Kürzlich habe ich an einem Business Break mit Christoph Dammermann, Staatssekretär im Ministerium für Wirtschaft teilgenommen – natürlich digital. Er hat ausgiebig über Innovation gesprochen. Was ist Innovation? Ist es der Klimaschutz? Ist Innovation automatisch auch Verzicht, oder ist Innovation immer die technische Weiterentwicklung, die größere Kamera im Mobiltelefon oder der Fernseher der größer noch energiesparender funktioniert? Oder ist Innovation nicht auch die Tradition im Handel in die digitale Welt zu bringen? Eine erste Antwort vorweg: Das alleine ist sicherlich keine Innovation. Innovation ist den Handel in die digitale Welt zu transformieren. Innovation ist es neue Modelle zu entwickeln. Das "Digitale Zurschaustellen" von Waren allein ist keine Innovation, das war es vielleicht mal vor 15 Jahren der Fall. Heute ist der digitale Handel innovativ, wenn er auch energiesparend und ressourcenschonend die Ware nach zum Kunden bringt. Innovativ ist es in einigen Jahren eine autofreie Innenstadt zu haben. Innovativ ist die Digitalisierung im Handel immer dann, wenn der Handel nicht zum IT-Administrator und Marketing-Manager wird sondern sich wieder voll auf den Kunden konzentrieren kann. Also Antwort auf die Frage: Ja, Online-Marktplatz ist der erste Schritt in die Innovation! Am Ende sind es die Menschen, die man zusammen bringen muss und das geht nur vor Ort, regional, lokal, kommunal.... und unsere Innovation ist es stationär zu denken und digital zu handeln.

(https://securityalwaysmatters.com/) While the internet side of the business was slow, I learned “Big Iron” computing by building, configuring and installing OpenVMS Servers for small places like St Lukes, the Chicago Stock Exchange and First Star! Y2K was a boon for most IT companies, sadly, OpenVMS was not affected by the “bug” and  the IT budgets of companies went to fix the Microsoft Windows, so… I was out of a job. I got my A+, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, and MCSE+Security. And went into becoming the inhouse IT Administrator for a few small Milwaukee Software Companies.
