This week's episode follows the path of Hope, who has formerly been on the show as Danika Gisvold. Last year, Hope left her career, left her home and community in Austin, deleted her social media, deleted all contacts in her phone, and started fresh in Oregon with her husband. Doing this was not a rash decision, but a call from her heart when she allowed herself to be stripped back and humbled through plant medicine ceremonies and sitting back into silence. This episode is about what happens when a soul fully follows the call to step into massive change with complete trust. Episode Highlights: - Why she changed her name from Danika to Hope and moved from her home and community in Austin- The journey and lessons of being literally thrown in the mud and feeling her entire identity being scraped clean during a dieta in Peru- Why Hope got off social media, and the shared experience of social media sucking our life force and reinforcing our egoic illusionsRelated Episode: Whispers of Owning Your Light (Language) If you're reading this now, pause this episode, go outside, and take a moment to feel the sun and the fresh air. This week we have writer, photographer, mother, and certified life coach, Kristine Casart on the show. She's recently published a very important book called, the Unconventional Addict: A Guide to Healing, Transformation, and Living with Purpose”, which explores her own life's journey of personal growth while inviting others to look deeply into their own lives, uncover hidden strengths, and live a life filled with meaning. As they will discuss in depth on this episode, the “unconventional addict” is someone who doesn't check off all the boxes of what we assume would be a “typical” addict. But, as you'll soon learn through Kristine's story, you don't have to match the typical addict or hit a hard rock bottom to set yourself free of dysfunctional relationships with substances and people. Addiction is a symptom of something deeper happening within, and Kristine's story and life's work guide people to reconnect with themselves, break free from limitations, and ignite the spark within. Highlights from this episode: - How Kristine realized her dreams of becoming an author - The development of her shadowy, reckless alter ego, Samantha, during moments of trauma and dissociation in childhood - Kristine and Stephanie's shared experiences with addiction to suffering - Community resources for people ready for recovery and the loved ones involvedConnect with Kristine: www.kristinecasart.comBuy her book on Amazon: "The Unconventioned Addict: A Guide to Healing, Transformation, and Living with Purpose" Her Instagram: kristinecasartResources: Find AA Meetings Find CODA (codependents anonymous) MeetingsFind Al-Anon (for loved ones) MeetingsSober Mom Squad We Are the Luckiest: Online Sober Support GroupIf you'd like to connect with Stephanie, you can find her here:Instagram-@schoolofwhispers @__steef___ email-schoolofwhispers@gmail.com If you would like to schedule an acupuncture appointment with Stephanie at Balance Point Acupuncture, you can either visit www.balancepointacu.com or call 561-615-4535 to schedule your appointment today.DISCLAIMER: This podcast is presented for educational and exploratory purposes only. Welcome to the final episode of season three! This is an intimate and vulnerable solocast with your host, Stephanie, as she reflects on the life-changing lessons from this transformative season of her life. Over the past year, Stephanie found herself at a crossroads, realizing she had lost touch with who she was and needed to make a profound change. That journey began with one crucial step: embracing the emotions she had avoided for so long. This path has led her from feeling like a victim, to becoming an observer of her life, and ultimately stepping into her power as a creator. As you'll soon learn from this episode, the journey towards embracing her role as the creator in her life has required her to walk through the fire, embrace becoming ashes, and let go of life as she's known it. Episode Highlights: - Why energy work and relying on others to remove your "trapped emotions" or "entities" won't truly set you free. - The different types of karma and how they connect to the emotions you resist feeling. - A playful yet profound practice called Existential Kink; how it's played a role in teaching Stephanie to embrace the darker, twisted emotions and edges of her mind - The concept of “hungry ghosts” and “phantoms”—and how to recognize if you are one Show Notes: Podcast: Reclamation Radio with Kelly Brogan MD episode 24: Existential Kink and Why It hurts So Good with Carolyn Elliott Book: Existential Kink by Carolyn Elliott, PhD Book: Busting Loose From the Money Game: Mind-Blowing Strategies for Changing the Rules of a Game You Can't Win by Robert Scheinfeld Book: Letting Go: The Pathway of Surrender by David R. Welcome back to the show! We're hitting 2025 strong with an interview with astrologer, acupuncture physician, and farmer, Dr. Steve Moreau. Dr. Steve would describe himself as a meta-physician, and within his practice of