Interpreten: The Philharmonic Brass, Tugan Sokhiev Label: DECCA EAN: 0028948541713 Dass die immer wieder heraufbeschworene Konkurrenz zwischen den Wiener und den Berliner Philharmonikern nur Mär ist, beweisen seit vielen Jahren gemeinsame Musikprojekte. Eines der jüngsten ist die Zusammenarbeit der Blechbläser der beiden Orchester unter dem gemeinsamen Namen The Philharmonic Brass. Mit gastmusizierender Verstärkung haben sie kürzlich bei DECCA ihre Debüt-CD veröffentlicht. Beeindruckend virtuos, findet Michael Gmasz. Die Berliner und Wiener Philharmoniker spielen nicht nur hin und wieder Fußball, wenn es die seltene gemeinsame Anwesenheit an ein und demselben Ort erlaubt, sondern sie musizieren auch miteinander. Als Philharmonix, Ensemble Wien-Berlin oder seit Beginn dieses Jahres auch als The Philharmonic Brass. Gäste aus anderen österreichischen und deutschen Orchestern bzw. renommierte Lehrende diverser Hochschulen ergänzen die hochkarätige Besetzung. Sein Konzertdebüt hat die Gruppe am 21. April 2023 im Wiener Musikverein gegeben. Nun ist es auch mit der ersten gemeinsamen CD soweit! Am Anfang steht üblicherweise eine Ouvertüre. Das haben sich auch die insgesamt 20 Musikerinnen und Musiker von The Philharmonic Brass gedacht, als sie an die Konzeption und Planung ihrer Debüt-CD gegangen sind. Sie haben dafür allerdings nicht nur eine sondern gleich sechs Ouvertüren ausgesucht, von Beethoven über Verdi bis hin zu Gershwin und Schostakowitsch. Die Arrangements stammen von Matthias Höfs, der dem Ensemble auch als Gast angehört, und von Peter Lawrence, den man vor allem in der Brass-Szene als ausgezeichneten Komponisten und Bearbeiter schätzt. Hier werden keinerlei Abstriche in Sachen Virtuosität und Herausforderung gemacht, das ist schon von den ersten Tönen in Schostakowitschs Festlicher Ouvertüre klar. Klanglich abwechslungsreich, mit viel Energie gehen die Musikerinnen und Musiker unter der Leitung von Tugan Sokhiev ans Werk. Es ist jedoch kein „Wehe, wenn sie losgelassen“, dafür ist der Klang und das Spiel aller Beteiligten viel zu kultiviert. Symphonische Brassmusik vom Feinsten! (mg)

I principali partiti del paese, insieme alla premier Sanna Marin, hanno quindi dato il via libera alla costruzione di una recinzione al confine orientale. La realizzazione del muro durerà tre anni o poco più, mentre si dibatte sulla sua lunghezza, stimata tra i 150 e i 260 chilometri. «Speriamo che i lavori possano iniziare il prima possibile», ha dichiarato il primo ministro Marin, precisando che il progetto gode di «ampio sostegno all'interno del Parlamento».I muri costruiti per limitare le migrazioni non sono certo pochi: da quello ai confini con il Messico, unanimemente bistrattato in ogni salotto che conti poiché finito di costruire da Trump (a iniziarlo ci aveva pensato il Nobel per la pace Barack Obama), a quello, tutto europeo, alzato da Orban ai confini di Croazia e Serbia nel 2015, per fronteggiare i migranti provenienti dai Balcani. Un muro, quest'ultimo, che da subito non piacque per nulla alla UE. La quale, complice anche una disturbante politica pro-family e pro-life, da allora ha iniziato una vera e propria guerra diplomatica contro Budaperst (ancora lontana dal concludersi), fatta di sanzioni economiche e di dichiarazioni di fuoco contro «un paese recalcitrante». A stigmatizzare la politica di Orban ci si sono messe anche tutte le organizzazioni satellite della UE, tanto che per Human Rights Watch «Orban ha incoraggiato il trattamento feroce e illegale dei migranti e rifugiati, e criminalizzato chi li aiutava».ABIURARE LA MADREPATRIA NON BASTA PIÙEcco però che, almeno in Italia, dopo le dichiarazioni di Sanna Marin sul muro finlandese (descritto dai giornali in tutta la sua realistica crudezza: «una recinzione metallica sormontata da filo spinato, con sensori e telecamere di sorveglianza disseminati lungo il lato Sud della frontiera con la Russia»), un qualsiasi articolo di Repubblica correrà ora il rischio di essere equivocato. Queste le parole dell'inviato Fabio Tonacci del 30 luglio 2022: «Non fa distinzioni, passeggia su diritti umani e leggi dell'Unione Europea». E chi sarà mai? E ancora: «Sei scappato dalla guerra? Fuori». Trattandosi del quotidiano di Largo Fochetti non esistono dubbi che si parli dell'orrendo Orban, ma ora che Ungheria e Finlandia, sui migranti, hanno la stessa identica politica, pudore vorrebbe che si