If you're a dad in need of a good cry, consider this your warning: Luke Combs' album Fathers & Sons hits hard. In this episode, the Country Music Dads give a full, unfiltered review of Fathers & Sons because, honestly, it was inevitable. The Dads weigh in on the best and worst songs and the overall impact of this album on country music, modern fatherhood and their emotional state of mind. Plus: Dave goes full throttle in an impassioned “Minivan Rant” and tries to change Donnie's mind once and for all.Show Notes03:11: First Reactions to the Album as a Whole: After Donnie recovers from "snot-bubble crying" during his passive listen, we discuss the songwriting quality, sincerity of the lyrics in a "songwriting-by-committee" approach and how "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" doesn't seem to fit (even though it is very sad).14:01: The Dad Life Sound Check: Donnie is a better parent thanks to "Huntin' By Yourself" (even though he doesn't hunt), and Dave finds a pillar of his parenting philosophy in "Whoever You Turn Out to Be."25:06: The Best Tracks from the Album: The Dads share more of their favorites, including "Front Door Famous" and "The Man He Sees in Me," and how those songs inspire us to live up to the higher expectations that modern dads rightfully (and finally) are measured against.32:36: The Worst Tracks from the Album: The Dads discuss the songs, like "All I Ever Do is Leave" and "Little Country Boys," that seem more like filler material to get an LP out of this concept album.36:00: "Fathers and Sons" Album Rating: The Dads wrap up the album review by rating "Fathers and Sons" on a scale of 1-5.37:50: Change My Mind About Minivans: Dave launches into an impassioned and memorable "Minivan Rant" to change Donnie's mind about the classic and highly versatile “FUV,” the family utility vehicle.Thank you for listening. Send us a textIn this podcast episode Tony uncovers what it is like to be in solitude which is totally different than what it is to be alone. There is something that connects us to people when we are more dependent on others and when they are not there we feel more alone. Is this true? Have we as a society have become or better said have been trained to become dependent on what others think of us and we value their opinion of us? Tony gives several examples of how children are more likely to be dependent on others when they are bored. Why is it such a bad thing that our kids are inactivate and we have to "entertain them" so they are doing something? Christian Professionals of Atlanta Ana Megrelishvili Networking in business is so important, more important than some people realize. If you are trying to run a business by yourself, making decisions by yourself, planning everything by yourself, creating marketing plans by yourself – you are BY YOURSELF. But, when you can network with other professionals, you can “pick their brains” (so to speak) and bounce ideas of those who have gone before you in the battles you are now facing. You can talk about problems you are facing, hurdles you've encountered. You can bounce ideas of others. Some may even pitch in and help you accomplish your goals, etc. With Christians, it is especially important. Not only are you in business, but you are living out your values (at least you should be). That can create all sorts of additional pressures that most secular minded businesses are not really concerned with – but you are! What if you could network with business professionals who are also living Christian values, reflecting Christian values and advocating Christian values in their businesses? That would be WIN-WIN-WIN and WIN – amen! Our guest today is the founder of an organization called, “Christian Professionals of Atlanta.” Ana Megrelishvili is here to share information about this organization whose mission is to bring together Christian professionals in the Atlanta, GA area and help them to develop meaningful relationships through common faith, values and philanthropy. Amen! This organization goes out of its way to achieve a positive impact on the community service to others. Ana also helps adults find their own path to positive change through her own coaching business, “Find Courage to Change.” Amen! Ana is also the author of a great book, “Finding Courage to Change.” Help me welcome to the program, Ana Megrelishvili. Ana, it is such a blessing to have on the program today, I appreciate your time! First question I always start with is this. Other than that brief information I just shared, can you tell us in your own words, “Who is Ana Megrelishvili?” What kind of obstacles have you run into while trying to grow your organization? Can you tell us what types of events and things like that do you hold? I noticed on the website that you do have speakers come in. These are professionals and non-profits from the Atlanta area? Share with us about your coaching business… what do you offer? Is this only available to those in the Atlanta area, or can someone work with you remotely? Share about your book, “Finding Courage to Change.” Why did you write this book? What would be the number one take-away someone reading your book will receive? Ana, this has been so interesting. If someone is in the Atlanta area and would like to get more information on joining the Christian Professionals of Atlanta, how can they do that? How can someone obtain more information? If someone wanted to get more information on

