Born in Lubbock, Texas, Andy Eppler's love of music began while watching his mother sing in church. Having been diagnosed with AD/HD, Andy had to work hard to overcome the challenges posed by traditional schooling, but he ultimately learned how to work in solitude on various projects, and once he graduated from South Plains College with a commercial music degree, there was no stopping him.Andy Eppler has been as prolific as an artist can be, having authored many songs, books, art pieces and films. In 2022, Texas Tech University announced a new Andy Eppler Collection to be added to their University Archives alongside other artists such as Waylon Jennings, Buddy Holly and Natalie Maines. He considers the most meaningful waypoints in his career to be associated with political activism, cultural change and community outcomes. His goal isn't to become famous, but to become meaningful. He hopes his passion can be fertilizer for other artists who want to grow their hearts. He wants his life to be measured in inspiration. Hour 1 Mets GM Billy Eppler resigned yesterday, giving David Stearns a clean slate. Gio said Steve Cohen's hires have been bad since he got here. Gio also said Mets fans who think the Steve Cohen era has been great are kidding themselves. This will be the third manager and fourth GM since Cohen bought the team. Not to mention his Max Scherzer/Justin Verlander debacle. Gio is getting a feeling that ‘Mr Dweeb' is going to come in here and trade Pete Alonso. Are the Mets going to actually try to win next year? Jerry is here for his first update but first we talked more about the dysfunctional Mets and the Eppler situation. The Bears beat the Commanders 40-20 and Jerry had a few of the Justin Fields TDs. DJ Moore had a huge night for the Bears. Dick Butkus passed away at age 80. Wink Martindale is losing sleep thinking of defending the Dolphins. We also talked about Jerry getting up in the middle of the night to pee. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer is pissed that everything in the refrigerator is actually frozen, especially his almond milk.  Hour 2 Taylor Swift's people had the NFL run trailers for her movie for free because of all the publicity she's bringing to the NFL. What will be the big story on Monday morning? We've been wrong before, so what will be the surprise this time? What will be the story in the Giants/Dolphins game and the Jets/Broncos game? In the final segment of the hour, Gio brought up a few ‘fishy' lines in the NFL this week.  Hour 3 The Jets are in Denver this week and Boomer thinks it's a winnable spot for the Jets. Gio doesn't think the Broncos are any good and thinks Russell Wilson is past his prime. The best unit in that game is the Jets defense and getting turnovers would be huge to get the Jets a win. A caller can't believe Julius Randle is wearing Skechers sneakers this season. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Bears beating the Commanders for the first win in 14 games. Jerry has audio from ‘bad Tiki'. The Giants special teams have been brutal. Wink Martindale talked about the speed of the Dolphins. Jerry Jones had a near death experience as a young man. Travis Kelce's mom was on a podcast and said the ‘NFL is laughing all the way to the bank'. In the final segment of the hour, the best game of the weekend is the Cowboys in San Francisco. Boomer thinks Dak Prescott is a top 10 quarterback and a very solid player. This game will have 2 great defenses and 2 great offenses. Boomer sees a 24-20 game.  Hour 4 We wondered if Patrick Mahomes dad likes Jackson Mahomes the same amount as Patrick. A caller thinks the Chiefs have become as unlikeable as the Patriots were. Pretty soon fans will be turning on Patrick Mahomes like they did to Tom Brady. Jerry returns for his final update and starts with Boomer getting hammered by the Steelers in 1987. Dick Butkus passed away at the age of 80. He played when football was football. The Bears beat the Commanders 40-20 including 4 TDs for Justin Fields. Nathaniel Hackett talked about going back to Denver. He said he has not heard from Sean Payton after his comments about him. Breece Hall has a new cereal and Quinnen Williams loves it. Wink Martindale has been having a hard time sleeping knowing he's going up against the Dolphins this week. Moment of The Day involves Boomer's frozen almond milk. Aaron Boone makes some nice excuses for the lack of hitting. A discussion comes up about why one would want to vacation in a hot place in August.
