The Outer Space, Hyperspace and Inner Space collide!!!...as we attempt to redefine reality, searching for the aliens of our own psyche! The cosmos is as vast as the variety of its interpretations! We are all material constituents of the universal clockwork, yet psychological instigators of infinite abstract realities! Want more pseudo-philosophical nonsense? Hit the Play button! We get very meta and introspective, so much that we find ourselves lost in our own mind... multiple times! Literally! Aliens, UFOs, dreams, hallucinations, hypnosis, psychedelics, even extra-dimensional lifeforms... we talk about it all, yet say nothing! What does any of this even mean? I don't know! Help support a new, amazing, awesome indie podcaster! Murder Bird covers true crime cases involving women and girls, BUT...in a very genuine, respectful and objective way! MAJOR TRIGGER WARNING!!! In this episode we talk about otters, yes, we're going there, we're scraping the bottom of the barrel! So naturally, as it is with otters, expect to be exposed to depraved topics which may include kidnapping, child neglect, male aggression, torture, sadism, sexual assault, serial murder, cannibalism, necrophilia, infanticide, and many forms of inter-species violence…and perversion! But that's not the worst…oh noooo…we are also going to engage in the most controversial and degenerate act known to man: Criticizing endangered species! Oh my! TRIGGER WARNING: This episode is PACKED with colorful vocabulary! Most would define these as sexually explicit words, which does not make sense, because these words are referring to organs used for nursing (which are not used for sex!). However, we do use sexually explicit language when referring to the male body, because men have it coming! Oops In today's episode... Me, Myself and YVA toss around some wacky theories! Were the Ediacaran seas packed with floating boobs? Are these boobs remnants of our long-lost dolphin overlords? Have geologists been covering up the existence of prehistoric boobies for decades? And the most wacky, insane theory or all...should we stop sexualizing non-sexual body parts and allow a whole gender to freely inhabit the physical vessels they are born with? Oh, how shocking! Join the party! We be tripping…over…the complexity of this topic, yes :) We're screwed over by termites again, so heeey... since they're a never-ending source of weirdness, let's talk about them again! Never mind the aggregated colonies of the same species… instead, today we showcase the extramarital inter-species union of termites and Termitomyces mushrooms. You already know why we picked this…both have a mutual love of consuming poop!...which, unfortunately, cannot overshadow our love of blasting your ears with S-bombs! ====================== Send us suggestions and comments to darwinsdeviations@gmail.com Intro/outro sampled from "Sequence (Mystery and Terror) 3" by Francisco Sánchez (@fanchisanchez) at pixabay.com (Outro was heavily edited by us) Sound effects obtained from https://www.zapsplat.com Image Credit This image was created by user Liz Popich (Lizzie) at Mushroom Observer, a source for mycological images, CC BY-SA 3.0 (Episode image is heavily edited, the image owner reserves all rights to their image, and is not affiliated with our podcast) SOURCES: My education...cuz today I know what the heck I'm talking about...kinda Wikipedia: Termitomyces Wikipedia: Macrotermitinae Termitomyces: exploring the world's most mysterious mushroom The genus Termitomyces, By Tobias Frøslev ScienceDirect: Termitomyces Forest Floor Narrative: Fungi Friday; Termitomyces titanicus Rouland-Lefèvre, Corinne & Bignell, David. The most asexual episode…that will blow you away with the most F-bombs! Oscillatoria, and all cyanobacteria, are slimy, scummy, invisible…they do not need to be handsome, they are their own partners, and they are EVERYWHERE! You cannot escape them, they will even tear themselves apart in order to hitch a ride on your muddy sneaker….follow you home..and terrorize you with their overt photosynthetic efficiency…and existence…and capabilities to survive for over 3.5 billion years without ever getting laid! Trichobatrachus robustus, a.k.a the Hairy/Horror/Wolverine frog. Described somewhere after the late 1880s. Short and hairy, it prefers to inadvertently stab everyone who hugs it. Powers & Abilities include enhanced senses, animal-like attributes, a regenerative healing factor, retractable bone claws, an indestructible skeleton (it will destroy it itself before ever giving you a chance) and is a master foot-to-foot combatant.
