We were out for NHK last week due to a family emergency but have a quick recap for you before we jump into the Women and Pairs events at Internationaux de France. In the Women's event, we SCREAMED and ascended to another dimension after Higuchi Wakaba's Lion King Free Skate, pleaded with Mariah Bell to bring back Britney, and put some makeup-safe chunky glitter in our Etsy carts so we can be more like Aliona Kostornaia. In the Pairs event, we continued to attend HSLOT in France with Vanessa James and Eric Radford (but still question the superstition of using Falling as your program music), and request more vigorous wing flapping from Boikova and Kozlovskii.P.S. Excuse some background noise going on - we had some audio issues, crazy weather, and construction happening right next to Claudia's place!Timestamps:00:00 - Intro01:34 - Quick recap of what we missed at NHK Trophy03:28 - Daria Usachëva injury05:47 - IDF: PAIRS06:50 - Coline Keriven & Noel-Antoine Pierre09:08 - Camille Kovalëv & Pavel Kovalëv11:40 - Ioulia Chtchetinina & Mark Magyar16:31 - Rebecca Ghilardi & Filippo Ambrosini18:24 - Vanessa James & Eric Radford22:45 - Alexa Knierim & Brandon Frazier25:47 - Iuliia Artemeva & Mikhail Nazarychev29:32 - Aleksandra Boikova & Dmitri Kozlovskii34:32 - IDF: WOMEN35:17 - Starr Andrews37:11 - Lea Serna39:59 - LEE Haein42:30 - YOKOI Yuhana45:10 - PARK Yeongjeong47:56 - Ekaterina Ryabova50:24 - Mariah Bell55:02 - Karen Chen58:06 - Kseniia Sinitsyna1:00:03 - HIGUCHI Wakaba1:02:05 - Alëna Kostornaia1:08:45 - Anna Shcherbakova1:14:06 - Kiss & Cry segment (Alysa Liu coaching change, Warsaw Cup)1:18:08 - Outro------------------------------------------------Follow our figure skating podcast on:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lutzgetdownpod/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/lutzgetdownpod And to work with us please contact lutzgetdownpod@gmail.com Logo design by @dezisartvibes on Instagramxx Joce & Clauds
Welcome to our Skate Canada recap episodes! The Women and Pairs events were, well, eventful, although not quite as hair raising as Men (but we'll get to them soon). The Pairs event was basically the Vancouver stop on Harry Styles' Love on Tour (well, kinda), but with the most unfortunate song lyric choice. We also celebrated with Ashley Cain-Gribble and Tim LeDuc for their bronze medal win, and canceled SBS 3S with Sui Wenjing and Han Cong (and prayed that at least one person would say his name right). In the Ladies event, we watched yet another Bolero program, although what a beautiful one it was from Kamila Valieva. We also SCREAMED for Higuchi Wakaba's Lion King program while also cursing JSF for many reasons on her behalf.Timestamps:(00:00) - Intro(05:07) - PAIRS(06:00) - Zoe Jones & Chris Boyadji(08:50) - Lori-Ann Matte & Thierry Ferland(11:47) - Kirsten Moore-Towers & Michael Marinaro(19:41) - Minerva Fabienne Hase & Nolan Seegert(24:06) - Vanessa James & Eric Radford(29:39) - Ashley Cain-Gribble & Tim LeDuc(34:50) - Daria Pavliuchenko & Denis Khodykin(41:34) - SUI Wenjing & HAN Cong(46:24) - WOMEN(46:46) - Alison Schumacher(49:26) - Emily Bausback(51:37) - Karen Chen(55:20) - KAWABE Mana(58:18) - Madeline Schizas(1:01:48) - LEE Hae-in(1:04:49) - HIGUCHI Wakaba(1:10:40) - Alysa Liu(1:14:21) - MIHARA Mai(1:19:47) - Aliona Kostornaia(1:30:28) - Elizaveta Tuktamysheva(1:34:51) - Kamila Valieva(1:43:05) - Outro------------------------------------------------Follow our figure skating podcast on:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lutzgetdownpod/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/lutzgetdownpod And to work with us please contact lutzgetdownpod@gmail.com Logo design by @dezisartvibes on Instagramxx Joce & Clauds

Holly Ordway is Professor of English and Director of the M.A. in Apologetics at Houston Baptist University. She was a happy atheist, but was converted to Christianity through apologetics and her love of literature. Vanessa James is a musician who was a committed Christian until a few years ago when she lost her faith and became an atheist. Both stories don’t quite finish there however, as you’ll hear in this programme as they dialogue on the pros and cons of atheism, Christianity and our search for meaning, beauty and truth.
