ONE Question: Unapologetic Questions for Unapologetic Results
Finding the line between being generous and over-giving in business, especially when you're offering free value, can be tricky to walk for many heart-centered and service-driven entrepreneurs. Or maybe you just keep finding yourself ‘friend-zoned' with potential clients you're coaching for free in the DMs and don't know how to side-step this without undermining the relationships you're building. Join me in this bite-size biz lesson, and my unapologetic answer to one of your unapologetic questions in You Asked, I Answered: ONE Question About Navigating Boundaries When Giving Free Value. No more wasting time writing emails that nobody reads. Start using the ONE copywriting technique no one is teaching, that has proven to propel not only sales (yay!) but opt-in rates to sky high levels in a variety of niches (Including everything from growing plants to SEO to frugal living, even couples counseling.) Know how one 90's rap superstar will be responsible for adding thousands of new perfect subscribers to your email list in 2022 because you need people to talk to, (it added 7,000 new subscribers for one of my students.) Never run out of amazing ideas to email your list about - and how adding just TWO simple words can turn ANY value-soaked email into profit boosting sales emails people actually thank you for sending.
Are you giving away too much for free? You may worry that you're giving away too much value in your podcast or in other parts of your business, like Instagram or blog posts. In today's episode, I'm sharing my opinion on this topic. Your thoughts are valid and can be rooted in the fear that someone will copy your free work or that your audience will always expect free content from you and will never support you by paying for your resources. Providing valuable, free content is good and necessary to build trust with your audience. You may wonder why your audience would ever want to pay for your content if they can get it for free, and that's what I'm going to be sharing with you today because they absolutely will. By the end of this episode, I hope you'll see the benefits and have a mindset shift to want to give, give, give because I promise it will pay off! I'd love to hear your thoughts on this conversation, so send me an email or send me a message on Instagram @podcastingforeducators. SHOW NOTES: podcastingforeducators.com/episode21

In this episode you're going to learn how to use social media to recruit for your network marketing team: How to send messages to strangers Check out my facebook profile how it is set up. https://www.facebook.com/thecodydean/ If you want to use the free lead magnet I use. You can go to http://www.codydean.net/freefunnel #1 You need to set up your profile correctly. If you are on Instagram., this means that you need to have a link in your bio, You need to have a decent description in the bio. You need to have Free Value to give away (codydean.net/freefunnel) You can use my Facebook profile as an example. Build a lead magnet here. #2 Once you have set up your profile you then need to start going out and talking to people. You are building relationships. You are providing value. Find people that have congregated with your potential customers. #3 How do you message someone? You don’t go write in for the “kill” Do you message a girl or guy you are interested in and say, hey lets get married? NO! I thought it was super funny when you did this…. example of a type of comment. Comment on their stuff, start building a relationship with the person. DO NOT DO 2o questions. (this is super annoying) #4 Solve their problem for free. They probably have seen your facebook profile. You can then be a little more straightforward and ask a little deeper of questions. Still not questions like “ #5 have people reach out to you first. Put valuable pots out and you can tell people to message you for more information IF you have an ad that is running many times people will ask for information --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/mlm/message
I get a lot of questions about how much free value to give – and how much is too much. I think one of the greatest secrets to consistently great content is this: STOP overthinking it. When you are questioning every single thing you post, putting so much pressure on each piece of content to be GREAT, and expecting it to get you the results you’re looking for (aka clients), you actually prevent yourself from producing consistently. In this week’s episode, I’m teaching you how to produce tons of amazing content AND sign clients consistently – without overthinking it. Highlights: Abundance + generosity pays off WORK to stand out Results vs. actions

This is one of the top requested topics from those that have written in with your ideas. And it's all about the Free Value Game… Have you heard this type of advice before? You should be creating free opt-in incentives, free lead magnets, free freebies, and free content upgrades for your audience! Oh, and you should also be creating weekly content, also for free, for your audience too! And you should be giving away your stuff for free too. FREE FREE FREE, IT'S A FRICKEN FREE FOR ALL! (Literally!) I meannnn... a business is not sustainable unless you're making money, right!? So then what's with this huge push for everyone investing all this time into providing free value… and a lot of it… all the time? What in the actual F is with this whole “Free Value Game”? Let's get this thing straight once and for all. It's time to get clear on all this free shit we have going on in online marketing. Because this can get very confusing… Not to mention, overwhelming and frustrating. I get so many questions from my community, students and clients about whether or not as a business they should be providing free value. ESPECIALLY for those NOT running an online, service-based business. Let's be real. And if so, how much is enough? And THEN what's the difference between free content that's on like a blog or covered in a podcast vs. content that requires a person to submit their email first in order to get it. Otherwise known as “gated” free content. And in this episode, I'm gonna un-confuse this whole mess for you. You're gonna learn once and for all... The main capital you need for your business and