several decades, he does a beautiful job at combining the metaphysical with the medical. Today, we go full metaphysical and dive into astrology. We focus on the planets, particularly Saturn and this crazy thing it does in our lifetimes roughly around the ages of 27-32 of returning to its placement in the sky when we are born. Saturn is the planet of discipline, invaluable lessons, and tough love, so whether you've yet to hit your Saturn return, you're in the thick of it, or on the other side, this conversation will help you understand what the hell happened to you during that time in your life. Highlights from this episode: - How illness (what we would describe as liver qi stagnation in TCM) brought him to Chinese Medicine, which eventually brought him to Sri Lanka, where he found astrology - The main differences between Vedic and western astrology - The different characters/consciousness of the planets within astrology - What the heck is a Saturn return and how to best navigate through it - The wild astrological forecast for the United States for the next 5 or so years Connect with Dr. Steve: https://www.deepdivewithdrsteve.com/ If you'd like to connect with Stephanie, whether it's to chat about life or inquire about working with her, feel free to reach out through either of the following: Instagram- @schoolofwhispers @__steef___ email- schoolofwhispers@gmail.com If you would like to schedule an acupuncture appointment with Stephanie at Balance Point Acupuncture, you can either visit www.balancepointacu.com or call 561-615-4535 to schedule your appointment today. This week's episode is a vulnerable share from your host, Stephanie, about her experience working through the first step in Al Anon. Al Anon is a group for loved ones of addicts, and within this group, Stephanie has found community and a path towards a new way of living. As she begins her work through the twelve steps, she's found herself as a standstill within the first one: admitting she powerless over her attempts to control and manage her life when it has become unmanageable. Working through these steps is not for the faint of spirit- it requires full trust in a Higher Power and willingness to surrender to the path ahead. Highlights from this episode: - Her journey with her spirituality- from being raised within the Catholic religion, stepping away from her prior concepts of God and redefining her spirituality, and now once again finding herself at a crossroads, - The mixed bag of emotions she has towards the first step (we low key hate it lol). - Her journey of moving through fear and stepping away from the insanity of believing she can control and fix everything in her life. If you are feeling alone and hopeless within being affected by the sickness of addiction (in any respect), please do not hesitate to reach out and/or find your own Al Anon, AA or NA group. Overcoming this sickness requires letting people in- and sometimes it's hard to find the right people who get it. During that time, she will be learning and receiving deep medicine (including ayahuasca) from Shipibo shamans who will be assigning her an Amazonian “master plant” to sit with during her time there. This dieta is one of isolation, so Stephanie will be living alone in a small hut following a very strict diet and with limited social interaction in order to learn from her master plant. This episode is all about her pre-dieta journey, which has been an intense ceremony in itself! Episode Highlights More details into what a dieta is- and the difference between an ayahuasca dieta and the dieta Stephanie signed up for Lessons Stephanie has learned from re-reading “The Alchemist”- and she dives into the concept of our “Personal Legends” The deep somatic and visionary experiences Stephanie has had while in ceremony with cannabis and hapé, ceremonial tobacco snuff Stephanie's struggles in giving up cannabis An epiphany Stephanie had about her body's messages around Ayahuasca so much more! The podcast will be on pause for the next few weeks, so make sure your subscribed so that you don't miss the next episode. All sessions/ceremonies will be on pause until further notice as well. It's time for part 2 of one of my most popular (and possibly controversial) podcast- 10 Ways You're Hurting Your Health According to a Student of Chinese Medicine. On this show your host, Stephanie, will be diving into herbs, emotions, periods, cravings, and more 5 element theory. She got a bit overzealous and accidentally included one bonus tip- so we're actually sharing 11 ways on the show today! As always, please take everything Stephanie has to say with a grain of salt- remember YOU are the authority on your health and if something I share doesn't resonate, then you can move on. However, if a tip she shares feels triggering, we invite you to sit with that and consider testing out these theories based on thousands of years of ancient medicine. 