Send us a textStrap in, degenerates. In this brutally honest, no-holds-barred episode of Ones Ready, we sit down with Recon Marine, The War Journal author, intelligence community insider, and potential future Ambassador to Afghanistan—James. Freakin' Sisco. This isn't your average “rah-rah” war story episode. Sisco takes us deep into the grit and grime of Desert Storm, recounts the absolute hilarity of rolling into combat with Oakleys and Guns N' Roses, and then slams you into an emotional brick wall with betrayal, loss, and the aftermath of trauma stuffed into a rucksack for 30 years. From saving lives with a handwritten journal to calling BS on the Medal of Honor fame train, Jim serves up reality checks hotter than a desert MRE. He even casually drops that he's running a global risk advisory firm, trying to be Charge d'Affaires to Afghanistan, and working on a freakin' miniseries with the Marine Corps. This episode is raw. It's hilarious. It's painful. It's human. It's what happens when the mission ends and the real battle begins—with yourself.

Welcome to Neo-Reality Collective | Pop-Culture News and Reviews Talk, Hosted by Eric Brown! In the Seventieth-First episode, Reddit continues to self-destruct (along with other platforms) with absurd changes due to the rise of Artificial Intelligence, so by corpo logic, everyone will be punished for it. The Flash's Director, Andy Muschietti, defends The film's questionable CGI by basically saying, ‘It intended to suck, therefore it's alright!', and can only hope his subsequent significant work, Batman: The Brave and The Bold, goes much better than Ezra Miller's Flash. John Stewart, DC's Earth Green Lantern of many, is set to return in a new comic series titled, ‘Green Lantern: War Journal', set for release following the DC Event Comic, Knight Terrors. House of The Dragon Season 2 is brought up again, with production hopefully set to start soon, showcasing the Dance of The Dragons and the beginning of the end of House Targaryen. Xbox's Matt Booty confirms that they're no longer making games for The Xbox One, ending the era of the XBONE as Dan Houser forms a new studio after leaving Rockstar Games since its founding and Xbox Plaza and Microsoft Theater are renamed into the Peacock brand. David Fincher's iconic Se7en film is set for a 4K transition, and the director wishes not fundamentally to change the film and references E.T.'s controversial changes with the police that Stephen Spielberg has regretted doing. Diablo IV's Hardcore mode enrages players with their character's permadeaths happening in the most absurd way possible: Loading Screens. We learn more about the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 Fundamental Foundation Changing Expansion Pack: Phantom Liberty and the planned Cyberpunk 2077 sequel! Abrams and Glen Powell Imax documentary 'Blue Angels' THIS WEEK'S GUEST Combat-tested leader and seasoned executive James Sisco had a distinguished, 23-year military career as a reconnaissance Marine and Naval Intelligence Officer. Slam the Gavel welcomes back Jim Sisco for an update on his efforts to reunite with his children. Previous podcast Season 3, Episode 176. Jim has not seen his children in over 17 months after RAISING 2 of his 3 children BY HIMSELF for over a YEAR. However, after filing for divorce, Jim's ex-wife gave him PRIMARY PHYSICAL CUSTODY of the twins, separating them from their younger sister. While she was in her mother's care, she threatened self-harm. There was an overwhelming amount of evidence of parental alienation and physical and emotional abuse, Jim represent himself in court. Judge Thomas P. Mann presided over the case and ruled that Mr. Sisco had practiced extreme Parental Alienation that was tantamount to child abuse. The RULING was not based on facts or evidence. There were NEVER any allegations of physical, mental, or emotional abuse by his ex-wife or her lawyer and there were NO expert WITNESSES. The only witnesses in the trial were his ex-wife's father and best friend. Judge Mann gave full legal custody of all three children to Jim's ex-wife and his visitation was limited to 30-MINUTE SKYPE CALLS on Sunday evenings. His decision was based upon his opinion that Jim had practiced extreme Parental Alienation that was equivalent to CHIILD ABUSE. Judge Mann forced Jim to undergo a psychological evaluation, complete a 14-week parenting course and enroll in anger management therapy. Jim completed the court's requirements and returned to court to increase visitation and custody. Judge Mann prompted the opposing counsel to file a motion to strike, which he granted stating there was no material change in circumstance and awarded $30,000.00 in LEGAL FEES. Judge Mann's