career is not big loads of money; It’s your healthy mind and body. It’s you who has to create, plan, and work on growing it. Your health should always be a priority! So, in today’s episode, John interviews Allen Johnson, the CEO of AJ Fitness & Mindness Coaching. Fitness has massively improved Allen’s life, so he wants others to enjoy it. He is also a certified NLP practitioner, so he’s equipped with the expertise to help you achieve excellence in life. Some topics that were covered were about prioritising health and fitness in your schedule, having a morning routine, being clear on your goals, and spending your time with your family. Discover today how you can be in the best shape as you can be for yourself, your relationships, and your career when you listen in. KEY TAKEAWAYS Allen shares his experience and tips for people in his Facebook group. He does Facebook Live regularly for his followers. Allen’s tip if you also want to share your knowledge and expertise, just roll with. Don’t doubt yourself especially if you got good intentions. How can we get fit and healthy? Plan. Schedule your gym visits and your weekly meal preps. Most of us prioritize our business, career or family every day, but remember also that you need the energy, which you can get from being fit and healthy, to win every task in each of these aspects. Have a balanced diet and exercise daily. We all have different body responses and different daily activities. What works for him might not work you. Be clear of what you want to achieve. Don’t focus on your mass, focus on inches, photos, and how you feel. Allow 10-15 minutes of exercise every day no matter what. If you’re feeling down, then releasing those happy hormones when exercising is a great remedy. Have a morning routine that will set you up for success. Exercise, say your gratitude, schedule your day, read your visions, and eat a healthy breakfast. BEST MOMENTS “When you start improving your fitness, your mindset will naturally improve as well and other areas of your life will improve at the same time.” “Consistent effort is massively important. You can’t go all in for one week, and then next week, take off.” “I want people to know that I do have problems, challenges, and struggles, but I still choose to keep showing up on a daily basis.” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://www.johndclarke.co.uk/ he Streetwise Tradesman Mentor Podcast | Omny | Stitcher | Apple The Streetwise Tradesmen Community Facebook Group ABOUT THE GUEST Allen Johnson is the Founder of AJ Fitness & Mindness Coaching. One being a sewage plant that can be seen from his new home, the next being the new condo building being built which will now block the view you thought you were buying, and the final being black flies taking over a bbq.As it ended, it got me thinking – No one likes when people we know don't work with us. And I do realize you still want that business and that's totally logical...but they're looking to buy a property in an area you know nothing about, so how are you supposed be the expert that the Commercial portrays? So I threw this 2 part question out there in a Real Estate Group I'm part of - 1) should you still be bothered by their decision to work with someone else even though you know...that you don't actually know? AND 2) what would you do to 'earn' that deal and be that Realtor that the commercial is saying everyone needs to use?Tune into this Episode to follow along what happened next. In the second part of this Episode, I discuss how a lot of hard work and adding free value consistently opened a door I didn't even know existed, for me to be a guest on the popular Newstalk1010 Radio show here in Toronto. You will also be able to listen to the full interview.Credits for this Episode go to the Host - Todd C. Slater, the Producer - Iain Grant, and to Bell Media and Newstalk1010am. I run a training program called The MindShare Challenge. It's an 8 week course, with 8 LIVE Webinars, 1hr/week, it also includes our daily LIVES in our private Facebook Group. Now, before we go live with the first session, we ask all participants to complete what we call “Your personal measuring stick”.We ask them questions such as, how many deals have you done in the past 12 months, how long have you been in the business, what do you like doing most to get business, what do you hate doing to get business, what is the most effective thing you do to get business, and a bunch of other questions. I share these answers in this Episode, and these answers provide us with valuable insights which help us A) craft an appropriate message throughout the course, and B) it allows us to share this information back to everyone as a group consensus, so they can evaluate themselves against what many others are doing out there. Are they in the same boat as everyone, are they doing more than everyone, are they facing similar or different issues than everyone. This is that eye opener for them. Something to note here though, is that only 4% of respondents said that they like to give out "free value" and "host free seminars".And I've asked many sales people if they prefer to be sitting behind a computer writing content all day, or if they would prefer to be out networking with people. I'm sure you can already guess that 99% of sales people always say they would prefer being out with people over sitting behind a screen. Now all of these are the same people who continue to say they want to up their Social Media Game, they want to have a better online presence...And to them I say - If you want to up your game, you need to be ready to spend time behind a screen, and you need to be ready to give out free value on a consistent basis. Think about that. Google is a search engine. Why did they win the game? They created a culture that we all gravitated towards, and they give out the FREE value. In this Episode, I'm talking about your need for Content Marketing, what kind of ROI you should expect from your efforts, I share with you the steps on HOW I started The MindShare PodCast, and I also quote my friend Chelsea Peitz with her tips on HOW to come up with content. The MindShare PodCast is sponsored by KiTS Keep-in-Touch Systems, and is a founding Member of the Industry Syndicate Media Network. Please subscribe, rate the show, and share your thoughts by leaving a review.
