In this episode I am joined by Amazon listing optimization expert Emma Tamir where we break down the tips and strategies that help your listings convert to sales. Having a well optimized listing that speaks to your target customer is essential to growing your business on and off of Amazon.  KEY TAKEAWAYS FROM THE PODCAST:  1. Know your target customer - It's critical that you build a customer avatar and speak them appropriately in your listing copy. You need to know what's important to them and how to speak to them to get their attention.  2. Tell your brand story - What makes your product and brand unique and different compared to the competition? You should use your listing and A+ content sections to tell the story of your products and brand. Why should they buy your product over the competition? What is your brand all about? What do you stand for?  3. Add text to images: Amazon is a very visual platform as most customers will pay lots of attention to your images. Use some space on your images to add some text to help you point out a feature or benefit of your product and guide the customers decision. Be careful not to add too much text and make sure the text is large enough that it can be ready without zooming in on it.    CONNECT WITH EMMA TAMIR  ==>> Marketing By Emma    Not a member of the Facebook Mastermind group yet? In this episode I chat with Greg Mercer from Jungle Scout where Greg and I share tips and Amazon Q4 strategies to help you succeed.  Listen to this Amazon FBA Podcast! [powerpress] Maximizing your Holiday Sales - Amazon Q4 Tips with Greg Mercer EP140 If you want to have a wildly successful Q4 selling on Amazon then you need to have a strategy and a plan to maximize sales and profit. Amazon just gets bigger and better every year and this Q4 selling season will no doubt be the biggest ever. The opportunity for Amazon sellers to absolutely crush it and make tons of money is all right in front of us. In this episode I am joined by Greg Mercer from Jungle Scout where we break down and share important Amazon Q4 Tips and strategies to help you maximize sales and profit.  IMPORTANT DATES:  Black Friday - November 29th Cyber Monday - December 2nd November 6 - for Black Friday and Cyber Monday December 3 - for the holiday gift-giving season    KEY TAKEAWAYS FROM PODCAST    GET SMART WITH INVENTORY  One of the most important components of having a successful Q4 is to have a strategy around your inventory. You need to find a fine balance of having the right inventory in order to maximize profits. If Amazon sellers have too much inventory stored at Amazon FBA then you will eat up all your profits with the sky high storage fees that Amazon charges in Q4. If you don't have enough then you could run out of stock in the middle of the madness and lose out on sales and profit as well which is no fun.  Analyze your products historical sales data to determine how much inventory you will need to be comfortably in stock If this is a new product then analyze your competitions historical sales data Consider storing your inventory at an off-sight warehouse and then drip feeding it into Amazon FBA as needed.  Or store inventory at your house if possible and drip feed into Amazon FBA as needed OTHER KEY POINTS If you have a gift-able item then consider optimizing your listing to highlight that.   Add pictures to showcase your item in a holiday setting Consider adding video to highlight that your item makes a great gift for the holidays  Update your sales copy to highlight that it makes a great gift Tighten up your Amazon PPC ads campaigns NOW Consider increasing your PPC spend during key times during Q4 Expand your campaigns and cast a wider net  Make sure you are running coupons and appropriate promotions as customers are deal shopping Build your own email list or Many Chat audience to drive traffic to your offers Raise your prices if your competition runs out of stock so you can maximize profits Increased sales and traffic on Amazon usually stays strong well into January and February  Make sure to place your inventory orders at the end of December to ensure orders are completed before suppliers shut down for Chinese New Year Having success in Q4 on Amazon is all about preparation. Put the work in now and reap the rewards later. When you use a platform like Amazon FBA they will take care of the heavy lifting for you. So after you get done listening to this podcast I would recommend you sit down in silence and sketch out a plan of attack. Then immediately take action on one of those action points to build momentum.  To your Q4 success!    GREG MERCER - JUNGLE SCOUT Greg Mercer is and Amazon seller and the founder of Jungle Scout. Dave took an idea and passion he had and turned it into a successful thriving business. In this podcast Dave will reveal his story about how get first got started and the lessons he has learned along the way as an entrepreneur and business owner. His brand and company Dave's Gourmet has been featured on major media platforms such as The Food Network, The New York Times and the Wall Street Journal. Here are some key business takeaways that Dave shares with the listeners: DEMAND IS EVERYTHING - If you have a great idea for a product or service then you have to make sure their is actual demand for it in the market. You can easily use platforms like Amazon to launch new products that you can test in the market to get valuable feedback. You should always seek valuable feedback from your audience and customers to help you improve your product. SEEK HAPPINESS - While having an aggressive business strategy is important to maximize sales and profit you may realize that your happiness and sanity are more important. Sometimes you may want to trust your guy and take your business in a direction that you find more fulfilling instead of always stressing about making more money. OUTSOURCING - Hire experts wherever you can to help you run and maintain your business. Spend time doing the tasks that you are good but try to outsource or hire people to manage tasks you don't want to do. Try not to be the jack of all trades when help and experts are easily accessible. Essentially don't be the bottle neck in your own business. For your online business and e-commerce needs consider hiring from the Jungle Market or Freeeup.com. [powerpress] Hacks and Strategies to Explode Your Amazon FBA Business EP 137   In our podcast today I wanted to deliver some simple and actionable tactics that you can use to drive conversions and sales with. I am joined by the one and only Bradley Sutton of Helium 10 where Bradley drops some absolute golden nuggets that sellers can use and implement immediately. I would advise you to listen to this episode and conversation more than once in case you feel you missed anything. Inside Bradley and I discuss the current state of Amazon as well as increasing conversions, improving keywords, product research techniques and launching products successfully on Amazon.  CURRENT STATE OF AMAZON FBA Amazon is becoming more and more competitive over the years but there is still tons of opportunity for new sellers as well as experienced sellers to grow and build their Amazon FBA business. Once you have established yourself on the Amazon FBA USA market it may be time to expand out to Amazon Germany, UK and Japan or other markets. Also consider emerging platforms such as Walmart, Jet or other competing sites. I personally recommend that if you are building your brand you should also setup a Shopify site to expand your reach and net.  