In this episode, I challenge a common wisdom about the universe and share my own belief instead. You may be like me and have heard “the universe is challenging me” to explain experiences in life. I don't think this is helpful. In fact, I see that belief lead to exhaustion, overworking, over-producing, and over-serving in myself and others. Instead, I accept to shift your mindset to “the universe is confirming me” to release pressure, and constraint, and move into brave ease. This is an example of mindset design. We don't talk enough about a beautiful, brave truth about growth: you will grow out of everything you love in your life right now. You will outgrow that job. That living space. That community. That relationship. That hobby. You will outgrow everything. Especially when you are building your brave, you will ever more quickly outgrow who you are and what you do, no matter how much you love it at this moment. Since we don't talk about this enough, it makes sense that you get stuck, repeating your own indoctrination, “Be happy with what you have”, and “But this is what you wanted!” and (the worst!) “Who am I to want more?” …. But getting more unhappy and stagnant with each breath. I struggle with this too and the start of 2023 has been a life lesson in this. Thankfully, a recent conversation with someone who has known me for over two decades broke open my struggle and allowed me to leap into clarity. I share the wisdom from that conversation with you. Mit dieser Folge veröffentlichen wir die letzte Aufnahme unseres Gartenkongresses 2023 zum Saisonstart. Am letzten Tag des Kongresses haben wir mit Jan-Philipp Jansen über das Gärtnern mit der, statt gegen die Natur gesprochen. Dabei geht es auch um die Freude am Gärtnern und wie wir in unserem Garten ein gutes Gleichgewicht schaffen, um einen ausgewogenen Lebensraum für Tiere und somit für Nützlinge zu schaffen. Jan engagiert sich seit 2017 Verein Acker e. V. und ist dort für den Bereich Landwirtschaft zuständig und die operative Leitung der Region Nord. Er hat im Bachelor Umweltwissenschaften mit dem Schwerpunkt Umweltbildung studiert und anschließend einen Master in Biologischer Landwirtschaft mit Schwerpunkt Agrarökologie gemacht. Als passionierter Agraringenieur setzt er die gelernten Techniken und Methoden im eigenen Kleingarten um und befasst sich intensiv mit den Kreisläufen der Natur. Im Rahmen unseres Gartenkongresses 2023 zum Saisonstart haben wir Ortrud Grieb dazu eingeladen mit uns über das Thema Mischkultur zu sprechen. Im Rahmen unseres Gartenkongresses 2023 zum Saisonstart, haben wir mit Otmar Diez darüber gesprochen, wie wir ganzjährig Gärtnern können. Der Kauf der ersten Kamera vor etwa 40 Jahren hat bei Otmar Diez die Begeisterung für die Natur- und Pflanzenfotografie geweckt. Das große Interesse an Wildkräutern, Heilpflanzen, Bäumen und Pilzen veranlasste ihn, seine Kenntnisse durch mehrere Ausbildungen zum Pilzsachverständigen, Naturpädagogen, Naturheilkundigen und Kräuterführer zu vertiefen. In den letzten Jahren galt sein ganz besonderes Interesse dem Selbstversorgergarten. 2011 gründete er die Naturschule Diez, in der all diese Bereiche geschult werden. Nach und nach entwickelte er die Rahmenbeete, die besonders in kleinen Gärten ein effektives und zeitsparendes Gärtnern ermöglichen. Oder nehmen wir jemand anderen, der über die Jahre über Content Marketing eine riesige Liste für den Newsletter aufgebaut hat, der auch sonst relativ bekannt ist und viele, viele geschäftliche Kontakte zu potenziellen Kunden gewonnen hat in der Vergangenheit. Und der jetzt ein Mentoring Programm für fast 20.000 Euro an den Markt bringen will. Natürlich ist klar, dass nur ein Teil, sogar nur ein kleiner Teil der Leads und Kontakte, die er in seinem CRM erfasst hat, überhaupt in der Situation ist, ein solches Investment tätigen zu können. Und nicht jeder in seiner Kontakt und CRM Datenbank hat überhaupt den Bedarf an so einem intensiven Mentoringprogramm. Auch hier gilt es also, die Spreu vom Weizen zu trennen. [00:03:06.120] Oder aber, dritte Situation, du und ich. Du und ich haben manchmal nur wenig Zeit, um uns um Vertrieb und Verkauf zu kümmern. Vielleicht hast du heute und morgen jeweils nur 30 Minuten Zeit, deine Leistung zu verkaufen, weil du eben andere Hüte auffasst und andere Dinge deine Aufmerksamkeit und deine Ressourcezeit fordern und fressen. Dann sind das drei Alltagssituationen, die immer wieder auftreten, in denen du priorisieren, die Spreu vom Weizen trennen musst. Und ich möchte