Troy Hadeed believes the ultimate spiritual practice lives within our everyday relationships and that divinity exists in the heart of every individual. He has been practicing and teaching yoga for over fifteen years but has been questioning narratives, dissolving conditioning, and dissecting the human experience for far longer. He lives on the north coast of Trinidad and Tobago, nestled in a community of trees and hummingbirds, but thrives on an active social life, introspection, and some interesting travel choices. When not teaching or writing, he can be found sharing insights through speaking engagements, coffee-shop conversations, and casual encounters in the most unexpected places. Troy calls for us all to bring more intention to the way we live our lives and acknowledges that our actions, words, and even thoughts change the world. This Sunday's episode takes place in Trinidad & Tobago-and my guest, Troy Hadeed, was struggling. A yoga practitioner, he went to the beach to practice with the sunset and there, in a lifeguard hut, had an experience that changed him forever! Troy was so moved by the experience he quite literally had it tattooed on his body-to remind him forever that it had really happened. And I think we've all had these moments in our lives, of inescapable beauty. Things that stun us, catch us up short and gobsmack us with the irrefutable truth of the gorgeousness in the world. And Troy carries his experience with him and when he has hard times, goes back to it time and again to heal his heart. Troy is a magical human and besides for being a yoga practitioner has a book out that is transcendent: "My Name is Love, We're Not All That Different." To buy it click here. Troy shares how he views the world in this episode and really, much of it is colored by his colorful life. Here is his website for more about this delightful human being! And yes, your moment of beauty! It's right here! This song by Dinah Washington is simply stunning and whenever I need to downshift or take some time to heal my heart I put it on repeat! I hope you enjoy! Thanks to everyone who listens and remember, share and subscribe to the pod!! See you all so very soon for the very next episode!

Raised in Trinidad and Tobego, Troy was raised in a Catholic home and owes much to the path cleared for him by his family. There are some conversations, where you feel like you are truly examining the human experience; not for any specific reason, but just because both people are so fascinated with understanding. This discussion with Troy (https://troyhadeed.com/) was a beautiful, deep look into what this existence is really all about. Neither of us would be so naive to assume we have all the answers, but that is not the point. The point is caring enough to explore it. Troy has lived an interesting life and has a super unique perspective. Maybe most importantly he cares a lot about humanity and the world around him. We talked about love, God, spirituality, science, nature, and life. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. In this podcast, we look at how a concept of logic known as the Unity of Opposites can empower us to see the truth within us all. Host, Jeffrey Besecker explores this topic today with author, and wise sage, Troy Hadeed. In Sanskrit, the word Samhita literally means “put together; to join; union.” Yet, as humans, we often struggle to put things together. Nowhere is this more true than within our concepts surrounding truth. All of us have heard the old saying that every story has three sides, yours, mine, and the truth. Despite this, the truth is fluid, ever-changing, and constantly evolving. In our daily lives, we often encounter situations where opposing perspectives or contradictory information are valid in different contexts or from different points of view. We humans, therefore, may not always see things eye-to-eye. Both things can be true, as we often find. And in this struggle, we sometimes neglect to find a common ground, and to get our collective shit together. However, in this basic Vedic mantra, we find a hymn, that becomes our only hope or prayer for truth. It is the union of our opposites - we discover the ultimate truth. We join author, yoga teacher, and wise Vedic sage, Troy Hadeed to reflect on this one key objective, putting our differences aside, and to simply love one another - to find the unity of opposites. Troy and Brandon are talking about the power of breath extension in their lives, and how it makes them feel so connected to the big man upstairs. And let's be real, who doesn't want to feel connected to God? But here's the thing, folks, manifestation is just a fancy new age word for prayer. It's all the same damn thing. So if you're out there trying to manifest your dream life, just know that you're really just praying for it. It's mind-blowing. So go ahead and check it out, and you'll be like, "f*ck yeah, this is some good shit." Connect with Troy over at: https://troyhadeed.com/ - Troy: When we create space in our life to actually quiet in mind and be with the breath, that space transcends into our life. He says it's important for listeners to set time aside to be with themselves and their breath. Troy: For it to be loving and holistic, quality time and intimacy is essential. - The only thing that can tame your mind is your breath. We aren't often in relationship with the mind, so we're often a puppet in mind. If we can cultivate a relationship to mind, we can reprogram our conditioning. How do we make sure we're working from a place of love and not as complete robots? - How did you find yourself fulfilling your purpose? You've been doing this yoga practice for 15 years. How have you been able to find yourself as being successful? By following your passion, your bliss, et cetera. - When we talk about purpose, we think of a larger dream or a larger vision for our lives. But to make that dream and vision a reality, you have to be in your purpose in each and every moment. If you get overly obsessed with that larger dream, you're going to miss your purpose.

