This is a meaty, hefty movie. Not unlike what the Alpha carries around with him. Next week: Saw with HFK & Spooky T! *** SPOILERS AHEAD ***And so, our journey begins. Three films to wrap-up one of the most popular anime over the last 6 years. There have been many ups throughout the series, and certainly plenty of downs. Probably more downs than people would like to admit, but I digress. The first installment of the finale trilogy received immense hype across seas, with fans touting it as being the best anime film they have ever seen. So, has the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie retained its infamy and truly blow us away? Don't worry, we won't be obtuse like IGN and simply give it a 6/10 for being "clearly incomplete." But be prepared for some harsh and, quite frankly, warranted criticism from Frankfurtter and MagicallyAverage on this special BakaBites episode.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Twitch: BakacopodcastTikTok: @bakacopodcastInstagram: @bakacopodcastBlueSky: @bakaco.bsky.socialYouTube: @bakacopodcast---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------#anime #animepodcast #podcast #manga #animenews #animereviews #animepreviews #animerecommendations #mangacollectionSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/bakacompany-podcast. Here's what you need to know before you see it.Climb the ladder with me on Patreon: https://patreon.com/lawvsGet our honest thoughts on F1: The Movie. Sure, it's a bit of a cheese-fest, but it's of the charming kind! From its jaw-dropping visuals best experienced in IMAX to its surprisingly heartfelt story, this film delivers more than just fast cars and big crashes. It's packed with genuine moments of teamwork, camaraderie and a few laugh-out-loud lines which I enjoyed for what it was.Yes, the movie leans into the cheese and Hollywood drama, but it also pays real tribute to the spirit of racing in places, Sonny Hayes being a lot more of a deep character than you think and you actually CARE about the team. The Daytona opener is especially a true highlight and a perfect showcase of what the movie can be! In the film, a group of antiheroes are caught in a deadly trap and forced to work together on a dangerous mission.Marvel Studios first teased the formation of a Thunderbolts team within the MCU in 2021. The film was revealed to be in development in June 2022, when Schreier and Pearson were attached. The main cast was revealed in September, with additional casting through early 2023. Lee Sung Jin joined to rewrite the script by March 2023, one of several creatives who returned to work with Schreier from the Netflix series Beef (2023–present). Production was delayed due to the 2023 Hollywood labor disputes, causing some cast changes in early 2024. Calo joined by then for further rewrites. Filming took place from February to June 2024 at Trilith Studios and Atlanta Metro Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, and also on location in Utah and Kuala Lumpur.Thunderbolts* premiered on April 22, 2025, at the Empire Leicester Square in London, England, and is scheduled to be released in the United States on May 2, as the final film of Phase Five of the MCU. The film received positive reviews from critics.

We're diving deep into Saint Maud, the 2020 psychological horror film that's all about the dangers of faith, obsession, and the blurred line between salvation and madness. The movie follows Maud (Morfydd Clark), a devout hospice nurse whose attempt to save the soul of her terminally ill patient spirals out of control. This intense tale of religious fervor will have you questioning what's real, what's divine, and what's the result of Maud's unraveling mind. Hold on to your seats, this review brings all the drama, spoilers, and unfiltered thoughts that you're used to from the TruVue Podcast. It's not about the review, it's the conversation with the crew. Welcome back to the TruVue Podcast, where we bring the barbershop talk straight to the box office! Today, we're diving into Sing Sing, a flick that flips the script on your typical prison drama. This ain't just about bars and guards; it's about the transformative power of art and the real-life Rehabilitation Through the Arts program at New York's Sing Sing Correctional Facility. Alright, picture this: Divine G (Colman Domingo) is locked up at Sing Sing for a crime he didn't commit. Instead of just sittin' around feelin' sorry for himself, he finds purpose by joinin' a theater group with other incarcerated men. Together, they put on a play that ain't just about killin' time—it's about reclaimin' their humanity and showin' the world they ain't just their convictions. We keep it real on the reels, and this film ain't shy about showin' the gritty realities of prison life. But it also highlights how the arts can be a game-changer for folks behind bars. Spoiler alert: This ain't your typical "prison break" story. It's deeper, it's realer, and it's somethin' you gotta see to believe. Alright, folks, don't forget to like, share, and subscribe for more barbershop-style breakdowns. It's not about the review, it's the conversation with the crew, and we bring it every damn time! Welcome back to the show where romance gets roasted, movies are rated, and the tangents fly faster than Jeff Goldblum in a red leather jacket. Here's what's cooking this episode:Romance, Ruined: Johnny Spoiler admits he's a romantic who doesn't believe in romance. Confused? So is he. But he's happy to break it down with terms like "micromancing" (tiny gestures over grand ones) and "DMWs" (dating with Johnny in the middle, because why not?).Male Archetypes: Ever wondered if you're a "sex pig" or a "toxic turkey"? Johnny doesn't hold back on playful commentary about male casting in real life and pop culture.Buffy's Back: Sarah Michelle Gellar is set to reprise her iconic role in aBuffy the Vampire Slayer reboot on Hulu. Cue the nostalgia!Headlines and Movie Trivia: From Dave Franco to Peter Dinklage, a road trip comedy calledThe S**heads is already stirring up title trouble (looking at you, MPAA). Plus, Johnny dives into the indie gemBetween the Lines, a 70s flick about scrappy journalists and life's inevitable changes.Binge-Worthy or Not?Johnny rates Between the Lines as a "binge later." It's got heart, but its smooth jazz pacing might make you sleepy unless you're in the mood for something mellow.Listener Shoutouts:Fan "Nexfyful" chimes in withDemolition Man as a top pick, but does it hit Johnny's sweet spot?