CONVERSIONS AND SALES Use a site like Pickfu.com to test our different images for your listing. As a marketer you may think you know what images will work best for your listings but the best route is to get audience feedback. Images are everything on Amazon. When you have the best image that gets the most attention and clicks from customers you will most likely connect on more sales.  To convert on more sales you need to make sure your listing is speaking directly to your customers. You need to dive into your competitors and your own product reviews to fully understand how your customers talk and the lingo and keywords that they are using. This will allow you to better optimize the copy and keywords that you use in the listing. You will also better understand how to position and create your products images once you understand exactly how customers are using the product. Use a tool like Helium 10 to help you extract the review data to make things easier.  LAUNCHING PRODUCTS ON AMAZON FBA Every product is going to be different on how you approach the launching process. More competitive products will require you drive more giveaways or sales to particular keywords to start getting ranked. When you use tools like Helium 10 your will see exactly how many sales you need to connect on for a specific keyword before Amazon will start ranking you for it.  Use PPC as part of your launch strategy and keep your PPC running after the launch is over. Focus in on relevant long tail keywords when you have more competitive products. Build and email list or Many Chat list to launch products to.  Use a launch service if you need some extra juice to get ranked. It's important that you be very mindful and careful of Amazon's TOS and rules in regards to these services.  Use custom URL's to get extra ranking power when driving traffic. See Helium 10's gems page.  Bradley mentioned a few launch services to explore: Check out Rebate Key and  Rank Bell.  It's important to note that if you do a launch and get to page one for your keywords that their is no guarantee that you will stay ranked on page one. Ultimately the market will speak and if your product or listing is not worthy of being ranked on page one yet for the keywords you are targeting then consider keywords with less competition.   PRODUCT RESEARCH There are tons and tons of product opportunities everywhere on Amazon FBA. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. If certain products are hard to compete with on Amazon FBA in the USA then consider other markets around the world or ever other platforms.  Don't become overly reliant on tools to make decisions for you. As great as some of the tools like Helium 10 are we as sellers still need to use our heads and try to find the opportunities in front of us. the tools will give us the data and it's our job to recognize and see things other sellers missed. The key is to remember to give the market what it's wants. Don't reinvent the wheel.    WANNA TRY HELIUM 10? [powerpress] Inside the Mind of an 8-Figure Amazon Seller w/Scott Needham EP136 In this latest podcast episode I am joined by Scott Needham the CTO of Buyboxer. Buyboxer manages the largest assortment of skus on Amazon FBA and has done over $250 million in sales over the years. They currently have a catalog of 70,000 plus skus in their catalog and they also work with brands and businesses to help them grow on Amazon. Check out this podcast episode where I talk with Scott about the current state of Amazon. Scott will also share valuable insight on product research as well as using coupons to drive sales and conversion. Scott will also talk about the importance of filing for reimbursement claims with Amazon for missing and damaged inventory.      THE STATE OF AMAZON While Amazon continues to grow and expand over the globe it's a platform that is attracting thousands of new sellers every single year. More sellers than ever are creating thriving 6, 7, and 8 figure plus businesses utilizing the Amazon FBA platform. Just recently Amazon reported that nearly 150,000 Amazon sellers surpassed $100,000 in sales. While competition may be heating up there still is plenty of opportunity for new sellers coming to the platform.    AMAZON PRODUCT RESEARCH    Don't over-complicate your product research. Keep things simple by selling product that are currently in demand or have an emerging demand as trends start and grow. Using tools like Jungle Scout or Keepa can help you identify these product and trends. There is a lot of opportunity to sell premium versions of products on Amazon. While most sellers and Chinese suppliers tend to have lower quality products focused on value buyers you can carve out your piece of the market by positioning yourself as premium. When you do this you can charge more as long as you have a high quality product with premium packaging and a top notch experience.    Consider exploring the grocery niche for lots of future growth opportunities.   Data is great and can help with your product research but sometimes too much data can be counter productive. It's also important that you develop skills as an Amazon seller to be able to identify market opportunities without having to use tools all the time. You should be able to evaluate a current market and determine what the current market is asking for based on customer feedback, reviews and research.    As Scott mentioned it's certainly worth looking into new and emerging trends in the market. If you jump on trends early you can establish yourself as the leader early on Amazon. Using tools like Google Trends or just recognizing social trends may prove to be valuable.    AMAZON COUPONS   If you want to boost conversions and sales on your products then experiment with Amazon coupons. Most Amazon sellers aren't using these right now so the opportunity is golden to capitalize off of it. Coupons will help your click through rate as the visual green badge that Amazon displays is very eye catching. Also if you have slow moving inventory consider running coupons along with PPC to drive sales or liquidate inventory.    REIMBURSEMENTS    If you have been selling on Amazon for any period of time then chances are Amazon owes you money for missing, lost or damaged inventory. You could be owed thousands of dollars back from Amazon so it's important you dive into your reports on a regular basis. If you don't have the time or the patience to do this then hire a virtual assistant from the Jungle Market to assist with this process. You could also hire a service to assist with this as well. Consider using Scott's service Valence and see how much you are owed in reimbursements.      ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   CONNECT WITH SCOTT NEEDHAM    Scott's Podcast - The Smartest Amazon Seller Reimbursement Service - Valence Services  Account Services + Brand Management - BuyBoxer  Follow Scott Needham on Instagram  JUNGLE SCOUT CONTEST GIVEAWAY!  Want to get entered to win a license for a Jungle Scout chrome extension? [powerpress] How To Have Success Selling on Amazon FBA Internationally EP 135   If you want to scale and grow your business then you have probably thought about expanding globally on Amazon. If you have products that are selling well on Amazon FBA in the US market then it may be time to take your business overseas. While trying to grow your business by selling on Amazon FBA internationally may be exciting it does come with it's own set of challenges. In this episode I am joined by Jana Jana Krekic of YLT-Translations where we talk about translating your existing listings over to new languages and markets.  Here are the key insights and messages discussed in the podcast: Consider expanding into the German Amazon marketplace as it is large and growing.  