dir ein Konzept vorstellen, das es dir leichter macht, eben diese Priorisierungsentscheidung zielgerichtet, also sinnvoll, also profitabel zu treffen. Bevor ich näher auf diese Lösung, auf dieses Konzept eingehe, ein Blick ans virtuelle schwarze Brett. [00:04:33.620] Das Konzept nennt sich gemeinhin Lead Scoring und es geht dabei darum, von all den Leads, zu denen du Kontakt hast oder Kontakt aufnehmen kannst, herauszufinden, wer die vermutlich größte Bereitschaft hat, in deine Leistung zu investieren. Die Idee ist dahinter, Handlungen zu definieren, die entweder Neugier oder Interesse oder aber vielleicht sogar Kaufbereitschaft signalisieren. Und das Ziel ist, alle diese Handlungen einmal ordentlich aufzulisten und einen Punktwert hinter jede dieser einzelnen Handlungen zu schreiben. Das implementierte System beobachtet dann diese Handlung aller Leads, verteilt die ausgewählten Punkte und summiert sie auf, sodass du zu jedem deiner Leads einen akkuraten Punktwert sehen kannst, der eine Rangliste ergibt. Und diese Rangliste ergibt dann logischerweise, quasi mathematisch, eine Rangliste nach Geschäftschancen. Denn diejenigen, die die meisten Punkte gesammelt haben, sollten und du kannst am ehesten in Frage kommen, dein Angebot auch anzunehmen. Der Vorteil ist also, wann immer du nur 50 Teilnehmer in ein Live Webinar einladen kannst, wann immer du nur 30 Minuten Zeit hast, um Vertrieb und Verkauf zu machen, oder wann immer du ein sehr teures Investment an deine Leads verkaufen möchtest, kannst du damit priorisieren und deine Zeit, die du in Vertrieb und Verkauf steckst, mit denjenigen Leads und Kontakten verbringen, bei denen du eben besonders viel Umsatzpotenzial ausgerechnet hast. [00:06:17.860] Die Betonung liegt auf "ausgerechnet hast" und dazu gleich mehr. Die Vorgehensweise beim Lead Scoring ist immer die gleiche. Zunächst mal erstens musst du diese Daten sammeln. Du musst ja irgendwas messen können, um da Punkte für zu vergeben. Das heißt Schritt eins ist, dass du ein CRM brauchst, in dem du alle deine Leads erfasst und auch ein CRM brauchst, wo man so einen Punktwert ermitteln kann. Ich persönlich empfehle im Moment die Software Active Campaign, die auch ein tolles CRM beinhaltet. Da kann man ganz leicht so einen Leadscore, so einen Punktwert errechnen lassen, um eben jeden Tag eine akkurat gepflegte Rangliste zu haben, die dann eben hilft zu entscheiden, wie man was anbietet und wie man am besten im Moment noch nichts anbietet, weil eben keine Neugier-, Interessens-, oder Kaufsignale gemessen werden konnten. Der zweite Schritt, wenn du so ein CRM hast, ist dann, die Daten, die du sammeln kannst, auch zu analysieren. Was von den Handlungen, die du messen kannst, ein Beispiel wären zum Beispiel die Öffnung deiner Newsletter oder aber der Daten, die die Kontakte von sich preisgeben, zum Beispiel in welcher Branche ihr Unternehmen tätig ist. Also welche der Daten und Handlungen, die als Daten im CRM gemessen werden und gemessen werden können, sind überhaupt relevant für so eine Priorisierung? [00:07:38.000] Ist es wichtig, ob der Kunde in Köln oder Bremen sitzt? Vermutlich nicht. Aber ist es wichtig, ob jemand in den letzten sechs Wochen alle deine Newsletter geöffnet hat oder keinen davon? Vermutlich eher ja. Analysiere also die Daten, zu denen du Zugriff hast, also anders herumformuliert auf die du Zugriff hast und die verfügbar sind und entscheide, welche Handlungen und Daten du überhaupt bewerten willst. Und dann drittens, entwickle ein Modell, also vergib Punkte zu all diesen Handlungen und Daten, die vergeben werden sollen und achte darauf, dass diese Handlungen und Daten vom Punktwert her in einem sinnvollen Verhältnis stehen. Es macht keinen Sinn, das Öffnen einer Email mit einem Punkt zu bewerten, das Klicken eines Links in der Email mit einem Punkt zu bewerten und das Antworten auf ein Newsletter von dir auch mit einem Punkt zu bewerten. Weil es viel mehr Interesse an dir und deinen Angeboten signalisiert, wenn jemand auf dein Newsletter antwortet, anstatt dass er ihn nur öffnet. Ich denke, dass es einleuchtend, dass diese drei Handlungen nicht den gleichen Punktwert bekommen sollten. Achte also bei Punkt 3 das Modell entwickeln, darauf, dass die von dir gewählten Punkte ineinander oder miteinander zusammen Sinn ergeben, die Gewichtung untereinander Sinn ergibt. [00:08:55.320] Denn, und hier kommt die Schwierigkeit, diese Punkte, dieses Modell entwickelst du alleine und hier gibt es kein pauschales richtig oder falsch. Hast du ein