Tonight Ring of Honor, a promotion that paved the way for so many of today's top WWE and AEW stars such as Jay Lethal, Samoa Joe, Adam Cole, Bryan Danielson, Brodie Lee, CM Punk, Kenny Omega, and AJ Styles, will have its final show before going on hiatus. Ring Of Honor “Final Battle” takes place live from Baltimore Maryland and is headlined by Jay Lethal and Jonathan Greshman for the original ROH World Championship. Mark and Jay Briscoe battle for the OGK (Matt Tavern and Mike Bennett) for the ROH World Tag Team Championships. Chelsea Green and The Hex (Allysin Kay and Marti Belle) find themselves in six women tag team action against. Miranda Alize and The Allure (Angelina Love and Mandy Leon). The Righteous (Vincent, Bateman, and Dutch) (with Vita VonStarr) look to become the New ROH World Six Man Tag Team Champions as they take on Shane Taylor Promotions (Kaun, Moses and O'Shay Edwards) (with Ron Hunt). The ROH Women's Championship is on the line when Rok-C defends against Willow Nightingale. Dalton Castle defends his ROH World Television Championship in a Four Corner Survival match against Rhett Titus, Silas Young and Joe Hendry. Brian Johnson looks to capture the ROH Pure Championship from Josh Woods. Kenny King and Shane Taylor will clash in a Fight Without Honor match.Eli Isom, Taylor Rust, and Tracy Williams find themselves across the ring from VLNCE UNLTD (Brody King, Homicide, and Tony Deppen) in a six man tag team match. Dragon Lee and Rey Horus do battle on this massive show as well. Will Ring Of Honor be back in April of 2022? Or will it take longer for the top independent wrestling promotion to return? This past weekend NXT held their annual WarGames event inside the Capitol Wrestling Center. Was this the last NXT pay-per-view event for Johnny Gargano and Kyle O'Reilly? It has been well publicized that Johnny Gargano did not resign with the WWE, but the rumors are also circulating that he has also not signed with AEW. With a newborn just a few months away, does Johnny take time off to be with his wife Candice LeRae? Kyle O'Reilly's contract was also up on December 10th, so will we see another member of the Undisputed Era find their way to AEW? With Winter Is Coming just on the horizon, could that be the night that we see the original UE get back together? Not to mention the hellacious women's WarGames match that saw Cora Jade getting the win for her team over the NXT Women's Champion Mandy Rose. As well as Bron Breakker pinning the NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa to secure the win for Team 2.0. AEW saw the continuation of the feud between MJF and CM Punk with the latter coming out to the former's music and cutting an incredible promo on the hometown boy. “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes made it known that he was coming for Sammy Guevara's TNT Championship. Malakai Black singled out The Varsity Blonds this week and blew the black mist into the eyes of Julia Hart. Bryan Danielson continued his warpath through the Dark Order as he took on John Silver as he prepares for AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page next week at Winter is Coming. Speaking of Winter Is Coming and MJF, he will put the Dynamite Diamond Ring on the line against Dante Martin. And as always we will end the night with our Run-In segment and who knows what we will talk about there, everything and anything is up for discussion. All of this and so much more tonight on In This Very Ring!.

(STINGER: ROH) Ring Of Honor presents its Final Battle pay-per-view tonight. It's the last show before ROH goes on a months-long hiatus - Jonathan Gresham has a new opponent…after ROH World Champion Bandido was pulled from the show due to a positive COVID-19 test. Gresham will now face Jay Lethal…who jumped to AEW a few weeks ago. This match will NOT be for the ROH World Title. Bandido remains the champ…at least, for now. More on that in a moment. Gresham/Lethal is part of a double main event tonight. The other half is The OGK defending the ROH Tag Titles against The Briscoes. Rok-C defends the ROH Women's Title against Willow. Brain Johnson challenges Josh Woods for the Pure Title. Dalton Castle defends the TV Title in a 4-Way against Rhett Titus, Silas Young and Joe Hendry. Shane Taylor vs. Kenny King in a Fight Without Honor. Dragon Lee vs. Rey Horus. Violence Unlimited's Brody King, Tony Deppen & Homicide vs. HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams, Taylor RusT & Eli Isom. Chelsea Green & The Hex vs. The Allure & Miranda Alize. Plus, a 10-Man Wildcard Tag Team Match - where the participants have yet to be announced. ROH says it will address the world title situation during the Hour One pre-show. Also on the pre-show, The Soldiers Of Savagery & O'Shay Edwards defend the ROH 6-Man Titles against The Righteous. That's free on