Make sure you fully understand the culture and the market you are entering. You should do keyword research for each market that you are going to be selling into Do not hire translators from Fiverr or use services like or similar to Google translate  Hire and work with listing translators that understand the market, culture, e-commerce and Amazon Products and markets that might be considered "saturated" on Amazon US might sell very well in new and emerging markets around the world If you have already expanded into international markets and are wondering why your products and listings aren't selling as well as you thought it could be because you have a poorly translated listing. Your sales copy may not be formatted for the market and the people of that market. You may also be using the incorrect keywords for that product in that specific market. It's important again that you do unique keyword research for each market. This will all lead to betting search results on Amazon which of course can lead to more clicks and sales.  If you are thinking of selling on Amazon FBA internationally then you need to work with people that understand the market you are entering. You need someone that can translate your listings and do the proper keyword research to increase your chances of success in the new markets.    Check out and reach out to Jana Krekic of YLT Translations. 6 Tips to Crush Amazon Listing Hijackers and Counterfeiters - EP133

Welcome To Episode #133 of the Amazon FBA Private Label Show Podcast! In this episode I share 6 awesome tips to help you crush and eliminate Amazon listing hijackers and counterfeit sellers.   Listen to this Amazon FBA Podcast! [powerpress] 6 Tips to Crush Amazon Listing Hijackers and Counterfeiters - EP133 If you've been selling on Amazon long enough then you surely have experience in dealing with Amazon listing hijackers. You've worked hard building your listing over time and for some other seller to be able to latch onto your success is terribly frustrating. Sometimes these sellers will even steal your buy box and take your sales. Many of these Amazon listing hijackers tend to be counterfeit sellers which makes matters even worse. These counterfeit sellers are total losers in my opinion. Over the years I have used some of the tips I am about to share with you here to help you prevent and combat these hijackers.  The key to successfully avoiding Amazon listing hijackers altogether is to not become an easy target. Most hijackers and counterfeiters will look for the listings that are "low hanging fruit" and easy to jump on and mess with.  PREVENTION TIPS   1.  BUNDLE YOUR PRODUCTS - If you bundle your product with another product you make it really difficult for another seller to come on to hijack your listing. They will simply go find easier targets. You can try to bundle your product with an accessory or related product. You can also try to include some sort of e-book or training guide as part of the offer. Any products that I have bundled never have any hijackers. They simply go on to other easier targets.  2. BRANDING AND LOGOS - Make sure you brand your products with your custom logo. Also consider upgrading to custom packaging that also has your logo on it. Make sure you showcase your product and packaging in at least one of your product images. Also if you include any sort of insert card with the product make sure you show that in one of the product images. If you are only selling your product as "generic" then you are opening up yourself up to a hoard of hijackers.  3. ENROLL IN AMAZON BRAND REGISTRY - Once you enroll your brand and products into Brand Registry then you will have access to counterfeit tools such as Amazon Transparency and Amazon Project Zero. These tools help you prevent and combat hijackers and counterfeit sellers. Yes you need a valid trademark to gain access to Brand Registry but it's worth the effort. You can apply for one by going to USPTO.GOV or by using a trademark service such as Trademark Engine.  Want to know more about Amazon Transparency? - Check out a recent podcast I did here: Amazon Transparency Program - First Thoughts EP106 AFTER HIJACKERS ARE ALREADY ON   4. SEND A CEASE AND DESIST LETTER - Once you notice a Amazon listing hijacker you should send them a message or email through Amazon telling them to remove themselves from your listing. This will remove about 70% of the hijackers. I personally would send a follow up message as well to show them that I am serious and will take action against them accordingly.  5. DO A TEST BUY - After you send your messages to the sellers I would buy the item from the hijacker and have it quickly sent to you. You want to see exactly what they are selling. Once the package arrives simply inspect what they sent. If it's a counterfeit item then take pictures of it and make notes of what is different about it compared to what you send the customers. Then file a claim with Amazon and upload your images from the test buy. Amazon should act and remove them from your listing within time.  If you have access to Amazon Project Zero you don't need to file a report with Amazon. You can simply remove them yourself. How cool is that? 6. SETUP HIJACKER ALERTS - For an extra layer of protection you should consider setting up Amazon listing hijacker alerts. You can be notified immediately once you have unwanted hijackers. Then you can take action right away. If you have Helium 10 then you have access to this hijacker alerts tool and should have it set up. If you want this particular tool from Helium 10 then use my link and discount code to get a deal on Helium 10.  Helium 10 – A full suite of insanely powerful keyword tools designed to help you dominate Amazon and your competition. Pricing Strategies Every Amazon Seller Needs to Use w/Paulina Masson

Welcome To Episode #132 of the Amazon FBA Private Label Show Podcast! In this episode we share simple and actionable Amazon pricing strategies that you can implement today to make more money!  Listen to this Amazon FBA Podcast! [powerpress] Pricing Strategies Every Amazon Seller Should be Using Right Now w/Paulina Masson Are you using the correct Amazon pricing strategies to maximize sales and profit? I have found that most sellers tend to guess how to price their products. If you are guessing and don't have a strategy then you could be leaving a lot of money on the table. Sometimes small tweaks can have dramatic effects on how shoppers view your products which could lead to increased sales and profit.  On this episode I am joined by Paulina Masson of Shopkeeper.com where she breaks down some effective Amazon pricing strategies that every seller needs to be using. Paulina is an Amazon seller herself and has lots of knowledge around the psychology of pricing and how it effects buying behaviors.  EPISODE BREAKDOWN   Have A Clear Plan Before you even have your product made you should determine what type of buyer you are going to price and market your product to. You should have already evaluated the current market on Amazon to determine your potential pricing strategy. As an example if you notice that there are no "luxury" offers available on the market for a product then you could fill that void by creating a higher quality product in which you can charge higher prices.  You also should be studying the historical pricing of all the top competitors to get a feel for what the other sellers have been charging. You can use a tool like Jungle Scout to see this information.  Determine Your Buyer There are essentially 3 different main buckets of customers on Amazon. You have budget shoppers, value shoppers and luxury seekers. You should be evaluating the current marketplace to see where your competition fits in. If everyone is competing on having the lowest price then you may have opportunities to raise your prices to appeal to value or luxury shoppers.   