ACME stock soars on today's cartoonishly silly episode of Quick Charge, we watch Tesla Autopilot crash into a wall with a painting on it, make the Elon stans look silly when they point out shady behavior from their fearless leader, and toss out the notion that some franchise dealers might help the troubled EV brand make more sales in red states. We also cover Toyota as it moves to position itself for global battery dominance by suppling batteries to more than 400,000 electrified Honda vehicles per year, plus an upgraded Xpeng G6 electric SUV that makes everything on this side of the Pacific look positively plebeian. Good morning, and welcome to the annual meeting of the National Association for Supporting The Yuck, (N.A.S.T.Y.), where certified uggos from all over Southern California come to the Burbank Holiday Inn Express to embrace our beady eyes, crooked teeth, bulbous noses, and horrible skin. If you got up this morning and thought to yourself, "I don't think I'm a very attractive person," you're 100% correct. But please, as a favor to me, do not dwell on the fact that you're aesthetically deficient. Instead, focus on the indisputable certainty that your beauty is simply inverted; like a perfectly-fried crispy egg roll, your good stuff is all on the inside. In a world where happiness and success can be achieved despite severe genetic impairments, our group's motto has never been more relevant: "Not everyone is hot, and that's okay." If you strive to develop an intellect that can elicit a smile, a laugh, or even a smirk, trust me when I say that there is absolutely nothing as hot as being genuinely funny, smart, and most importantly: f*cking kind. And on that note, I want to thank you for attending. Complimentary coffee and snacks will be served in the lobby, and please remember to pay your dues by the 30th. In this EP, I share my breakthrough in sprinting—and how I am working through my knee injury. I talk about combining grace and grit in training to achieve 'peak hotness'—a state of strength and beauty. Libby and I invite you to join us in the upcoming 'Elegant Edge' event to help you learn how to combine grit and grace so you can work towards achieving peak hotness. I feature testimonials from Warrior School members who have experienced significant personal and physical transformations in WS. Key Takeaways: The Power of Technique: Mastering the technical aspects of movement can transform your performance, as seen in sprinting and Olympic weightlifting. Grit vs. Grace: Both elements are essential for effective training. It's not about choosing one over the other; it's about combining them to achieve better results. Embrace Your Journey: Progress may feel slow and frustrating at times, but reviewing past performances can highlight significant improvements. Balancing Act: Many women struggle between lifting heavy and maintaining form. Finding the sweet spot allows for both strength and elegance. Peak Hotness: Define what "peak hotness" means for you. This concept encompasses feeling strong, confident, and empowered while embodying both strength and beauty. Community Support: Engaging with a supportive community, like the Warrior School, can enhance your training experience and keep you motivated. Mindset Shift: Reframe the way you view your training. It's not about perfection; it's about progress and the joy of movement. - 00:00 Introduction and Sprint Session Recap - 00:51 The Obsession with Technique - 03:04 Challenges and Breakthroughs in Sprinting - 06:22 Balancing Grace and Grit - 10:06 Achieving Peak Hotness - 15:06 Warrior School Testimonials Connect with Me: If you loved this episode, make sure to subscribe to the podcast so you never miss a new one! The Hotness and her associate, Jada Kay eat their way through Vegas checking out the hottest spots! (no pun intended) From crab boils, oxtail tacos, and delicious desserts along the strip - there was no stopping us. Cronuts! Jumbo shrimp stuffed with crab! Lemon Pepper Wings - the best in Vegas! Listen to find out about these great restaurants!
Alex grew up in the SF Bay Area where the definition of “hotness” was dictated by “beautiful” people in popular magazines and TV shows. His entire childhood, he felt trapped in his fat body and hated how he looked. That was until he realized what he had been taught his whole life was a lie. Hotness was more than perfect abs and bulging biceps, it was an attitude. And that he had! Alex is also a Professional Opera Singer, an industry that he thought would be accepting of his fat body. Boy was he wrong. When Alex began his modeling career in 2016, the entire experience was a fever dream. Fast forward and now Alex is a successful plus-size model, body acceptance advocate and role model to fat guys all around the world. He can currently be seen in every Target in the United States. Alex has worked with Lululemon, Target, Wrangler, Kohls, L'Oreal, Polo Ralph Lauren, Izod, Haband, Kirkland, The Everyman Project, & Arrested Movement. He is the CEO, Founder, and Chief Hot Fat Guy of the Hot Fat Guy Club, an organization he started to dispel the myths around diet culture, fatphobia, and other fat-people stereotypes. The Hot Fat Guy Club is a global, inclusive, exclusive community. It is dedicated to empowering Fat, Big & Tall, Cis, Transgender, and Nonbinary folks, and the people that love them. The Mission of the HFGC is to show the world that Hotness does not come from the outside. Hotness comes from how you carry and care for yourself and others. The HFGC is a club powered by joy and self-acceptance. We are a support system that encourages, educates, uplifts and inspires fellow members to overcome societal “norms” and embrace their inner Hot Fat Guy–all while having some outrageous fun doing so! Men are dramatically underrepresented in the body positivity movement. Although we have made great strides with broadening the aperture of the types of larger bodies that define beautiful, the movement is primarily led by women. With big love to our sisters and non-binary brethren, HFGC advocates and creates opportunity for body positivity for Hat Fat Guys giving them a voice and community in an underrepresented marketplace. He created the HFGC because he wanted a community where people are celebrated, not shamed, for their body type. Becoming a model gave Alex his most important job and achievement ever, becoming the Role Model to little fat kids like him, that he never had growing up. We ponder whether it's a bad thing if you see your doctor Googling your symptoms, which is where Ben's butt enters the chat. Awkward. Lora needs to know if there's a way to graduate from being called "cute" and we toss #dadjokes at each other trying NOT to laugh!

Episode 2562: Jessi Kneeland challenges the harmful societal beauty standards and emphasizes self-compassion in health pursuits. This refreshing take invites readers to dismantle body hierarchies and reshape their health habits not by shame but through acceptance, focusing on personal well-being rather than just aesthetics. Read along with the original article(s) here: https://markfisherfitness.com/no-shame-health-hotness/ Quotes to ponder: "How would your relationship to health, fitness, and nutrition shift if you moved away from shame-based motivation, and moved toward acceptance and self-compassion?" "Instead of focusing on what's wrong with us, we have to start focusing on what's right about us, refusing to buy into the narrative that some bodies are 'good' and some are 'bad,' and offering ourselves the same kind of compassion, kindness, and understanding that we offer everyone else." "Health doesn't look any particular way, and it does us all a disservice to assume that lean/thin is healthier than average/fat, because not only does it reinforce the hierarchy of bodies, it also puts our focus on external feedback like size, weight, and numbers, instead of how you feel!"