DECISION was heavily INFLUENCED by the death of his daughter, who was murdered. Over the past two years, Jim has spent over $250,000.00 in legal fees, contacted CPS on 7 different occasions, spoken with experts in the field of PA, and reached out to numerous veterans organizations and father's advocacy groups to get help. His EFFORTS continue to FALL UPON DEAF EARS, which is why he launched a social media campaign and wrote a #1 BEST SELLING BOOK to create AWARENESS.To Find Jim's Book: https://www.amazon.com/War-Journal-Marines-Discovery-Critical/dp/B0BW31G5THSupportshow(https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri)http://www.dismantlingfamilycourtcorruption.com/Support the showSupportshow(https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri)http://www.dismantlingfamilycourtcorruption.com/

Hi TF-Fans! Welcome to a new episode of Transformerspodden! The Swedish podcast on Transformers! Todays episode will be in english because today we have a guest! We have the honour to have John-Paul Bove with us! John-Paul Bove is a British comic artist. His non-Transformers work has included G.I. Joe and Doctor Who for IDW Publishing and Wrath Of The Titans for Bluewater Productions. He was originally inspired to tell his own stories by the Marvel UK Transformers comic and has written and colored many stories for the Transformers: Mosaic project including the 22 page story "War Journal". His first script job on our favourite franchise was the Beast Wars BotCon 2016 story "Dawn of the Predacus" but he had previously pitched a version of Spotlight: Metroplex & Wreck Gar. On Transformers: The Definitive G1 Collection, Bove was tasked to colour the black-and-white UK strips of 1989-90. So the strips would flow better with the other reprints, he coloured the strips that followed on from US strips in a pastiche of the 64-colour 'dots' used in the Silver Age and 1980s; for UK-tied strips, he used the same more diverse colour palette and shades as the last colour stories. Great writer, great artist, Amazing guy!

Released in 2004, The Punisher marked the return of the infamous Marvel character to live action. It had been 15 years since his first appearance in 1989's film of the same name, and a lot had changed in the landscape of comic book cinema. The world was at the precipice of what would become a boom, an unfiltered and unfettered influx of properties—not all of which were of the utmost quality. This was pre-MCU, a time before Disney put a stranglehold on characters that fell within Marvel's kingdom. This version of the Punisher is an exemplar of those wilder times—in both good ways and bad. The good: It's an unapologetic, hard-R, in your face, kick ass and take names action movie filled with an array of bullets, blood, and fisticuffs. Oh, and classic performances from both Thomas Jane as the central protagonist and John Travolta as the wonderfully hammy villain Howard Saint. The bad is just about everything else. Lacking the budget of other comic properties of the time, The Punisher's seams begin to burst under the weight of its ambition. Its script, which waffles between hackneyed and preposterous, is only saved by the actors giving their all in service to the material. It is truly a B-movie wrapped up in the body of an aspiring blockbuster. But that is also what makes it so damn good. Unfortunately, as I referenced above, it was released in a time when superhero cinema was not guaranteed to rake in the big bucks. Premiering the same weekend as Kill Bill Vol. 2, it placed second with just over $13.8 million and finished its run with $54.7 million worldwide. Costing just around $33 million, it wasn't a huge flop; and it did do good numbers upon home release. That did not save it, though, from becoming a one and done. It's tepid response (29% from critics with 170 reviews), coupled with its mediocre receipts, spelled the end for this version of the character; he was relegated to the junk heap of history and rebooted only four years later (The less said about that movie, the better). The world is poorer for it. In a sea of increasingly derivative comic book movies, there's something to be appreciated about this film's aesthetic. It's gritty and gruesome. It embraces it's silliness while also delivering on its promise; the Punisher does what all fans of him expect him to do, slaying gangsters in a slew of barbaric ways. It's also infinitely rewatchable. Cheers to you, Thomas Jane! So sit back, pour yourself a shot of Wild Turkey, and grab your finest acoustic guitar as I, the Thunderous Wizard (@WriterTLK), Capt. Cash, and Chumpzilla map out an incredibly convoluted revenge plot! This Week’s Segments: Introduction – In the swan song of