Rather than letting the diagnosis shake his faith, Shane explains how the Lord has drawn him into deeper dependence on His sovereignty, reminding him that God's grace is given one day at a time. The discussion explores how trials reveal what believers truly trust and why resting in God's character brings peace when the future feels uncertain. The guys discuss difficult decisions that often accompany serious illness. Shane shares how he sought the Lord while weighing treatment options, emphasizing that believers should neither act out of fear nor place their hope in medicine itself. Instead, the guys encourage listeners to pursue wisdom, remembering that healing ultimately comes from God. Throughout the discussion, Shane returns to a simple truth that carried him through the diagnosis: God's sovereignty is the believer's sanity, providing stability even when circumstances remain unresolved.Spiritual fruit often grows from suffering. In John 16, we see Jesus trying to describe his relationship with the Father. He's preparing his disciples for what is about to happen, trying to help them see, but they struggle to understand. So let me ask you, as I ask myself: Do you really believe, or are you running and hiding? Have we learned to hear and receive his word—"Take heart! I have overcome the world"? Let's not run or hide but walk with him, through all of our troubles, knowing he has the power to overcome and that he is always with us. That is my prayer for my own soul. It's a prayer I have for my family, for my wife, daughters, and son. And that is a prayer I have for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity.