WITCHCRAFT: MUDDY SPIRITUAL WATERS…Because YOUR SO CLOSE! I purposefully DO NOT teach on these REVS- but instead give prophetic oversight for Intercessor so that YOU can then go and get the needed freedom IF YOU SO CHOOSE. Notice I said: “IF YOU CHOOSE” so your future is all up to you to participate in if you get freedom to come up higher above the witchcraft that God had me tell you would confine you if you CHOSE NOT TO!BUT AGAIN- I cannot- and WILL NOT walk your walk for you- nor should you expect ANY leader to. Its not our responsibility because at the end of your life I will NOT be standing in front of Christ with you, but BY MYSELF, like you will be doing. You will standing BY YOURSELF answering for what YOU CHOSE to do and NOT DO! Hence- I'm off the hook for any responsibility for your life when its all yours….to do with it as you like while your in the earth. Afterwards- that's a different ballgame. But I believe that God is helping those who proclaim to be a part of the body of Christ to better understand that they'd better get off their duffs and start getting cleaned up if they want to be included. Because you can't claim to be a part of something/or a body if you don't participate! Meaning: ANY group that you join doesn't like NOR DO THEY TOLERATE ROGUE AGENTS! SO – aligning with our CEO (GOD/JESUS/HOLY GHOST) guess what we get to do? We get to learn to OBEY- TRUST AND OBEY a good Father because he knows how to get you into safety LITTLE SHEEPIE- but the problem is is that most of the body of Christ have become control freaks demanding to be in control of their own destiny. When only God knows how to get you there – NOT YOU! And at this leg of the journey time is getting late and Gods is looking for sheep to participate and actually PRACTICE BIBLE! WHAT A NOVEL IDEA! To actually become who we say we are, which takes me back to my first statement: YOU CANNOT say you are part of a body/or a group if YOU ARE DOING YOUR OWN THING! THAT MEANS YOU are serving another king! ANOTHER KINGDOM- which means you are NOT part of Gods Kingdom! Because when we get free we don't want to sin any longer! We just want to please the Lord. And hang out with Him and those He adores until He places us on assignment which opens up different heavenly doors. But that's only after we have proved our faithfulness in the part of kingdom God has entrusted to us. Support the show

Some books move our minds. Some books carry our souls. The Happiest Man on Earth by Eddie Jaku is one that not just moves your mind, but also your soul! Being in Concentration camps for 7 plus years and surviving Holocaust, He lost everything. Family, Friends, Home, Land, and Life. But one thing he carried along with him was Hope. And that gave him a new life. The Happiest Man on Earth is not a story of a Man who rebuilds his life, but a portrayal of how Hope and a Real Friend can give you an entirely new life. This book doesn't teach you secrets to being happy, but how life can be lived and happiness can be found, By Yourself. Eddie Jaku decided he will make Make everyone happy in life with what he learned from those 7 years of waiting for death every second, minute, day, and week. He wrote this masterpiece of a book when he turned 100 and this is a must-read. Frankly speaking, One of the best books I ever read and definitely the best I read in 2022. For more, head over to: www.franexcell.com/ Ebbs And Flows Are Totally Natural Ebbs and flows are totally natural and to be expected in both life and business. Too many people are walking around expecting to have all the answers and always know what they're doing, why they're doing it, to always have the perfect mindset, to always love what they're doing and it's just not achievable or realistic. So much of the ‘mindset work' is less about feeling or being positive all the time but more about how you handle the harder times. The darker times. There are too many people telling you, or ‘selling' you, an ideal that's not realistic or sustainable. An ideal that directly denies your humanity. And it has to stop. You know I'm always here to give you the unsexy truth, but always with a dose of hopeful realism that should lead to oodles of self compassion and the ability to quieten that nasty little voice inside your head. Life is about the ups and downs. Business has ups and downs. There will be times when you feel super aligned and on fire and there are times you will