Travolta Month, we break down everything pertinent to The Punisher (2004)—from the best action sequence to the most grisly kill. (00:00) Interesting Facts about the Movie and Our "Declaration of Intent" Punisher Trivia Challenge – After offering up some lesser known truths about the production of this movie, I challenge Capt. Cash and Chumpzilla to trivia about its making, as well as its titular character. (57:31) Recommendations – We close the show with our Punisher/Thomas Jane-related picks for the week; in addition, we "unwrap" a surprise episode to follow Terminator: Dark Fate. If the pun didn't tip you off, it's seasonally appropriate. War Journal tells the story of one of the most incredible escapes in World War II,“ said the film’s producer, writer and director Tim Gray. Gray is also Founder of the non-profit World War II Foundation and President of Tim Gray Media. “Two Americans, both escapees of Bataan, Damon Gause from Corregidor as well who, in 1942, in a leaky 20-foot fishing boat, escaped and sailed from the Philippines to Australia and freedom,” Gray said. It took Gause and fellow American William Lloyd Osborne 52 days and 3,200 miles to reach freedom. During the trip, the Americans faced typhoons, constant threats from Japanese ships, submarines and airplanes, lack of water and food and even a visit to a leper colony. When the two Americans arrived at General Douglas MacArthur’s office in Brisbane, Australia the only thing the General could say was “Well, I’ll be damned.”
Our hosts finally reach the episode they've been talking about reviewing since the beginning -- Enter the Punisher! Alex and Will discuss their memories of watching this episode as children and their first introduction to the Punisher character. Will's dislike for the Punisher in this show is still apparent, as he discusses the strange voice choice for the chatacter and his sporadic War Journal entries -- plus the fact he can't kill anyone! They also talk about the Scorsese style shots of the 3D sets in the intro of this episode, all the jokes about additional limbs, how the Punisher's battle van is the true MVP, Spider-Man’s 90's version of Google Maps, and Alex discovers he has an irrational fear of turning into a mindless, grotesque monster. Our hosts also discuss the upcoming Marvel movies and characters that they would like to see next, the continued hype and success for End Game, and cast the Punisher in the MCU! It's another web-slnger of an episode, so let your spidey senses tingle and enjoy!

War Journal entry #103. With the recent announcement that Netflix officially cancelled The Punisher, Travis and Xavier take a look back at all of the live action versions of Frank Castle aka The Punisher. They start off by taking a minute to look back at how they were first introduced to the character in the comic books back in the day growing up. They then give their thoughts on the first 1989 movie, the 2004 John Travolta film, and the crazy 2008 cult flick, War Zone. They look at why Dolph was missing the skull & was it really hiding in plain sight the whole time, what could have made Lundgren’s Punisher even better, what was up with those crazy opening credits of the 89 flick, what took so long to make a new movie, why does the 2004 film not work, what was the best tweak to his origin from that movie, did the Punisher actually sign a lease agreement?! Also, does a t-shirt actually ward off evil spirits, why is Punisher not killing anybody, how many bombs does it take to form a giant skull explosion, what change was made to the Marvel logo at the start of War Zone, how crazy was that opening scene, how over-the-top was everything else in that flick, what happens to people who parkour near the Punisher? After recapping the films, they rank the movies and the actors who portrayed him. Who is the most "true-to-form" Punisher? Which movie was the best? Which movie is the worst and why is it the 2004 one? They then discuss the Netflix Punisher series by trying to remember what happened in season 1 before going into what worked and what didn’t work in season 2. What mistake was made between Daredevil season 2 to Punisher season 1? Can we get past what made Castle turn into Punisher? Why is Jigsaw still a pretty boy? Did they end up cramming two seasons into one with the last season? Does Jon Bernthal channel Shane from Walking Dead while he’s playing Castle? How does Bernthal stack up next to the other live action Punishers? How would they want to see Castle be introduced into the MCU and with who? Hit that download button and enjoy! We'll also tell time in Casablanca and puzzle over a towing fatality. Intro: H.M. Small patented a hammock for railway passenger cars in 1889.
