As Integrative Health Practitioners we just want to help… We see clients who are struggling, not feeling well, and losing hope and we want to provide them with every resource available to get them feeling well again. But most of the time what we want and plan for them isn't always the best course of action. On today's podcast, we talk with David Delgado. David is an Integrative Health Practitioner who specializes in working with clients dealing with chronic fatigue and brain fog. While David stresses the importance of niching down in business to provide clients with the best care, he also values the importance of holding space for them to measure success on their own terms. David speaks about wanting what is best for your client is not always what you plan for them, but instead listening to what their specific goals are and working towards those as markers of success. What are trapped emotions? All our emotions affect our bodies in different ways and carry different energy within us. What happens when energy doesn't get to release the way it should? It does not just disappear or go away. It stays with us. It becomes trapped. How do trapped emotions show up in our bodies and our lives? How do we become aware of these trapped emotions? What can we do from (and with) that awareness? Guest David Delgado (founder of Moksha- A personal development company) sits down to talk about his discovery of his own trapped emotions. Breaking down how they showed up in his life, his path of awareness, and what movement looks like for him now. David is a UX designer by trade and began walking the path within when he faced unexplainable brain fog, chronic fatigue, and other symptoms. On his journey, he became immersed in the fields of biohacking, contemplative sciences, breath work, transpersonal psychology, subconscious programming, and other modalities. While we may not have all the answers, we have our own answers up until this point and that is why we talk. That is why we share. That is how we check ourselves so that we wreck ourselves a little bit less. We are SO EXCITED to present to you this very special episode with guest Dr. David Delgado Shorter where we discuss the Flower Worlds of the Yaqui people of northern Mexico. In this cosmology there are nine interlocking worlds filled with magical creatures. Reality is danced and sung into being. Flowers are messengers from Spirit. In the Western Mystery traditions, the suit of wands relates to the wisdom flowers and trees, and in this episode we get to hear a radically different perspective on these beings. Dr. Shorter has studied with the Yaqui for over 20 years and helps us understand the indigenous view of the enchanted world of plants, brought into being through relationship and ritual. **********************************Find out more about our special guest, Dr. David Delgado Shorter ...Visit his website, DavidShorter.comRead his book "We Will Dance Our Truth: Yaqui History in Yoeme Performances" or his many other books.Check out his various websites on Indigenous Studies. One of these tracks was so inspiring that he decided to give this completely different genre a shot, which turned out to be a perfect fit. When creating a set, the focus is always on creating a smooth, melodic journey that features tracks that will capture techno enthusiasts, but at the same time, is also interesting to listeners that might hear techno music for the very first time. 1. Are you weirded out by the way that some folks talk about Indigenous spiritualities? On today’s episode of Feral Visions, we’re delving into the romantic idea of ‘Indian spirituality.’ Come learn from Dr. David Delgado Shorter about some of the power dynamics thru which it’s been imagined & maintained within the dominant, Eurocentric, settler colonial US. We’ll discuss some material implications of generalizations about Indigenous spiritualities, including who & what benefits from them in our current neocolonial context. Join me as we bravely unlearn so we can then shift our practices & decolonize this society. To learn more about Dr. Shorter's work, visit: www.davidshorter.com. Through their work as visual strategists for NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, David Delgado and Daniel Goods inspire scientists and make science inspiring. Under 'The Studio' at JPL, David and Dan help engineers and scientists sort through their own design problems using creative methodologies, while also framing JPL's research for a general audience—making things like travel posters for exoplanets and helping realize a giant listening station for orbiting satellites. David and Dan sat down with me to discuss their role in the JPL ecosystem, and the invaluable role their architect- and designer-collaborators play in imagining the future. David starts off the conversation by describing their 'Metamorphosis' project: visualizing the surface of a comet through sculpture, for the Rosetta Mission. Update 11/15/16: To clarify, the "Jason" Dan refers to ~2:08 is Jason Klimoski, of the architecture firm StudioKCA, whom NASA JPL asked to design the installation 'Metamorphosis'. David and Dan are not themselves designers/architects, but work with those professionals as their clients to realize JPL/NASA's objectives.

That is not to say we did not have some great convos, and big thanks to the 9 people who participated, but it was just not the same scale. NOW, that being said, we did run into an interesting problem because of the number of people involved. You see, because so few people were able to participate, Liam made every conversation longer than had been originally planned. So you will here him claim in the intro that this episode is particularly short. It is not. It is like 2 hours long. The reason is this extended format. Sorry. Now quite a few people expressed frustration they did not get to participate in this episode. First off, anyone who showed up and was willing to get interviewed got interviewed so you got no one to blame but yourself sugar. However, we love interviews and we would love to talk TO YOU! Hit us up on facebook or email us cinepunx (at) gmail. Josh checks it. Right? Sure he does. Almost everyone we were able to talk to also writes about movies, so check out the links next to their name to see their writing. Big thanks again to all of them, listed below in order of appearance. SOUND NOTE: during the interview with the magical WOLFMAN the chord on Liam’s mic fell out before you hear us address it. It just sounds like suddenly you can’t hear Liam very well anymore. Look, it is a minute and it was not gonna work to edit it out. Thanks for your patience far, far in advance, and big thanks to Fantastic Fest for being amazing. Our mindset is often one of avoiding adversity at all costs. We desire to avoid illness, discomfort, distress and emotional anguish. We are willing to try almost anything available in order to be free of these unpleasant experiences. A life free of adversity is a blessing of great value. And adversity in our lives is of magnificent value. Adversity forces change and ultimately leads to personal growth, enlightened understanding and both physical and spiritual development. ... When we can allow rather than resist, we open ourselves to an impetus to enlightenment that nothing else can provide. Moving forward with grace and ease is accepting adversity with gratitude and peace.
