We are hitting the road for this month's episode of The Cycling Podcast Féminin. Join Rose Manley and Denny Gray in their little Bar Tabac just a stone's throw from the famous Paris Roubaix cobbles. They'll be calling up Rebecca Charlton to collectively cast an eye over this season's early Classics. Talk inevitably turns to SD Worx who have been the most successful of the teams so far, although they certainly haven't had it all their way. Their stars Lotte Kopecky and Lorena Wiebes have managed some mighty solo wins, often without the powerful team support that we've come to expect. Plus we transport our listeners to the pavé of Northern France in our mini feature. Follow along with Rose and Denny in a mad dash to the velodrome as they cover Paris-Roubaix Femmes. Soak up the atmosphere and hear from the likes of Paris-Roubaix debutant Imogen Wolff, former men's champion Magnus Backstedt and former Pédaleuse de Charme Marthe Truyen. We'll also be looking ahead to what is set to be a thrilling Ardennes Classic season with the return of the gripping rivalry between Anna Van der Breggen and Demi Vollering. Also on the agenda: good luck high fives, a mystery butterfly and Denny's got his crystal balls out again. Join Rose Manley and Denny Gray in the André Pétrieux velodrome as they record their post-race reaction to the fifth edition of Paris-Roubaix Femmes Avec Zwift.

The Odd Tandem Cycling Podcast with Bobby Julich and Jens Voigt
With the close of the season in 2024, Coryn Labecki called time on her extraordinary career. With national titles on the road, TT, criterium, track and cyclocross from junior level to elite Coryn has gathered one of the most extraordinary palmares we've seen. That's before we mention her monument win, where Coryn beat the likes of Annemiek van Vleuten, Lotte Kopecky and Elisa Longo Borghini to the Tour of Flanders title in 2017 - becoming the first American woman to do so. Coryn joins us to reflect on her career, to look forward to the future and find out what she's change to the sport that she loves. The Odd Tandem is a Shocked Giraffe production. This episode was produced by Mark Payne. The music was composed and performed by Taylor Phinney. Head over to Patreon.com/OddTandem to hear an ad-free version of the podcast.
After a decent success rate last year, the Toms are back gazing into the crystal ball with some bold predictions for 2025. Among the clairvoyance, a French pocket rocket is slated for big success, the stars align for a historic one-two at the Giro d'Italia, and Lotte Kopecky is tipped to achieve greatness. Plus, might we see a British Monument winner this April? Tom 1 thinks so, and is even happy to go as far as calling the rider-race combo he envisages in his mind. Tadej Pogacar e Lotte Kopecky levaram os principais prêmios no Velo d'Or 2024. Surpresa? Nenhuma.

In this episode of How the Race Was Won, Dane Cash and Cosmo Catalano break down the thrilling action from the 2024 UCI Road World Championships in Zurich, Switzerland. The men's elite race was dominated by an (un?)expected 100km solo breakaway from Tadej Pogačar, who secured his third major win of the year and completed the coveted Triple Crown of Giro/Tour/Worlds. Dane and Cosmo analyze Pogačar's bold strategy, the chaotic chase behind him, and the impressive teamwork displayed by the small Slovenian squad. They also discuss the performances of other favorites like Remco Evenepoel, highlighting the lack of coordination in the chase group that ultimately led to Pogačar's victory. In the women's elite race, Lotte Kopecky successfully defended her title, showcasing her resilience by recovering from being dropped late in the race and winning in a sprint finish. The podcast concludes with a look ahead to Il Lombardia, where Pogačar will defend his title wearing the newly acquired rainbow jersey.

