Many of us are aware of the fear of public speaking that so many experience, which is echoed through stunning statistics in this paragraph from The Times Newspaper: "A fear of public speaking was found to be a more pressing concern than death, according to a ranking of society's most pervasive fears. ... The top ranking, at 6.41 out of ten, was the fear of losing family members, followed by a 5.63 for public speaking."So ... how does one overcome a fear greater than death? In this episode, we meet Psychologist, Teacher, and Coach, Dr. Doreen Downing, who says that we must go deeper to discover the 'essence' of one's self, and it is from that inner journey that you can "find your voice, and change your life."My Favorite Quotes from Dr. Doreen in this episode, (paraphrased):“Find Your Voice, Change Your Life!”“When we speak, we must go beyond 'performance' and address 'being who we are'!”“Being nervous is not only about what's happening in our brains now, it's also about what happened in our past that brought us to this place of fear!”The best ways to connect with Dr. Doreen online are:Doreen7secrets.com https://essentialspeaking.com/free-7-step-guide/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/drdoreenh/Website: https://essentialspeaking.comAbout the PROFITABLE HAPPINESS™ Podcast:In this podcast, we feature stories from highly successful Experts and Creative Entrepreneurs who exemplify the use of Profitable Happiness™ to build influence and business success.