question EVERYTHING and realise you need a course correct! Both are positive, believe it or not. The ebbs may not feel great at the time, and they may come with uncomfortable truths, but they are course correctors. Too many people are telling you things are a ‘mindset issue' when in fact they might actually be a values issue. They might be an honesty issue. They might be a ‘directly conflicting with my personality' issue. All should be respected and listened to. I never ever want any of my listeners to believe I have it together ALL the time. I don't. If anyone tells you they have, I'd run a mile. You deserve more than being fed an unrealistic expectation to try to live up to. I have my ebbs and flows too. Of course I do. I've had several this year in different aspects of my life. I naturally question everything and sometimes I realise things that are a totally inconvenient truth and it's hard but necessary in the quest for living the life you truly want to. It's part and parcel of being a human and it's NOT a bad or negative thing. It's just not. You're just buying into a lie that you've been told your whole life about how you ‘should' be to be a good human. By society, parents, friends, movies, marketers trying to sell you stuff. You are not infallible, you're absolutely supposed to feel the whole human spectrum of emotion. Life is about polarity. Light and dark. Right and wrong. Good and bad. Positive and negative. Without its polarity you don't experience the best bits in the same way. You wouldn't experience gratitude in the same way. You wouldn't get to grow and evolve. The ebbs are not only course correctors but they are messengers. It may take some time to figure it all out and that's ok. It's about digging into what it's trying to tell you or lead you towards or lead you away from. Are you trying to repeat a familiar pattern? Did you catch yourself trying to have a replay of a past experience from when you were younger and trying to have a different outcome but inadvertently getting yourself into a place that's a massive contradiction to your values? (If that felt close to the bone that's because it is and something that I've recently dealt with, i'm sure i'll do a podcast episode on that soon ha!) These things are going to happen in our businesses. I believe it's a really important part of our evolution. We age, grow, our priorities shift, we realise things that we thought we wanted we don't, or even that we thought that we didn't want and realise we do. The trouble is what external influences try to make this mean for you. No one can tell you what it means but you! Something that is a huge issue in the online industry that I see causing a lot of these ebbs is this whole six figure business owner thing and I'm always trying to debunk it. It causes ebbs because people might look at their income and feel like their business is ‘not working' or that they aren't ‘good enough' because they're not at the six figures yet. But a far more insidious reason is because if you ARE at a certain level, whether it's six, multi six etc and you realise you might not actually be happy or you're hugely over worked and you want to take it slower, or your priorities shift, because you have that label you feel like you can't step back or walk away from income because you'd lose that label and perhaps get rejected from the ‘club'. It's a big issue and we have to become conscious of this. If the money and the label are your number one driving force it's always going to cause ebbs because you won't listen to your intuition or your gut, you'll ignore feelings and try to push them away and you'll stay doing something that isn't making you happy because you simply can't lose that label because that's how you're validation yourself and allowing others to validate you. But isn't that worse than being in a job in the first place? Haven't you created yourself even more painful shackles? It also belittles all the incredible businesses that are out there that fall under that imaginary threshold of acceptance and I'm not here for it. I really want this to sink in today, I know I keep banging this drum but I won't stop because it's so important to me. There are too many amazing people out there giving up on their dreams because of it. So much nuance is left out of the marketing that's targeted towards business owners that is intentionally there to leave you in a state of not feeling good enough so you'll buy more. It's preying on and directly CAUSING insecurities. The biggest one is around this six figure thing. Totally achievable over time but it might not actually be what you want. It also causes you to feel not good enough until you get there. It just sounds oh so shiny. A huge amount of people wouldn't get to six figures in a job if they decided to go back to work. I'm never going to be one of those people that bashes corporate jobs because I loved doing both. I got curious the other