Punktesystem, wenn man so will, gefunden, das intern Sinn ergibt und die Daten und Handlungen umfasst, die du wirklich beobachten und bewerten willst, dann geht es darum, dieses Modell zu implementieren, denn Du willst und kannst ja nicht für jeden Lied alle Handlungen und Daten rund um die Uhr 24/7 beobachten und selbst bewerten im Sinne einer physisch geführten Strichliste mit Bleistift auf Papier. Nein, Du brauchst ein Software Tool, das das für Dich tut. Und hier ist es dann auch wichtig darauf zu achten, dass dein CRM diese Auswertung automatisch durchführen kann. In dem CRM mit Hilfe der Automatisierung implementierst Du also dieses von Dir gewählte Modell mit dem Punktsystem in Punkt 4. Zwei Dinge sind an dieser Stelle wichtig, dass wir die ganz kurz wie einen Exkurs betrachten. Zum einen bin ich für diese Idee des Lead Scoring bei LinkedIn kritisiert worden, dass es sich um ein rein mathematisches Modell handelt. Und dieses rein mathematische Modell zu wenig Entscheidungsgrundlage bietet, wirklich die Spräufe und Weizen zu trennen. Und ja, das stimmt. Alleine auf Basis von Mathematik sollte man im Vertrieb und Verkauf natürlich nicht entscheiden, wem man welches Angebot oder welche Marketingmaßnahme zukommen lässt. [00:10:17.380] Aber wenn man es andersherum betrachtet und sagt, hey, die schiere Masse an Leads, die wir über Digitalmarketing generieren und das Fehlen von persönlichen Gesprächen, die ja auch Alltag sind, nicht Offline Vertrieb, sondern digitales Marketing machen, diese Realität zwingt uns ja, gewisse Vereinfachungen und Annahmen zu treffen. Und Leads Scoring, auch wenn es ein mathematisches Modell ist, hilft eben auf jeden Fall im ersten Schritt einmal, die Spreu vom Weizen zu trennen, auch wenn, ja, es nicht die einzige Grundlage für vertriebliche Entscheidungen sein sollte. Und die zweite Kritik, die ich bei LinkedIn bekommen habe, ist, dass, wenn man so vorgeht, man ja die anderen Leads völlig außer Acht lässt, also Menschen, die trotzdem potenzieller Kunde sein können, obwohl sie die im Modell nicht definierten Handlungen vielleicht aus bestimmten Gründen nicht machen, dass man die ja dann komplett vergisst und damit Umsatz auf dem Tisch liegen bleiben würde. Und auch hier meine Replik, Leadscoring ist ein Modell, aber nicht das einzige, das das vertriebliche Handeln bestimmen sollte. Aber es ist ein Modell, das uns eben eine Priorisierungsentscheidung ermöglicht, so sehr auch die getroffenen Parameter und Bewertungsmodelle immer nur ein ungefähres Abbild der Realität sein können. Und ja, wichtige, vor allen Dingen weiche Faktoren, die darüber entscheiden, ob jemand ein potenzieller Kunde ist und wie sehr Bedarf da ist an unserer Leistung. [00:11:46.820] Die werden hier halt nicht bewertet, weil es ein mathematisches Modell ist. Aber trotz allem bleiben die anderen Leads, die den Punktwert nie erreichen, ja nicht außen vor. Auch sie werden natürlich zum Beispiel mit Newsletter Marketing weiterhin betreut. Also ja, Leet Scoring ist ein Modell, aber nicht das einzige. Und deswegen musst du im fünften Schritt dein System auch warten und pflegen. Du wirst dazulernen mit der Zeit, welche der Daten und Handlungen, die du im Modell in Schritt 3 quasi mit einem Punktwert versehen hast, dass das sich verändert. Da kommen neue Handlungen hinzu, neue Daten hinzu. Manche Daten, die du in der Vergangenheit bewertet hast, fallen raus. Auch der interne Mechanismus, also die interne Gewichtung der Punkte wird sich verändern mit der Zeit, weil du einfach mehr dazu lernst, wenn du dieses System, dieses Modell wartest und pflegst und die vertrieblichen Informationen und Erfahrungen, die du machst, wieder zurück fließen lässt in dein Lead Scoring Modell. Dieses Konzept des Lead Scoring hat sich in meiner Praxis mit meinen Kunden auch in meinem Leben insofern bewährt, dass es mir eine schnelle Rangliste ermöglicht, wer von meinen Leads in der letzten Zeit besonders viel Neugier, Interesse oder vielleicht sogar Kaufsignale gezeigt hat an meinen Angeboten. [00:13:06.230] Und immer dann, wenn die Zeit knapp ist oder die Möglichkeit mit Menschen zum Beispiel im Rahmen eines Live Webinars, zu arbeiten, weil die Platzanzahl im Raum beschränkt ist. Immer dann ist es ein relativ guter erster Schritt, die Vorauswahl mit Hilfe von so einem Leadscoring Modell zu treffen. I run a training program called The MindShare Challenge. It's an 8 week course, with 8 LIVE Webinars, 1hr/week, it also includes our daily LIVES in our private Facebook Group. Now, before we go live