ROH's YouTube and Facebook starting at 7PM Eastern. The main show begins at 8PM. (STINGER: AEW) The Lucha Brothers are STILL the AEW Tag Team Champions. The beat FTR on Friday night's Rampage. We witnessed the in-ring debut of HOOK. The son of Taz beat Fuego Del Sol, using his dad's old Tazmission submission hold to finish off Fuego. Adam Cole beat Wheeler Yuta…there was a big brawl with Orange Cassidy and the Best Friends after the match. It ended with the SuperKliq hitting Trent with a triple BTE Trigger. Also on the show, Nyla Rose, The Bunny & Penelope Ford beat Ruby Soho, Tay Conti & Anna Jay. Rose pinned Jay with the Beast Bomb after The Bunny hit Jay with a pair of brass knuckles. (STINGER: WWE) On last night's SmackDown… KING Woods got a new crown…and he and Kofi Kingston won a non-title 3-Way over the SmackDown Tag Champs The Usos and the RAW Tag Champs Team RK-Bro. Jey Uso took the pin. Drew McIntyre pinned Sheamus with the Claymore. Earlier, McIntyre impaled Adam Pearce's desk with a sword. Shinsuke Nakamura & Rick Boogs beat Los Lotharios. Toni Storm won a non-title match over SmackDown Women's Champ Charlotte Flair. The ref disqualified Charlotte as she was battering Storm on the ring apron. Brock Lesnar beat up Sami Zayn…and suggested he and Paul Heyman are still in cahoots. Roman Reigns was NOT on the show. The advertised match between Sonya Deville and Naomi did NOT happen. Deville had Natalya and Shayna Baszler as her backup. They surrounded Naomi…but that's when Xia Li made her SmackDown debut and saved Naomi. Johnny Gargano is now a free agent. He announced the launch of his own store on Pro Wrestling Tees. Gargano tweeted he'll also be putting out content on YouTube and Twitch. Kyle O'Reilly reportedly is also now a free agent. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan's Best Of The Super Juniors tournament resumes Saturday. It's the final day of pool matches. They'll face EVIL & Yujiro Takahashi…and if they win, they'll guarantee themselves a spot in Wednesday's final. A loss opens the door for Great-O-Khan & Aaron Henare. They'll face the Guerrillas Of Destiny. Tonight's New Japan Strong has Tomohiro Ishii vs. Brody King…Jonathan Gresham vs. Gabriel Kidd…and Will Ospreay, Jeff Cobb & TJP vs. Karl Fredericks, Clark Connors & Ren Narita. The FREE Hour One pre-show starts at 7PM, and will feature the 15-man Honor Rumble for a future ROH World Title shot. (STINGER: WWE) A WWE Championship match is now being promoted for Monday night's Raw - Bobby Lashley defending against Randy Orton. That match was first announced last Monday...only it was supposed to happen at the Extreme Rules pay per view. The Demon returned on last night's SmackDown from Madison Square Garden. Finn Balor emerged at the end of the show for a staredown with Roman Reigns. Reigns' interference apparently saved The Usos' SmackDown Tag Titles in last night's main event. The Street Profits had to settle for a DQ win. Balor was not the only person to get in Reigns' face last night. Brock Lesnar showed up at the start of the show to confront Reigns and Paul Heyman. Lesnar asked Heyman why he didn't tell Reigns that Lesnar would be showing up at SummerSlam. Reigns didn't like the sound of that, and he and The Usos bailed on Heyman. Lesnar then demanded that Heyman accept his challenge for a title match against Reigns. Heyman refused, so Lesnar hoisted him up for an F5. But Reigns and The Usos returned to save Heyman. Heyman later denied knowing Lesnar was at SummerSlam. Also last night, Seth Rollins pinned Edge with The Stomp. Rollins set up the finish with a barrage of superkicks, and Edge was taken out on a stretcher after the match. KING Nakamura, Rick Boogs, Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio & Big E beat Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, Otis & Apollo Crews. Big E pinned Zayn with the Big Ending. Trae Young from the NBA's Atlanta Hawks was in the corner of Zayn and the bad guys. (STINGER: AEW) On last night's AEW Rampage...Andrade El Idolo took advantage of interference by Chavo Guerrero and pinned Pac. But after the match, Andrade decked Chavo, apparently ending that relationship. Also last night, Brian Pillman Jr. beat Max Caster...and Ruby Soho, Kris Statlander & Riho beat the AEW Women's Champion Dr. Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter & Rebel. Rebel took the pin. (STINGER: New Japan) On last night's New Japan Strong... Ren Narita pinned Karl Fredericks with his bridging belly-to-belly suplex in the main event. After the match, Fred Rosser challenged Narita to face him in the coming weeks. Also, Clark Connors beat Alex Coghlin...and Kevin Knight beat The DKC. Back in Japan, the rightful holder of Dragon Gate's vacant Open the Brave Gate championship will be decided on Saturday...as former champs Keisuke Okuda & SB KENTo go one-on-one. Pro-Wrestling NOAH's N-1 Victory tournament begins on Sunday. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Saturday, September 11. Our next update comes your way MONDAY morning. Check out the new episode right now wherever you get your podcasts. (STINGER: WWE) Just over a month into his tenure as the lead announcer on Raw, Adnan Virk is leaving WWE. The company said they “mutually agreed to part ways.” Virk later offered a better explanation. He tweeted that weekly travel and his other jobs were a grind for him and his family. There's no word yet on who will replace Virk at the commentary desk on Raw. WWE returns to live touring in July...and tickets to the first three announced events go on sale this morning at 11 a.m. Eastern - those are the July 16th SmackDown in Houston...Money In The Bank the following Sunday in Fort Worth...and Raw the night after in Dallas. Karrion Kross is still the NXT Champion. He choked out Finn Balor in the main event of last night's show. We should learn next week who Kross' next challenger will be. GM William Regal announced a 3-Way #1 Contender Match - Kyle O'Reilly vs. Pete Dunne vs. Johnny Gargano. The winner gets the shot at Kross at NXT TakeOver: In Your House. Dunne spoiled Bobby Fish's return from injury last night. He pinned Fish with the Bitter End. Oney Lorcan beat up on Fish after the match. Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon beat the NXT Women's Champion Raquel Gonzalez & Dakota Kai. Moon pinned Kai...but Gonzalez laid out both Moon and Blackheart after the match. Mercedes Martinez beat Zayda Ramier. But her post-match celebration was interrupted by smoke and lighting effects. When it was over...Martinez had a mark on her hand - implying she's being targeted by Tian Sha. Santos Escobar made it clear that he wants to be the first to challenge the new North American Champion Bronson Reed. Nick Aldis will defend his NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against...Trevor Murdoch. That'll happen at the next NWA pay per view “When Our Shadows Fall”...coming up on June 6th. Murdoch earned the title shot by winning a battle royal on last night's Powerrr. Aldis' cohort Chris Adonis relinquished the NWA National Title so he could enter the battle royal - but he ended up being the last man eliminated by Murdoch. The heavily hyped showdown between Thunder Rosa and Kamille...ended in a draw. So, that's good news for Rosa. The result means she can continue to wrestle outside the NWA. BUT we still do not have a #1 contender for Serena Deeb's Women's Championship. Aron Stevens & Kratos beat Jax Dane & Crimson to retain their NWA Tag Titles after a mystery man attacked Crimson. (STINGER: ROH) Ring Of Honor unveiled the field and the brackets for its upcoming Survival Of The Fittest tournament. The first-round matches on the left side of the bracket are: Rey Horus vs. Flamita...Eli Isom vs. Dak Draper...and Bandido vs. Bateman. On the right side of the bracket, the first-round matches are: Brian Johnson vs. Sledge...Chris Dickinson vs. O'Shay Edwards...and Danhausen vs. Rhett Titus. The winners all advance to a 6-Way Elimination Match...and the winner gets a shot at the ROH World Championship. The tournament begins in two weeks. (STINGER: AEW) The simmering issues between Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss may be coming to a head. Kiss was beaten by Brian Cage in the main event of last night's AEW Dark. After the match, Hook beat up Kiss some more. Janela did not intervene. He just stared blankly for a bit and then walked away. Earlier, Janela pinned Bear Bronson with an elbow drop from the top rope. Also on the show...Big Swole & KiLynn King beat The Bunny & Madi Wrenkowski. Swole pinned Wrenkowski with her rolling forearm. A reminder: There's no Dynamite tonight. That's pushed back to Friday due to the NBA Playoffs. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Wednesday, May 26. (STINGER: WWE) Tonight's NXT is promoting the first interview with Adam Cole since TakeOver. Bronson Reed faces Austin Theory. If Reed wins, he gets another shot at Johnny Gargano's North American Title. Also, Mercedes Martinez vs. Dakota Kai...and Kushida & MSK vs. Legado Del Fantasma The WWE Championship match at WrestleMania Backlash...is now a 3-Way. Bobby Lashley will now defend against Drew McIntyre AND Braun Strowman. Strowman earned his place in the match by pinning McIntyre in the main event of last night's Raw. A distraction by T-Bar and Mace gave Strowman the opening he needed. The show opened with T-Bar & Mace beating McIntyre & Strowman via countout...after McIntyre hit Strowman with an errant clothesline. Strowman hit McIntyre with a powerslam after the match. One week after Charlotte Flair suspended indefinitely, and fined, for attacking a referee...she was BACK