The Cycling Podcast Féminin is back! Returning for the first time since the Tour de France Femmes, Rose Manley and Denny Gray are this month joined by double Olympic gold medallist Jo Rowsell. We look back at the Tour de Romandie where Team SD Worx's Lotte Kopecky dramatically took the overall win at the expense of usual stage racing leader Demi Vollering, doing nothing to quell rumours of a shift at the team. We dig into some of the transfer speculation that has been rife among the women's peloton and we look ahead to the World Championships at the end of September, picking out our top contenders for the relentlessly punchy parcours. Our mini feature this month is on riders who grew up far from the traditional cycling heartlands. Kim Le Court of Mauritius, Antri Christoforou of Cyprus and Catalina Soto of Chile reveal their journeys to the professional ranks and what it is like to line up at most races as the sole representative for their nations. Plus Jo faces the big question on everybody's lips: is Belgium a cheese country? In this week's Cycling Newsflash: Mark Hirschi wins in Italy, Lotte Kopecky wins her first European Title, and Tom Pidcock withdraws from the Canadian Grand Prix
In this Arrivée episode from The Cycling Podcast Féminin, Rose Manley and The British Continental's Denny Gray take a closer look at the women's Olympic road race. With spectacular views, an iconic Eiffel Tower finish and a punchy parcours, the race promised to be one to remember. A number of hot favourites led the field. Lotte Kopecky, the Belgian superstar who has made no secret of her Olympic ambitions faced the likes of Team SD Worx teammates Demi Vollering and Lorena Wiebes - part of a Dutch team stacked with talent. But this is the Olympics and riders would do well to remember Anna Kiesenhofer's surprise win in Tokyo. The win really could come from anywhere. Loren, Tilda and Abby are joined by Gracie (finally!) to chat about the Giro d'Italia's placement on the calendar, it's overlap with the men's Tour and the lack of coverage. Plus what Lotte Kopecky's new skills mean for SD Worx-Protime's future and what Elisa Longo Borghini leaving Lidl-Trek will mean for the American team and the team she's joining.Obsessions: Abby - the dress worn by Biniam Girmay's wife at the Tour podium, Gracie - her newborn son Noah!, Tilda - America's Sweethearts, Loren - the weather in Belgium right now
We're dragging listeners back to Italy as The Cycling Podcast Féminin tackles the Giro d'Italia Women, which was won in spectacular fashion by Elisa Longo Borghini. Rose Manley is joined by Denny Gray and special guest ex-Olympian Joanna Rowsell to pull out all the biggest headlines from the race. For our mini feature, we use the anticipated return of Anna van der Breggen to the women's peloton as a springboard to find out what it takes to retire from racing and come back. Rose speaks to Ruth Edwards née Winder who retired in the same year as Van der Breggen only to return this season in flying form, already claiming a title in Thüringen and two podium finishes at the Giro. Edwards' breakthrough wasn't the only story of the race as the second Grand Tour of the women's calendar proved to be every bit as thrilling and hard-fought as it had promised. We witnessed the birth of a new rivalry between eventual winner Elisa Longo Borghini and all-round superstar Lotte Kopecky who trailed the Italian by only one second going into the final day. There was plenty of interest elsewhere as well with seven different teams sharing the stage victories at the race and the emergence of some new names to the roll of honour. Another great episode this week with Abby Mickey, Loren Rowney and Gracie Elvin. They talked about Classic Brugge-De Panne and Gent-Wevelgem, specifically SD Worx-Protime's tactics and the sprint finish where Lotte Kopecky made the difference for Lorena Wiebes. In order to really pick apart the sprint finish on Sunday they watched it live while recording. Our mini-feature this month focuses on the final riders to complete Paris-Roubaix. Riders who have had to overcome difficult circumstances to reach the end of one of the most formidable races in cycling, even when they finished way outside of the time limit. We speak to Ilaria Sanguineti, Eluned King and Senne Knaven about what motivated them to push past crashes, injuries and calamitous conditions to reach the famed velodrome and what it is like to ride the famous cobbles once the race is already long gone. We also have plenty of race analysis from the first few Classics of the season. Rose Manley is joined by Denny Gray and Rebecca Charlton to pick apart what could be a changing of the guard at the top of the women's peloton. Elisa Balsamo outsprinted rider-of-the-moment Lotte Kopecky to take the spoils at Trofeo Binda after a huge effort from her team. With Lidl-Trek finally taking the top spot after improving results and rising confidence, we ask: what gave Lidl-Trek the winning edge and could it finally end SD Worx's winning dominance? We also discuss Ellen Van Dijk's victorious return from maternity leave, pick out rising stars Mareille Meijering and Puck Pieterse, and make a rare detour on to the track to reflect on Laura Kenny's golden career following her retirement. We're looking at motherhood in our February episode of The Cycling Podcast Féminin. With Ellen Van Dijk's much-anticipated return from maternity leave on the horizon, we explore the growing trend of racers returning to the peloton post-baby. Rose Manley speaks to Lizzie Deignan, one of the first women to be supported by her team to a return to racing and her agent Emma Wade, as well as new mum and Uno-X rider Joss Lowden, former Trek-Segafredo rider Abi Van Twisk and former British champion Meg Backstedt (née Hughes). Rose is also joined by Orla Chennaoui and Denny Gray to look at the recent racing, most notably a rare debut win for the GOAT Marianne Vos at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. Discussion descends into bickering as the team try to decide how well Lidl-Trek played their tactics at the race after finishing third and fourth. We also ponder Lotte Kopecky's recent transformation after showing off her climbing legs on the UAE Tour's Jebel Hafeet and wonder how that might affect a seemingly tense relationship with teammate Demi Vollering.