Budget Shoppers - they are mainly looking for the lowest priced products and aren't to concerned with quality.  Value Shoppers - They are seeking a mix of value and quality. They won't just seek to find the cheapest option available.  Luxury Shoppers - They want a premium product with all the "bells and whistles" and they will be willing to spend a lot to get it.  Price Endings Matter Most products you see in retail end with the price of $0.99. We know that buying something for $12.99 looks like a much better deal than charging $13.00. Even though it's only a $0.01 difference. While using a price ending is ok you may want to consider using other odd number endings such as $0.97 or $0.95. Those price endings will get the customers attention as they are quickly scanning the sales page. Try to avoid even endings such as $0.92 or $0.94. Also if you are a selling luxury item then consider using a $0.00 ending. So instead of charging $34.99 simply charge $35.00. As with anything you should split test these price endings to determine which gets the most clicks and conversions.  Use odd price endings such as .99, .97, .95 Avoid even price endings such as .92, .94 Use .00 endings for luxury items  Split test to determine what sells the best for your items Amazon Coupons To drive clicks and more sales consider running coupons on your listings. The green banner will stand out as customers are scanning Amazon and it will catch their attention. A lot of sellers are not using coupons currently so you can really stand out. You can then experiment with using "percentage off" or "dollar off" coupons. Make sure to keep your coupons simple and easy for the customer to calculate. If you make the customer think too much they will get confused and move on to the next product.    What About Bundling? Once you have been selling a product for a while you should look at your sales reports to determine if bundling makes sense. If you notice that customer are often buying 2 or more of that product then you can create a variation and offer the customer more quantity options. You can then give the customer a better deal per unit if they buy more however you will usually save money in FBA fees when you ship out the bundled option.  Free Shipping? While a huge amount of Amazon customers are Prime members who automatically get free shipping there still are millions of shoppers that are non-prime. For them to receive free shipping they currently need to spend $25 or more. This is important to know when selling a product in that price range. If you are priced in the $20-$24.99 range then simple increase your price to something like $25.97 so that purchase no qualifies for free shipping. You will convert more non-prime customer with this type of pricing.  Business Pricing? If you aren't enrolled into Amazon Business yet then you should do that immediately. It should be free to enroll into and by doing so you can have access to business pricing for your products. You can set different quantity discount options right inside of your seller central dashboard. By doing so you will attract lots of business buyers and start generating extra sales by default. You will then be able to see your sales generated from business customers. Don't worry if you don't have business related products. Welcome To Episode #131 of the Amazon FBA Private Label Show Podcast! In this episode I give you my 3 step formula for creating a $1,00,000 dollar business and brand. Listen to this Amazon FBA Podcast! [powerpress] My 3 Step Formula for a $1,000,000 Business - Amazon FBA Recently I was at SellerCon in Las Vegas and I was listening to a presentation given by Ryan Danial Moran. Ryan was talking about how Amazon FBA has changed a lot over the years and that we as business owners need to think differently about our business and brands. Tactics that worked just a few years ago no longer work anymore. Ryan specified that we as business owners need to become real entrepreneurs and build real brands that we can grow and scale on and off of Amazon. We have the power and the tools to create real brands that are making money and making a difference in the world.  In this podcast I break down my 3 step formula for creating successful brand and how you can get to your first $1,000,000 in sales. You will see that once you build a real audience around your brand and products that achieving your sales goals will be easy. The focus should be on building real assets that you can control such as e-mail lists, ManyChat audiences, and social media assets. If you build valuable assets that are engaged with your brand and content then you won't be so reliant on the changes that frequently happen on Amazon FBA.  THE FORMULA TO $1 MILLION Find a niche and a specific customer to serve Build your audience + Launch 3-5 related products Your brand X-Factor  Now if you are just starting out selling online and on Amazon FBA then the thought of hitting $1 million is sales for the year may seem unattainable. If you follow the formula and shift your mindset a bit then you will find out you can easily hit the $1 million mark very quickly.  $1,000,000 = $2,739 per day Sell 5 products doing just $547 per day per product  Sell 5 products at $25 doing an average of 22 units a day for each product STEP 1 - FIND A NICHE AND CUSTOMER TO SERVE Build a brand and a business in and around a niche that interests you.  Generate ideas by writing down your interests and hobbies. Also browse Amazon categories for ideas.  Make sure the niche is thriving and has lots of demand Build a customer avatar for your target customer Age, Sex, Education, Interests, Hobbies, etc... What does your customer care about?  Where do they hang out online?  What problems are they facing?  Design your business, brand and products around solving your customers problems   STEP 2 - BUILD YOUR AUDIENCE + LAUNCH 3-5 PRODUCTS  Research and identify your first core product Start building and growing your audience and lists Start posting enraging content on social media  Invest $5-$10 per day on Facebook ads to grow your platform and audience Start building your email list and ManyChat audience  Include your new and growing audience in on your products development  Build excitement for your upcoming product launch Launch your product to your new "tribe" and use Amazon PPC Get tunnel vision on getting your product ranked to page 1 on Amazon Ask your "tribe" for testimonials of your brand and product Share these as pieces of content  Use product inserts to build a VIP customer list  Repeat the process for product # 2  Repeat the process for products 3-5 Start using other larger influencers audiences to launch products with Continue spending money every day on content and Facebook ads to grow your audience  Become obsessed with your customers product/brand experience and journey  STEP 3 - YOUR BRANDS X-FACTOR Why does your brand exist? What separates your products and brand from the competition? Understand that people care about what your brand represents  Connect your brand with a purpose, charity, movement, idea, etc... Then communicate that to them often Focus on creating raving fans The fastest way to get to $1,000,000 from a small micro brand selling on Amazon FBA is to get your customer to buy from you over and over again. Once they buy from you once they should be exposed to your brand story and what you represent. If your brand has an X-factor that speaks to your target customer then they will support you and buy the rest of your products over time. That's how you win. When you can get a single customer to buy everything you have to offer because they know and trust you.    Not a member of the Facebook Mastermind group yet? Join here!

