Bei der Eröffnung ging es zusammen mit dem Partnerland Mexiko aber um ein anderes Thema: den freien Welthandel. Die Grundsatzeinigung auf ein Handelsabkommen zwischen der EU und Mexiko sei eine "wirklich gute Nachricht", sagte Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel am Sonntag bei der Eröffnung der Messe. Sie kündigte zudem mit Blick auf den Trend zur Künstlichen Intelligenz die Bündelung aller Kapazitäten in der Forschung und bessere Vernetzung mit der Wirtschaft an. Apple bleibt weiter von Samsung abhängig Aktuell liefert nur Samsung Displays für Apples iPhone X. Auch bei den Nachfolgern könnte das zunächst so bleiben.
