We are hitting the road for this month's episode of The Cycling Podcast Féminin. Join Rose Manley and Denny Gray in their little Bar Tabac just a stone's throw from the famous Paris Roubaix cobbles. They'll be calling up Rebecca Charlton to collectively cast an eye over this season's early Classics. Talk inevitably turns to SD Worx who have been the most successful of the teams so far, although they certainly haven't had it all their way. Their stars Lotte Kopecky and Lorena Wiebes have managed some mighty solo wins, often without the powerful team support that we've come to expect. Plus we transport our listeners to the pavé of Northern France in our mini feature. Follow along with Rose and Denny in a mad dash to the velodrome as they cover Paris-Roubaix Femmes. Soak up the atmosphere and hear from the likes of Paris-Roubaix debutant Imogen Wolff, former men's champion Magnus Backstedt and former Pédaleuse de Charme Marthe Truyen. We'll also be looking ahead to what is set to be a thrilling Ardennes Classic season with the return of the gripping rivalry between Anna Van der Breggen and Demi Vollering. Also on the agenda: good luck high fives, a mystery butterfly and Denny's got his crystal balls out again. After three explosive editions since the inaugural women's race in 2021, expectations were high for the 2024 race. The odds were in Lidl-Trek's favour having taken the win twice before. However, Team SD Worx were looking for revenge after being kept off the podium at last week's Tour of Flanders with World Champion Lotte Kopecky hoping to continue her string of impressive results. I just loved having Alison on Life in the Peloton so much last week, I decided to get her back for this episode of Talking Luft! I know you loved hearing all about her epic Paris Roubaix Femmes win this year, and how she became only the third-ever winner of the event. She has since been dubbed Miss Paris Roubaix (by me), for the commanding style in which she won. Of course, we chat a bit more about that epic win, as well as dig into the really important questions in true TL style, plus I throw a few extra cobble-related questions Alison´s way. The big stuff, like rice or pasta (she´s introduced me to the idea of rice with maple syrup), world champ style (all rainbow, why not), I get some insight into some of her pre-race rituals and learn a few new Canadian terms that describe how she would choose to wear her hair in the pre-helmet golden days of cycling. She´s a lover of bucket hats and coffee stops, a drinker of black coffee and cortados, and unsurprisingly, she will take racing over training any day. But don´t take my word for it, sit back and enjoy the listen and get to know more about the legend Alison Jackson, as she gets the full TL treatment! Cheers, Mitch

After a series of attacks and a key collision at Carrefour de l'Arbre, van der Poel capitalized on rival Wout van Aert's puncture to gain an advantage and ultimately win the race. Despite the intense competition, van der Poel expressed sympathy for van Aert's misfortune and praised his team's performance, with teammate Jasper Philipsen finishing second. Alison Jackson from EF Education–Tibco–SVB claimed a surprising victory at Paris-Roubaix Femmes as the breakaway group narrowly held off the chasing pack. Despite their lead being cut to just 10 seconds, the seven-strong breakaway reached the Roubaix Velodrome, where Jackson prevailed in a thrilling sprint finish. Life is unpredictable and crazy, and very rarely, if ever, does it go to plan. Professional cyclist Lizzie Deignan can undoubtedly attest to this. When asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Becoming a cyclist was never in her vocabulary; however, life had other plans. In the latest episode of "Better with Bikes," hosts Eric Bjorling and Richie Burke interview World Champion, Olympic medalist, four-time British National Champion, and 2021 Paris-Roubaix Femmes winner, Lizzie Deignan. They cover everything from her surprising introduction to cycling, the decision to have a child mid-career, and making history with the 2021 Paris-Roubaix win.Though Lizzie has accomplished much throughout her career, she is far from over. She has a second child on the way but mentioned she's far from retiring and looking forward to the next adventure. Lizzie Deignan has proven herself to be a trailblazer in women's cycling and women's sports; we are proud to have her representing our team, and we look forward to what she will accomplish in the future. For more Better with Bikes content: https://www.instagram.com/trekbikes/

Website: www.verakoedooder.nlInstagram: www.instagram.com/verakoedooderFacebook: www.facebook.com/VeraKoedooderTwitter: www.twitter.com/Vera_KoedooderLinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/vera-koedooder-32704810/
