Whatever bucket of time you have to fill, you're going to fill it. When we feel like we have all the time in the world, we will take all the time in the world to do it! If we give ourselves a smaller window to complete it, and truly believe that window is your only shot -- you will get it done so much faster & be more efficient! Summer break with kids at home full time is tough! Especially when you're trying to balance a full-time mama AND a full-time employee at the same time! During the summer, I picked the top things I needed to do. We all have the same 24 hours each day. What YOU do with those 24 hours, is most important. First things first, WHAT things are important to you? WHY do you need to stay disciplined with your time? My biggest drive is to be done with work when my kids get home from school, so I can spend time outside, enjoying the outdoors, spend time with my kids, and enjoy it with full focus! Decide your WHY! What is your biggest drive to get things done? Set your priorities! When it comes to what tasks are most important, you will get the big things done! Set your calendar, plan accordingly, declutter your mind. Set your goals to yearly, quarterly, monthly… and you'll be able to see those goals be broken down smaller and smaller, so you can get something GREAT done everyday! Set a schedule! Commit to a schedule, with your to-do list in hand, knowing your why. Know what time you have and fill it efficiently. Now that you have a schedule, STICK TO IT! Break it down and schedule out which priority will be worked on, when. Set yourself some boundaries as well! Are you going to interrupt your focus time, to spend responding to a text message that REALLY isn't that important? It takes about 45 minutes to really dive into and be focused on your task. If you're constantly letting outside sources distract you, then you are getting further from your goal, and it is becoming a WASTE of your time! When you're done with your work time slot, whatever you've decided that to be, SHAKE IT OUT! Get up out of your chair, move your body, and come back to refocus. DO NOT GO DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE! Find what works for you, create your time slots, STICK to your schedule, and reward yourself with all the work you've accomplished! Set deadlines for yourself! What are your 3-5 tasks that MUST be done now? Fill it in on Monday mornings, and dedicate yourself to it! Decide how long it's going to take to fill out that task, schedule it during your work hours, and add in a few smaller priority items to the rest of the week. You will always be getting SOMETHING done, and not overwhelming yourself by setting those boundaries! Don't let yourself be burnt out! Take the big task, schedule in the time you want to work on it, and don't overwhelm yourself if it's not necessary to be done today. You've got this!

This is part two of a two-part talk about Goals. The questions submitted in UNSTUCK group were, “How do I get clear enough on what I want to even start manifesting or setting goals?” And, “My big goals make me feel set up to fail - how do I stay out of overwhelm?” In this second part, we step into EARTH energy, as I give you 6 practical steps to stay focused and combat overwhelm as you work on big goals. The steps we cover are: Be open to your big goal taking a long time, and that's not wrong (it doesn't HAVE to - but it can!) Map out the phases/steps in your big goal, put them somewhere you can see them . 2b. Sidebar step - be careful who you tell your goals to! Write out what signs will serve as PROOF that your plan is working/that you're moving toward your goal. Analyze the positive AND negative consequences of getting what you want (not the ways it may go wrong, but the consequences that may feel like a loss/challenge to getting or going after what you want). Address the hardstuff head-on. Make a practice of ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. Give yourself CREDIT for things that are going well, and ACKNOWLEDGE each step along the way. Create a habit of visualizing/listening to/living in what it will be like when the goal is accomplished and STICK TO IT! Did this help you? It's been a year since I started this podcast! But I'm still not earning money as a developer. Does it really have to take over a year to learn enough to become a working programmer? Short answer: no, I really don't think so! But for me, a few things along the way have slowed down my progress. You can get the full story by listening to this episode, but to recap what I think I'd do differently to speed the transition up a bit: Set a firm date for when I'd start seeking paying jobs and STICK TO IT! My “deadline” kept being pushed farther and farther away from me. Work on a single program or curriculum that will provide you with full projects to complete and add to your portfolio. Some good examples are the freeCodeCamp certificates and Udacity nanodegree programs. Coding bootcamps are another viable option, though they can be costly. Despite my (I think) slow timeline so far, I'm still excited by what's still to come and look forward to sharing more updates soon! This episode was originally published 13 March, 2018.

Ziplock steam bags. 25. When trying to fit in exercise, try exercising during your kids' sports/practice activities. 26. Grill the chicken... 27. Protein powder in plain yogurt 28. Stevia drops! 29. Learn to exercise without a buddy. 30. Remove liquid calories to get started.