Welcome To Episode #130 of the Amazon FBA Private Label Show Podcast! In this episode I talk with Brad Wayland of Quiet Light Brokerage about how to sell your Amazon FBA business for maximum profit.  Listen to this Amazon FBA Podcast! [powerpress] How to Sell Your Amazon FBA Business for Profit As an Amazon seller and brand builder the idea of selling your Amazon FBA business is certainly an exciting possibility. You've worked hard and now you are considering cashing out of your business. While the idea of doing that seems great you naturally have questions about the process of selling your online business. Recently I had Brad Wayland of Quiet Light Brokerage on the show where he explains how to sell your Amazon FBA business.  Brad has a wealth of knowledge and experience in selling online businesses and he wants to work with you on either buying or selling your online business.  Here are some important things to know and do before you start the process of selling your Amazon FBA business: HAVE GREAT BOOKS - If you have been neglecting your books and record keeping you need to get that in order. Potential buyers are going to want to see your financials and P&L statements so they can get a clear grasp of your business. Use programs like Quickbooks, Xero or hire a good bookkeeper from the Jungle Market. Also make sure your business records aren't mixed in with other side project businesses. Separate your business completely from everything else.  SHOW ACTIVE GROWTH - It's important that you show continued active growth of your business. Make sure you keep launching products and have a plan for all future product launches to show potential buyers. GET LEAN AND MEAN - Leading up to your sale try to become "lean and mean" with how you operate your business. Try to avoid experimenting and unnecessary business expenses.  DIVERSIFY - If you are selling on Amazon it will also help to have other business assets such as your own Shopify site or website that is also driving sales. Having any sort of audience or email list that is actively helping you drive sales will be a bonus.  SALES HISTORY - You will want at least 2-3 years of solid sales history to report and show for your business. TIMING - Don't wait to long to start the process of selling your business. Work with Brad to decide if now is the right time to get the process started.  WHEN NOT TO SELL - If you are truly enjoying building your business and having success with it then consider holding on to it until you no longer enjoy it anymore.  QUESTIONS FOR BRAD? The process of selling your online business can be a confusing journey. If you need guidance along the way then please reach out to Brad Wayland at Quiet Light Brokerage. Welcome To Episode #128 of the Amazon FBA Private Label Show Podcast! In this episode I share a quick story about running out of stock while selling on Amazon FBA and how to handle it if it happens to you.  Listen to this Amazon FBA Podcast! [powerpress] How To Handle Running out of Stock While Selling on Amazon FBA - EP128 If you've been selling online long enough then you are more than likely gonna run out of stock while selling on Amazon FBA. Let's be honest it sucks. Thinking about all the missed sales and profit is no fun and also thinking about your product dropping off in the rankings will drive most sellers crazy. What should you do though if you are going to run out of stock on an item you  are selling? Should raise the price to slow down sales a little bit? Should you lower the price to spike sales and conversions? And once you run out of stock should you close your listing out as many in the community said you should do?  These are all great questions and I have certainly shared my opinions on them in the past. I have also ran out of stock while selling on Amazon FBA more times than I would like to admit. Recently I ran out of stock on a good selling product and was without inventory for over 2 months. I never closed the listing or anything like that. Once I got back in stock the product went back to it's normal selling levels within a week. This is with just running PPC on the product. Nothing else. This really changed my perception about running out of stock while selling on Amazon. My thinking is that if you have a great selling product then you can easily bounce right back with minimal effort.    My Results:  Out of stock for over 2 months Started getting sales right away with PPC Moved to the bottom of page 2 for the main keywords within 2 days Moved to the bottom of page 1 for the main keywords within 5 days Moved to the middle of page one for the main keywords within 7 days Everything back to normal selling levels within a week My Opinion: I have ran out of stock many different times and have tried lots of different things each time to experiment. My current opinion is that you should just run out of stock naturally. Then once you get back in stock you can just run your PPC campaigns to start getting sales. If you have a good product and the market hasn't really changed then you should bounce back quickly. If you want to do things like closing out your listing as many sellers do then go ahead. I don't necessarily think that it matter either way. If you want to run some extra traffic by giving a coupon out to your e-mail list or Many Chat audience then do that. I just don't think it's necessary. Simply running Amazon PPC should be effective enough to get re-ranked and selling again.  Reasons I have ran out of stock before: My shipment was seized by customs for 2-3 weeks My factory had machines break down for weeks which delayed my order Severe weather and blizzards delayed shipments Tips to help you maintain stock at all times: Place larger orders to receive a lower cost per unit Send in inventory to Amazon FBA to last you 1.5 - 2 months Send in extra inventory to a nearby warehouse that can drip inventory to Amazon FBA as needed Know your factories holiday schedule each month so you can plan orders accordingly  Always have capital to place an immediate second inventory order on new products to maintain momentum    JUNGLE SCOUT CONTEST UPDATE! Welcome To Episode #127 of the Amazon FBA Private Label Show Podcast! In this episode I share 6 common mistakes that many Amazon sellers are making when in the Amazon FBA product research phase. Don't make these mistakes!  Listen to this Amazon FBA Podcast! [powerpress] 6 Common Amazon FBA Product Research Mistakes Sellers Make - EP127 Over the years I have seen many sellers make the same critical makes when in the Amazon FBA product research phase. They may use tools like Jungle Scout to help them come up with potential product ideas but they fail to fully validate the idea. Then later after they launch the product on Amazon the product doesn't sell like they expected. This can be demoralizing as all your hard work and investment goes down the drain. It's critical to go the extra mile to ensure that the product your are going to be selling on Amazon is set up for success.   