with the first session, we ask all participants to complete what we call “Your personal measuring stick”.We ask them questions such as, how many deals have you done in the past 12 months, how long have you been in the business, what do you like doing most to get business, what do you hate doing to get business, what is the most effective thing you do to get business, and a bunch of other questions. I share these answers in this Episode, and these answers provide us with valuable insights which help us A) craft an appropriate message throughout the course, and B) it allows us to share this information back to everyone as a group consensus, so they can evaluate themselves against what many others are doing out there. Are they in the same boat as everyone, are they doing more than everyone, are they facing similar or different issues than everyone. This is that eye opener for them. Something to note here though, is that only 4% of respondents said that they like to give out "free value" and "host free seminars".And I've asked many sales people if they prefer to be sitting behind a computer writing content all day, or if they would prefer to be out networking with people. I'm sure you can already guess that 99% of sales people always say they would prefer being out with people over sitting behind a screen.Now all of these are the same people who continue to say they want to up their Social Media Game, they want to have a better online presence...And to them I say - If you want to up your game, you need to be ready to spend time behind a screen, and you need to be ready to give out free value on a consistent basis. Think about that. Google is a search engine. Why did they win the game? They created a culture that we all gravitated towards, and they give out the FREE value. I thought it's such a beautiful day here, I would come outside and make a video.4 Live Webinars helping tradersWhat I wanted to talk about today was the feedback that I received from a survey that I sent out recently to 35,000 Forex traders all around the world. Had a lot of replies back, and as a result of that, I‘ve put together over the last two weeks, four live webinars. They're about one hour. Well, last night's one was about one and a half hours, because we had so much information to cover. I'll put a link to that last video below this video and podcast also, so you can go and watch that.Also, on that webinar, I explained how I'd made a 3% gain, or just over a 3% gain in the last week on live account. I shared with the people on that webinar, some of the trades that I'd taken.The Top 3 problems that traders have – #1 No StrategyThe important thing that I want to cover now, is to explain the top three problems that the people telling me that are preventing them being profitable.Number one, was people do not have a strategy. As I said on the webinar, that's really concerning. There's all these thousands and thousands, hundreds of thousands of traders out there, small retail traders, putting hard earned cash into their Forex account, and most of you don't have a strategy that is proven that all of you even believe in yourself. That's really not good when you think about it.How to create a strategy that works for youI was explaining information about how to create a strategy that works for you, about how when I started trading, it took me four years of going around in circles before I really got somewhere. I stripped everything off my charts, I started with understanding candlesticks, and candle patterns. I mentioned that I just use five candle patterns right now in my trading today.My trading style's not changed in the last 10 years, because it's profitable, and it works in all market conditions, or currency pairs, or time frames. It's really important that you have something like that as well, something that you know will work through all conditions. Very, very important. It's all well and good having something that works in trending markets, or range-bound markets, but you don't know when the market's going to do that. Understanding a strategy that works for you, is a vitally, vitally important.#2 Not understanding Money ManagementThe second point that we talked about was the lack of understanding of money management position sizing. It's crucial, because you can have, as I explained in the webinar, a 90% winning system. A 90% win rate. I said to people, "Look, if you come to me with a 90% win rate, would you say you had a good system?" Most people were saying, "Yeah, of course. 90% is fantastic." Winning nine trades out of 10.The problem is a 90% win rate doesn't actually mean that much if you do not understand money management correctly, because the problem that a lot of people have is that one trade that loses every so often,

