Cowboys' Dak Prescott reacts to Tom Brady, Bucs advancing to NFC title game: 'Hold my crutches' Tom Brady isn't entirely human, and that's more or less a safe assumption to make. At the tender age of 43, the six-time Super Bowl winner is on the cusp of landing a seventh after conquering Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Divisional Round to punch his ticket to the NFC title game -- in only his first season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. On Monday, the latter point was used on social media to take a jab at the Dallas Cowboys, who haven't been to the NFC title game since winning their fifth Super Bowl in the mid-1990s, and Dak Prescott took grave exception to the unprompted dig. After seeing the post pushed on Instagram by ESPN's 'SportsCenter' account, Prescott tagged two-time NFL rushing champ Ezekiel Elliott in his reply, and it's one that can only make the Cowboys' locker room and front office smile from ear to ear. In the three months since Dak Prescott's horrific, season-ending ankle injury, the Cowboys have maintained he is still their future. The star quarterback has been attacking rehab to ensure that future is bright. And he's making great progress. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Prescott is walking, working on an anti-gravity treadmill and in a HydroWorx pool, which takes pressure off his ankle but allows him to get in shape. "Based on the work he's put in, what they think, he's going to come back better than ever," Rapoport said Saturday on NFL GameDay Morning. Of course, there's still that little contract dispute to resolve. Prescott played the 2020 campaign under the franchise tag after the two sides could not agree on a long-term deal. Owner Jerry Jones recently stated the fifth-year QB has more leverage now given how well he was playing this season (and last) coupled with how poorly the Cowboys fared without him. Tommy Lazzaro (former Central Michigan QB) shares with Pro Mindset host Craig Domann his experiences as a college QB including his highs and lows. Craig was Tommy’s QB Coach in high school when Tommy was two-time state champion. Tommy graduated from Central Michigan in December (2019) and completed his final football season by scoring 9 TDs. Moving forward, Tommy was recently accepted into the Special Forces Training and Tommy shares his next goal is to kill the training and become a leader in the US Army Special Forces.Tommy enjoyed lots of success in high school at Pine Creek High School (Colorado Springs) but had to go the junior college route as he went to Dodge City Community College. Tommy shares the challenges of adapting to a small town and a college about the same size as his high school. The silver lining for Tommy about his time at Dodge City is he learned to connect with so many players from different backgrounds from all over the USA. Tommy played at Dodge City Conquistadors for one season and lead his team to a conference championship before moving on to the Central Michigan Chippewas. During his first season at Central Michigan, Tommy played behind former Dallas Cowboys QB and current New York Giants QB Cooper Rush. Before the NCAA changed the redshirt rule to allow players to play a max of 4 games and still retain their redshirt, Tommy played less than a handful of plays in one game his first season and lost a year of eligibility. Tommy again developed some very strong friendships with his teammates at CMU. Although Tommy scored 9 TDs this past season and lead the offense in the wildcat formation, Tommy was not the fulltime starter. He had different coaching staffs and several QBs he had to compete with during his time at Central.Tommy thought about quitting football more than a few times during his college career but he did not want to let his teammates down so he stuck it out. Tommy was rewarded by his teammates at his senior football banquet when he was selected the most inspirational player and received the Kurt Dobronski Award. Tommy did it for his teams and he plans to attack the US Army Special Forces with the same mindset which is do it for the man on your right and on your left.
