Bitcoin is back above $110K, but analysts warn the market remains fragile. A $449M buy strategy and new SEC approvals have fueled hopes for a run toward $130K, while regulators tighten oversight with SEC/CFTC joint guidance. At the same time, Citi forecasts $5T in tokenized trading by 2030, and Ray Dalio warns of a looming U.S. debt crisis that could make Bitcoin and gold essential safe havens.

Both Biden and Trump thus far have told the public that there is no significant inflation and that the economy is growing. This is simply untrue. It's not even in their hands in the first place. DOGE ended up with the government spending more than it had previously despite being all about "cutting spending and waste." It has focused largely on spreading artificial intelligence with a $500 billion bill on day 2 of the administration following by over a trillion dollars more since between the Saudi deal and the Big Beautiful Bill. The US posted a $291 billion deficit in July, the highest for that month in 4 years. Spending was at levels only seen during emergency orders. US wholesale inflation had risen 3.3% in July surpassing forecasts as we are told inflation is falling, yet the products households need the most like cheaper food is growing in price constantly. The tariff central planning is also causing these prices to rise on top of money printing. Global food prices in general are skyrocketing as we see the supply chain collapse by design. Meanwhile, the Federal Reserve's gold revaluation plan to solve the debt crisis heats up which we delve into in this video as well. It's time to be real. Consistency is important. Neither Democrats nor Republicans are going to "fix" the economy with more central planning. The Fed has printed unfathomable amount of currency (debt) and this sudden notion for the sake of confirmation bias among people who used to follow the work of Ron Paul thinking that government is going to solve this problem by taxing the consumer is crazy. It is the opposite of what Dr. Paul talked about for decades. Are you preparing yourself? Or are you sitting on your hands waiting for politics to solve the problems of politics as the state and debt grows? Stay tuned for more from WAM! In this podcast interview, investment manager Lawrence Leperd discusses the current economic landscape, focusing on potential signs of a "crack-up boom" and the challenges facing the US monetary system. Leperd suggests we may be entering a period of significant economic transformation, characterized by record highs in stock markets, gold, and Bitcoin, while expressing skepticism about the stability of current financial structures. The discussion centers on the Federal Reserve's potential monetary policy shifts, with Leperd believing that a new dovish Fed chairman could lead to increased money printing and inflationary pressures. He anticipates a decade of high inflation and potentially significant economic restructuring. Leperd is particularly bullish on gold, silver, and Bitcoin as hedge assets, predicting gold could reach $5,000 and Bitcoin could hit hundreds of thousands of dollars. Leperd draws parallels between the current AI investment landscape and the dot-com bubble, warning that overinvestment in AI could potentially trigger a significant economic downturn. He also discusses the possibility of a gold revaluation, suggesting that the government might eventually reset gold's value as a way to address mounting national debt. Regarding gold and silver mining stocks, Leperd sees tremendous potential for growth. He highlights that these stocks have significantly underperformed the metal prices and believes they could potentially double in the next 12-18 months as investors recognize the long-term upward trajectory of precious metals. The interview concludes with Leperd promoting his book, "The Big Print," which explores the current monetary system's challenges and offers strategies for protecting wealth during potential economic instability. His core message emphasizes the need to return to a sound money standard and prepare for potential inflationary pressures. Throughout the discussion, Leperd maintains a cautious but optimistic tone, acknowledging economic uncertainties while believing that sound assets like gold and Bitcoin offer protection against potential systemic financial challenges.