Joel’s co-host is Tim Paige — vacuum salesman turned webinar host. Aside from generating more than ten million in revenue for his webinar clients, he’s more than quadrupled webinar conversions by making a small adjustment to his Q & A session. [8:19] Promotions that work well for cold traffic webinars: lead with the price and substantiate everything afterward vs. hiding the price up front. [8:46] Tim's ‘heroes journey’ is only 5 minutes long in his webinars and tells them the entire offer upfront to avoid offer anxiety. [9:40] "Offer anxiety": When webinar attendees wonder about the cost of the offer for the duration of the webinar instead of focusing on the content. [14:51] If you're uncomfortable giving the offer upfront, at least give them the price upfront. [16:04] When you give the price upfront, they're focusing on the content and the product itself to figure out what value they'll receive for the price. You have a longer opportunity to present the offer. [16:53] How did you 4x your conversions? Tim split tested webinars to 2 large audiences. “I answer questions throughout the whole webinar, I don't wait until the Q & A.” Day 1 - didn't answer questions until the Q & A. Day 2 - answered questions throughout the webinar. On day 2, he quadrupled sales. [18:41] The only time it's difficult to answer questions throughout the webinar content is if the webinar is a story from start to finish. [20:01] Answer questions relevant to whatever topic is being discussed at that point in the webinar. Leave non-relevant questions to answer at the end. [21:03] "I'm seeing right now on average that 95% of the people that show up at the start of the webinar will stay for 75 minutes or longer — which is insane."- TP [21:16] On average, Tim's clients have 90-minute webinars but more are trending toward 60 minutes. It depends on the client, topic, and content. [22:12] "What we're finding is shorter is almost always better in terms of conversions."-JE [23:12] Positioning as a webinar host for other people's products. “When I'm presenting, if there's a story that's relevant to the brand or founders story, I never try to turn it into my story. I think that's disingenuous...I will not tell something that's not true.” [25:36] Average price points for Tim's webinars: lowest price point is $397 and highest is $2K. 70% cold traffic, 30% retargeting. [29:25] Joel uses scripts for his personal webinars. Tim doesn't write or script his presentations. His slide decks are typically 140 slides and contain pictures or phrases that trigger his points. [33:32] "I always tell my clients, 'You cannot insult your customer's intelligence, especially if this is a cold traffic webinar because most people aren't going to buy on the webinar. They’ll come back and buy later. Do not ruin that relationship"-JE [33:57] When you go into your pitch, how does it differ from a normal-style offer creation? "I use the ending pitch as an opportunity to expand." If it's not a well-known product, he'll reference it as a solution throughout the webinar. This works well for software products. Tim's beginning pitch is 3-5 minutes and ending pitch is 10 minutes. [37:40] Tim’s Q & A strategy: Start with 2-3 buying questions: Address the biggest objection first (with Leadpages, it was, "Can I use this with more than one website?”) 2 more buying questions 2-3 non-buying questions based around the content More buying questions ("Can you tell me more about your program/product/software?") and deep dive. Get to Q & A as quickly as you can Answer buying questions Answer content questions Deep dive into product. [39:19] If you use your Q & A like an opportunity to overcome objections, I found that that's kind of the magic that closes those last-minute sales."-TP [39:34] Joel is testing a new offer structure internally that’s worked very well. “We position the objections within the content of the webinar.” [40:59] What's the highest conversion rate you've ever had live on a webinar and what was the price point? Tim answers with his hiccup's-during-a-webinar story. "Like — BAD hiccups. It was brutal!". Converted at 50% and the price point was $577. [45:22] “I believe we use the same headset — Sennheiser PC 8. It’s all I use.” Inexpensive but sounds great on webinars.