6 common mistakes that many seller are making in the Amazon FBA product research phase:    FAILING TO KNOW YOUR NUMBERS AHEAD OF TIME You need to know what your total profit per unit is going to be after a sale How much is it to make per unit? What are the shipping costs going to be? What are your potential taxes and tariff when shipping? What are the Amazon FBA or Small and Light fees going to be per unit sold? How much is your listing or product images going to cost? What are the marketing costs going to be with your launch? Use the Jungle Market or Marketing Words to outsource your listing creation TRYING TO REINVENT THE WHEEL  Only sell product that are in demand Avoid product that have no or low demand Avoid selling products that require to much customer education before purchase  Don't get to cute or creative with your Amazon FBA product research ideas.  AVOID SELLING ITEMS THAT EASILY BREAK  Avoid selling items made of glass, takes batteries, is electronic Sell products with few moving parts Lower the risk for customer returns and disappointment FAILING TO PROPERLY EVALUATE THE ENTIRE MARKET Don't just evaluate the top few competitors.  Evaluate the entire first page of competition Understand how sales are being spread among all the top sellers Check listings for potential external traffic feeding sales Evaluate and check sales history over a long period of time using a tool like the Jungle Scout Web App AVOID PRODUCTS THAT ARE HYPER COMPETITIVE Focus on under the radar opportunities  Find products that are doing $5-$8K in revenue with low competition and high margin  Focus on launch and selling "singles" that could lead into doubles, triples or home runs.  AVOID SELLING PRODUCTS THAT MAY HAVE PATENTS OR OTHER LEGAL RESTRICTIONS  If you come across a product that is doing very well and it has minimal competition the product may potentially have a patent protecting it Check to make sure you can legally sell products without issue Use the USPTO site or similar to check for patents ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------       Want to get entered to win a license for a Jungle Scout chrome extension? This is where the gold is.  Sell products that are easily gift-able You can charge more and stand out when your product is gift-able Explore selling gift-able products for retirement, weddings, bachelor parties, mothers day, fathers day, etc... Use Google Trends Use the filters and search bar to dig to find what ideas, topics and products are currently trending Pay attention to pop culture and what's happening in the news Gender reveal products, re-usable straws and bags Facebook Groups are pure gold Join lots of Facebook groups for niches that you are interested in Be a fly on the wall and observe what people are talking about What products are other sellers trying to promote in these groups? Join deal sites and groups that other Amazon sellers are using to launch products Pay attention to products that are being launched and avoid commonly launched products  Use Pinterest and Etsy for Amazon product research ideas Use the filters to find popular topics and products You will find unique items with these platforms Use niche websites Get off of Amazon and use Google to find leading niche websites  Explore their best sellers, featured products and unique items they are selling -------------------------------------------------------       Want to get entered to win a license for a Jungle Scout chrome extension? My thoughts on recent Amazon account suspensions and product launch services

Welcome To Episode #125 of the Amazon FBA Private Label Show Podcast! In this episode I share my opinions and thoughts on some of the recent Amazon seller account suspensions and the use of Amazon launch services.  Listen to this Amazon FBA Podcast! [powerpress] My Thoughts on the Amazon Account Suspensions and Launch Services - EP125 Recently you may have heard of some reports going around about sellers getting their Amazon accounts suspended by Amazon. It appears that some of these violations were from rank manipulation from the use of Amazon launch services. In this podcast I share my thoughts and opinions on the subject and I also share my advice on launching products on Amazon in the current climate.  WHAT I THINK: I think Amazon is looking to detect larger scale manipulation and sometimes smaller sellers get caught up in the web. I would however make sure you aren't doing anything at scale to show up on Amazon's radar. If your product has tons of deeply discounted sales attached to it now I think that sends up red flags to Amazon. It's best if things appear natural to Amazon so suddenly getting 100 reviews on a brand new product may not look natural to Amazon and could lead to issues with your ASIN and account.  If you are using an Amazon launch service and are still having great results with getting your product rank then proceed with caution going forward. Ultimately just be safe so you can protect your account from any issues.  IF YOU WANT TO USE AMAZON LAUNCH SERVICES:  Contact the site or service and ask them about their process for launching products Who are their buyers? How do they distribute your links? How do they distribute your codes? If the Amazon launch service says they are within Amazon TOS then take that with a grain of salt.  They may have been compliant in the past but not anymore as Amazon changes their system and guidelines.  Try to avoid launching to professional freebie deal seekers. Ultimately you are responsible for your account activity  MY ADVICE:  I think the best route forward for any Amazon seller is to build your own audience that you can launch product to. That way you control everything and you are building a real asset that you can keep using again and again.  You should either be building your own e-mail list or ManyChat list. Both are great and have their advantages.    