The U.S. debt crisis is spiraling and Larry McDonald says the market hasn't priced it in. With over $37 trillion in debt and $1 trillion in annual interest payments, the U.S. is barreling toward what McDonald calls a “Liz Truss moment”: a surge in bond issuance that could trigger market chaos. In this eye-opening interview, The Bear Traps Report founder and bestselling author joins James Connor to explain why we're entering a stagflationary regime eerily similar to the 1970s and why your portfolio needs to adapt. Topics discussed in part I: Why the U.S. faces a debt-driven crisis of confidence The real S&P 500 earnings (hint: it's not $270, but much lower) A $4 trillion rotation out of Big Tech How capital is fleeing U.S. markets and into global value Why hard assets like gold, oil, copper, and coal are set to outperform What “financial repression” means for your money Don't miss part II of this insightful and actionable interview coming out tomorrow! Kerry Lutz and John Rubino discussed the recent significant price increases in gold and copper, both reaching all-time highs. John highlighted that gold has outperformed the S&P 500 over the past two decades, while copper's importance is growing due to its role in energy transitions and AI technologies. They noted favorable conditions for mining stocks, which are benefiting from rising metal prices and stable costs. Sandstorm Gold was mentioned as a company positioned for growth, focusing on reducing debt and increasing cash flow from higher sales. The conversation also included a cautionary note about the necessity for major mining companies to pursue mergers and acquisitions to address depleting reserves. The performance of gold, silver, the S&P 500, and tech stocks since 1999 was analyzed, revealing that gold yielded about 9% compared to the S&P 500's 5%. John explained that the liquidity injected into the economy has inflated asset prices, suggesting that some overvalued assets may be due for a crash. Historical trends indicate that tech stocks, after a period of high returns, often experience significant declines. Lutz agreed, emphasizing that even high-quality tech stocks can drop dramatically when overvalued, highlighting the need for caution among investors. John expressed optimism about gold and silver's future performance, advising investors to maintain a diverse portfolio in the mining sector and to consider cashing out during acquisitions. Lutz pointed out the mixed success of major mining companies with acquisitions, often leading to overpayment for assets. The discussion also touched on the broader economic landscape, including unprecedented government debt and spending patterns, with concerns about how this liquidity could impact financial assets, potentially leading to inflation or boosting speculative stocks. The conversation shifted to the pervasive fraud in government funding, particularly through NGOs, and the financial benefits for individuals in the political and expert classes. They critiqued the cycle of dependency and corruption that arises from large sums of money being funneled back into political campaigns. Additionally, they proposed the creation of a museum dedicated to corruption in Washington, D.C., envisioning it as both a serious proposal and a satirical commentary on political issues. The discussion concluded with a focus on the lucrative potential of selling citizenship cards, reflecting a shift in the perception of citizenship as a valuable brand. She discusses whether China is still worth investing in, which specific area of the Chinese market looks most promising, and what's going on right now in China's property sector. Charlene also goes in depth on President Donald Trump's tariffs that will impact China and what the administration is potentially hoping to gain in negotiations. (1:41) Next, Charlene explores India's weaknesses versus China in becoming a global manufacturing hub – this includes its bureaucracy, onerous labor laws, and lack of infrastructure. She says that India is currently where China was in the 1990s, and the country will require much more development and investment to catch up. Charlene then talks about the good and bad economic effects of China's communist government, China's looming debt crisis, and how the average Chinese consumer differs from an American one. (19:57) Finally, Charlene examines China's demographics and explains why she believes the country's population will fall 60% to 70% by the year 2100. However, despite birth rates dropping, AI and technology may be able to make up for the declining number of humans in manufacturing roles and fill those gaps for several decades. And Charlene closes the conversation by urging U.S. investors not to worry too much about the Trump tariffs just yet, as there may be a method to the madness. (41:55)

Debt crisis in the bond market Rachel Reeves flies off to China £3 trillion national debt rising by £5170 per second Higher taxes, low investment, slow growth GDP per capital lower that 17 years ago. Is Great Britain Finished? The Debt Crisis Unveiled As the UK faces mounting economic challenges, many are asking, "Is Great Britain finished?" The debt crisis in the bond market, combined with political and economic turmoil, paints a grim picture. Debt Crisis in the Bond Market The national debt has surpassed a staggering £3 trillion and is rising by £5,170 every second. With interest rates climbing, servicing this debt becomes increasingly expensive, putting immense pressure on the government’s budget. The bond market, a critical mechanism for financing this debt, is showing signs of instability as investor confidence wanes. Rachel Reeves Flies to China While Britain’s economic foundations tremble, Shadow Chancellor Rachel Reeves’s recent visit to China raises questions. Is Britain looking outward for economic salvation, or is this a sign of deeper dependency on foreign powers? Higher Taxes, Low Investment, and Slow Growth The current economic model is under strain. Higher taxes have stifled consumer spending and business investment, leading to sluggish growth. The result? A GDP per capita that is now lower than it was 17 years ago, reflecting stagnation in living standards and