Joined by our friend Michelle Iannantuono we peak behind the curtain on the fleshy state sponsored body modification talent show, what makes a true rock opera, serial killer finding work as an organ harvester and Paris Hilton being inspired during her hard time. Don't pull your eyes out Blind Mag, you won't want to miss a second of this flick. Synopsis: A worldwide epidemic encourages a biotech company to launch an organ-financing program similar in nature to a standard car loan. The repossession clause is a killer, however. I had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Jeremy Rudd about his new movie, "Die'ced" (2023) which is about a teenage girl determined to discover what happened to her missing mom finds herself face to face with a deranged serial killer that was mistakenly released from an insane asylum on Halloween night. Starring Eden Campbell from "The Mortuary Collection" and "Fear Street, Part 2." And with Jason Brooks a name you should all recognize from the fan-favorite crowd funded Friday the 13th fan films. - - - Die'ced is available to rent on Amazon Plus. Furthermore, he is starring in a movie "The Fetus" alongside Lauren LaVera and Bill Mosely. Which is about a couple struggle to learn the truth about the origins of their unborn child-- a demonic entity that emerges from the body. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/southjerseyhorror/message
When you're as ultra-conservative as the lads at 100 Horrors are, all bongs are evil. Weed. Marijuana. Pot. Mary Jane. Call it what you like, we still call it The Devil's Lettuce and will do until we go to our hardline Christian graves... Nah, smoke em if you got em, just not to the point where you don't realise your friend has died and is sat bloating on the sofa in the living room like the guys in Charles Brand's Evil Bong do. Released in 2006, it's surprising how many people consider this one a staple in the stoner horror diet. Part Pineapple Express, part Basket Case, Evil Bong combines the worst in both the horror and comedy genre and gives you a generous scoop of female nudity in the process. With cheeky cameos from Tommy Chong, Brandi Cunningham and Bill Mosely of House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects and Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 fame, Evil Bong is entertaining to say the least, but does that mean it's actually any good? You'll just have to tune in to find out duuuuude.

Hardcore film fanatics probably already know the name Sono Sion from his many works in Japan where he's been hailed as “one of the most idiosyncratic artists of his generation.” From films such as “Suicide Club” to “Love Exposure,” Sion had a reputation for grotesque violence, extreme eroticism, surreal images and complex narratives. In 2018, Sion planned his first overseas production with an English language film that would star Nicolas Cage, who described the project as “the wildest movie I've ever made.” The original script for the film was actually written as a more straight forward action film but Sion had to add his own personal touches, which the director says “added a little bit of weirdness.” The film is set against a dystopian society ruled over by a ruthless Governor who sends Cage's character out into a nuclear wasteland to retrieve his granddaughter, which is a code name for one of his sex slaves. In the latest episode of Rewind of the Living Dead, we're going to check the explosives strapped to our bodies and grab a samurai sword as we review the 2021 sci-fi fever dream known as “Prisoners of the Ghostland”….
Tony the Tiger a.k.a. The Thunder from Down Under joins me for an acquired taste this week on The Blind Rage Podcast. I'd call SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT 3 a polarizing little Christmas slasher, but I think a hell of a lot more fans hate it than love it. Me, I'm somewhere in between. Yes, it's a bad movie, but I can't help but feel for final girl Laura (Samantha Scully). And it's always great to see the incredible Bill Mosely (even if it's in another shitty Rob Zombie movie). --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/blindragepod/message

Strap in for a wild ride and enjoy our conversation!
Get ready for the (mildly) crazy, it's the Prisoners of the Ghostland review! It was a match made in movie Heaven. Sion Sono, the auteur behind Suicide Club and Exte and the underappreciated Tag teaming up with Nicolas Cage, an actor who embodies a peculiar bravado. Pepper that cinematic meal with Bill Mosely and Sophia Boutella and you have all the makings of a cult classic. While I'm not certain that Prisoners of the Ghostland can achieve a lofty cult status, it is a sight to behold. The story is simple. Cage, playing the archetypical Man with No name, is a convict imprisoned after a bank robbery gone bad. Following the escape by a group of women, Cage is charged with braving the apocalyptic landscape known as the Ghostland to bring one of them home. The man behind the mission is a white-clad ruler known as The Governor, played by Bill Mosely with typical gusto. And that's it. Get the girl, bring her home. What distinguishes Prisoners of the Ghostland is the man behind the lens, Sion Sono. The script borrows heavily from Escape from New York and The Road Warrior, coupling Cage's quest with a leather suit rigged to [...]

In Search of Darkness is an upcoming horror documentary that comprehensively tells the story of 80's horror, in all of it's bloody, nostalgic glory. Having completed a successful Kickstarter campaign that surpassed it's goal on day 2, director David Weiner is currently raising finishing funds for the film on Indiegogo, and horror fans couldn't be more excited. In the midst of all of this rampant nostalgia for all things 80's, In Search of Darkness celebrates the most iconic decade in horror history, and features interviews with such people as: Jeffrey Combs, Stuart Gordon, Brian Yuzna, Joe Bob Briggs, Mick Garris, Larry Cohen, Leigh Whannell, Joe Dante, Barbara Crampton, Heather Langenkamp, Dee Wallace, Keith David, Greg Nicotero, Bill Mosely, Kane Hodder, Sean Cunningham, Tom Holland, and many many more. This is going to be incredible. Go to 80shorrordoc.com to donate to their Indiegogo campaign today, and hurry because the campaign closes on March 30th. I enjoyed talking to David a lot, he's a very passionate and knowledgeable filmmaker - we dove deep into the documentary and did a whole bunch of geeking out about 80's movies. Here is, David Weiner, director of In Search of Darkness, the Definitive 80s Horror Documentary.