Welcome to Meltdown to Mastery, the podcast that helps you navigate life's toughest transitions. In this episode, we focus on a topic that affects many women in midlife - identity crisis. Our guest expert, Troy Hadeed, provides deep wisdom on what an identity crisis is and how it can compound our feelings of a midlife crisis. Troy's insightful perspective challenges our traditional notions of identity and how we are taught to view ourselves in the world. Troy begins by stating that he believes the entire world is in an identity crisis, as we are taught to believe that we are separate individuals with defined names and bodies. However, as we add layers to our identity like opinions, beliefs, religion, career, and more, we begin to realize that our human identity is ultimately temporary. For women in midlife, this realization can compound feelings of uncertainty, anxiety, and confusion. However, through understanding the impermanence of our identities and embracing the fluidity of life, we can unlock new possibilities for growth and transformation. Throughout this episode, Troy provides practical tools for navigating an identity crisis, from mindfulness practices to embracing vulnerability and authenticity. He also emphasizes the importance of approaching this transition with kindness, compassion, and a willingness to let go. So whether you're experiencing an identity crisis or simply seeking to deepen your understanding of this phenomenon, this episode of Meltdown to Mastery is not to be missed. Join us as we explore the transformational potential of embracing impermanence and stepping into a new identity. #JayneMarquis #empowerment #IdentityCrisis #MidLifeCrisis #Mastery #mindbody #health # healing #SelfImprovement #mindbodysoul For more INpowering episodes, linktree connects to my website, and many platforms where Inpowered is published - INpowered Mind INpowered Health - My Linktree: https://linktr.ee/INpoweredhealth https://inpoweredhealth.com/ This podcast is for information purposes only and represents the views and opinions of the speakers. These words can change your perspective. This is a powerful message of love. You have spent your life question the status quo and noticing injustice. We are products of our programming and experiences. How can we let go of relationships, pain and suffering. We talk about it all! Lifetime spiritual voyager, businessman and yogi, Troy Haded. Join us in a deep conversation about conditioning and why he believes everything comes back to God and love. Look at what you believe and question why? How he knows he is close to Christ. How to know God and the difference between knowing God and being told what God is are two very different things. Each individual really things about their own relationship to God and define what that means to them.To know better is a privilege. His biggest privilege was to be loved. Why is forgiveness unenviable? “Our mistakes are actually divine intelligence” Those are moments for someone else to learn and grow. The idea that we are a part of each other curriculum and sometimes that means losing someone we love so send them on their trajectory. The freedom to be who they are at every moment. It's important to question everything we know. How beliefs and opinions can lock us into a box. How flat earth may be a belief or the truth, who knows. What is this human experience? Maybe it's knowing one thing for sure, we are absolutely clueless and live in that space for awhile. Maybe our human experience is really a school. Why it's important to make accountability accessible so people are able to own their shortcomings and grow from them. In this episode I speak with author and yoga teacher Troy Hadeed. Troy talks about all the labels we use to define ourselves in this world and how limiting they can be. He talks about how all of our choices revolve around the preservation of our identity. He takes this concept further and talks about how we identify with our bodies and how that gives us a deep fear subconsciously that affects all our behaviors. Troy talks about how most of our personalities and actions are based on how we are conditioned. He tells us how we can never truly be compassionate unless we understand their actions come from conditioning. He talks about the truest form of privilege that someone can have is receiving love. Troy tells us about growing up with a Middle Eastern background in Trinidad. He talks about the shame he felt from his background and privilege that was associated with his background. He talks about how he dealt with that shame and guilt growing up and learning to accept his privilege. Troy tells us about how Reggae and Rastafarian culture impacted him growing up and shaped who he became.https://troyhadeed.com/Instagram - @troyhadeed Hosted on Acast. Dive deep as we begin Season 2 with Troy Hadeed, an immensely studied yoga teacher from Trinidad and Tobago, creator in the One Yoga Trinidad community, host and teacher of multiple Gaia TV series, and embodiment of yoga itself. We get his unique insight on yoga, from "Fuck the Pose" to relating yoga to tai chi and how the breath connects all beings on the planet. Troy views the science of yoga as a personal practice and one's own journey of self-discovery. He says, "To everyone Yoga may seem to signify something different, but let's be specific and not get caught up in all the new age, a pretty language that makes our practice sound all profound.
