The team brainstormed creative client appreciation and Popeye ideas for the holidays, with Sara suggesting simple, low-cost gifts like mason jar pickles, apple pies, bath salts, and pumpkin-themed treats. The conversation expanded to holiday-themed Popeyes such as recipe cards with ingredients, Christmas cookies, poinsettias, and personalized cards. Sara explored charcuterie box deliveries while noting weather challenges, and the group discussed balancing creativity with budget as items like pumpkins and candy can add up quickly. They wrapped up by committing to increase their social media presence in 2024, with Tracy planning to post more consistently—especially on TikTok—to boost engagement and visibility.

Episode Summary: Reflections on Post-Vacation Blues and Enneagram PersonalitiesHey everyone, it's your host Bobby here with another episode of "This is Not Well." Today, we're diving deep into the post-vacation blues that hit us after our recent trip to Park City, Utah. I'm feeling the weight of it all, and it's got me thinking about Enneagrams and how they play into our personalities and reactions to life's ups and downs.Post-Trip Depression and Enneagram InsightsI'm a full-on Enneagram Six, the Loyalist, and I'm feeling super depressed post-trip. It's like all the dopamine from the fun times has just vanished.Last year was rough, but this year, I'm realizing how my Enneagram type contributes to the problems I create in my head. We're planning to dive deeper into Enneagrams next week, and we encourage you all to take the test too!The Highs and Lows of TravelOur return from Park City was a mess, with flight delays and mechanical issues causing chaos. We got trapped in Salt Lake City, which led to some unexpected adventures and a lot of walking in the airport. The need for a vacation after a vacation is real – the struggle to get back into the swing of things is tough.Encounters and ObservationsWe discuss the interesting mix of people and places in Salt Lake City, from homeless encampments to snowball-throwing strangers.I share a personal mishap involving a hot tub and a near-injury, highlighting the importance of safety and maybe even waivers for future trips.Reflections on Personal Growth and RelationshipsI talk about the progress I've made personally and how it's reflected in my physical health. We touch on the dynamics of relationships and the idea of opening up to new experiences with partners.A Word on Rude People and Being GratefulA reminder to listeners: don't be rude, and don't take invitations for granted. It's about mixing new and old friends, and not everyone can be included every time.We call out some famous figures in the gay community who have been problematic lately, emphasizing the importance of integrity.Final Thoughts and Looking AheadWe tease a discussion about a movie called "Poor Things" and the concept of neurodivergence.I reflect on the idea that some people might use labels as an easy out rather than addressing underlying issues. That's it for this episode. Remember, life is a rollercoaster, and it's okay to not be well sometimes. Join us next time as we continue to explore the complexities of life, personalities, and the aftermath of vacations. Lately, there has been an increasingly alarming number of rude people I've come across. This week - for whatever reason - the moon, the water, the air, it's been one rude interaction after another. Some days, they don't really bother me. Other days, they can hijak my entire day and drain my energy. Please tell me this sounds familar. So in today's episode - we've got a lot going on. We're diving into all things RUDE. Plus we're calling my good friend Jordan Gavaris (who is also a wonderful actor you've seen in shows like Orphan Black and The Lake) who, like me, also was dealing with rude people this week. And then, we're diving into some considerations when it comes to rude people, and some questions to ask ourselves if they're getting to us more than they normally do. We're walking FULL ON into the messy, and it's a fun one.Today we're covering: "whoooeewww are you?" rude introductionscalling the US government the rating scalequestions to ask ourselvesnutritional considerations (yes there are some!)today's feelgoodthing - baggage collectionJordan's IG - @jordangavarisThe Key Moments in this Episode are:00:02:00 - feelgoodery featured on apple podcasts, a thank you00:04:20 - the thing about epilogues, and this show00:11:30 - let's call Jordan!00:22:40 - consideration #1: rate people 00:25:25 - considerations #2: questions to ask 00:26:305 - consideration #3: nutritional considerations00:30:10 - today's feelgood thing: baggage

RUDE PEOPLE! THE INTERNET IS FILLED WITH THEM. Seems like wherever you turn there are negative people, angry people. To make matters worse, they seem to be louder on the Internet. So we as digital pastors and planters strive to do ministry in an area that attracts rude people, almost enabling them by giving them a platform? Sounds about right. CHURCH, LET'S NOT RUN FROM RUDE PEOPLE. IS IT POSSIBLE TO RUN TOWARDS THEM? That's tricky, right? How do we do ministry with rude people when they are rude? How do we set aside personal feelings and motivations to reach people who may need Jesus most? Jesus did turn over the tables that one time. What is the difference between man's anger and God's? CHURCH, ARE WE GUILTY OF BEING RUDE? This may not be a stretch, but are we guilty of being rude? As we look at our churches are we guilty of being rude towards people who think differently than us. Are we guilty of positioning ourselves in an echo chamber, ignoring people who think differently than us? These are the questions we're asking Seth Muse, Founder of Church Comm Team, as we begin to wrestle with how to minister to rude people, digitally. ABOUT SETH MUSE Seth has been in ministry for over 20 years. He is the co-founder of Church Comm Team, a company aimed at helping the local church turn the chaos of church communications into clockwork. He has served as Communications Director at a large church in North Dallas and is also the host of The Seminary of Hard Knocks podcast, blogs at sethmuse.com, and has his Masters of Arts in Media and Communications from Dallas Theological Seminary.
