It’s July, and we’re in the midst of one of the hottest summers on record. It can get stressful, these days. So much is happening around the world. We might not agree on many issues. But there is one thing, it seems, that most of us agree on. It’s uplifting and delicious. It’s America’s favorite dessert…ice cream. Last year, $6.1-billion was spent on flavors ranging from cookies ‘n’ cream, moose tracks, chocolate chip cookie dough, chocolate and the number one favorite…vanilla. In July, 2011 a new ice ream shop joined the scene. Their artisanal ice cream features flavors like flan, passion fruit, sweet potato- ancho-chile-chocolate-chip and their legendary, Abuela Maria. Teresa will be talking to Suzy Batlle, founder of Azucar Ice Cream from their new Dallas location. Pat de la Rosa, Azucar’s general manager will be in our studio. Talk about female power.
