For the week of March 31 to April 6, 2025, on The Weekly Transit, Scott explores the theme of "Compassion, Courage, and Kindness" with eight transits highlighted by the Half Moon in Cancer. After last week's intensity with Neptune entering Aries and the New Moon Solar Eclipse, this week offers a chance to acclimate to these powerful energies.Scott discusses how planets in Pisces and Aries create a metaphorical "boiling" effect that brings fears to consciousness for healing. Overcoming Adversity: Her journey exemplifies resilience and determination, showing how education and a supportive network can break the cycle of poverty and abuse. Purpose and Calling: Ana's experience underscores the importance of seeking one's purpose, suggesting that prayer and reflection can reveal one's calling, even in unexpected ways. Community Impact: Her work with the Christian Professionals Network Worldwide illustrates how individuals can effect change by addressing both physical and relational poverty, emphasizing the importance of holistic support systems. Hope and Redemption: Ana's story is a testament to God's redemption and the idea that no matter how dire one's circumstances, there is potential for a better future through faith and perseverance. Podcast Intro: Ana Megrelishvili shares her incredible journey from a painful childhood marked by poverty and abuse to finding hope and purpose through faith and community. As a child, Ana faced severe hardships, including hunger and isolation, exacerbated by an abusive alcoholic father. Despite these challenges, she experienced a pivotal moment at 12 or 13 when she felt a profound sense of purpose, after receiving a word of encouragement from God. She shares that she didn't realize it was God at the time but this experience stayed with her even to this day with great detail and vividness. As her story unfolds, you'll see that God was speaking about His plans for her life. Her path to transformation began with a life-changing opportunity to study in the United States as an exchange student, which exposed her to a loving and supportive Christian family. She discovered a way to return to the US via a college scholarship and in her second host family the father was a Christian pastor. These families modeled the heart of God and her experiences planted the seeds of faith, even though she initially resisted religious beliefs. It's so like God to always be creating opportunities for us to know Him if we choose to engage Him, isn't it? She graduates with a degree in business and immediately jumps in to the lucrative career of sales. And she's successful. After building a solid career in sales complete with the various accolades and achieving all of her personal goals such as buying the condo in the beautiful high-rise, having it tailored to her specific taste, driving the fancy car and wearing the beautiful clothes. Yet Ana felt unfulfilled and empty despite achieving her American dream. She knew there had to be more to life and so she begins to question God. God visits again and speaks to her. She responds to what He says and makes the most of trying to follow what she heard. In her obedience she's brought to tears, weeping because of an unexpected gesture from a homeless woman. In that moment a spiritual awakening ignited a genuine desire to pursue the heart of God and discover what her purpose in life was supposed to be. As Ana shares her journey you'll notice the golden thread that God was weaving throughout her life and continues to do so to this day. As she pursued God's heart, laid down all the material things she had collected He brought her full circle and she shares that she's never been more joy filled in all of her life. She now dedicates herself to addressing relational poverty through her global ministry, the Christian Professionals Network Worldwide, an initiative that aims to eradicate homelessness by building supportive communities and providing mentorship to those in need. Let's listen in to discover how God used the very thing, poverty, abuse, .the very things that were supposed to destroy Ana and leave her void of her purpose. But because Ana responded to God, she's discovering what God had written on the pages of her life before even one of them came to be. God will lead us to do things that seem impossible. When we step out in obedience, in that obedience, we will always face opposition because the enemy wants to keep us from walking in obedience. In this, we will feel unequipped or qualified and like we don't have the ability to do what God has called us to do. Through the story of Jake and Diane Spengler, we see God's unconditional love and how He equips those He calls. Jake and Diane share their story of being foster parents and adopting their daughter. Looking at their story and Jonah's story in the Bible, we see that obedience is never to get something from God; obedience is a response to knowing God. Just as Jesus modeled, our compassion, pursuit, provision, and possession are what motivate us to be obedient. In the fourth and final part of our Beauty for Ashes series, listen to this sermon about how we can find the motivation to be obedient in response to God's unconditional love for us. In today's episode, we're deep into day 47 of our journey through the scriptures with our host, Hunter, at the helm. While Heather is fulfilling obligations at her other job, Hunter will guide us through a profound exploration of Leviticus chapters 26 and 27 and Acts 23. We'll delve into themes of covenant, obedience, and the consequences laid out in Leviticus, witnessing God's call for faithful stewardship and His promises of blessings or repercussions. As we transition to Acts, we find Paul amid trials and conspiracies, facing false accusations and threats. Despite the adversity, Paul's encounter with the Lord brings encouragement and strength, a testament to his unwavering faith. Hunter reminds us to seek and hold on to Jesus' presence during our own trials, offering prayers and reflections that nurture our spiritual growth. Join us as we explore these scriptures and find encouragement in God's ever-present love and grace. TODAY'S DEVOTION: Paul is suffering again. From the very beginning, from the very first moment he's knocked off his horse on the way to Damascus, he's told by none other than Jesus himself that there would be suffering in his life and that he would suffer much for Christ's sake. He would appear before kings, Gentile, and Jew alike. This would be his destiny, suffering. Over and over again, we see him suffering. But God didn't just say, you're going to suffer a lot, Paul, and then leave it at that. No. With