economic opportunity. A Nation at a Crossroads With its economic future uncertain, Britain must address these pressing issues. A strategy to boost investment, foster innovation, and balance fiscal policy is essential to restore confidence and drive growth. BUY GOLD HERE: https://firstnationalbullion.com/schedule-consult/ Work with Mark Gonzales! Escape CBDCs! Josh Sigurdson talks with Mark Gonzales about the massive debt crisis affecting not just the government but the mega banks and of course most importantly, households. Major red flags are being raised over consumer credit card debt as we see major recession signals. The recession from 2008 never ended, it's just been papered over, but now the bubble is clearly bursting. Retirements are in danger, the housing market is in danger and of course all of this is by design. Meanwhile, new Federal Reserve research papers show that banks are insolvent and simply do not have liquidity and are totally undercapitalized. This does not come as a surprise to us as we've been warning of this for years but it means something when the Fed is forced to admit it. The FDIC which may actually be abolished as we've previously reported cannot cover the losses and the FDIC itself is indeed bankrupt. This signals a major banking collapse and bank runs to come. This is also the perfect open door for the World Economic Forum agenda to bring in a cashless, technocratic system with CBDCs and digital IDs! Also, the 5 year and 10 year trend for the gold/dollar ratio as well as the silver/dollar ratio backs what we've been trying to say for a long time. There is a real escape plan on the table and it depends on whether or not you take it seriously. Clearly we're at a breaking point both with the economy and the markets. The episode explores whether the proposed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) will move the needle when it comes to the U.S. debt crisis. Some people see DOGE as the bold move America needs to solve its looming debt crisis. Elon Musk believes that DOGE can rip out at least $2 trillion out of the $6.5 trillion Biden-Harris budget – however, David McKnight disagrees. David gives a breakdown of the federal budget, including the so-called non-discretionary spending. Former U.S. Comptroller General David Walker shares his thoughts on what he sees as the potential impact of DOGE on the federal deficit. David explains that, unless actions are taken right away, Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid will eventually bankrupt America. Moreover, the more time passes with the Federal Government failing to dramatically scale back such programs, the more onerous and draconian the fix will be on the back end. Does David see DOGE as being able to move the needle on solving the national debt crisis? “Probably not,” he says.     Mentioned in this episode: David's upcoming book: The Guru Gap: How America's Financial Gurus Are Leading You Astray, and How to Get Back on Track David's books: Power of Zero, Look Before You LIRP, The Volatility Shield, Tax-Free Income for Life and The Infinity Code DavidMcKnight.com DavidMcKnightBooks.com PowerOfZero.com (free 3-part video series) @mcknightandco on Twitter  @davidcmcknight on Instagram David McKnight on YouTube Get David's Tax-free Tool Kit at taxfreetoolkit.com DOGE Donald Trump Elon Musk Vivek Ramaswamy David M. World renowned Classics and Military historian Victor Davis Hanson joins me on today's show. Two things have been confirmed about the mystery drones in New Jersey, the government knows exactly what is going on and President Trump knows what is happening as well. Why aren't they being upfront with the public, because it's most likely another embarrassing blunder from the Biden administration. As President Trump gets ready to take office, Victor unpacks the looming debt and deficit crisi he is about to inherit. Americ'as interest on debt is larger than its defense spending and for civilizations of the past, it spells the beginning of the end. Even worse, Biden is still proving no one hates the American people more than him as he auctions off the unused border wall materials at pennies on the dollar. Thankfully, Joe will be gone soon and Obama has proven just how out of touch he really is... Is the madness finally over? They are hedging their bets and funds on this prediction. In this episode, we discuss why this will happen, what has led to it, and what it may look like. Stormy says that a silver lining of this is that the Trump administration seems to at least care and seems to be equipped to handle such a crisis better than the "leadership" that the US has had in previous decades. Why is it going to be much worse for Europe than it will be for the US? We discuss it in this episode. This creates another paradox, one where that mainstream criticism does a lot to discredit all criticism thereby making even more debt likely.  Eurodollar University's Money & Macro AnalysisMilton Friedman Newsweek February 1981https://miltonfriedman.hoover.org/internal/media/dispatcher/214251/fullhttps://www.eurodollar.universityTwitter: https://twitter.com/JeffSnider_EDU

The outlook for a Republican Senate majority in 2025 is improving.Next, they groan as new numbers and projections from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) show a $1.8 trillion deficit for this past fiscal year and an even bigger one expected for the year to come. The figures also show that just paying the interest on the debt cost taxpayers $892 billion in Fiscal Year 2024 and will be more than a trillion dollars next year. It's unsustainable and neither party cares. Finally, they chronicle the horrible week for CBS News. This includes network management chastising "CBS This Morning" Co-Host Tony Dokoupil for asking some tough questions of Ta-Nehisi Coates about his new book that's very hostile towards Israel,  "60 Minutes" egregiously editing the interview with Kamala Harris, and network brass telling reporters not to say that Jerusalem is in Israel. Please visit our great sponsors:BetterHelphttps://betterhelp.com/3MLVisit the 3ML website for 10% of your first month.  Zbioticshttps://zbiotics.com/3MLUse code 3ML at checkout to save 15% off your first order.