day and looked up salaries in my old industry and if I went back there's no way I'd be earning what I'm earning in my business. Would you? It's a good sense check! So let's put even more context to this. According to HMRC the national UK average salary at the start of 2022 was £24,600, the average full time salary was £31k. Let that sink in. So if you make £25,000 in your business BY YOURSELF, with no one else to answer to but you. Flexibility to work the days and hours you want to around your other commitments and passions. Not needing to ask to take a day off. You've earned more than the national average salary. In my eyes that makes you a flipping rock star and it's something to be hugely proud of. There are a huge amount of businesses that only want or need a certain amount that could be way under the six figure threshold. I LOVE working with them. They're clear on what they want and not buying into the hype. That doesn't always mean they're playing ‘small' as much as some marketers would like you to think. There's so much judgement around, we need to start being our own judges from our own truth and our own minds. Internal validation. Of course you can aim as high as you want, and it's so possible, but my point here is that whatever your goal is it's so so valid. And might actually be a lot easier and take less time than you think if you stopped beating yourself up. I work with clients right at the start of their journey all the way up to multiple seven figures. The thoughts are very similar and a huge amount of it is always tied up in attaching your worth to your income. So say you hit the elusive six figures…But you realise you're really unhappy. Does that mean you just have to stay doing what you're doing so you can keep the income label? Does that mean you can't pivot, or say no to something that's not right for you anymore? That just doesn't make sense in the grand scheme of why so many people start their businesses in the first place, to be happy, to love what you do. If you have an ebb, does that always mean there's something wrong with you? That you have a mindset issue? That you aren't good enough? Of course it doesn't. All it means is it's worth taking the time to get curious and investigate the thoughts and feelings that are going on for you. Then be brave and do the right thing for you. Don't ever let what someone else might think keep you in a place you don't want to be. Who told you that because you love something today, you then have to love it for the rest of your life? That's not a healthy or realistic expectation to put on yourself and if you obey it, denies you so many other possibilities that may be better for you. If you actually look at the stories of some of the biggest entrepreneurs in this online space you'll see that most of them pivoted. In big ways. Most of their businesses now are VERY different from how they started. They followed the passion. They were brave enough to say ‘that doesn't work for me anymore so I'm going to make a change'. THAT'S the mindset work. The bravery to do what's right for you despite what other people might say or think. Being able to walk away from potential cash and opportunities because it's not right for you anymore. THAT'S the work. Courage, bravery, self compassion, confidence, honesty about what you REALLY want, even if what you see isn't convenient. We have to stop looking at certain emotions as negative. We have to start listening and being curious about what these ebbs are telling us. It could be as simple as needing a break. It could be that you are actually at a point where you want or need to pivot in your life or your business because something just isn't right for you anymore. No one gets to judge you for that and it certainly doesn't make you ‘less than' if that requires a step back to take a step forward, which might mean a drop in income. If things are happening in or around your business, or in your life, that fundamentally don't make you happy or really push your values buttons you need to look at that and be brave enough to take a step back. Whether that's stepping back from income, people, industries, relationships, opportunities it doesn't matter. What matters is your happiness. It may take you a hot minute to figure it all out and that's ok. I'll be there in the trenches with you. Ebbs and flows are a natural part of life and you deserve to be happy. Inside and out. What other people think is not your concern. Be brave, you've got this. Fx