If you haven't yet please check out Episode 122 where Michelle Barnum Smith breaks down ManyChat for Amazon sellers. Welcome To Episode #123 of the Amazon FBA Private Label Show Podcast! In this episode I share my tips for finding and dealing with great suppliers for my e-commerce business. Listen to this Amazon FBA Podcast! [powerpress] Tips For Finding and Dealing with Great Suppliers - Amazon FBA EP123 Once you find a great product that you want to start selling on Amazon FBA you need to find an equally great supplier that can make it for you. Using a bad supplier can result in poor product quality, missed deadlines, poor communication and ultimately poor product sales. The search for finding a great supplier can be a frustrating and time consuming process. Randomly searching sites like Alibaba, Global Sources and Thomas Net aren't always effective as there are often lots of bad suppliers to weed through. It is essential that you find great suppliers for your e-commerce or Amazon FBA business to succeed. Here are my tips to finding a great supplier:  If you are using Alibaba, Global Sources, Thomas Net etc... Look to see how long the supplier has been in business. Try to avoid suppliers without a long track record of business. How much business is a supplier currently getting? How well are their websites put together and organized? If you are using Alibaba check to see if they are a Gold Supplier, have an Onsite Check completed, accept Trade Assurance Check the company profile pages to further inspect the business A quicker and more efficient way of finding a supplier is to search the import records of top sellers. Make a list of the top players in your niche and search to find their company and brand names. Use sites like Panjiva.com or similar to search import records If you have the Jungle Scout Web App then you now have this functionality built in. Use it to save tons of time. If sellers are consistently using certain suppliers for a lot of order then that is a good sign. WATCH THIS VIDEO  Once you have a list of 3 - 5 potential suppliers to work with you need to start reaching out to them. You need to test them and see how well they respond to your inquiry. This is all about narrowing down to find the right supplier that is gonna meet your needs and be easy to work with. I usually have a set list of questions that I send to each supplier. Here are some of the basic questions I like to ask. It's also important that you number the questions as it makes it easy for the supplier to read and respond to you. Sample Questions How much are samples? Is the sample fee refundable with an order? What are the different packaging options you offer? Can I customize the product and private label the product? How long does it take for a typical order to be completed? What are the payment options you accept? Once you send off these questions you just now wait to see how they respond. If you don't get a response then cross them off your list. You are simply gauging their answers and communication here. As I progress with the communication I may start to talk to them about price and MOQ information. How much per unit for 500, 1000, 2000, 5000? Tell them you want to place a "starter order" of a relatively small quantity to test their product and services. If everything goes smooth then you will place larger orders. Always frame everything as Win-Win for both parties. If you are going to start negotiating lower prices then explain your reasoning and how it would benefit them long term. You can check sites like 1688.com for potential pricing comparison. It's worth noting that being to aggressive on pricing can backfire on you if you don't have any rapport built up. Here are some important points to always keep in mind: Ask them if they have a full product catalog/PDF they can send you. Many times the supplier won't have a fully updated website as they are adding new products all the time. Kindness goes a long way so be kind! Always have clear communication and avoid using slang Focus and tell the supplier that you want to build a long term business partnership that is mutually beneficial. Build rapport with your supplier representative Ask them personal stuff about themselves Praise and compliment them often Share personal stuff about yourself with them Share any fun pictures or videos when necessary FINAL NOTE: It's often the goal of many sellers to want to find the supplier with the lowest prices. From my experience that isn't always the best idea as many suppliers will cut corners on materials and packaging to compensate. I am usually willing to spend a little more money per unit if I know the supplier can deliver exactly what I am asking for in a timely manner. I will also be willing to spend more to work with certain suppliers if I know dealing with them is going to be easy. So price is important but don't sacrifice quality because if you do that could lead to poor product reviews and a poor customer experience.   Not a member of the Facebook Mastermind group yet? We also talked about how 8 and 9 figure Amazon sellers are having so much success. There are a lot of great takeaways and nuggets laced throughout this entire episode so make sure you listen to the very end. Heck even listen to it twice for maximum impact!  PRODUCT SELECTION TIPS AND STRATEGY  Find products and build brands in boring niches like office supplies. They attract less attention because they aren't sexy or exciting. Find a product market to build a brand in and not just individual products. Have a big picture long term brand strategy. Find high traffic keywords where the current product assortment is lacking and customers don't have great products to choose from.  Use Viral Launch Product Discovery for this. GETTING AMAZON PRODUCT REVIEWS IN 2019  Use the Amazon early reviewer program. Ask customers for reviews in the follow up email sequences. Deliver a great customer experience and have great packaging. PPC AND TRAFFIC Focus on long tail keywords with low competition Cranking PPC spend to buy your way to the top no longer works Start 1 Auto Campaign - $20 budget Start 1 Individual Product Targeting Campaign - $20 budget Start a Broad and Phrase Campaign - $20 budget Graduate best performing keywords to exact match campaigns 2019 ADVICE AND MINDSET OF 9 FIGURE SELLERS Don't cut corners on anything. You will pay for it. Adapt or die with changes Don't be the bottle neck in your business. Hire and train VA's to get to the 8 and 9 figure level Stick with what's working and don't reinvent the wheel Build and audience to drive traffic from. Use Many Chat. Take action and get started. Don't be afraid to fail early and often. Keep pushing forward. Get in touch with Casey and the Viral Launch team! This breakdown should get you caught up to speed quickly.  Join me at SellerCon in Las Vegas in June! Grab your ticket here. Download my 20 Hot Products To Sell on Amazon right now PDF 4 HOT NEWS ITEMS:  1.  South Dakota Sales Tax Collection Amazon begins collecting and handling Sales Tax for the state of South Dakota starting March 1st. I recommend collecting sales tax in your home state at minimum. I use Tax Jar to do this for me as do many other Amazon FBA sellers.  As always please talk with your tax professional for advice and guidance.    2.  2018 Amazon Seller Results  Nearly 200,000 small and medium-sized businesses sold more than $100,000 in Amazon’s stores in 2018. More than 50,000 small and medium-sized businesses exceeded $500,000 in sales in our stores in 2018. The number of small and medium-sized businesses eclipsing $1 million in sales in Amazon’s stores worldwide grew by 20 percent in 2018.   