on Raw. She apologized to the ref she pummeled...and after some prodding the ref apologized to Charlotte. Sonya Deville was on hand for all of this and she lifted Charlotte's suspension. This was apparently ALL news to Adam Pearce. Rhea Ripley, Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler beat Asuka, Naomi and Lana. Jax pinned Lana. Earlier in the match, Dana Brooke & Mandy Rose strolled out...threw water at Baszler...which led to Jax slipping on the wet floor. All this in retaliation for Jax throwing flowers at Brooke & Rose earlier. Deville decided to punish her former tag partner Rose with a match against Charlotte Flair. And Charlotte pinned Mandy with Natural Selection to win that match. I guess R-K-Bro is gonna be a thing. Riddle and Randy Orton teamed up to beat Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. Damien Priest, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods pelted The Miz, John Morrison, Elias and Jaxson Ryker with tomatoes...then won a trios match against them Humberto Carrillo was back on Raw to once again get in the face of the United States Champion Sheamus. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan joined other promotions Monday...in calling off some shows due to a new COVID-19 state of emergency in parts of Japan. Three shows at Korakuen Hall scheduled for May 8th, 10th & 11th are now canceled. New Japan has a big show on Wednesday - with Roppongi 3K defending the Jr. Tag Titles in the main event...against El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Also, Toru Yano will defend the KOPW 2021 provisional title against EVIL. It'll be a Creation Of Darkness Blindfold Match. Blindfolds/hoods will be hung on each ring post. A decision can not be scored until you use one to blindfold your opponent. A couple big singles matches on the Road To Wrestling Dontaku on Monday. It was a good day for Los Ingobernables De Japon. Tetsuya Naito delivered THREE Destinos to pin Great-O-Khan in the main event. And, SANADA pinned Aaron Henare after a TKO and a pair of moonsaults. (STINGER: AEW) Some fresh faces on tonight's Dark...including former Lucha Underground Champion Marty Casaus (ka-SAUCE) making his AEW debut against Brian Cage. Also, The Blade & Private Party vs. Dark Order's Evil Uno, Stu Grayson & 10. On last night's Dark: Elevation...Big Swole & Red Velvet beat the dysfunctional team of Nyla Rose & Madi Wrenkowski. Rose was bullying Wrenkowski. Wrenkowski was giving Rose an attitude. Rose eventually turned on her - hitting a powerbomb on Wrenkowski and then just walking away. Matt Sydal pinned Joey Janela in the main event. Also, Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky beat Dark Order's Alex Reynolds and Alan “5” Angels. (STINGER: ROH) On Ring Of Honor's weekend TV…The first outing for Violence Unlimited was a disqualification LOSS in a trios match against La Faccion Ingobernable. Brody King used a chair on Bestia Del Ring to draw the DQ. The show ended with The Foundation running out to beat up BOTH factions. Earlier, Eli Isom and Dak Draper wrestled to a 15-minute time limit draw. It looked like were gonna get 5 more minutes, but Dalton Castle arrived on the scene first - sporting a new look AND new BOYS. Castle kicked both guys in the groin to put them down...and then, danced away. Next weekend's ROH TV will have HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams' first defense of his TV Title...against Tony Deppen. Tonight's NWA Powerrr has Da Pope defending the NWA TV Title against Tyrus. Major League Wrestling will debut on VICE TV this Saturday at Noon. It sounds like this show will be a look back at MLW history. The new content is still premiering on Fusion every Wednesday...at least, for now. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Tuesday, April 27. (STINGER: WWE) New matches announced...and a big change to another...for WrestleMania. The showdown between The Miz and Bad Bunny will now be a tag team match. Miz and John Morrison vs. Bad Bunny and Damien Priest. The challenge was laid out by Priest after Miz and Morrison defaced Bad Bunny's $3.6 million dollar Buggati. The WWE Women's Tag Team Titles will be defended at WrestleMania. But first, we need a challenger. A Tag Team Turmoil match will decide that on Night 1 of Mania - Naomi & Lana vs. Dana Brooke & Mandy Rose vs. The Riott Squad vs. Tamina & Natalya. Those teams were announced on last night's Raw. WWE's website listed a fifth team - Carmella & Billie Kay. Anyway, whichever team wins on Night 1 will challenge the champs, Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler on Night 2. Raw women's champion Asuka and her WrestleMania challenger Rhea Ripley were NOT able to coexist last night. They lost to a non-title match to the WWE women's tag champs Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.