The Federal Reserve is quietly preparing for a potential U.S. gold revaluation-a move that could instantly rewrite the value of America's gold reserves, devalue the dollar, and shake the global monetary system to its core. We are entering the final stages of the dollar's life cycle. The question isn't if the system changes-it's how soon.Questions on Protecting Your Wealth with Gold & Silver? HELP SUPPORT US AS WE DOCUMENT HISTORY HERE: https://gogetfunding.com/help-keep-wam-alive/# Josh Sigurdson talks with Mark Gonzales about the record breaking issuance of Treasury Bills at $100 Billion as the US debt crisis turns desperate. This move is only done in a major emergency, so what are they not telling us? First of all, dollar dominance is collapsing, the Fed's reverse repo facility is draining, liquidity risks are growing but also, the United States faces a $37 trillion debt and growing. If you add together all obligations, it's closer to $151 trillion. The global GDP is $75 trillion. Meanwhile, it just so happens that the new digital CBDC system is being introduced under the guise of "Stable Coins" with the GENIUS Act which utilizes KYC to track you. This isn't a coincidence. It is not possible economically to avoid the consequences of a debt this large, regardless of the president. This is an issue intrinsic to the central planning ideology that cannot be avoided. However, it is going to continue to weigh down massively and be shifted onto the consumer going forward. This will affect the money you have in the bank. In fact, Basel 3 was issued last year to 63 central banks. This means bail-ins can happen at any time under emergency orders and your bank account can be drained to pay for debts in bankruptcy. The FDIC itself is bankrupt by the way. Considering most banks have a cash to deposit ratio of between under 1% and 3%, we are already seeing insolvency. People need to step out of the traditional financial system and hold wealth insurance which can set them free from the coming collapse which happens over years and we've witnessed that. We are just witnessing the end point following years of being normalized to it. Prepare yourselves. Stay tuned for more from WAM! Conservative economist Jessica Riedl joins Margaret Hoover to talk about tariffs, tax cuts, and the threat of the growing national debt. She explains why President Trump's tariffs have not yet upended the economy and why she believes American consumers will ultimately bear the costs of Trump's policies.Riedl, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, assesses the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and argues it is unlikely to produce the rapid economic growth the White House has predicted. She discusses a potential debt crisis and the reforms to Medicare and Social Security that could help avert it, as well as the political obstacles standing in the way.Riedl has spent more than 20 years in Republican economic policy circles–including advising Mitt Romney and Marco Rubio's presidential campaigns–and she reflects on how the party's embrace of populism under Trump has left traditional conservatives like her politically “homeless.”Riedl emphasizes the importance of the Federal Reserve's independence, envisions how GOP economic policy may evolve after Trump leaves office, and expresses some hope for the country's fiscal future.Support for Firing Line with Margaret Hoover is provided by Robert Granieri, The Tepper Foundation, Vanessa and Henry Cornell, The Fairweather Foundation, and Pritzker Military Foundation.

Ray White speaks to Sibongile Simelane, Executive Director at the South African Responsible Gambling Foundation, as concerns mount over South Africa’s spiralling gambling addiction. More than R1.1 trillion has been lost not on food, housing, or education but on gambling, much of it online and via mobile phones. With even teenagers getting hooked, and reports of SASSA grants and loans being used to fund bets, the human cost is rising: debt, depression, and despair. As the gambling industry booms, we ask: who’s protecting the vulnerable? What role is the government playing? And what impact is this silent epidemic having on our already fragile economy? 702 Breakfast with Bongani Bingwa is broadcast on 702, a Johannesburg based talk radio station. It was a week that brought the future of Greece and the Eurozone to the brink. Ten years ago, on 6 July the Greek people voted against the terms of a financial bailout which included raising taxes and slashing welfare spending. Greece owed €323bn to various countries and banks within Europe. Its banks were closed. A quarter of the population and half of Greece's young people were unemployed. The morning after the vote, Euclid Tsakalotos was brought in to replace Yanis Varoufakis as finance minister. His predecessor had accused European leaders of “terrorism” in their handling of the crisis. Parachuted in to last-ditch talks with angry European leaders, Euclid Tsakalotos describes to Josephine McDermott the make-or-break 17-hour summit in Brussels. He reveals that when Angela Merkel, the leader of Greece's biggest lender Germany, said she was leaving the room because she could not accept what was on the table, Donald Tusk, president of the European Council, actually locked the door to stop her leaving and force