I have a folder on my Instagram of photos I've saved of people to reach out to. I also have a note on my phone that I write in when people come to me, or I see their stuff. So I have lists all over the place. I'll find those and I'll start messaging people.It is different being a guest, but I actually love being the interviewee because in every single podcast I get something different out of being the guest. Right? I think part of my love of being a guest is because if I ever have a job interview or something, I would do far better than I would before.I found that I learned by doing, I learned so much more by doing and I figured out my podcast interview cadence. I figured out how to edit better. I figured out how to read people better. There's just things that you're only going to be able to learn by actually doing it. So what I always tell people is to just start!I think it was the commitment to having my first guest that got me from planning to taking action on the podcast. It held me accountable to getting it together and figuring out how to edit and all that stuff.Anchor is completely free, but I was being fancy and I got Simplecast. With My Social Life running for over a year now I figured it was about time to update the trailer. i've recorded 50 interviews, 40 takeaways and multiple bonus episodes along the way and a lot has changed from when I first recorded the podcast's trailer. Jacob Kelly works full-time as a marketer and social media manager for various professional sports teams in the Ottawa area. If you've ever wanted a career in sports, marketing, or anything else relating to content, then Jake is probably someone that you should be paying attention to. He landed his first job in marketing at just 19 years old, and has now started creating his own content, with his podcast "My Social Life" where he interviews social media influencers, and gets to the bottom of how to find success on social media.
