse noch mehr als bisher auf die Qualität, Bilanzstärke, Preissetzungsmacht und ein tragfähiges Geschäftsmodell des Unternehmens achten. Für Anlegerinnen und Anleger lautet die zentrale Botschaft: Nicht versuchen, den Markt perfekt zu timen. Wer zu lange an der Seitenlinie steht, verpasst oft genau jene starken Börsentage, die nach Korrekturen besonders wichtig sind. This was going to be the Mother's Day massacre but I don't think I was ready for that smoke. I definitely had some mother's day issues with a couple mothers very dear to me. Hopefully I can fix things. We swerved into maker talk with my experience as a latchkey kid and how it informed my forged Butterfly knives. Wrapped it all up and came in for a nice landing. Seit Jahresbeginn ist die Aktie von Warren Buffett´s Beteiligungsholding Berkshire Hathaway in Euro um rund fünf Prozent, in Dollar um sechs Prozent gefallen. Das, obwohl der „US-amerikanische Bauchladen“ mit den Schwerpunkten (Rück)Versicherungen, Eisenbahn, Konsumwerte, Stahl- und Erdölindustrie und mit der größten Position Apple und neuerdings ein paar Milliarden Alphabet-Aktien wieder einmal erstklassige Quartalsergebnisse lieferte. VonJänner bis Ende März 2026 stieg der operative Gewinn der Berkshire um 18 Prozent auf 11,35 Milliarden US Dollar. Der Überschuss durch Buchgewinne,  inklusive Aktiengewinne verdoppelte sich auf 10,1 Milliarden US-Dollar. Greg Abel  hatknapp 400 Milliarden US-Dollar Cash in der Kasse. Gerechnet wird mit weiteren Aktienrückkäufen, da es bei den aktuellen Kursniveaus für so einen großen Tanker wie die Berkshire Hathaway es derzeit nicht viele günstige  Gelegenheiten für Firmenzukäufe gäbe. Oder liegt es daran, dass internationale Investoren um den größten Kapitalmarkt der Welt, die USA einen Bogen machen? I just got back from staying with Ben Snure and his family on the Texas Ranch he works on and it was an incredible time. West Texas is beautiful & wild with moments of terrifying desolation. The Snure family are incredibly resourceful, self reliant and fantastic. We ate extremely well, forged, drove around and I watched as Ben tended to the cattle. Then we went to the World Championship Blacksmith forging competition where we watched the best farriers in the world compete in a 3 day event that highlighted the most technical aspects of forging in the game. Justin Modica of Modica Knives is a resourceful young man.  After a childhood traveling as a professional skateboarder he started a small family business and transitioned into being a great knife maker. He transformed old broken skateboard parts into knife handles, breathing new life into his past history. It's very fitting and I think he has a fearlessness on starting businesses that come from years feeling failure as he perfects skateboard tricks.
