I had the pleasure of welcoming Gerard Adams, a devoted father and influential leader, to the podcast. Gerard shared his journey of self-discovery, which began at age 30, a pivotal moment he refers to as his "second mountain." After selling his company, Elite Daily, for $50 million, he experienced an existential void that led him to seek deeper fulfillment. A significant moment on a balcony revealed his calling to mentor others, particularly underprivileged youth. Gerard's understanding of God evolved through experiences like a psychedelic journey with 5-MeO-DMT, where he encountered love and self-love, recognizing God's presence as love itself. We explored the roles of vulnerability and surrender in personal growth and leadership, emphasizing the importance of letting go of ego to embrace divine guidance. Gerard also discussed his involvement in men's retreats, encouraging leaders to step beyond their comfort zones and embrace vulnerability. Our conversation shifted to personal aspects, with Gerard reflecting on the transformative impact of fatherhood. He recounted the profound experience of hearing his daughter's heartbeat for the first time and the challenges of balancing fatherhood, business, and personal growth. Gerard shared insights into co-parenting after separation, highlighting the importance of maintaining a healthy relationship with his daughter's mother for their child's benefit. We delved into the interplay of power, vulnerability, and leadership, underscoring how true strength lies in integrating these elements. Gerard revealed his motivation behind financial pursuits, focusing on service to others and societal impact rather than ego validation. We also covered practical advice for leaders, emphasizing the importance of maintaining integrity in business dealings and balancing spiritual pursuits with financial goals. Gerard invited listeners to explore his leadership programs designed to help men reclaim their masculinity and power through adventure and personal growth.

Gerard is a digital media entrepreneur, coach, fellow podcaster, and founder of Leader create Leaders. He founded the largest millennial online publication in the United States between 2010-2015 and selling that publication for 50 mil to the Daily Mail. Gerard just returned from this year's Burning Man recently with his lessons on over overcoming fears in the masculine. I met Gerard on a deep psychedelic journey in Joshua Tree as both of our lives were in transition. Mine to Lisbon, and his to fatherhood. Summary In this episode, Gerard Adams shares his recent experience at Burning Man and discusses the exploration of masculinity and femininity. He emphasizes the importance of personal growth and leadership in creating a new paradigm of business. Gerard also shares a story from Burning Man that encapsulates the themes of intimacy and possibility. In this conversation, Jared and JohnDavid discuss toxic masculinity and how it affects men. They explore the negative impact of societal expectations on men's mental health and relationships. They also discuss ways to break free from toxic masculinity and redefine masculinity in a positive way. Takeaways Burning Man provides a unique opportunity for personal growth and exploration of masculinity and femininity. Understanding and embracing both masculine and feminine qualities is essential for personal development and building healthy relationships. The future of business lies in creating a culture of personal growth, where individuals are supported in their journey of self-discovery and fulfillment. Burning Man offers transformative experiences that open up new possibilities and inspire individuals to tap into their greatness. Toxic masculinity is not inherent to masculinity itself, but rather the harmful behaviors and attitudes associated with it. Toxic masculinity can have a detrimental impact on men's mental health and relationships. Breaking free from toxic masculinity involves challenging societal expectations and embracing vulnerability and emotional expression. Redefining masculinity in a positive way means valuing empathy, compassion, and healthy relationships. Pivotal is an interview-style segment that tackles topics in consumer packaged goods (CPG) and fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) from the business leaders that live it EVERY DAY! For the past several months, you've probably noticed that branded beverage cooler over my shoulder. I call it my “get shit done” cooler because it's stocked with mostly C4 Smart Energy drinks but also a variety of other functional beverages that contain the brain energy ingredient Cognizin. Whether it's signals from growth in social listening data or successful brand partnerships landed recently, there's a lot of momentum building for Cognizin. So, I figured why not catch up with Gerard Adams, who has been leading the Kyowa Hakko USA segment of Kirin Holdings for the last 18 months. In our conversation, we cover everything from the Japan Brewing Company's 100+ year evolution to how that beverage experience (and the pharmaceutical division that grew from it) greatly benefits it's “health science” ambitions. Gerard and I also chat through how Kyowa Hakko's ingredient positioning and aggressive growth plans are intersecting perfectly with Kirin Holdings' expansion into more functional CPG brand acquisitions…especially when you consider how everything integrates with greater consumer benefits and aligns with the company's “Creating Shared Value” initiatives. But these are just some of the fascinating topics we chatted about in this episode... Learn how to discover your true self through a 'Breaking The Mask Initiation'. Sina went through this empowering initiation which was led by Gerard Adams which sparked some insightful revelations. This enabled him to connect with his inner child and rewire his limiting beliefs to show up authentically as his true self. He explains what the true self is, how social norms and conditioning impact our potential, and why it's important to break the masks that we wear.  