In dieser Episode ist Maximilian Otto zu Gast. Gemeinsam sprechen wir über die Frage, wie Coaching im Wettkampf wirklich wirkt – und warum die Spielerperspektive dabei häufig zu kurz kommt. Grundlage sind seine wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten und Praxiserfahrungen zum Wettkampfcoaching. Wir diskutieren, welche Trainerinterventionen Spieler unterstützen und welche sie eher hemmen. Außerdem geht es um Kommunikation an der Seitenlinie, Coaching-Codes, den Umgang mit Emotionen und darum, wie Training und Wettkampf stärker miteinander verbunden werden können. Jüngste EZB-Zinserhöhung sei ein Fehler gewesen!In der aktuellen Podcast-Folge der Geldmeisterin spricht JuliaKistner mit #Dr.HolgerSchmieding , Chefvolkswirt bei Berenberg,über Inflation, Zinsen, Kapitalmärkte und die Frage, welche Anlagen in einem inflationäre Umfeld wirklich Schutz bieten. Seine überraschende Antwort: Momentan sieht er gar keine Inflationstendenzen. Die jüngste Zinserhöhung der Europäischen Zentralbank bezeichnet Holger Schmieding deshalb als Fehler. Der aktuelle Inflationsdruck in der Eurozone komme vor allem von außen,insbesondere durch höhere Energiepreise infolge geopolitischer Spannungen. Auf solche Preisschocks könne die EZB mit höheren Zinsen kaum sinnvoll reagieren. Im Gegenteil: Höhere Finanzierungskosten könnten die ohnehin belastete Konjunktur zusätzlich schwächen.Für die kommenden Monate erwartet Schmieding keine weiteren Zinserhöhungen der EZB. Die Inflation in der Eurozone dürfte seiner Einschätzung nach im kommenden Frühjahr wieder inRichtung zwei Prozent zurückgehen. Mittelfristig könne sie allerdings wieder etwas höher liegen, insbesondere wenn Arbeitskräfte knapper werden und dadurch der Lohndruck steigt. Die KI könne den Arbeitskräftemangel nicht komplett kompensieren.Auch international sieht Schmieding unterschiedliche Inflationsbilder. In den USA sei der Inflationsdruck stärker hausgemacht: Zölle, höhere Staatsausgaben und eine restriktivere Einwanderungspolitik könnten Preise und Löhne länger oben halten. In China hingegen gebe es eher deflationäre Tendenzen, weil massive Überkapazitäten bei Industriegütern auf die Preise drücken.Für Anlegerinnen und Anleger bedeutet das laut Schmieding: Die Kapitalmärkte könnten davon profitieren, dass die Zentralbanken weniger stark straffen müssen als manche Marktteilnehmer erwarten. Aktien sieht er grundsätzlich weiterhin positiv, während Anleihen kurzfristig von stabileren Renditen profitieren könnten. Langfristig sei bei Staatsanleihen aber Vorsicht geboten, falls dieRenditen in einigen Jahren wieder steigen.Gold, inflationsgeschützte Anleihen, Bitcoin und FiatgeldGold könne zwar davon profitieren, dass die Zinsen doch nicht so stark steigen. Aber aus Inflationssicht für Schmieding sei Gold derzeit kein zwingender Kauf. Inflationsgeschützte Anleihen hält Ökonom Holger Schmieding nur bedingt attraktiv. Es sei zu viel Inflationsangst bereits eingepreist. Bitcoin sieht er nicht als Inflationsschutz, sondern als hochvolatile Wette.Beim Thema Währungen bleibt Volkswirt Holger Schmieding klar: Der Dollar werde zwar etwas an Marktanteil verlieren, bleibe aber Leitwährung Nummer eins. Weder der chinesische Yuan noch der Euro hätten derzeit die Voraussetzungen, den Dollarabzulösen. Europa fehle dafür unter anderem ein tiefer, einheitlicher Kapitalmarkt.Wo Holger Schmieding momentan vorsichtig wäre sei bei stark gestiegenen KI-Werten. Er warnt davor, jetzt unüberlegt auf den Zug aufzuspringen. Interessanter findet er in Europa Themen rund um Verteidigung, Luftfahrt, Raumfahrt, Drohnen undsicherheitsrelevante Technologien. Auch erneuerbare Energien hätten Zukunft, seien aber stark von politischen Rahmenbedingungen abhängig.Eine Podcast-Folge, die gehört gehört. Was PferdebesitzerInnen konkret tun könnenDie Hufe verraten so viel. Sei es über die Belastung, Bewegung, Haltung, Fütterung, den Stoffwechsel und sogar über den psychischen Stress des Pferdes. Hier können Veränderungenan der Hufwand, an der weißen Linie, am Strahl oder an der Sohle wichtige Warnsignale sein. Wie man diese Hufprobleme frühzeitig entdecken kann erklärendie Hufexperten #KerstinKabus und Dr. #MichaelZanger in ihrem neuen Ratgeber „Hufe helfen“, erschienen im #Kosmos-Verlag und in dieser AUF TRAB-Podcast-Folge. Besprochen wird unter anderem, wie sich die Hufwand in verschiedene Bereiche gliedert: Zehenwand, Seitenwand und Trachtenwand. Je nachdem, wie sich diese Bereiche ausbilden, kann man Rückschlüsse darauf ziehen, wie ein Pferd seine Gliedmaßen belastet und ob möglicherweise ein körperliches oder stoffwechselbedingtes Problem dahintersteht.Zu den typischen Hufprobleme zählen etwa Sohlenprobleme. Eine dünne oder flache Sohle lässt das Pferd fühlig laufen. Ein Klassiker ist die Strahlfäule bei feuchtem Untergrund, schlechter Hygiene oder ungünstiger Haltung. Typisch sind schwarze, schmierige Stellen, ein durchlöcherter oder schmaler Strahl oder auch ein  unangenehmer Geruch.Immer häufiger käme der Strahlkrebs vor, eine