Donald Trump says the tone and spirit of this morning's conversation with Russian's President Vladimir Putin were excellent. This comes following a two-hour call between the two leaders, with Trump now saying Ukraine and Russia will immediately start working towards a ceasefire. He's reportedly also wrapped up a call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Kyiv-based Foreign Policy and Security Analyst Jimmy Rushton told Mike Hosking Putin has Trump right where he wants him, and he's clearly being manipulated and worked by Putin. He says Trump and his Secretary of State Marco Rubio, are simply making things up as they go along. A security analyst says it's likely Trump's hardball foreign policy with Ukraine is part of his promise to deliver a peace deal as fast as possible. Ukraine's President says he's ready to sign a minerals deal and reach a peace deal only hours after America's decision to pause military aid. It also follows a fiery White House meeting between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump. A Kyiv-based security analyst Jimmy Rushton told Mike Hosking Trump's been putting a lot of pressure on Zelenskyy to sign a deal without a US security guarantee. Security Analyst Dr. Sadique Twum has voiced his concerns regarding the former Defence Minister Dominic Nitiwul's statement, which suggested that Ghana could face a coup if precautions are not taken. Dr. Twum stated that while the ongoing violence in Bawku has spread to multiple areas, it is not the only sign of escalating violence that could lead to terrorism in Ghana.
