Lured Up Podcast 314 Record Date - 7/24/24 Publish Date - 7/28/28   August content may have been announced to minimal fanfare, but July is closing out strong with the remaining Ultra Unlock events! Strength of Steel has us chasing down Togedamaru as we prep to Raid our fannies off for Mega Lucario. August looks to be the calm after the storm as we see a lot of repeat Pokémon returning to raids and an Adventure Week that seems a bit lighter than usual.   Safari Zones have been announced in Indonesia and South Korea, which makes us all want to be world travelers to take part. With both a City Safari and a Safari Zone being announced, it will be interesting to see how the Safari branded events return to the states. With Philadelphia being such an incredible memory, we can only hope that we see another US city get the Safari treatment soon.   As we work through August we see that Popplio Community Day and Adventure Week have been detailed so far, however it appears that August may be the time to take a breather and back off the grind a bit. Time will tell to see if the month ends up performing better IRL than it does on paper.    FInally we peak into some issues that the game is been having by jumping over to the Niantic Support Twitter account. When digging a bit further we see that the Known Issues page is no more, and the Twitter account becoming more active. Could this be the new normal? While a very outdated GBL Known Issues page still exists, 2023 World Champ AXN filmed a very pointed video, asking for Niantic to work on GBL ahead of Worlds next month. Lured Up Podcast 274 -  Record Date - 07/08/2023 Publish Date - 07/10/2023   Happy Birthday Pokémon GO! The game turns seven years old this week and the Anniversary Event is here to help us celebrate! With new costume Pokémon, and plenty of Shinies to chase, there is plenty to keep us busy. It is an interesting time to celebrate as we are coming off the heels of major Niantic Layoffs and continuous in-game bugs. ZoëTwoDots nailed the mood on Twitter, with a stone faced celebration or the occasion.   PokéStop Showcases have been added to the game but it didn't take long for them to break. We visit the Known Issues page and review the multiple issues already plaguing the new feature. While this does look to be a fun new game loop, it is only as good as how it functions. Unfortunately, some can't even see the Contests and others are having issues with their functionality.   There was some excellent communication from the Wayfarer Team this week as they detailed their June AMA and Roadmap. With copious details being laid out in the forums, we only wish that we could see this type of communication from other areas of the game. As the popularity of Wayfarer grows, so does the amount of Wayfarer abuse that has been popping up. Lured Up Podcast 200 Record Date - 11/12/2021 Publish Date - 11/17/2021   Thank you for 200 Episodes!   We wrap up the Festival of Lights and usher in the Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl tie in event. With an incredible spawn pool as well as a major raid and egg shake up, this event is looking to be one for the record books! While there is a major costume Pokémon element, there is still plenty to do in multiple other disciplines of the game.   We touch on a bit of a sensitive topic… The release of Pikmin Bloom caused over 45,000 Wayspots to show up in PGO, many of which were added in error. Niantic has already begun to roll things back to preserve the integrity of their game board. We will have to see in the coming weeks what the Community has to say about the changes that are happening around them. Wir trotzen der fortgesetzten Nachrichtenarmut, die auch durch Ereignisse wie die CeBIT nicht besser wird, und kramen ein paar Lieblingsthemenfelder heraus. Wir reden über eine neue Grafikkarte für den Mac Pro, OpenCL, Fusion Drives, RAIDs, ZFS, Mac OS 10.8.3 und 10.9 und ARM-Steine in Lightning-Adaptern. Ferner fassen wir die letzten recht bewegten Wochen von App.net zusammen und stürzen uns dann auf die Probleme beim Internetzugang und die Möglichkeit der DSL-Bündelung durch LISP-Routing. Google Glass veranlasst uns, uns ein paar Nutzerszenarios für das Gerät auszudenken und ob denn ein Gerät am Handgelenk wirklich eine Produktoption für Apple sein kann. Nach ein wenig Schwadroniererei über den Telekom-MMS-Nachfolger JOYN und ihre Kooperation mit Fon kommen wir dann auch langsam zum Ende. Määäähh!