this proclamation came a prescription. He was going to see Jesus with great clarity. In fact, we're told that scales came off of his eyes. He had a vision of Jesus. This clear vision of Jesus was to be the prescription for the suffering that he would encounter all through his life. Whether he was in jail or alongside those he loved, the prescription and the power was a vision of Jesus. Time and time again, the Lord renews Paul's vision by enabling him to see Jesus in the midst of his suffering. After being arrested, alone falsely accused, under threat of murder by a plot of assassins, in the midst of all this, the Lord appears to Paul. The word that Jesus speaks to Paul at that dark moment is be encouraged. Just as you have been a witness to me here in Jerusalem, you must preach the good news in Rome as well. Be encouraged. That's the word. Jesus shows up, and Paul sees him. And the prescription in this time of great threat and suffering is to be encouraged. Are you under threat? Are you suffering? Is this a dark night for you too? Have the pressures mounted? God will always offer you a vision of himself. Jesus says so. Hear his words right now, and be sure of this. I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Be encouraged. I'm with you. His purposes for your life will not fail. He's working out something of great significance of eternal weight and glory. Through this light and temporary afflictions, he's working something out in your life. So be encouraged. Look at him. His prescription for your suffering is a vision of himself. Hold on to that. He's there. He's present. He's with you right now. May your heart be encouraged, and may your eyes remain on him. That's the prayer that I have for my own soul. That's the prayer that I have for my family, for my wife, my daughters, my son. And that's the pair that I have for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose  through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen.   Oh God you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after you, and find you. Bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit on all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.   And now Lord,  make me an instrument of your peace.  Where there is hatred let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon.  Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope.  Where there is darkness, light.  And where there is sadness,  Joy.  Oh Lord grant that I might not seek to be consoled as to console. To be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love.  For it is in the giving that we receive, in the pardoning that we are pardoned, it is in the dying that we are born unto eternal life.  Amen And now as our Lord has taught us we are bold to pray... Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not unto temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Loving God, we give you thanks for restoring us in your image. And nourishing us with spiritual food, now send us forth as forgiven people, healed and renewed, that we may proclaim your love to the world, and continue in the risen life of Christ.  Amen.  OUR WEBSITE: www.dailyradiobible.com We are reading through the New Living Translation.   Leave us a voicemail HERE: https://www.speakpipe.com/dailyradiobible Subscribe to us at YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@Dailyradiobible/featured OTHER PODCASTS: Listen with Apple Podcast DAILY BIBLE FOR KIDS DAILY PSALMS DAILY PROVERBS DAILY LECTIONARY DAILY CHRONOLOGICAL

Back in the days when mega clubs like Exit and Tunnel ruled New York City's nightlife, I was just a college student trying to navigate the vibrant but costly world of music, art, and community. Those experiences taught me the power of networking, a skill that Bek Lover, our remarkable guest for this episode, has honed to perfection. Bek's journey from a finance career to podcasting stardom wasn't easy, but it was fueled by a deep appreciation for the resilience instilled in him as a first-generation Albanian American. Join us as Bek recounts how his family's resilience against oppressive regimes shaped his perspective on freedom and opportunity in America.   Our conversation with Bek takes a reflective detour into the realm of real estate and the need to prioritize local issues over international aid. We touch on the political climate in places like California and how emotional connections play a crucial role in both politics and sales. Bek shares invaluable insights on real estate investing, emphasizing strategies that avoid emotional attachment to property prices. Alongside, we explore the shifting dynamics of nightlife, where younger generations are redefining social habits by moving away from traditional alcohol-centric experiences.   As we continue, Bek opens up about his personal growth, focusing on the importance of leveraging networks for success and finding courage amidst fear. By turning personal pain into creative power, Bek's podcast has resonated with millions, inspiring stories of resilience and transformation. From the challenges of breaking away from unhealthy habits to the triumph of nurturing genuine connections, this episode is a heartfelt testament to embracing authentic paths. I am sharing a profound story that has shaped my life in unimaginable ways. This journey, from despair to hope, is one I hope will inspire you as deeply as it has transformed me. My story begins in Moscow, Russia. When I was seven, my father lost his job and turned to alcohol, leaving my mother, who was financially dependent on him, to fend for us. Hunger became a constant companion. At eight, I collected bottles to buy bread and even stole food from classmates. This trauma of constant hunger haunted me into adulthood, making me stock my pantry excessively. Did you know that in the US, 34 million people, including 9 million children, live in food-insecure households? At nine, I was hospitalized with tuberculosis due to malnutrition. For the first time, I felt safe, away from the chaos at home. Our struggles worsened when we moved outside Moscow. We lived in a cramped apartment with my aunt's family, facing eviction threats due to my father's debts. My grandmother saved us by selling her jewelry for plane tickets, preventing us from becoming homeless. At 20, I came to the US on a scholarship. I climbed the corporate ladder, acquiring wealth but feeling something was missing. Four years ago, I had a profound spiritual experience, leading me to feed the hungry in Atlanta. This encounter sparked my mission to help others. How to Open Up in Therapy: Finding Courage to Share & Heal

Ask Kati Anything!