Start early So a few years ago, to minimize people literally trampling and fighting each other at the door, the stores starting spacing out Black Friday over a few days over a few weeks. This has reduced the loss of human dignity during the maddening retail buzz this time of yearDespite that, people seem to wait for the actual “Black Friday” which is the day after Thanksgiving. However, based on an analysis from Consumer Reports, its best to start early as some of the best deals can be found then and the items are more likely to be in stock.Walmart, for example, just announced it will have three "Deals for Days" events staggered throughout November that kick off online and then move to stores. Target's "Deal Days" will Black also span the entire month of November2. Skip the in-store sales and shop online. There will probably be fewer big in-store promotions this year—no reason to attract crowds—and more emphasis on online shopping, with either free delivery or ship-to-store programs with curbside pickup.Most big time stores such as Target, Best Buy and Walmart have already announced they will be closed on Thanksgiving. (which is the way it should be)I honestly hate that people duck out right after Thanksgiving lunch/dinner to go shopping when we should be falling asleep on the couch together, watching football and yelling about politics and family disagreements and dysfunction.3. Use Websites and Apps. The Consumer Reports website lists the current prices at various outlets for the products in our ratings. You can also try Google Shopping, PriceGrabber, and Shopzilla. When you're in a store, smartphone apps such as BuyVia, Shopkick, ShopSavvy, and Shopular let you scan bar codes or QR codes to compare prices, get discounts, and score coupons.Browser extensions like camelcamelcamel and Honey for Chrome and Firefox can help with this and those are free!4. Store loyalty programs offer early access and special coupons so use it them. They can have exclusive offers and make it worth your while.5. Retailers are rewarding those who follow social channels with special offers Why? because it gives them access to you the rest of the year. Follow them for now and unfollow the rest of the year to avoid overspending. 6. Create a budget and STICK TO IT. Otherwise you will end up like 39% of Americans who report regret over how much they spent on Black Friday. That's 1 in 3 people have regrets over Black Friday! What a terrible thing. On top of that, over half of all Black Friday shoppers report stress after making their purchases. 7. TVs are one of the hottest items that people buy this time of year. The average price of a TV drops 18% during Black Friday sales and for larger TVs, it can be up to 35%. The new models and new tech for TVs are rolling out soon and they are clearing up shelf space for the new line ups. 8. Not ALL Black Friday deals are good deals. If you have a list or atleast an idea of what you are looking to buy, then start paying attention to the prices now. That's because stores know people will buy these items regardless of discount so they take advantage of that. Some stores will even mark the item as on sale for $19.99 when its regular price is $19.99 just to create hype and urgency.

The FOMO demon loves when nonprofessional traders romanticize the stock market. That's when you're in real trouble. Learn your style: Fundamental Analysis vs Technical Analysis Set your budget and STICK TO IT. What am I willing to lose? How much do I want to keep in cash? How many trades am I comfortable having active? - TRICKSTER and SCHEMER lingo: "proprietary" "Pick tops and bottoms" "My proven trading strategy" "I've made ____ trading, and you can too" "Learn to make _____ trading stocks/options/forex" "Learn these indicators...." RUN AWAY from these people FOMO: Fear Of Missing Out Remember, there are thousands of stocks. Missing a wave is okay. Be happy your strategy predicted the correct move. Now find another stock that fits the criteria and wait for your entry. Think of surfing or playing double dutch, you can't jump in after you've missed your chance...but wait a little and that window will open up again. Quote of the Week: “You don't drown by falling in water, you only drown if you stay there” - Zig Ziglar or Edwin Louis Cole Making a bad decision is okay, but refusing to course correct is where we get in trouble. If a trade isn't going like you thought, get out. Staying in because of emotion will lead to drowning. 4 steps to a solid pre shot routine Last week we covered how you can get more confident when putting and part of that was the pre shot routine. Today we are going to take a deeper dive and look at 4 steps you can take to develop your own solid pre shot routine. Physical Portion This is the part that most people are familiar with. Actually getting comfortable over the ball. This is important and should be done the same way every time, because if you don’t have consistent preparation you can’t have consistent execution. Mental Portion Decision Making The first and most important part is to make a plan and STICK TO IT! You’ve got to remember that if you waffle in your decision making you send mixed signals to your body. That creates inconsistency as to which signal should be followed. Visualize Your Plan It doesn’t have to be a truly visual process, you just have to know what you want it to do. An easy ways to teach yourself the process is to think about how you read breaking putts. This is exactly how you would visualize a regular shot too. Staying Focused Whatever your key thought is going into the swing it’s important to stay focused on that. Some common things I have focused on in the past are balance & rhythm. Don’t Linger if you stay over your shot too long you start adding risk & anxiety (or sometimes fear) to the mix. I always try look back to a time when I really performed this type of shot well. It keeps me positive & confident through the execution.