1. Using the same herbs, supplements, and spices every day 2. Not allowing yourself to cry….and crying too much 3. Not looking at the colors and textures of your bodily excrement 4. Taking antibiotics 5. Assuming a painful period is a normal period 6. Not looking deeper into your food cravings 7. Constantly seeking joy 8. Not living by the seasons 9. Allowing fear to make decisions for you 10. Over-doing/healing it —> trust your body to do its thing Bonus! 11. Not slapping your body more If you would like to receive the PDF of notes from this podcast and help this show grow, remember to write your review on your listening platform, send a screenshot of it to Stephanie, and she will send you detailed notes! Today's show looks a little bit different. Usually, your host, Stephanie, has a loose plan when she has guests on the show. Instead, a day at the park with movement and mindset coach, Laryssa, turned into an unplanned, free-flowing conversation about self love. So today, Laryssa and Stephanie will be walking each other through various chambers of self love: loving oneself as a physical being, emotional being, and finally as an energetic being. Laryssa has a beautiful, raw way of being- and she doesn't hold back as Stephanie asks her the tough questions. A few highlights from the show: - Lessons from learning to love their body hair - The medicine of ecstatic dance- moving your body without shame - How anger has taught both Laryssa and Stephanie how to accept their past and own their emotions - The magic that comes with radical self responsibility To connect with Laryssa, click here for all of her social media and other opportunities. This episode is about healing mother & father wounds- however, it has very little to do with our “human” parents. Your host, Stephanie is referring to reconnecting with the Universal “Mother” and “Father” energies which are constantly supporting, loving, and protecting us as we walk through this lifetime. Unrealistic expectations we place on our parents, childhood wounds, distrust of ourselves, toxic relationships with food, drugs, and other humans- they can make it so easy for us to believe we're alone and unsafe. When we face opportunity for growth with resistance, these wounds can quickly become our excuses for staying small. For Stephanie, this journey began for her during her first bufo experience. After the heavy realizations that come with healing ancestral wounds, returning to her regular life pushed her to redefine where she seeks safety and comfort. To be completely real with you, she resisted of lot of this growth at first, and she sought out to numb herself for months before surrendering to this new lesson. She shares how she's navigated through these realizations, let go of her expectations, her crutches, and stepped into a new journey unfolding before her. Highlights from this episode: - How releasing trauma can feel SO good (regardless of how scary it feels) - Her struggles with her relationship with weed, a mother medicine, and how she shifted her formerly toxic relationship with it - An acupuncture protocol she received to help her face what she was running from - Her reintroduction with “father” energy after years rejecting any semblance of the Catholic mold of “God the Father” she grew up with - Details into a new, powerful ceremony Stephanie created called Golden Ceremony - The unexpected connections Stephanie has made with the Hindu deities, Kali and Shiva, and how they've helped release shame Related episode: - Whispers of People Pleasing Revolution - Whispers of Celibacy and Channeling Kali with Vanita - Whispers of Bufo and 5-MeO-DMT - Whispers of Kambo and Sananga - Whispers of Esoteric Acupuncture p 1 - Whispers of Working with Your Inner Child Blog post: My Mushroom Journey: Healing the Divine Masculine If you'd like to work with Stephanie (and look deeper into Golden Ceremony!) visit www.schoolofwhispers.com to learn more. Stephanie once again sits down with her best friend, Kasey Rivero, and they discuss their experience with the sacred toad medicine, bufo. Bufo contains 5meo-DMT, a potent chemical compound which enables a very quick, very intense ascension. With that ascension, one enters a realm which enables healing, helps you find the keys to unlocking true potential, can even bring you to “God”, and so much more The thing about this “ascension” is- we're all human. We're all meant to come back down. And boy, have they felt themselves riding that rollercoaster. This is a podcast for anyone who's craving inspiration to reveal their full self, for anyone interested in sitting in ceremony with bufo, for anyone who thinks they want to do DMT because it “sounds like fun”, and for anyone who loves a good story into the astral realms. Highlight from this episode: - The difference between 5meoDMT and DMT - The difference between a ceremony with bufo and one with ayahuasca - Stephanie's bufo experience with the intention to feel her full love, to feel her full truth, and to feel safe in this knowing - The experience of Stephanie's light language unlocking within ceremony - Kasey's ceremony with the intention of balancing her feminine and masculine energy - The karmic ties and repeating patterns between Kasey and her mom, and how Kasey let that connection go - So much more- it's a trip!