3. Amazon Voice of the Customer Dashboard What is it? - A way for you to monitor your listings so you can address problems and avoid getting your listing shut down. CX Health is determined by comparing your offer’s negative customer experience (NCX) rate with those of similar offers. The NCX rate is the number of orders for which the customer reported a product or listing issue divided by total orders. Amazon listens to customer feedback across returns, refunds, customer service contacts, and product reviews. Comparing your offer’s negative customer experience (NCX) rate with those of similar offers. Takeaway - Look at the customer feedback to address any potential issues with the accuracy of your listing. Make sure the listing is accurate.   4. Amazon Project Zero What is it? - Amazon’s Project Zero will let brands remove counterfeit listings of their products. They will give brand owners the ability to do this on their own as long as you aren’t abusing it. Brand Registry is probably a must so enroll right away.  Need to get on the waiting list. Click to get on the list.  This works alongside Amazon Transparency.  Here is The Verge article I referenced so you can read further about Amazon Project Zero  Not a member of the Facebook Mastermind group yet? 3 Great Ways To Make Money On Amazon In 2019

Welcome To Episode #114 of the Amazon FBA Private Label Show Podcast! In this episode I break down 3 different ways to make money on Amazon other than private labeling.  Listen to this Amazon FBA Podcast!  [powerpress] 3 Great Ways To Make Money On Amazon In 2019 - EP114 There are quite a few different ways to make money on Amazon right now and I wanted to highlight and break down 3 great ways in this podcast. None of these methods have anything to do with private labeling by the way. So whether you are just looking to make a few extra dollars each month or create an entire full time business one of these methods might be perfect for you.  METHOD # 1 - AMAZON KINDLE PUBLISHING  I started off my online career with Amazon Kindle Publishing and I earned a good income from this method while learning a ton of valuable skills along the way. The sky is the limit with Kindle and I personally know publishers making a great living by publishing e-books on Amazon.  PRO: You don't need to be a writer or write your own books Minimal startup costs Can be very passive and you can easily scale  No inventory because it's all digital Can easily make a full time income once established  CON:  Very competitive  Can take a while to start making money  TIPS: Spend the extra money to hire great writers. Also spend extra money on quality covers.  As mentioned on the podcast I learned everything I needed to know about Amazon Kindle Publishing from the K Money Mastery course. I highly recommend you check it out if you are interested in starting your own publishing business.  Click to check out K Money Mastery here METHOD # 2 - MERCH BY AMAZON I love this method because it's really fun and it doesn't really cost anything to get started. All you are really doing is creating cool designs that will go onto things like t-shirts and Amazon will print and ship the shirt once someone buys it off of Amazon. Print on demand has exploded the past few years and their is still so much money to be made with it. You can literally upload your designs and start making money on Amazon immediately.  PRO: Very low barrier of entry to get started Almost no money to get started No inventory to handle or customers to deal with You can scale and outsource the entire process very easily CON:  You probably aren't going to make a ton of money from it It can take a lot of designs to get one that really hits It takes a long time to get accepted into the program TIPS: Focus on trends and pop culture if you want to have a lot of success. Focus on sports, politics, music and movies.  METHOD # 3 -RESELLING / RETAIL ARBITRAGE  This is a fantastic way to make money on Amazon if you need some extra cash fast. You are simply finding and buying items from local stores or shops and then selling them for a higher price on Amazon. Sellers may go to stores such as Walmart and find deals on certain clearance items and buy them for a very low price and then send them into Amazon to sell them for more.  PRO:  It doesn't take much money to get started Great for making money on Amazon fast You don't need to market or promote your products CON:  You can't scale this business  You are exchanging time for money so it's not passive at all  TIPS: Focus on items such as books or college text books. Search your house for old text books that you can send into Amazon to make a good profit on.    Amazon Owes You Money!  * If you have been selling on Amazon for any period of time then their is a good chance that Amazon owes you money. If you are not actively submitting cases for reimbursements for customer return issues and lost inventory then you are potentially missing out on thousands of dollars that Amazon will reimburse you for. As I mentioned on the podcast I have been using a great service that manages all this for me now. So far I have gotten back thousands in the past few months. How much will you get back? Welcome To Episode #113 of the Amazon FBA Private Label Show Podcast! In this episode I give you 3 big reasons why many Amazon FBA sellers fail to become successful selling on Amazon. Listen to this Amazon FBA Podcast!  [powerpress] 3 Big Reasons Why Amazon FBA Sellers Fail - EP 113 I want you to wildly succeed selling on Amazon FBA. Right now there are thousands of sellers making it happen every single day. They are running great businesses using the power of Amazon to launch products and start amazing brands. On the other hand their are a lot of sellers that struggle and eventually fail. Why is that? Why do some have wild success and others give up and move on to yet another business venture? As a successful online seller I have come up with my best 3 reasons on why Amazon FBA sellers fail and why some become successful. SELLERS DON'T FULLY COMMIT  Treat as a real actual business Need to set attainable goals Need to have laser focus  Avoid shiny object syndrome Buy a course to accelerate results   NOT HAVING ENOUGH CAPITAL  Lacking money for marketing or giveaways is trouble Come at your launch from a position of strength Try to avoid a loan. It's a bad idea.   Acquire more capital by flipping items on Amazon and Ebay THEY GIVE UP TO EARLY Successful sellers keep pushing forward We all have setbacks and failed products. It's normal. Failure is feedback You are 1 product away from changing your life   Please join me at Seller Con this June in Las Vegas I like to attend a handful of marketing and Amazon events a year as it's a great way to network with other sellers while learning new skills. This event is supposed to be one of the best for Amazon sellers to attend and I am really excited to check it out this coming June. Come join me! GRAB YOUR TICKET TO SELLER CON 2019 HERE!