cercassero toni meno perentori.L'impresa non è affatto semplice, visto che Sanna Marin - cresciuta da una coppia di lesbiche, per cui già solo per questo intoccabile paladina del mondo LGBTQ+, quindi intoccabile tout-court - con i suoi 37 anni è la più giovane e osannata premier d'Europa. Bella, innocente e immacolata a prescindere, nelle sue famose feste private (ad alto tasso alcolico), come in quelle organizzate nelle residenze ufficiali.Al di là dell'applauso che accompagnerà la costruzione del nuovo muro (per gli ironici apoti dei social già «bello, alto e democratico»), la barriera che si alzerà tra Finlandia e Russia rimanderà ad un altro e più cinico paradosso. Quante volte nell'ultimo anno è stato chiesto ai russi di pronunciare una pubblica abiura contro la propria Patria? Un'umiliazione per interi corpi di ballo, cantanti lirici, artisti d'ogni genere. Bene, ora che finalmente si decidono a scappare dal proprio paese, i cittadini russi si troveranno davanti ad un muro di filo spinato. Un corto circuito che rimanda ad una coerenza perduta, e al solito doppio standard di un'informazione che in queste ore appare imbarazzata, costretta com'è a parlare di «prima barriera anti migranti in Europa voluta da un governo progressista» (così il Corriere).A proposito di umiliazioni subite (ma che non basteranno più), Tugan Sokhiev, direttore del Bolshoi di Mosca e prima ancora dell'Orchestra sinfonica di Tolosa, messo alle strette da una lettera pubblica del sindaco della città francese, ha finito per dimettersi da entrambi gli incarichi. «Ho trovato scioccante e offensivo che alcune persone mettano in discussione il mio desiderio di pace». «È insopportabile - ha lamentato il musicista Sokhiev - il modo in cui colleghi, attori, cantanti, ballerini, registi vengano minacciati. Presto mi chiederanno se preferisco Ciaikowski e Stravinsky o Brahms e Debussy. Noi invece siamo qui per ricordare gli orrori della guerra con la musica».LA GUERRA AI DISABILI (E AI GATTI)E se in un eccesso di zelo le sanzioni alla Russia sono riuscite a colpire anche i gatti (nel marzo scorso la Federazione Internazionale Felina annunciò di aver bandito in tutto il mondo i gatti russi dai suoi concorsi), decisamente meno spiritosa è stata l'esclusione degli atleti russi e bielorussi dalle Paraolimpiadi di Pechino. Sotto le minacce di boicottaggio di molti governi, in poche ore fu addirittura cancellata la linea più morbida, quella che avrebbe consentito ai disabili di partecipare ai Giochi, pur senza bandiera, con l'estromissione dal medagliere e con la cancellazione di ogni simbolo sulla divisa. Invece niente, neanche così.Eppure, va registrato che il presidente dell'IPC Andrew Parsons, massimo organo paraolimpico, in una Nota ufficiale finalmente umana («Siete delle vittime delle azioni dei vostri governi», queste le parole dirette agli atleti disabili) ha comunque mostrato quell'empatia che la progressista Finlandia, ad un passo dall'entrata nella Nato, non ha nessuna intenzione di manifestare ai profughi di guerra russi.Nell'omelia che ha chiuso il Congresso eucaristico nazionale svoltosi a Matera, Papa Francesco ha detto: «Se alziamo adesso dei muri contro i fratelli e le sorelle, restiamo imprigionati nella solitudine e nella morte anche dopo». La realpolitik di ogni Paese farà poi i suoi distinguo, certo, ma è altrettanto vero che uomini, donne e bambini che scappano da una guerra non possono essere respinti (magari accogliendo invece i cosiddetti "migranti climatici"), perfino se hanno l'insopprimibile colpa di essere russi. Non foss'altro perché i popoli non possono essere ritenuti responsabili delle guerre scatenate dal potere.

Olga Scheps was born in Moscow in 1986, the daughter of two pianists, and discovered the instrument for herself at the age of four. She began studying the piano more intensively after her family moved to Germany in 1992. At an early age she had already developed her own unique style of keyboard playing, which combines intense emotiveness and powerful expressivity with extraordinary pianistic technique. Among those who discovered these talents was Alfred Brendel, who has encouraged the young pianist. A holder of scholarships from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes, she completed her studies with Professor Pavel Gililov in her adopted home of Cologne in 2013, passing her Concert Examination with Distinction.