This week licensed therapist, Kati Morton talks about therapy and how to get comfortable sharing with our therapist. She also discusses honesty in therapy, its importance, and how we can find the courage to share what we are going through. She then explains how to know when we need to see a therapist versus talking to our friends and family, and finally she digs into therapy ending, why it would happen and how we can cope with it. Ask Kati Anything ep. 240 | Your mental health podcast, with Kati Morton, LMFT Audience questions: 1. Hi Kati, what can therapists do to try to help their patients get comfortable enough to share about traumas they have never verbalized before to anyone (even themselves)? What tips do you have for therapists and what tips do you have for patients in that situation? 01:01 2. Do you have any advice for someone who is trying to open up/be honest in therapy but genuinely doesn't know how to say it? 10:45 3. I hope all is well with you. When should we seek support from a friend or family member as opposed to a therapist? I've had a couple of relevant diagnoses. First, I'm autistic, so understanding relationships can already be difficult. Second, I've been treated for borderline PD in the past. I mention this because when I'm in distress, it's often due to feeling abandoned because I haven't heard from my friends in a few days (or even a few hours). It feels inappropriate to reach out when the reason I'm feeling bad is that they've chosen not to reply yet... 12:26 4. How do I find the courage to talk about my OCD intrusive thoughts? The ones that make you question if you're really a good person or not. I'm really struggling and I want to talk about them but I'm so worried that once she learns about them she'll see me differently whether she shows it or not. 18:14 5. Hello! I'm currently in Appalachia which is an area most impacted by hurricane Helene. While I and my family are safe with minimal damage, so many people I love have lost so much or even everything. I've been in therapy for two years and have made significant progress, but with the recent tragedy, I feel as though I'm back at the beginning of processing trauma. I fear my therapist is going to decide I'm no longer worth the trouble because I've backtracked, and I'm afraid sharing that fear will only open the door for her to decide to share that she doesn't think she's helping me and we need to stop. For context, I have CPTSD and suffered some pretty significant emotional abuse and neglect as a child. I have a lot of fear of people leaving and often feel as though I'm... 20:40 6. How do I cope with my therapist eventually having to leave me when therapy ends? I feel like there is no way for it to happen without me being retraumatized. It makes me think there is literally no point to any of therapy. I'd rather have not gotten close to my therapist at all and I feel even more skeptical about getting close to other people now. I know there really isn't a good answer. Living just means constant loss. My mother died when I was a baby My dad didn't want me. I was taken in by family members and sexually abused throughout my whole childhood by their son. My single best friend of years moved away without a word. My sister moved away. Being born was a joke. Maybe this isn't really a question. 25:50 #podcast #psychology #katimorton PUBLISHED BOOKS Traumatized https://geni.us/Bfak0j Are u ok? https://geni.us/sva4iUY ONLINE THERAPY While I do not currently offer online therapy, BetterHelp can connect you with a licensed, online therapist: https://betterhelp.com/kati (enjoy 10% off your first month) SOCIAL X https://twitter.com/KatiMorton YouTube https://www.youtube.com/katimorton TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@katimortonInstagram https://www.instagram.com/katimorton Patreon https://www.katimorton.com/kati-morton-patreon/ Facebook https://www.facebook.com/katimorton1/ PARTNERSHIPS Linnea Toney linnea@underscoretalent.com --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/askkatianything/support