President Ronald Reagan (1911-2004). The 40th President of the United States of America said, 'SURROUND yourself WITH the BEST PEOPLE you can FIND, delegate AUTHORITY, and DON'T interfere.' Yet in our EAGERNESS to PLEASE God we take on RESPONSIBILITIES that are 'too heavy...to handle...by [ourselves].' Moses was SPENDING every waking minute LISTENING to COMPLAINTS from long LINES of people. Finally his father-in-law said, 'You are going to wear yourself out- and the people, too,' and advised him to appoint capable leaders to 'help...carry the load' (v.22). lt was a win-win solution; the PEOPLE got help FASTER, and Moses BECAME a better LEADER. One Bible teacher writes: 'One of our GREATEST challenges...is DETERMINING what God DOESN'T want US to do! We LOVE God, we LOVE His people, and we SEE many NEEDS. But sometimes good INTENTIONS cause more HARM than GOOD...When you BECOME AWARE of a NEED, don't AUTOMATICALLY assume God WANTS you to MEET it. The only REASON to perform MINISTRY is when God CLEARLY tells YOU it's His will. If you are OVERWHELMED...you are PROBABLY doing MORE than God asked. Pray ABOUT the ASSIGNMENTS you TAKE on, so you DON'T rob YOURSELF and OTHERS of God's best.' Jon Walker, an American musician adds: 'lmagine if God created you to be the Michelangelo(1475-1564) an Italian sculptor, painter, architect and poet) of this AGE but you STAYED so busy DOING all kinds of things-good things- that you NEVER got AROUND to painting and sculpting. You did END up MISSING the best BECAUSE you got DISTRACTED chasing the GOOD. Welcome to the first part of what we will call The Ability Series. This is a project BJ decided to create to have some very hard discussions with men…in terms of account ability (the first ability we are touching). Here is where we have conversations with men about things we weren’t fortunate enough to have as young boys…to correct the boyish behaviors some of us men are still displaying. But it’s no judgement…simply because we all have it honestly.Today's conversation is titled One Or The Other. This is a discussing of discernment and critical thinking. We as men need to know how to adjust to the changes that effect our lives and decisions. And in order to do that, we need need to emphasize to one another the importance of family, partnership, and values.Today's guest is Shon Hyneman, a friend and brother who discusses these things regularly. He is an advocate of relationship redemption and development. Shon knows a thing or two about having to start over with residual responsibility to the previous spouse. How he conducted himself is prime example of how he manages a successful marriage, for a second time. We break down a few variables...such as picking your family over your hustle. Deciding when to become a family man along with being the family provider. How to integrate yourself back into a home you spend a lot of time away from, dealing with man issues BY YOURSELF. There is so much we have to unlearn about being society's version of a man. Our partner's and children need us. And based on Shon's experiences, he gives very important tips on how to include your family in your responsibilities...because in the end, which would you rather have: Money or A Family??? It comes a time where a man has to make a choice.Listen to Part 1 of The Ability Series...brought to you by Change The Subject!!!

When should you use the word ‘the’ in English? Today, in #1 of the Top 15 Fixes series, we discuss the most common article in the English language, ‘the’! Come back to our site Taking IELTS? Get our free IELTS video training now Use if the word ‘the’ can be a confusing. But there are some rules that can help you get it right most of the time. The first requires that you consider whether the focus is on something specific, or something more general. When focused on specific items, use ‘the’. If you’re sitting at a table, talking about the food that is actually in front of you, you might say: “Do you like the turkey?” “Yes, the turkey is great!” “Could you please pass the salt?” When focused on more general terms, you don’t use ‘the’. If you’re discussing food in general, you might say: “Do you like turkey?” “Have you tried pumpkin pie?” “Cranberries are too tart for me.” Geographical terms can also be tricky for ‘the’. In most cases, large, well-known geographic places will have ‘the': the content, the Pacific Ocean, the moon. With specific countries, a country’s formal name might require ‘the,’ while a less formal name might not: the United States, the Russian Federation; America, Russia. Do you say By Yourself or On Your Own in English? Come back to allearsenglish.com/217 for more help! Today, in #2 of our Top 15 Fixes series, we discuss these two phrases and how to use them when you’re doing something alone! Taking IELTS? Get our free IELTS video training course now By yourself and on your own are two phrases that may look different, but their meanings are essentially identical. Both are used to say that you’ve done something alone, rather than with others. Even though their meaning is the same, you want to be careful that you don’t mix up the prepositions between these phrases. The best way to avoid that is to learn each one as a chunk. And the best way to do that is to practice! Other Entries in the 15 Fixes Series: Episode 165: Listen or Hear? Episode 169: Speak, Talk, Tell and Say?
