Skeptics Parse NBC News Statement After Employee Accused Of Tailing Rittenhouse Jurors Bus - Skeptics are accusing NBC News of attempting to mislead in a Thursday statement after police alleged an MSNBC freelancer was following the bus of the Kyle Rittenhouse trial jury. Wisconsin circuit court Judge Bruce Schroeder banned MSNBC from his courthouse on Thursday after police caught and cited a man for a traffic violation claiming to be with the network tailing the jury's sealed bus. The man said he was under orders from a higher-up at the network in New York, according to authorities. NBC News, a sister network to MSNBC, admitted that the man involved in the incident was a freelancer for MSNBC. NBC News denied that the man was tailing the bus, contrary to what he told police, according to authorities. NBC News also claimed that the freelancer never intended to contact jurors “during deliberations.” “Last night, a freelancer received a traffic citation. While the traffic violation took place near the jury van, the freelancer never contacted or intended to contact the jurors during deliberations, and never photographed or intended to photograph them,” NBC News said in a statement. “We regret the incident and will fully cooperate with the authorities on any investigation.” The “during deliberations” phrase of the statement received attention and criticism online as reporters and others suggested that NBC was trying to mislead and cover for sending a freelancer after the Rittenhouse trial jurors. “*During deliberations*,” said Erielle Davidson, a senior policy analyst at the Jewish Institute for National Security of America. “Full intent on seeing the jurors and contacting them after deliberations. Given the media's generally grotesque coverage of this trial, at what point does such behavior amount to intimidation?” Radio host Vince Coglianese remarked, “NBC promises the guy they had following the jury never intended to do anything related to journalism.” “He said he was told to follow them. This statement doesn't address that,” Tablet Magazine CTO Noam Blum said, referring to the freelancer's statement to police. NBC News did not immediately respond to a request for clarification from The Daily Wire. Schroeder announced that he had banned MSNBC from the courthouse on Thursday after receiving a report from police. “The matter is under further investigation at this point, and the media has asked questions about it. That's the latest I have,” Schroeder said. “He was ticketed for violating a traffic control signal. He is not here today, from what I'm told, and I have instructed that no one from MSNBC News will be permitted in this building for the duration of this trial.” The judge added that the matter would be referred to the “proper authorities” for further investigation. “This is a very serious matter, and I don't know what the ultimate truth of it is, but absolutely it would go without much thinking that someone who is following a jury bus, that's an extremely serious matter and will be referred to the proper authorities for further action,” he said. Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky said that President Joe Biden's vaccine coercion mandates will effectively “destroy our economy” and put thousands of Americans out of work. “We're about to destroy our economy if Biden follows through with these vaccine mandates,” Massie said on “The Truth with Lisa Boothe” on Thursday. Massie said one of the industries most affected by this mandate is the trucking industry, which is already suffering a supply-chain crisis created by government-mandated lockdowns and exacerbated by the Biden administration's economic policies. “I just came from a roundtable in my transportation and infrastructure committee. … We had experts from the industry that deals with the supply chain, trucking experts, the people who unload the shipping containers,” Massie said. “And one of the things they keyed in on, is the contractor mandate kicks in on December 8th … and then there's this OSHA mandate, that's going to come out. What I learned is that 37 percent of truckers say they will retire, quit or find another job if they are required to get the vaccine as a result of the federal contractor mandate or the OSHA mandate.” Massie said that even if just a fraction of those follow through and are forced out of their jobs, “this would be a supply chain disaster of epic proportions and we will suffer from inflation shortages.” “We'll go back to where we were 18 months ago, where they were euthanizing animals because they couldn't get them processed, you know, livestock for food. It will be a dystopian future if Biden follows through, and people will suffer all across the country if he follows through with these mandates, just on truckers, that's not even talking about all the other people that are being mandated or about to be mandated,” Massie said. Massie also noted that getting the COVID shot doesn't prevent virus transmission so even mandating it won't eliminate the risk of workers contracting it. “This vaccine, nobody is any longer claiming, not even the CDC, and especially not the CDC, that this stops people from giving COVID to other people. In fact, there is a study that shows that the vaccinated are giving it to the vaccinated inside of healthcare settings,” he said. “There is no logical imperative for the government to force that on somebody, unless they are your legal guardian. The only person who could make the decision to take a drug or a treatment is the person themselves or their legal guardian. But the situation we're in, is the government is pretending that they are our legal guardian now, or that they own us like livestock, and that we're receiving the treatment, not to protect other people, but to protect ourselves. But they're the ones prescribing it.” Massie said the government now holds the power and “they own us at that point.” “This is why they changed the definition of vaccination in September. They are slowly boiling the frog by changing definitions in order to meet their mandates because their mandate isn't ethical, moral, constitutional, or even scientific in the context of your performance of this vaccine. So they have to change the definition, the words, and that's what they've been doing. And they may soon change the definition of fully vaccinated to exclude people who had two jabs,” he said. During a House Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure subcommittee hearing this week, Massie questioned whether the Biden administration has directed agencies to grant religious exemptions to the COVID-19 vaccine mandate. “Have you received any guidance from the Biden administration on how to process these requests, given that the law requires that religious accommodations be made to the vaccine mandate?” Massie asked officials at the General Services Administration.