an agreement to be reached. Eye-witness accounts brought to life by archive. Witness History is for those fascinated by the past. We take you to the events that have shaped our world through the eyes of the people who were there. For nine minutes every day, we take you back in time and all over the world, to examine wars, coups, scientific discoveries, cultural moments and much more. Recent episodes explore everything from football in Brazil, the history of the ‘Indian Titanic' and the invention of air fryers, to Public Enemy's Fight The Power, subway art and the political crisis in Georgia. We look at the lives of some of the most famous leaders, artists, scientists and personalities in history, including: visionary architect Antoni Gaudi and the design of the Sagrada Familia; Michael Jordan and his bespoke Nike trainers; Princess Diana at the Taj Mahal; and Görel Hanser, manager of legendary Swedish pop band Abba on the influence they've had on the music industry. You can learn all about fascinating and surprising stories, such as the time an Iraqi journalist hurled his shoes at the President of the United States in protest of America's occupation of Iraq; the creation of the Hollywood commercial that changed advertising forever; and the ascent of the first Aboriginal MP.(Photo: A queue outside a bank in Greece in 2015. Matthew Piepenburg believes there's a connection between escalating global conflict, insane levels of government debt, and overinflated financial markets, and he sees a massive debt crisis on the horizon that could wipe out wealth in the blink of an eye. Matthew explains why gold could be the last asset standing as the rest of the market collapses, his views on silver and why it could speed past gold, the trillions of cracks he's watching in the financial system and the catalysts that could make them break, and much more.Get Your Commodity Culture Merch: https://commodity-culture-shop.fourthwall.comVon Greyerz: https://vongreyerz.goldFollow Jesse Day on X: https://x.com/jessebdayCommodity Culture on Youtube: https://youtube.com/c/CommodityCulture
Spain's head of international financing has told UN News that after deep uncertainty at the beginning of the year when power changed hands in Washington, the financing for development conference taking place in Sevilla has shown than multilateralism is “back on track.”Inés Carpio told Matt Wells in the southern Spanish city that she was very optimistic coming out of the conference, when a platform for action was a major part of the outcome document, adopted on day one.She explained how Spain and other countries were coming together to help relieve the developing world of its crushing debt burden and taking other immediate steps to accelerate action towards the Sustainable Development Goals.
In case you haven't noticed, the market's been in a rally ever since the April lows. Investor sentiment is finally turning more extreme-bullish. The whole Tariff thing is not A Thing; the Debt Crisis is not A Thing; World War 3 is not A Thing. Investors are starting to look past all this, and sentiment is on the rise. Markets on Wednesday knocked on the door of another all-time high; the NASDAQ achieved that milestone. Again. And it is possible the S&P will set a new, all-time high this week. Under the surface, things are over bought but not extremely stretched. July tends to be an event stronger month; August/September tend to be a lot weaker. If there is a risk of another correction, it will probably happen in August or September; not likely in July. Of note have been oil prices, seeing a sharp spike after the Israel/Iran conflict and the Iran bombings, but then falling equally as quickly. Oil prices have collapsed, sitting on support at the 50-DMA, and still on a sell signal. It would be no surprise to see oil bounce a bit from this level, but prices are going to remain stuck in the $60/bbl range for a while. Oil prices are being more reflective of economic data, which is showing sluggishness in the economy: Reduced economic demand = reduced demand for oil. Oil pries are actually telling us a lot about the economy, heading into the Summer. We’re experimenting with something. As we work toward a complete breakdown of the federal budget in a comprehensive essay and companion episode, we’re bringing our audience into the content creation process. We have a feeling this is going to be one of our behemoth entries into the canon (and potentially a two-parter.) So rather than overwhelm everyone with information in one shot, we thought it would be useful to break it apart as we go. The first two entries made it to YouTube already but I’m packaging them up in a single episode today. The first is how the GOP budget disproportionately impacts red states. And not in a good way. The second brings us back to our Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) discussions and reframes the way we think about the national debt. Both are crucial building blocks in our understanding of the federal budget. Access the episode resources. The House of Representatives has passed Donald Trump's “Big Beautiful Bill” and now the Senate is pondering its version. Chief among the concerns for some senators is how much it will add to the federal debt. Already at $36 trillion, how much is too much? Are we on the brink of