Dipping back into the MCU one more time this week, for the film that feels closest to Deadpool & Wolverine, Spider-Man: No Way Home. This 2021 film was the first big dip into the multi-verse in the MCU and stands as the best version of it still, I think. We are all pretty big fans of this one and I was the highest on it when we recorded (probably still as well?). Anyways, it was fun to revisit our excitement around this time and wondering where all of this was going to take us, and us being somewhat right and way wrong! Peter 3 forever! Download. Listen. Hello. We are still a podcast. And this is yet another attempt to get these things out of the pipeline again. We have Middle of the Row & The Greatest Thing About... for days, and I hope this fall to get more to you all. This release is for The Mitchells vs. The Machines, which I'm timing with TMNT: Mutant Mayhem, as they share a director/writer in this film's co-director/writer Jeff Rowe. Let's call it a good excuse. The Middle of the Row: The Podcast will still have counting numbers, but won't be in order, fyi. Anyways, cross those figures. Download. Listen. Enjoy. The way we talk to our kids becomes the way that they talk to themselves which is why it's so important to affirm that they are enough. And that even on their hardest days they remain good inside. This week's conversation is with actors, authors, and activists Jazmyn Simon and Dulé Hill talk to Dr. Becky about their new children's book, Repeat After Me, and the importance of positive affirmations from an early age.Join Good Inside Membership: https://bit.ly/421fqaEFollow Dr. Becky on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/drbeckyatgoodinsideSign up for our weekly email, Good Insider: https://www.goodinside.com/newsletterOrder Dr. Becky's book, Good Inside: A Guide to Becoming the Parent You Want to Be, at goodinside.com/book or wherever you order your books. For a full transcript of the episode, go to goodinside.com/podcastToday's episode is brought to you by Hanna Andersson: Two things are true: Summer is amazing and summer is stressful. One way to manage summer stress is to pair fun and adventure with predictability. This might be as simple as laying out your kids' favorite swimsuits the night before a big beach day… but it's also knowing those suits will hold up for your kids all summer long. That's why Hanna Andersson's swimwear is a go-to in Dr. Becky's family. Their fabric is fast-drying (less complaints of “Ugh I'm still wet!”), holds its shape without stretching (no more sagging suits), and blocks 97% of harmful UVA/UVB rays (less guilt about being in the sun!). And this year, they have the cutest selection of prints—meaning they'll become quick favorites for your kids, too. Get 25% off your order with code GOODINSIDE at hannaandersson.com.

Andrew For America discusses the possibility of, and the evidence for the existence of an "invisible government" that is the true ruling power of our country. The true "ruling power" that makes all the important decisions from "behind the scenes." This idea has been talked about by many prominent figures throughout history, including father of propaganda Edward Bernays. Andrew shows us a few examples and asks the question, “if there is an invisible government, then what is it and who is involved?” Andrew introduces former CIA director, William J Casey, and talks about recent controversial comments made by Kanye West and Kyrie Irving that were construed as being "antisemitic." Andrew also talks about the importance of engaging in difficult conversations about complex issues, and the importance of our rights to free speech and free assembly. If we do not exercise these rights, they may one day be taken away from us...and sooner than you may think. The song selection is the song, "Repeat After Me" by The Perils of Being. Goon was a flashback pick from late last year, but it was actually a 2012 release so now it is an actual flashback for the correct year! This was picked by Jon, but he didn't make this episode, but Ben, Lauren and Zac all really enjoyed chatting about this hockey cult classic. Though, none of us have seen the sequel, so we don't know if we can recommend that, but Scott and Schreiber are excellent here, so more of them is probably making it worth a watch. Boogie Man Channel - Up All Night with the Boogie Man Podcast:
I love music, you do too. I love trippy visuals, you do too. This is why I film at nauseum the way I do. The sky, the trees, animals, nature, festivals, people, entities, vehicles, other dimensions and anything I can get my hands on. My camera I should say. This is what happens when you mix a bunch of visuals, objects and things that don't' usually mix together, You put an unbelievable beat in the background and hope for the best. This mix came out absolutely amazing and the best part about it...it has no point. We need zero point to our actions sometimes. We need to realize that your only purpose is the search for a purpose. Nobody said it's a bad thing if you never find a purpose. Wandering without purpose is a purpose in itself. It's you that adds the balances to a purposeful existence. With all of this purpose in the world, we need more non purpose and more "nothingness." I think we should all make a point once a day to do and mean absolutely nothing with at least one action. I believe this action in itself should even out all of the actions with purpose you took and completed the entire day while at school, while at work and while at friendsing. We are back with a flashback from last year, so it flashes back to 2001. Lauren picked Amélie, another Jean-Pierre