The annual inflation rate in the US edged up to a 13-year high of 5.4% in September of 2021 from 5.3% in August and above market expectations of 5.3%. Main upward pressure came from cost of shelter (3.2% vs 2.8% in August); food (4.6% vs 3.7%, the highest since December of 2011), namely food at home (4.5% vs 3%); new vehicles (8.7% vs 7.6%); and energy (24.8% vs 25%). On the other hand, prices eased for used cars and trucks (24.4% percent vs 31.9%); transportation services (4.4% vs 4.6%); apparel (3.4% vs 4.2%); and medical care services (0.9% vs 1%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices advanced 0.4%, above forecasts of 0.3%, with the indexes for food and shelter contributing more than half of the monthly increase. State School Board Groups Blast National Association For Exploiting Political Disputes To Attack Parents OCTOBER 13, 2021 By Jordan Davidson State school boards associations are condemning the National School Boards Association (NSBA) for mischaracterizing protests in their districts and using them to justify the involvement of federal law enforcement and domestic terrorism laws against concerned parents. Just last month, the NSBA sent a letter to President Joe Biden begging him and his administration to prosecute and punish parents who were fed up with the radical indoctrination of their children in schools. Shortly after, the U.S. Justice Department's Attorney General Merrick Garland directed the FBI and state attorneys to address “a disturbing spike in harassment, intimidation, and threats of violence against school administrators, board members, teachers, and staff who participate in the vital work of running our nation's public schools.” As of Wednesday, at least 14 state school board associations reported to Parents Defending Education that they were not consulted before the letter was sent to the Biden administration. Particular organizations such as the Georgia School Boards Association said the NSBA even cited incidents in their state as justification for federal overreach without asking them for input first. “The Georgia School Boards Association (GSBA) was not consulted about this letter, did not provide information to NSBA, and was not informed that the letter was being sent, even though a Georgia school district was used as an example in the letter,” GSBA noted in its statement to Parents Defending Education. “GSBA supports the constitutional authority of local boards to manage and control the public schools of this state. Elected officials and appointed leadership who are closest to the community are best suited to make those decisions, especially the hard ones. … While we look for support to our state and federal governments, we do not seek the involvement of federal law enforcement or other officials in local decisions.” While a handful of the state associations simply said they were unaware of NSBA's letter until it was published, most state groups condemned the national association's request to use domestic terrorism laws to target parents and said the protests they've experienced have not warranted law enforcement involvement beyond the local and state level. “The DSBA disagrees, in the strongest possible terms, with parents and citizens protesting school board meetings being characterized as ‘domestic terrorists' and their protests being likened to ‘hate crimes,'” the Delaware School Boards Association said in a statement. “The DSBA firmly asserts that citizen and public engagement in school board meetings is an integral and vital aspect of school board governance. We also made it clear that any attempt to silence citizens' voices is a clear violation of their rights to free speech. The DSBA is an apolitical advocacy organization, and we do not engage in partisan politics.” A few of the associations even said they support parents' rights to protest and publicly express frustration with how their children are being taught. “To this end, we provide extensive resources and training to our members, so school boards not only exceed the legal requirements of the Open Meetings Act, but also authentically nurture school communities where parent and community voices are welcomed,” the Texas School Boards Association wrote. “It's natural that community members across a state as large and diverse as Texas are going to have different opinions on important K-12 issues. We think this diversity of opinion — and the ability to express it openly — makes us strong.”