krankhafte Überproduktion von Horn. Warnzeichen sind weiches, helleres, „blumenkohlartiges“ Gewebe, das schnell blutet. Hiermüssen Tierarzt und Hufbearbeiter gemeinsam dran.Auch die Eckstreben machen Probleme. Sie sind im Grunde umgeschlagene Hufwand. Wenn die Hufwand ein Belastungsproblem zeigt, sieht man das oft auch in den Eckstreben.Hornspalten sind gefürchtet, wobei nicht jeder kleine Riss dramatisch ist. Feine oberflächliche Risse im Sommer können harmlos sein. Kritisch wird es, wenn ein Hornspalt tief geht, blutet oder bis in sensible Strukturen reicht. Wo sich der Spalt genau gebildet hat, gibt Hinweise auf die Ursache.Einen Hornspalt etwa einfach mit Kunsthorn oder Kitt zu verschließen kann problematisch sein, weil darunter Keime eingeschlossen werden können. Das Gleiche gilt für Rillen in der Sohle, die man mit Kit auszufüllen möchte, damit sich keine Steinchen hineindrücken. Bei Steinchen in der weißen Linie warnen die Podcast-Gäste vor zu viel Aktionismus. Natürlich sollen Hufe gereinigt werden, aber ständiges Herauskratzen kleinster Steinchen aus geschwächtem Horn könne die Situation sogar verschlimmern. Auch für den Huf sei Bewegung zentral. Bewegungsställe, unterschiedliche Untergründe, Spaziergänge, Bodenarbeit und Reiten könnenhelfen, den Huf funktionell zu unterstützen.Die Frage, ob jedes Pferd barhuf laufen kann sei nicht eindeutig zu beantworten. Grundsätzlich sind Pferde natürlich barhuf geboren. Aber ob ein Pferd im Alltagohne Schutz gut zurechtkommt, hängt stark von Haltung, Untergrund, Nutzung, Hornqualität und Stoffwechsel ab.Wie flache Hufe die Sehnen belasten,  wie sich Schiefe an den Hufe erkennen lässt ebenso wie Stoffwechselkrankheiten, wie man Veränderungen am Huf am besten mit den Handy festhält, warum die Bearbeitungsintervalle nicht zu lange sein dürfen  – all das erfährt ich in dieser AUF TRAB-Folge.Vorgestellt wird auch die LTZ-Huf-App, mit der Pferdebesitzerinnen und Pferdebesitzer kurze Videos der Hufe machen können. I'm back from another amazing trip from Barcelona teaching a workshop with my brother Tomer Botner from Florentine Kitchen Knives. We had a fantastic time with the students as it's a different style of class structure. Tomer called in to recap the workshop and all the aspects of making people who have never made knives before get the experience of what it takes to bring one home. Every part was exciting and we talk about the sharpening process that each student got a lot out of. We talked about his local collaborators like Chef Borja and his Tattooist Roger. We talked about what's next for Florentine and even hit on the Knicks off season moves to hopefully get back to the NBA finals. Sind Rohstoffe in einem neuen Superzyklus? In dieser Folge der Geldmeisterin spricht Julia Kistner mit Kapitalmarktexperte #CarstenRoemheld, Kapitalmarktstratege bei #Fidelity darüber, warum Rohstoffe in den kommenden Jahren eine besonders wichtige Rolle spielen könnten.Was für einen Rohstoff-Superzyklus spricht: Momentan sehen wir gleichzeitig enorme Investitionswellen in mehreren Bereichen wie KI-Infrastruktur, Energiewende, Energieversorgung, Verteidigung und klassischer Infrastruktur. Diese Nachfrage trifft auf ein Rohstoffangebot, das in den vergangenen Jahren nur begrenzt ausgebaut wurde. Daraus könnte eine längere Phase steigender oder zumindest gutunterstützter Rohstoffpreise entstehen.Carsten Roemheld denkt  unter anderem um Kupfer, Lithium, Nickel, Kobalt, seltene Erden, Aluminium, Silber, Gold sowie Öl und Gas. Gold nimmt eine Sonderrolle als Absicherung gegen geopolitische Risiken, Schulden, Inflation und mögliche Schwächen klassischer Anlageklassen ein.Die meisten Anlegerinnen und Anleger kaufen Rohstoffe nicht physisch. This week was a recap of our trip to Tokyo to visit our daughter who's studying abroad. It was an incredible time and a new perspective on the connection between the culture, government and city itself. The food was better than expected, people were so polite and the infrastructure supporting everything was clean, efficient and top of the line. I just got back from staying with Ben Snure and his family on the Texas Ranch he works on and it was an incredible time. West Texas is beautiful & wild with moments of terrifying desolation. The Snure family are incredibly resourceful, self reliant and fantastic. We ate extremely well, forged, drove around and I watched as Ben tended to the cattle. Then we went to the World Championship Blacksmith forging competition where we watched the best farriers in the world compete in a 3 day event that highlighted the most technical aspects of forging in the game. My daughter Lila is doing a semester abroad in Japan and she called in to talk about it. We talked about the famous lines at JFK, the Odyssey of getting to Japan and how she's settling in. Justin Modica of Modica Knives is a resourceful young man.  After a childhood traveling as a professional skateboarder he started a small family business and transitioned into being a great knife maker.