Jeunet film from her, and its charms seemed to have won newcomer Ben over. Zac and Lauren continued to be big champions of the film, even if he thinks Amélie might be an emotional terrorist. Still, a fun chat and a lot of positive love for a movie that's lost none of its charm all these year's laters. Download. Listen. Enjoy. We are back, again, and digging deep into the backlog to hopefully start getting us back to the present. I plan on continuing to jump around in the releases, so bear with us as things might seem super random or super old! This week, we have a fun episode for a bad movie, Reminiscence. The MCU's third entry in 2021 was Eternals and we reviewed it when it hit Disney+. Now you can buy it anywhere and wonder what the hell is Zac thinking or just take some enjoyment agreeing with Ben and Lauren on this whole endeavor. We found a lot of common ground on both sides of this coin, but came out liking it and not on quite opposite spectrums. Download. Listen. Enjoy. Just in time for some Oscars nominations, we are releasing our episode on Denis Villeneuve's Dune! We all love his last film on this podcast, Blade Runner 2049, but we aren't quite as unanimously positive on his latest. That's not to say we aren't positive, but maybe expectations were a little too high? Need to rewatch it? Anyways, lots of praise, lots to discuss, and everyone wants to see Part 2! Yay! Download. This week we flashback to the 2001 comedy classic, Wet Hot American Summer. A lot of familiar faces got their start here, the most successful of which is probably the smallest role of the main cast. Who knew! Everyone but Zac hadn't seen this and I think he has slowly started to convert two more to the cult of Wet Hot! Download. Listen. Enjoy. We are back, again, after another delay. We have a lot of backlog from 2021 and those start coming out now! This is a bit of a forgotten Netflix release last year that was actually one of the more interesting titles they have released in the last year or two. We like different things about this one, so I think we all think you should definitely be able to find something to appreciate in this film. We all agree, let Karen Gillan emote! Download. Listen. During this episode, we're going to play a game that will challenge us to listen and pay close attention! It's all about repeating patterns. We're also discussing gratitude as we prepare for Thanksgiving next week!Hello everyone!! I'm JJ and I'm just thrilled to bring you another episode of the Along for the Ride Podcast! It's our mission to help families have fun and make memories while riding in the car! I believe that there is always an opportunity to have fun and that things are more enjoyable when we look up and play together! Kids Car Game - Pattern ReplicationI've got a brand new game for us that's going to test your memory. Let's see just how well you can repeat a given pattern. I'm calling this game Repeat After Me. We will play a few different rounds where I'll give you a pattern and you'll repeat it back. It might be words. It might be sounds. It might be numbers. It might be claps or stomps! You'll have to pay close attention so you can get it right. Also, try to do it exactly as I do. If I clap softly, you clap softly. Here's an example. If I say, “Apple Pie. Pumpkin Bread. Bonfire. Fried Turkey. Gobble Gobble” then you would say, “Apple Pie. Pumpkin Bread. Bonfire. Fried Turkey. Gobble Gobble” Easy, right? You can tell that I've got Thanksgiving on my mind! I think this was one of my favorite games! Thank you so much for playing along! You can play this game anywhere. The next time you're out and about and need an activity to pass the time, play this game with your friends and take turns making up the patterns! Talking about Gratitude with Kids This episode is airing the week before Thanksgiving. This is one of the most special times of the year! You've got a break from school coming, you're making your Christmas lists, maybe your family is like mine and you've already got your Christmas decorations out! With all the excitement of December coming, I want to encourage you to not miss out on the joy and the meaning of Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is all about gratitude. Gratitude is being thankful for the things that you have - a place to live, food on the table, clothes to wear. How can you show gratitude to the people you love? What are some things you can do or say?Can you think of something right now? Say it out loud! Gratitude also comes out in our attitude. When you think about what you are grateful for, it is an instant mood lifter! The next time you feel angry or sad, think about the things you are most grateful for. List them out in your mind or on a piece of paper. Just see what happens! You can even make a game out of it! Try to see how many things you can say that you are grateful for! And by the way, we can show gratitude all year, not just on Thanksgiving! Hey Parents, I found an interesting article on VeryWellMind.Com on how to teach gratitude to kids. It gives easy ideas on how we can show and teach gratitude to our kids!
Yes, we still have a podcast and we are finally back with this summer's Black Widow. Now free to all on Disney+, we timed this perfectly, right? We all love the MCU around here and we all really liked Black Widow. We argue over whom is the best in this film, discuss where we think all of the new characters might go from here as well as try and get to the bottom of the correct pronunciation of Budapest... I lively talk, as always, around the MCU content we've been missing on the movie front. Download. Listen. Enjoy.