The Pentagon said in a Monday briefing that it will consider leaving American troops in Afghanistan past Aug. 31, in consultation with Biden and allies, but dismissed the idea of the U.S. military taking back Bagram Airfield to speed up evacuations. Meanwhile, Taliban officials told Reuters that they are unwilling to extend the deadline and the "occupation" by U.S. forces. The group warned about "consequences" if the deadline is extended. Americans believe that people aged 44 and younger account for about 30% of total deaths; the actual figure is 2.7%. Americans overestimate the risk of death from COVID-19 for people aged 24 and younger by a factor of 50; and they think the risk for people aged 65 and older is half of what it actually is (40% vs 80%). The once-celebrated presidential candidate recently called it quits, and mainstream pundits struggled to explain why. Some argued Harris never articulated a clear and consistent message distinguishing her from competitors. Others believed she irreparably damaged herself by supporting “Medicare for All” (albeit offering several confusing iterations), which many see as a political non-starter. Some said Harris’ campaign was simply poorly run. Others opined she was the victim of a racially stacked primary deck. Even though Barack Obama surprisingly won Iowa in 2008, Harris struggled to gain support in the small, mostly white state whose African American population is a whopping 3.8%. All that may be true, but it misses the most important part of the story. It was one thing for Harris to receive little to no support from whites in Iowa, but how could the fact that blacks in South Carolina (and beyond) weren’t excited about her either be explained? Indeed, Harris was quick to showcase her racial bona fides early in her candidacy. She is a graduate of Howard University, a legendary historically black school that has yielded American icons from Thurgood Marshall to Toni Morrison to Chadwick Bozeman. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, a blue blood black sorority with a socio-political network supposedly so extensive that CNN’s Maeve Reston called it Harris’ “secret weapon.” Harris even announced her candidacy on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in 2019. That and her blindside of Joe Biden on his busing record made it clear she was attempting to lure African American votes by wrapping herself in the cloak of black struggle. It didn’t sell. While some members of the self-involved black bourgeoisie nauseatingly praised her, younger blacks and black progressives were taking deeper, dispassionate dives into Harris’ real-world record. They didn’t like what they found. To the chagrin of her supporters, close examinations of the woman who took pride in the title of California’s “top cop” by writers like Lara Bazelon, C.J. Ciaramella, Sarah Lustbader, Vaidya Gullapalli, Joe Garafoli and others revealed that Harris had been nothing close to the civil rights warrior she claimed to be. In actuality, she had spent much of her professional life prosecuting and persecuting poor people and minorities. Bazelon wrote that Harris “opposed or stayed silent” on multiple aspects of criminal justice reform. She “laughed” when a reporter asked her about decriminalizing marijuana before reversing course years later as public opinion changed. She opposed a bill requiring her office to investigate police shootings. She also opposed statewide police officer body-camera regulations. Her record on police reform was so troubling for many that Garafoli cited former Harris supporter and California activist Phelicia Jones lamenting, “How many more people need to die before she steps in?” Harris didn’t stop there. She even fought for a law that would prosecute parents of “habitually truant” elementary schoolers, “despite concerns that it would disproportionately affect low-income people of color.” When Harris released her memoir, “The Truths We Hold,” Ciaramella reviewed it and wrote, “Kamala Harris’ new book tries to massage her record as a prosecutor, but the facts aren’t pretty.” In the book, Harris claims, “America has a deep and dark history of people using the power of the prosecutor as an instrument of injustice.” She goes on, “I know this history well — of innocent men framed, of charges brought against people without sufficient evidence, of prosecutors hiding information that would exonerate defendants, of the disproportionate application of the law.”

I can assure you that they have caught no fish, because there are none of the kind they are hopelessly looking for. One has to wonder why Nancy Pelosi finally took the bait of some of her most radical members and decided to put her weight behind an impeachment inquiry, especially since the phone call between President Trump and President Zelinsky had yet to be released at the time she did so. She was not willing to wait on the transcript. There’s something nefarious going on here. My guess is that the whistleblower is cooperating with the democrats. I could be totally wrong, but when you look at how all of this came to a head within the last week or so, it’s plain to see that something is wrong here. Something is wrong, because the truth is not being told about Joe and Hunter Biden. It’s important to the overall health of this nation that justice be done. As the American Welfare State continues to grow, for many, the American dream is no longer realized through hard work and self-sacrifice. Instead it’s found in handouts from the government. Dreamland for so many Americans nowadays is the government dole. Never mind the fact that the national debt is approaching $23 trillion. Examples of economic ruin can be found almost everywhere throughout the history of mankind. Typically it is a major contributing factor to the ultimate collapse of civilizations, kingdoms, and empires throughout history. The more our debt rises, the greater the financial burden for our children, grandchildren, etc. in the future. Democrats are ready to expand government healthcare coverage to include all Americans and perhaps even illegal immigrants. Well sure they are. This is a political party that depends on failure. Without it, they would not exist. They use taxpayers' money for large welfare programs, many of which have recipients who are not American citizens. When the President pushes back on the Welfare State, he has my approval. When he advocates clearing welfare roles of non-citizens, he is mocked and ridiculed by democrats and their media mouthpieces. For instance, CNN’s Don Lemon claims the Statue of Liberty is literally hanging her head in shame because of what the president is proposing. Little does he know, however, that immigration policies at a time when millions of immigrants were coming to the US to be greeted by Lady Liberty were a lot more harsh than Trump’s proposition. The American dream needs saving. We must work to protect it at all costs. Enough with excuses; blaming others for mistakes and tragedies. The democrat party needs to put its money where its mouth is. Instead of campaigns of hate because everything is supposedly the fault of the political opposition, perhaps they should stop using their statuses as sons and daughters of prominent democrats to get into Ivy League schools. The testimony delivered by former Special Counsel Bob Mueller last week was unnerving to say the least. From the onset, it was quite clear that Mr. Mueller never controlled the probe. That control was stolen by partisan leftist hacks led by Andrew Weissmann himself. It would seem that Mr. Mueller hired Weissmann and subsequently allowed him to do the rest of the hiring. Both Mueller and the American people were played for fools. The special counsel's ailing health presented Weissmann with an opportunity he could not let pass him by. He would insert himself into the investigation to bring down the president. When he could not lawfully charge the president with a crime, he made one up, just like he did with Arthur Anderson. Weissmann failed to adhere to key DOJ regulations when it comes to running an investigation like this. The illegitimacy of this whole thing is gut wrenching and tragic.
