Ever since her arrival in Southern California in the late `80s, Kimberly Brewer has ascended the ranks as vivacious and indispensable in multiple genres of music as a singer and songwriter. Her resume, first and foremost, includes touring the world and recording on three albums with the inimitable Stevie Wonder, including “If She Breaks Your Heart,” “Tasting Sunshine”) and Maysa (the fierce and funny kiss-OFF, “Mr. So Damn Fine”), a co-write with pop-rocker Robbie Nevil (“Tailor-Made Love”), and a co-write with Wonder entitled “Have Sweet Dreams,” lyricized from the point of view of Michelle Obama lovingly sending her husband President Barack Obama to sleep with thoughts of her admiration and affection for him (recorded by Maysa). finally, time for Kimberly’s close-up as she bows with her debut 6-song EP, Just That Sweet to Me, released on her very own Kimberly Records label. This tight, filler-free offering is the perfect introduction to what this beautiful lady – inside and out - has to offer. The lead-off single is the romantic and adoring title track, “Just That Sweet to Me,” featuring soprano saxophonist Walter Beasley and produced by Funk-Jazz bass master Byron Miller who co-composed the music with Greg Curtis. Episode #1 **We know this episode can be tough and uncomfortable and honestly isn't very ideal to have as our very first episode. We felt it was very important to have a conversation about things that are happening in this country and hope that people will understand and hopefully start conversations of their own with other people. Because at the end of the day, football is just a game and change needs to happen!** In this episode get to know your hosts, Greg Curtis and Mike Champagne, as they share how this podcast got started, a little about their personal football backgrounds, COVID-19 and how it may impact the upcoming season, and social injustice issues in the country and how the NFL, players, and fans will respond. We will be coming to you every Thursday of the NFL season, so make sure to subscribe and follow us on social media to stay updated. Ep.011 Identifying the Season of Your Spiritual Journey with Greg Curtis Have you ever wondered where you are in your spiritual journey, or went through a difficult time and wondered when it would end? On this episode, I'm joined by my spiritual mentor, Pastor Greg Curtis for a candid conversation about how his life changed in 1995 when he lost his marriage and realized he had to come to terms with his own brokenness.{spoiler alert, it works out in the end} We use the seasons; Winter, Spring Summer and Fall as the example of how to determine where you are in your spiritual journey and how you can apply that principle to your entrepreneurial and leadership development as well. Greg also unpacks an interesting program he developed using the Sherpa model. Yes we're all climbing mountains in this life, so let's get to the top! Key questions we discuss: Does ignoring the pain, shorten the time of struggle? How can we use the idea of preparing, planting, tending and harvesting in our businesses or leadership? What is a Sherpa, and how can that model be used in leadership? Connect with Greg Curtis: Gregcurtis-assimilation.com Instagram: GregCurtis_cta