Greetings boils and ghouls, and welcome back to Horror Business, the podcast that’s as hot as love. We have jam packed slam bang of an episode for this week and we know you’re gonna love it. This episode we did a retrospective of the first three Phantasm films, and were joined by Josh Alvarez of Cinepunx to help us dissect this classic franchise. In addition to Josh being on Horror Business to talk about the first three movies, we’re actually going to carry the conversation over to Cinepunx later this week to discuss the final two films in the Phantasm franchise. I told you we had a treat for you guys. We begin by talking about what we’ve seen or done recently in the realm of horror. We talk about the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival, Monster Mania Con, Josh seeing Halloween III for the first time, and Josh having a semi run in with the great Bill Mosely in Texas. Naturally we begin with the first Phantasm film. We discuss our first encounter with the film, how we’ve come to appreciate it, the very unique narrative and style of the film, and how it remains unlike anything else to this day. Of note we focus on the performance of Angus Scrimm as the Tall Man and the films inconsistent narrative as virtue to keep the viewer unsettled. The second film in the franchise is discussed next. Amongst other things we talk about the uneven tone of the movie in that it seems to be back and forth between horror and action, the film suffering from the shortcomings of both late 80s action and late 80s horror, Reggie’s weird libido, and the unnecessary opening sequence. Next we tackle the third film in the franchise. We talk about the continuing feeling of ‘is this a dream?’ throughout these movies, Coscarelli’s tendency to be a bit ‘on the nose’ about everything, the unevenness of tone yet again in this film, Reggie’s continuing tendency to push the boundaries between decent and indecent when it comes to sex, and the future of the Phantasm franchise after this film. For the conclusion of our Phantasm retrospective check out the upcoming episode of Cinepunx at www.cinepunx.com. Follow them on twitter and Instagram at @cinepunx. As always thanks to everyone and anyone who checked this episode out, or shared a tweet/shared a post on FB/gave us love by recommending us to someone. Thanks to Josh not only for the theme song but also for being gracious enough to appear on this episode and record it at his house. We love you forever for listening. Any questions, comments, suggestions for movies and guests, or if you yourself want to join us for a movie viewing or even an episode, can be sent to thehorrorbiz@gmail.com. Huge thanks to Jeff Thibault for getting us the Robert Englund and Bill Moseley bumpers. Thanks to those two as well for recording the bumpers. Thanks always to Justin Miller and Doug Tilley for their technical contributions, Mike Smaczylo for the awesome fliers, and also once again thanks to Josh “Bad Larry” Alvarez for the theme song, Follow us on Twitter at @thehorrorbiz666, like us on Facebook, and remember to rate, review, and subscribe to us on ITunes! Happy Halloween! The post HORROR BUSINESS Episode 12: A Phantasm Retrospective appeared first on Cinepunx.
This week we watched Almost Mercy, a movie that brought back a few memories of our high school days. Among the cast of Almost Mercy are a couple horror legends, Bill Mosely and Kane Hodder. Jackson and Emily aren't like the other kids. Two burgeoning sociopaths on the brink of total meltdown. Ticking time bombs seeking revenge. Who will unravel first?
Old 37 - Two brothers intercept 911 calls in a beat up old ambulance to exact revenge on a group of careless teen drivers in a small North Eastern town. For more info about the movie check out @ www.old37themovie.com Paul Travers - Writer, producer, director from Massachusetts living in Manhattan
We look at two Rob Zombie classics, House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects in this episode of the Really Awful Movies Podcast. Zombie is a polarizing figure, and some of his later work has been underwhelming. Still, the man knows his horror and showed some incredible talent with these two films. On the show, we talk about how House of 1000 Corpses is a bit of an unofficial sequel to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. They have a very similar aesthetic sensibility. It has a lot of detractors, people who say it's a self-indulgent music video-style production, but it's really incredible in our estimation. Discussion also focuses on how the Marx brothers vaudeville comedy troupe influenced the character names. Also, our talk focuses on the cast: genre legend Sid Haig, who's been in Foxy Brown, House on Haunted Hill and The Big Bird Cage; and Karen Black who starred in Easy Rider and Nashville. And many don't know that Rainn Wilson (aka Dwight from American version of The Office) was in House of 1000 Corpses. Zombie's wife, Sheri Moon and the absolutely incomparable Bill Mosely discussed as well. The Devil's Rejects is way more vicious. The film features an incredible performance by William Forsythe (who played murderer John Wayne Gacy in another film, as well as a bad bad biker in Stone Cold, starring Brian Bosworth). He portrays a psychopathic cop here who's nearly as nuts as the murdering family. Bill Mosely undergoes a big physical transformation and there's a tonal shift between his performance in House VS Devil's.