a major fiscal crisis? On this episode of Free Expression, Bridgewater founder and investor Ray Dalio talks to Gerry Baker about the risks of a debt calamity if bond markets take fright. They also talk about his new book, “How Countries Go Broke: The Big Cycle”, which chronicles the history of governments with unsustainable debt and offers his “3%”, three-part solution for ensuring fiscal health. America is no longer a doormat. Glenn praises the work of Secretary of State Marco Rubio for putting America's interests first. Glenn reviews Secretary Rubio's latest Substack post, highlighting the need for civilizational allies in Europe. Glenn speaks on the importance of truth in a society constantly struggling to find truth. But does truth matter when nobody ever faces consequences for their crimes? The Department of Justice, which tried to prosecute American citizens, refused to prosecute its own despite blatant evidence of perjury. Justice must come back for anybody who breaks the law, including high-ranking politicians. Glenn explains why it's critical that Congress make the DOGE cuts permanent. Congress raising the debt ceiling is not averting a crisis but prolonging it. Glenn and Stu discuss the latest judicial overreach as a federal judge is trying to keep Trump's tariffs from going into effect. In a major win for children's safety, HHS Secretary RFK Jr. is urging health care providers to stop advocating for puberty blockers in children. Glenn and Stu discuss how Biden's presidency was orchestrated to be a puppet presidency from the beginning. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The Bitcoin Alpha podcast explores the macroeconomic forces driving Bitcoin's evolution as a neutral reserve asset. Treasury Secretary Bessent's pivot from tariffs to growth-focused fiscal policy signals inevitable monetary expansion as US debt sustainability reaches critical levels. Japan's yield curve crisis threatens $1.2 trillion in Treasury holdings while Bitcoin demonstrates remarkable resilience during market volatility. The discussion covers Bitcoin treasury companies like MicroStrategy flooding public markets, stablecoin regulation priorities, and institutional adoption trends. With 30-day volatility near one-year lows and the longest streak above $100K in Bitcoin's history, the risk-reward setup appears historically favorable as traditional financial systems face mounting pressure.
The U.S. national debt has surpassed $36 trillion, prompting Moody's to downgrade America's credit rating and setting off a sharp selloff in stocks and bonds. In a searing monologue, this episode tackles explosive DOJ revelations, including admissions from the H.E.R. Tapes and the shocking confirmation that former FBI leadership will face no charges for their role in the Russia collusion hoax due to expired statutes of limitations. The show also dives into the economic abyss as Moody's downgrades the U.S. credit rating, exposing a bipartisan willingness to go broke. Chip Roy and other GOP truth-tellers are punished, while both parties embrace runaway spending. Featuring damning clips of Kash Patel and Dan Bongino, this episode lays bare the political and financial recklessness threatening America's future—and the chilling silence from those who once vowed accountability.
The Republican-led Congress continues to try to find a consensus on the ‘Big, Beautiful Bill' and what should and should not be in it. Many people on Capitol Hill have been concerned about what they call America's national debt crisis. Texas Republican Congressman Jodey Arrington is one of them, and he recently joined Fox News Rundown host Gurnal Scott to discuss why the budget bill being negotiated must include significant spending reductions and entitlement reforms. The chairman of the House Budget Committee argues that our country's debt is unsustainable and that drastic action is required. We often must cut interviews short during the week, but we thought you might like to hear the full interview. Today on Fox News Rundown Extra, we will share our entire interview with Rep. Jodey Arrington and let you hear more about his concerns over America's debt and what he says needs to be done to address it. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
On Friday, President Trump proposed his fiscal year 2026 skinny budget plan, which calls for spending reductions across the U.S. government. It proposes reducing non-defense discretionary spending to combat the national debt crisis. Budget Committee Chairman Jodey Arrington (R-TX) joins the Rundown to discuss the need to address the growing national debt and unsustainable deficit spending. The Congressman outlines key ideas to guide the reconciliation process, including a top-to-bottom audit, removing waste, fraud, and abuse, and reforming entitlement programs. Cash payments seem to be going the way of the past, yet a cashless society isn't without its consequences, says Boston University Questrom School of Business Professor Jay Zagorksky. Zagorsky has studied the various consequences the disappearance of cash will have on society in his book, “The Power of Cash.” He joins the podcast to explain why America loves cashless payments, the various ways using cash benefits each of us, and his case for keeping physical dollars and coins in circulation.