The breaking the mask initiation is derived from a Japanese provide which states that we have 3 masks. The first one is what we show to the world. The second one is what we show to our close friends and family. And the third one is what we don't show to anyone. This is what we keep to ourselves. The goal of the initiation is to break those masks and just show up as your true self. And if we showed up as our true self and really owned our story, we can accomplish anything we desire in our unique way. What does it mean to be wealthy?  There is something interesting that happens when the subject of money comes up in conversation. Some lean in with willingness to learn or share, and some retract or even sometimes can become defensive or closed off. It is a somewhat polarizing conversation, and it is in this dichotomy that I believe some of the keys lie to actually making money in the first place.  This week I talked with one of my best friends, an inspiring entrepreneur and coaches who I have the pleasure of creating and working with, not to mention someone who became a millionaire at 24 years old and has not only a deep understanding of money, but a desire to always be learning. Gerard Adams and I have had many conversations about wealth and money, and this week I invite you to join us in this conversation of wealth and what we have learned on the path to financial freedom.  We talk about: Gerards inspiring back story of making his first million at a young age, and what he learned as he reflects back now.  The mindset that it takes to attract wealth, and how it can sometimes take more than we bargain for.  Some of the ways we can not only become more of a match to wealth, but actually prepare ourselves for it.  Don't miss your opportunity to join both Adam Roa and Gerard Adams for there Leaders Create Leaders retreat in beautiful Tulum, Mexico. What does it take to really grow?  A few weeks ago I led a retreat with my good friend Gerard Adams in the jungles of Peru where we Dove about as Deep as one can go, in my opinion, and sat with Ayahuasca. Though I have sat with the medicine many times in my life, this experience itself was a first for me in that we were actually guided through the process of harvesting and making the medicine. The connection that this provided was powerful for everyone in the group, and though it was a beautiful and expansive experience, it left me in a place of deep integration that has been challenging.  This week I want to talk about my experience not only with the plant medicine, but also what it has brought up and why I have found it one of the more challenging integrations after a ceremony that I've been through. These types of medicine journeys are always confronting, healing, and particularly when we are going through times of transition in our lives they can bring to the surface much more than we might know is actually going on within us. Let me tell you all about it, on this week's episode.  If you would like to subscribe to my newsletter, where every week I break down my three C's (consciousness, creativity, and community), click the link. https://from.adamroa.com/newsletter  Can I text you? I've definitely been in Will's shoes before and it's a learning experience for all of us. Over the last 24 hours Will and Chris have issued apology letters to each other, the fans, academy, and the world. I loved the apology letters and ownership that was taken by Will and Chris. That's true leadership. Taking ownership for our mistakes and re committing to the healing and integrity. If you haven't yet here's what the apology letter stated:Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive. My behavior at last night's Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable. Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada's medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally.I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness. I would also like to apologize to the Academy, the producers of the show, all the attendees and everyone watching around the world. I would like to apologize to the Williams Family and my King Richard Family. I deeply regret that my behavior has stained what has been an otherwise gorgeous journey for all of us.I am a work in progress.Sincerely,WillLet me know your thoughts by leaving a review or mentioning me on Instagram @gerardadams for a feature.

Gerard Adams is known as The Millennial Mentor, a thought leader, serial entrepreneur, angel investor, and philanthropist and his purpose is to inspire other Millennials to leverage their passions to create the successful lifestyles they dream of. During this talk, Gerard and I went deep and he shared how it was not an easy path for him growing up. When he was still young, he said that he was such a rebel, a misfit and he got entangled with a lot of difficulties leading his life down the troubled path that so many of us can relate to. Tune in to find out what defining moment changed the trajectory of his life and how he became a self-made multimillionaire by the age of 24, but not without overcoming obstacles, fear, and self-doubt. As our conversation goes deeper, we talk about failures, leadership, and the true meaning of success and speak to the energy of Tony Robbins and how he says, "Success without fulfillment is the ultimate failure." At the end of the day, we can achieve the pinnacle of financial success but it won't matter if we don't feel any fulfillment at all - we still failed to serve our true purpose. As Gerard shares, "We all have our own unique path but there are certain systems, certain strategies, there's also real wisdom and experience that is out there that can help you to really step into your legend - that can really make you the best leader that you can be." What will you learn: •What is the mission behind Leaders Create Leaders. •What are the two (2) rules to leadership. •The true meaning of success for Gerard Adams. •How to activate your conscious leader within. •Gerard's valuable insights, profound wisdom, and core values. •What is The Machine and how it can help you to optimize and systemize the five (5) divisions of your business.
